Amazing service, amazing lab techs, and organized. They have my business locked in. I do recommend this lab.

In terms of speed of service, these guys have typically always been fine, in my experience. I've never made an appointment, have always been a walk-in, and am seen almost immediately. Very little wait time. No issue with cleanliness, either. The issue is, 100%, the disgruntled jerks they seem to exclusively hire. Whoever is behind the counter at any given time (usually an older white woman with glasses) is never, ever pleasant. Not even decent. Just these grumbling, unhappy people who foist their bad day -- which seems to be every day -- onto patients. And I get it -- just sitting in there this afternoon you had one guy who comes in, obliviously crashes right into the table next to the door, and doesn't move it back, and a patient who had to be told twice which room to go into. People don't listen and they have rotten attitudes. But unless they've demonstrated rudeness or stupidity, there's no reason to treat people poorly. So when I walked up this afternoon and saw a sign that read the following, I read it as, "this place is appointment-only except during a short period in the morning": "Effective 9/25 until further notice: Due to unforeseen event [typo on their part], San Leandro location will be appointment only with accepting walk-ins when time permits from 7:00-8:30 am." I'm an English major and a content marketer, meaning, I write for a living. Anyone with a basic grasp of English would likely read this as I stated above: appointment-only location except during this short window in the morning, if time permits. Well apparently their phlebotomist, the middle-aged Asian woman who always wears her hair in a ponytail, thinks their poor, typo-riddled writing is so sublime that confusion on my part was just me being either too lazy or stupid to read the whole sign. Because when I asked her if they're appointment-only, she snidely remarked that if I'd read the whole sign, I'd see that they're only appointment-only in the morning. Apparently, what they meant to write was that they're appointment-only from 7:00-8:30 am, with the ability to squeeze in walk-ins during that window only as time permits. Not hard to write unless you're more focused on making everyone around you as miserable as you. I was extremely close to reading the phlebotomist the riot act, but I don't need to get myself banned from a LabCorp so close to my house, which I need regularly. So I just made sure to give her back her attitude in spades the entire visit and wasn't nearly as nice to her as I usually am. She seemed to be picking up what I was putting down because she tried to be nicer in the end. Way too late to play that game with me.

Labcorp - No, what you think this sign means isn't actually what it means, per the snotty phlebotomist.

It appears there is 1 single employee here doing everything. I'm writing this 2 hours into my time here and I still haven't seen anyone else that works here. When I was finally called back at 8:50, so 40min after my appointment time, I was told they had no record of the land my doctor ordered. So I had to go back and forth with phone calls and emails to sort that out. That was 30min ago. Labs have been sent and I'm still waiting because the 1 employee is with someone else now. She's clearly doing her best inside of horrible circumstances as well. Also, they send you into the bathroom to give a urine sample, there's a sign that instructs the proper hygiene and way to collect said sample - use wipes first. There are no wipes. This whole awful experience is a testament to the state of our crumbling healthcare system and how companies like quest don't care at all about patients but simply holding monopolies on making money off of us. Why was I not notified in advance that my lab order hadn't been received? Why is there only 1 person working in an entire lab? Why are there not basic hygiene supplies in a medical lab testing facility?

There is a City public garage located underneath the complex with its entrance on Franklin St. I received a text 50 minutes before my appointment to check in with the link provided upon my arrival. Arriving at 10:30, I checked in for my 10:45 appointment and I was instructed to wait outside, in my car, or waiting room. Wasn't going to go back to my car and the waiting room had limited seating, so I waited outside. There was a walk-up line with about 8 people queuing. Around 10:50, a worker came out to allow in three people that were queuing. I walked up and asked when I would be let in since I had a 10:45 appt. She said 'you didn't get a text to come in?" I said no and she told me to come in. The worker at the counter asked for my insurance and ID and for me to take a seat. As I was seated, a lady outside was screaming at a lady that was let in that she had cut the line while they had waited 1 1/2 hours. A worker determined that the lady let in came in with her mom who was in the queue and explained it to the unhappy lady, who was still upset. Within 5 minutes, I was called in. My blood was drawn and I was on my way. The check-in process to go in has issues, as I was not texted to come in and I had to inquire about the status. The walk-in line needs a better system, as there shouldn't be people screaming in the waiting room.
