This place is horrible. They have one guy working- they say they take walk ins but I waited for about two hours and I was the only one on the list. Saw they had a lot of appointments at San Carlos location. So I drove over there instead. read more

This place has real customer service. I was so happy. I had to take my Dad for some blood work. So we picked here since it was really close to where he lives now. They have street parking. Which we got right in front. It is on it's own little side street so at the light make sure you go into the strip mall like or you will miss it. We got a spot right in front. Use the kiosk to check in since it wasn't for myself. Otherwise they usually text you and you check in from your phone. We sat down and soon they called our name. it's small inside maybe 4 stalls along a hallway. There were only 2 workers this day. We sat in the second stall and they lady said she had a draw from his primary doctor but this was supposed to be from a secondary doctor. I had authorization on my phone but I didn't print it out. My mistake. I tried to email it to their main server but it didn't work . She gave me her direct email and that didn't work either. The other worker came over and looked at the order on my phone. He gave me his number and i texted it to him. Then he was able to print it out. I thought we were getting away from paper but I just wanted the blood work done. They were both so nice and it was taking awhile so glad they were patient. She was able to draw the blood and all good. Thanks for being thorough and waiting for the order. She said it would take over an hour if they had to fax it from the doctors office since the fax goes to their main office then gets transferred here. Confusing but the key is always have your order in had when doing medical stuff. read more

Quest Diagnostics - Helping out my dad - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Millbrae, California

Manny did my draw and he definitely made me feel comfortable and did a great draw for 12 vials with virtually no discomfort at the draw site on my arm. Only thing was a 20 minute wait with an appointment. They seem slammed with the amount of walk ins and appointments. read more

Every time my left medium cubital vein feels sore I am triggered thinking about this location. During the worst time of my life I got a finger stick at work and needed to get multiple rounds of testing. I lived in Millbrae but I first went to the location in San Mateo due to its availability. My second and last time here I made an appointment because it's close to the apartment at the time and I had to go early in the morning. I went in and of course I had to wait despite my appointment. The phlebotomist took a long time to figure out my workers comp information which is confusing I wonder how the Quest system doesn't recognize previous visits? I gave all my paperwork from my worker comp so it wasn't for lack of me trying to help them. I also felt bad for her because she hurt her thumb earlier and was trying to work through the pain. I should have seen that as a sign to not continue but I had a very small window to get testing done. Nevertheless we continued and we spent 15 minutes resticking me multiple times - each time there was blood but not enough. After the fourth retry she gave up and asked someone else in the back to help out. The person was not at all sympathetic and yelled at me for not drinking water ahead of time. Honestly I didn't drink water during my first trip either but I read later that drinking water before blood drawn will make it easier. Sorry - didn't know but also didn't need to be yell at after being stabbed 4 times already. We did a dorsal vein drawn on my hand which wasn't too terrible but I felt so weak after I couldn't walk myself home. Very disappointed with the overall experience. I continue to feel pain to this day and it has been months. When I fold my elbow for a long period of time it still hurts! I got blood drawn 3 more times it being done on my right arm now and I've never felt that same pain as the left. I come from a place of understanding as a fellow medical professional but I was not treated with compassion unfortunately. I hope they improve their skills and professionalism. read more

Difficult to find. Impossible to contact them to get clarifying directions. Miserable waiting room environment - malfunctioning automated check in machine which makes the process really frustrating and no staff behind desk to help out. Phlebotomist had kind hands. It's the only good thing to be said about this place. Avoid & go to the one in San Mateo instead. read more

Be advised that this place is closed. Made an appointment weeks ago for a blood draw. Showed up today and the place was closed and a sign stated that they shut down "due to unforeseen circumstances". Website says they will be closed on Feb 1st until April? I did not get a call or email regarding the shutdown or any notice to reschedule my appointment. Other customers also showed up while I was there. Terrible service by Quest. read more

The most important tip is to get an appointment online. I tried one time to do walk in and it is very unlikely they will take you. I ended up going to the Daly City one for the walk in And of course even with the appointment, they were behind schedule, about 20 mins after the appointment On the positive side, friendly personnel and very clean facility. read more

Phlebotomist used great care with my shallow veins. I did not get a chance to catch her name but she was very sweet. I also experienced no bruising which is rare for me! I had an appointment, arrived about 10 mins early and I was seen within 5 mins of my appointment time. For reference it was 3pm on Friday. read more

I had a pleasant and quick visit today to get my blood work done. The wait wasn't long maybe like 5 min. The male doctor who helped me with my visit was efficient, very clean, and friendly. He communicated everything before and after. I forgot to ask for his name. I had a much better experience here than when I booked my appointment at San Carlos. The employees at the San Carlos location were rude and impatient. read more

Wow! In and out in just minutes. I had an appointment but my husband was walk in. We both finished quick. The phlebotomist Chan was amazing. He worked like a machine. Did everything so precise and made things smooth and quick. With the heavy patient loads we see everywhere, we need more personnel like him that can handle multitasking while still being so kind. Efficient, accurate and very pleasant. Thank you so much for an easy appointment! read more

I had such a great experience at this quest! I am super afraid of needles and dreaded going, but I was so surprised. The office was so clean and everything looked new. I was a walk-in but was seen relatively shortly after check-in. (Im sure its different depending on the day of course) And the technician was AMAZING! I wish I got his name, he was so calming and patient with me despite me being scared and asking for talking through. It didnt hurt at all (I was still scared of needles tho so he helped me take deep breaths). Probably the best blood drawing experience of my life. Thank you so much!! read more

Caution! The Asian male technician (Chan) at this lab is so unprofessional, impatient and inexperienced! I had an appointment but still waited for more than an hour before getting my bloodwork done! Following the blood draw, I found a coin size bruise on my arm! It never happened to me before at other Quest labs. This is ridiculous! Please avoid this place! read more

I arrived just before lunch break, they got me in right away. Quick and easy- best Quest experience I have had.

Horrible experience and people are rude. They never check their fax so only go there if you have the physical paperwork for test orders.

Staff are very understanding, and super helpful in answering questions, Tests were done quickly and easily. Great quality of care for staff.

I love when Maria draws my blood but, this visit I had Chan. Chan is the man, very professional, efficient and very nice. I didn't feel a thing with the needle. Maria and Chan read more

Terrible service. Had an appointment at 9:50 and waited in the office for 2 HOURS!!!! So slow and won't even take you if it's passed their lunch break at 12:00pm. Should not have to wait this long even with or without an appointment. read more

I am sorry for the people who had a horrible experience here. But for me it was a good experience. I drove from the city to Millbrae to get my blood test. Face it, nobody likes getting their blood drawn. Tip: when getting blood drawn (I had to fast for mine) remember to drink lots of water to get the blood going so it's easy for the phlebotomist to draw blood. I looked around at Quest locations for walk ins. I chose Millbrae because it seemed to have a decent waiting time (5 minutes when I checked) and there was free parking. Quest apparently is cheaper than UCSF when getting a lab panel (I pay them enough money for other medical things) so moving forward I will be using Quest. I found rockstar parking in front and there was only 1 person waiting. Inside is nice and clean with a well lit waiting room. I checked in on the ipad and waited less than 1 minute to get my blood drawn. Annie helped me and she was very nice and patient. I asked if they had a butterfly needle. She said they didn't but had something of a similar gauge but slightly bigger. A slight prick and it was over. I was starving so it was good that it was close to the restaurants on Broadway so I could finally eat. read more

Was told I wouldn't need an appointment. Arrived at 9am for a fasting lab. Waiting 2 hours and nothing. Just "didn't" have time for me. No communication at all. I had to flag someone down and ask if I'd ever be seen. They said they'd try even after knowing I'd been waiting 2 hours. Zero care for customer service. read more

Do not come to this location if you want efficient service and quick results. I had to come in twice this week for blood draws. Both times my doctors office submitted the lab request ahead of time and BOTH TIMES when I arrived they couldn't find it in their system. They seem to only have the two phlebotomists working her and no admin support so basically there is no staff to help you if you have issues. I definitely would suggest going elsewhere for lab work read more

Gots to have an appointment. Other than that, the technicians are professional, friendly and quick with the blood draw. No time to say ouch.

Quest has Poor customer service iver the phone. I spoke with a Quest Diagnostic representative from billing because I wanted to verify whether they received my lab orders that were paid in full from my weight loss clinic MD. The person helping me could not answer the question. I told her that the automatic phone system is not detailed enough because none of the selected numbers helps to answer any of my questions. She said, " Oh you need to speak to the lab" and then connected me back to the main line and I found myself back at square one. Therefore I never got my questions answered. I need them answered or I will show up to my appointment and tge lab person will ask me why I am there and this is why read more

Don't bother coming here unless you have an appointment. I waited an hour as a walk in and they stop doing drug tests at 3:30pm. They waited till 3:31pm to tell me that I can't perform a drug test because of "federal law" Rude employees and 4 other customers left disappointed. Don't recommend read more

I just wanted to write this review to thank and applaud Chen. He made my visit at Quest a quick and easy one. I noticed how quickly he typed to get my labs in, communicating when he left, and found an amazing vein (that no one used for me before when drawing blood). He was very clean and did not contaminate anything. I work in healthcare and I see how people interact and he wore his gloves in front of me, threw the tourniquet right after using and was really clean in everything he did. In the past, he also effectively communicated wait times when I did not have an appointment and was very kind about it. Truly impressed and wanted to write a review to thank him due to his efficiency, precision, great communication, and overall great customer service. read more

Unbelievable, I has an appointment but still waited almost an hour to get served. This place is seriously under-staffed.

They were rude and disorganized. Not very helpful and the doctor was rude to someone with a disability in front of everyone

I helped my mom to drop off the urine test and the ASU's guy to rough and not very nice . I ask something It not very nice . Also I heard he treat the kids not very kindness and angry read more

I came in for my appointment today at 3:50pm I made thru online I had the test I wanted in mind and was planning to pay out of pocket instead of insurance, once it's time to get my blood drawn a female employee with short hair asked me to purchase the exam thru online first before. I was informed that was needed and asked her for help to purchase the test I need for my health the woman doesn't even know how to work their own website , she even asked me if it was the right website when it clearly says quest diagnostics on the website on my phone and their logo in the corner , I proceeded to show her and asked where is the test purchase option she looked at me and said I don't know it's better off to order it on a computer like I'm suppose to just pull a computer out of thin air and purchase it. It was currently 4:13 they had to close in 15 minutes I'm sure she was just lazy and didn't want to help me at all and made it clear she doesn't care for my health situation which is disappointing, I expected more professionalism and customer service. read more

Was a walk-in and was seen with-in 10 minutes. Luck others must not have shown-up. Very clean location. Courtney was very nice.

This place suck ass! I tried to make an appointment but I guess I am not smart enough to get trough there app or online. When I get to where it asked for my birthday you have to swipe back 852 times to get to my birthday and then it wouldn't take it. This is for my twice a year check up which is tomorrow. Its a good thing this isn't an emergency, I would be dead. read more

Annie was great in accommodating me after I told her at my last test I almost passed out. She had me lie down, got a smaller needle, and reminded me to take deep breathes. Nice and quick process, arm only tingled a bit. read more

I could give them negative stars if I could. I Made an online appointment for a specific test at 1130 am for my wife who is fasting and 28 weeks pregnant. We walk in and wait and the last days at 11 55 am that we cannot do the test as it is a 2 hour test and they close in 5 mins for lunch. No consideration for a fasting pregnant woman. She said no other location around us is closed for lunch so walk in to them. If they don't close why do you? So misleading. The attitude of the staff is also so uncomforting for the medical profession. I am also a medical provider and so compassionate to accommodate patients. read more

Walked in this Friday afternoon at 2pm and within 5 minutes had my test done. Lovely Asian lady was very helpful.

Hmm. I was hesitant choosing Quest based on negative reviews, but I figured I'll give it a try and I'll see what in the negative moody hypersensitive is really going on here! I'm all about quality and service, however, you also have to be a quality person to get the same respect. Some people are rude and expect to be treated like kings and queens. I had absolutely the opposite experience this morning. I had an appointment, I was called in the minute it was my time, the place is clean and everyone was pleasant. I don't know, maybe because I greet people with respect, say, "Thank you" and ask them how their day is going and treat them the way I'd like to be treated? Overall, Maria and her colleague were wonderful in my opinion! read more

No live phone support. I had a simple question - has my doctor called in lab tests? (if so, I was going to make an online appointment). Again, after trying every phone tree option there was no option to speak to a person. So I drove to the Quest location to ask my simple question. I was pointedly ignored by the techs. Finally I interrupted as one was taking someone to the back. She was perturbed and confirmed there is no one who answers the phone. She told me to make an appointment and then they would answer my question when they took me for the blood draw (which may or may not be on the books). I explained that makes no sense and I only want to know if they have the order. She finally agreed while noting that they are required to see a patient every ten minutes all day - seems like a bad situation for both patients and employees. read more

After having a terrible experience yesterday at the Milpitas Quest location, I was hesitant about coming to this location but I had to get my drug screen done before I leave on vacation this weekend.... My experience at this location compared to Milpitas was like night and day! I came in again right at opening hours for my drug screen and was seen almost immediately after checking in on the kiosk. Annie, the tech that helped me, was super friendly and made the drug screening process quick and seamless! Very appreciative of the service I received today. Highly recommend the Millbrae location and NOT the Milpitas location! read more

The worst place you can bring a child. Referred to us by our doctor because it was close to home. The women that took my 1 year old blood was unprofessional and down right rude. She didn't crack a smile or even try to make it any easier on a child. She carved her nails into his skin and started stabbing his arm over and over. 3 attempts, 6 minutes of horror for my kid and she stops and says she "may not have gotten enough, you might need to come back". I understand it's not easy taking blood from a baby but she didn't even give it an effort. Just kept stabbing away to them tell us we need to start again. I wasn't going to complain or yelp until I saw how blue and swollen my sons hand is and how many different times she pricked him. Awful service and I would never recommend them to anyo read more

Quest Diagnostics - 1 year olds arm after getting blood drawn. Just horrifying - Laboratory Testing Near Me - Millbrae, California

I had no issues here. I came here today without an appointment, instead of my scheduled appointment tomorrow at a different location, since I happened to be in the area. I had three orders and to my surprise, the waiting room was practically empty. I only waited about five minutes or so before Maria processed me, had me provide a sample, then shortly after drew my blood - all nine tubes. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes on a late Thursday morning and had enough time to get Chipotle across the street afterward. The waiting room and the collection rooms were clean. The bathroom was clean. Maria was kind and the prick was hardly noticeable. This place deserves a higher rating. Don't mind the haters who give negative reviews because they're too slow to figure out how to use Google Maps. When you make a left from Trousdale, don't go onto El Camino. Make a left in the right left turn lane so you go down the side street. It's easy. I can't comment on the butterfly needle. read more
