It's my second time here. The first time I did dipping powder and it didn't look good at all. I also did a pedicure and it was fine. The lady who does the pedicure is a bit aggressive. Second time I had specific design on what I wanted and they recommended for the procedure to be tips, dipping powder, and a gel coat on top. This all cost $85 + $25 for pedicure and I tipped manicurist $20 and the pedicure at $10. All in all $140 that I spent for two hours there. Kiki did a phenomenal job. I have trust issues with nail salons because I prefer to not have to get my nails done until 4 full weeks. Thankfully I found Kiki because these nails truly last LONGER than 4 weeks if I really wanted them to. See the 2 photos below (fresh set vs 3.5 weeks later). A lot of other places have only lasted me 2-3 weeks at most. You can also tell Kiki is knowledgeable. She was informing me abt my nail type and what she needed to do for them to last longer (buff). Do not recommend Price gauging. Contacted nail salon to schedule an appointment and inquired about the cost of the services prior to booking an appointment. I was told one price over the phone and at the end of the service was quoted a completely different price. There was a $30 price difference! In real time their nail tech Mimi lied about the price of the services provided and claimed she would apply a discount. However at check out I was charged a much higher amount. The work was sloppy. There was polish left on my skin afterwards that was not cleaned up! An amateur mistake and for the price truly expected a higher level of craftsmanship. There's plenty of other nail salons in the area. There is no reason to settle. Too bad the salon looks pretty and nearby. Oh well! Onto the next! read more

I lost count on how many manicure/pedicure places there are on Avenue M and was surprised to see the grand opening of a new one. However I'm a sucker for gold shiny things and, boy, does this place have that. It's so pretty from the light fixtures down. I am not sure what their plans are for the exposed ceiling with duct tape around the pipes holding the aluminum stuff together. (Ok so I don't know the technical terms.) The pink chairs there that are for pedicures are adorable but I much prefer a comfy special pedicure chair that gives massages! It was 90 degrees outside and they had the door open. Flies were coming in and enjoying the decor with me. To their credit they closed the door when i asked. They did a decent job with mani and pedi for $26. I took off the two points for the uncomfortable pedi chair and open door/flies. They're average, not bad. read more

The atmosphere is so beautiful and the other 2 ladies were amazing, especially the one who did my pedicure; but Nina? Nina seemed tired and annoyed. She rushed my nails. 2 nails look like press ons. 2 nails weren't painted all the way. My cuticles are still yelling for help. She slapped lotion on my hands before i had a chance to wash them. I paid $89 for a powdered (sns) manicure (I'd rather do gel) and a gel pedicure... don't think it was worth it. 2 stars for the other 2 lady's though (didn't get their name) they were kind and professional. read more

Loved this place. It was clean and beautiful. There is relaxing jazz music and it's quiet when you're there- truly relaxing. Second time here was today; got a manicure from Kiki- she is sociable and kind. Their polish lasts forever- it hasn't been weakened with whatever most other salons put in their polishes. She even told me I didn't need to cut my cuticle all the way- love an honest technician. Will be coming here for a long time!! read more

Terrible job. Went in with my mom, who got Lily while I got Nina. My mother is very happy with her manicure. Me, definitely not. Nina disregarded my instructions not to file my nails down with the electric machine! I was just getting regular gel, not sns powder so I didn't need that done! Then she sloppily applied the polish, making some nails chunky, some nails thin and getting it all in my cuticles. Polish cracked after a few days bec she filed my nails down too much to the point that they are now brittle. So not only did I pay $30+ tip for a horrible job, I need to wait for my nails to grow out bec they are way too thin and painful. To top it all off, I had gone with my mom and was paying for my own nails but bec I'm relatively young she very condescendingly asked me "so mommy's paying for you??" And then laughed as if she didn't believe me when I said I was paying. Should have refused payment and definitely shouldn't have tipped that nasty tech read more

As mentioned in another review, the woman doing pedicures is very rough. I went in for a pedicure and asked for razor for my calluses (something I always get in any salon I'm going to), and I left completely cut up and not being able to walk. She was very rough and took a chunk out of my heel. My heel was bleeding and stinging after she proceeded to place some moisturizers on it that she shouldn't have. She then tried to bandage it up, but it wouldn't stick due to all the products she had already placed on it. It was only after I asked, that they offered me a $6 discount on my pedicure because of the trouble. Absolutely ridiculous. I am upset at the result of this experience because the other women there do acrylic and sns nails very well. However, after hobbling home that day, I'm not going back. read more

I so rarely leave reviews, I think this was my second ever. I really wanted to like this place because it looked pretty, clean (it looks like they recently opened), and the prices seemed reasonable. I walked in after a rough week, excited to try them out. I left more stressed out. I rarely take the time to review, but when I was picking polishes, I grabbed one, and one manicurist started barking that it was $2 extra, so I asked which ones are and which ones aren't. Instead of walking over to help, she just sat there despite not being occupied with a client, sounding incredulous that I didn't know which was what. The misunderstanding took too long to clear up, and I felt uncomfortable and stressed about being barked at. Not the feeling you want walking into a place that is meant to be a self-care/spa-like place. When the misunderstanding was cleared up, it turned out I hadn't taken the $2 extra polish to begin with anyway, so the technician was wrong, and wasting a minute or two for her own error. No apology was given. I went in for a mani/pedi, but couldn't be bothered to stay moment a moment past the pedi. I even considered walking out from the red flags, but I already had started the pedi and felt immediate major regret. Most places I have been to have always had some level of good service. This was rushed, my heavy bag was not noted, and nothing was really acknowledged about me. The person who did my pedi had a rough touch, kept patting hard, and not communicating well at all or in earnest. When the acetone stung my toes, there was no care. Even putting on slippers was rough. Every interaction was just kind of a huge bummer, honestly. The worst part was probably that there was no feeling of service whatsoever (specifically being yelled at about the polish choice being $2 extra and not being helped to know which would not be). Maybe it will be better for future clients, or on other days depending on staff, but that really was a damper on my Friday evening. read more
