I had a good experience at this location for routine blood work. You can book online and easily change the appointment if needed. I walked in and they had everything ready to go. I didn't even have to do any paperwork. I was out in 10 minutes. Everything was clean and organized. Great service! This place is by appointment only so don't just walk in. read more

Far and away the best location for your lab needs if LabCorp is your lab. I've use this one and the one in Daly City. I would recommend both, but this location was a just a touch above. I wish I could remember the lab tech's name that runs it because she is nothing short of amazing. She's polite, professional, thorough, thoughtful and fast. An amazing combination. What you need to know, however, is that she works alone. If there are two or three people ahead of you, she will be as thorough with them as she is with you. That means you may have to wait for a brief time. read more

A Deeply Disappointing and Traumatizing Experience at Labcorp Millbrae Our recent visit to Labcorp Millbrae was one of the most distressing experiences we've had as parents, and I feel compelled to share what happened in hopes that no other family goes through what we did. From the moment we walked in, we were met with a dismissive and short attitude from the only staff member working that day. While we initially gave her the benefit of the doubt--assuming she might be under pressure--we had no idea this interaction would spiral into a nightmare. Our 14-month-old daughter needed a blood draw to test for food allergies. As parents, we were already nervous and emotionally on edge. But things quickly unraveled when the phlebotomist began showing signs of confusion and uncertainty. She couldn't even clearly tell us how many vials she was supposed to draw--first stating she couldn't draw that much blood, then moments later saying she could. This flip-flopping, combined with her visibly shaky hands and scattered demeanor, immediately raised concerns about whether she was prepared or equipped to handle the situation. What followed was heartbreaking. She attempted the blood draw twice, both times inserting the needle while visibly flustered, moving it around in our daughter's arm while trying to find a vein. Our baby screamed and cried, and we stood there helpless, watching in horror as someone we trusted inflicted unnecessary pain. Despite these two painful attempts, she failed to collect enough blood and ultimately told us the partial vial she had drawn would have to be thrown out. What made matters worse was the complete lack of accountability. Instead of acknowledging that the draw was difficult or offering us a path forward, she blamed us for not holding our daughter correctly. There was no second staff member to help, no support, no backup plan--just excuses. When I asked if anything could be salvaged from the vial she managed to partially fill, hoping the trip and our daughter's suffering wouldn't be entirely in vain, I was met with vague, confused answers. She was unable to offer any solutions and even struggled to distinguish between Labcorp and Quest paperwork, further compounding the disorganization and chaos of the experience. We left the facility heartbroken, angry, and emotionally exhausted. We came in looking for clarity about our daughter's food allergies and left with nothing--no test results, no next steps, and a deep sense of guilt for putting our trust in someone who was clearly unprepared to work with children. It was traumatizing, both for our daughter and for us. To Labcorp's credit, I did speak with a supervisor afterward who was kind and understanding. But empathy after the fact does not undo the pain caused in the moment. I understand that healthcare workers are often overworked and under-supported, but that cannot justify the lack of care, composure, or accountability we witnessed--especially when it involves a baby. I sincerely hope Labcorp addresses this at a systemic level. Until then, I urge other parents to think twice before bringing their children here. No family should have to experience what we did. read more

Had to come here for lab work for my companies health assessment. Not too organized. The gentleman that took my vitals and drew my blood looked like he was new or inexperienced. He was not able to draw my blood. After 5 failed attempts and jabs he asked his coworker to take over. He was able to step in and get the job done. Don't think I will ever come back here. read more

It was an overall bad experience. It was the first time I went there and I went to a wrong location. Their check-in machine got some problem and I asked the person worked there. She was so rude and yelled at me "why do you press this! Who asked you do it bla bla" I mean the machine asked to "press here"...the office is in Millbrae...The people worked at San Francisco were very nice though but really hard to find a parking space. read more

This location has one phlebotomist drawing your blood, and she's also registering people. There's ONE self-check-in kiosk near the front door that's supposed to make things run more efficiently, but it doesn't. The kiosk is supposed to register, scan your ID, and insurance card, and add your name to the queue, and queue then the phlebotomist has to repeat some of these steps. This whole process took about 10 minutes before my labs were drawn, and only because there were no other patients at the time I arrived. The Phlebotomist asked for my DOB in an open echoey office where anyone could listen when she had my ID. This process is a redundant time-consuming step, and there should be at least 2 phlebotomists and one front desk person helping. As I was leaving, 10-15 people walked in wanting to register on a single kiosk. She was overwhelmed by the amount of patients that came in at the same time, and I can only imagine this happening to her daily. She went from computer to patient with zero handwashing in between and only switched out her gloves, which is disgusting. Minus the hand washing, the phlebotomist was very nice, but you can tell she was stressed. It looks like she might have early stages of Parkinson's, because she was a bit shaky, but managed to stick me without a problem or concern. She dropped the test tubes on the floor and then used them to get samples of my blood. I wasn't worried about contamination because the area used was not exposed to the floor, but worth mentioning. The stress she's under working alone will make her health worse because a multi-million dollar company like Labcorp won't hire a front desk person. Even a young healthy person, which she was not, would be overwhelmed. This is why I don't trust Western medicine and pharmaceutical companies anymore. Lab tests are a basic need to gauge what is lacking in your body so it can be addressed. My lab tests were ordered routinely, so they're processing time is 3 business dates from the date drawn. However, after three business days, they still weren't released. I had to email LabCorp because they don't have a customer service number for situations like these so now I have to wait until they remember to release it. I'm sure I'll get an, 'I'm sorry, I don't know what happened, or maybe it was a glitch excuse'. The inefficiency and poor management within a corporation like this is concerning. My insurance covers Labcorp, and I may have to change medical groups or pay out of pocket for better-quality services. America is known for being the most advanced in medicine, yet we have the sickest people. Let that sink in. read more

Went to the San Mateo lab. Went in the early morning. Worry about parking but going this early no problem able to park in front of the lab. In and out, no more than 45-30 minutes. Simple and easy. The nurse was very nice and friendly. read more

I went to the location on Ocean Ave. in San Francisco. I strongly suggest going onto their website and scheduling your appt online beforehand. Unless you have time to do a walk-in and wait your turn, that's your prerogative. Just know that anyone who makes an appt has priority over the walk-ins. Easy self check in, then sit down and wait to be called. In less than 15 minutes, I was called up, answered some questions, did a urine sample and sat back down to wait for my blood draw. Maybe another 10 minutes and I did my blood draw. Attendant was personable, caring and gentle during the procedure. Overall, the whole appt from start to finish took less than 30 minutes. The front desk attendant was pleasant as well. To my surprise, I received an email the next day that my results were in! For me, the whole experience was great! I would come back here again if the need arises. read more

The PST here was exceptionally professional, experienced and courteous, and was able to squeeze me into her busy schedule. During my visit she was the only person on duty, she had to manage the front desk as well as the blood draws etc. She would greatly benefit from additional staff; nevertheless, 5 stars! read more

I came in here with an appointment and was seen basically immediately for some routine bloodwork. The one lady who worked the front desk AND drew my blood was incredibly quick with both the administration work and the actual blood draw itself. I usually hate needles and blood drawing but she was so quick and skilled with the needle that I barely even noticed. Amazing stuff. read more

bad experience in this labcorp, the waiting time omg! my appointment @10:00 am but i have to wait til 11:00, why i need to make appointment? i think they should do first come first served is better that way since the lab don't go by appointment. i can tell the lab tech sneak some people without appointment to do the blood work isn't it something when it's stated by appointment only! read more

Marina at the Millbrae location is incredibly capable and kind! However, it is not fair to patients or to staff to have only one person working in the office. Please hire more staff for your locations. read more
