Checking into the location via kiosk should've been easy, even with one of the kiosks being down. However, it became more difficult when staff allowed a man without an appointment to jump the 10 person line because he didn't want to wait. This resulted in an unreasonable delay of an additional 45 minutes. If you have a standard procedure that includes a list of names and priority on a screen, stick to it!

Waiting an hour for walk in - The image features a digital screen mounted on a wall, displaying patient check-in information for a healthcare appointment. The screen shows the text 'Checked in' and the patient's name, partially visible as 'HEA D,' along with the appointment time of 10:40 am. The display is part of a medical or diagnostic facility, likely a waiting or reception area.

The most non communicative office ever. Brother made an appointment but it didn't come through so we are walk in. An hour wait while folks move at snails pace here. Personally, I go to Lab Corp at a hospital and it's never a long wait and no appointment needed. They could learn a lesson from LabCorp who will text you so you can wait outside or in your car since there are on 5 chairs in here. Even though we are here, they will take an appointment before us when there is only one person waiting. My mom has to fast also. So we did the walk in, have waited and finally told that we also needed to check in. Argh!!!!! Absolutely the stupidest system. And how does this work for folks who are not English literate? I don't get it and you shouldn't either. Go to another office if at all possible. There is a gal sitting here with a clipboard who appears to be helping people but she doesn't greet them. What a sad energy here. No one works with a sense of urgency or care here. I believe in karma.

A large flat-screen digital display mounted on a wall shows weather information, current temperature of 56°F, and appointment check-in details for multiple individuals. A smaller tablet device on a stand is positioned to the left of the screen, connected by a cable. The setting appears to be a waiting area or reception in a healthcare or medical office, with a neutral wall and floor visible.

I am pretty familiar with the process with Quest, since I've had (unfortunately) a lot of blood drawn for labs.

Dr. Ruhle and Dr. Miller are not only outstanding surgeons, but they also genuinely care for their patients in a way that goes far beyond medicine. I consider them not just my doctors, but part of my extended family. After my major surgery on 04/25/25, them made me feel safe, heard, and cared for like family. They were both incredibly proactive throughout my recovery following an almost 8-hour procedure, and that meant everything to me. It truly made my day when Nick Wiseman checked in the very next day after surgery to see how I was doing. The three of them will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for your compassion, dedication, and the exceptional care you provide. One day I hope to make it to Emeryville to see you all again ~~~ and finally get a photo of us together. Forever grateful and thankful.

Would not sign a form so I could possibly move from the location in the senior building I rent. This would have a big impact on my health. I realize doctors are very busy and given limited time to see patients but that doesn't mean they can't show compassion. I am a senior citizen and I've been in pain after falling 11 months ago. I've been through many tests but have yet found out what can be done. Dr. Tim showed no interest or concern. She just wanted to get me out of there as quickly as possible. Now I have to start all over to find a new PCP. I waited over 2 years to see her. What a waste and disappointment.

They are leagues ahead of Richmond, which is why I may change my medical care to this facility. Ironically, I came here 30 years ago for surgery and had a good experience. but the surgery was a drive through and I arrived in the morning and went home in the afternoon. This time I stayed for four days, in a private room, and was so taken care of. The nurses were amazing and my doctor, the one who operated, and the doctor overseeing the operation, were wonderful. They really know how to talk to you and see you and actually answer your questions, unlike Pinole where my doctor dismissed everything I said and told me that I was in menopause because she knows my body more than me. She also refused to do the surgery earlier because she said it was cosmetic without symptoms. I had symptoms, but she didn't listen. But Oakland was so different. Even the food was good, I had choices. The Indian food was good. Some of the other options were bad because anesthesia affects how we taste food (for some people). I'm also grateful for my scare of it may be cancer, because it meant that the monster at Pinole was not operating on me and I was in a lot of pain, but I would have moved mountains to get another surgeon. So I didn't have cancer - thank goodness! But the nurses on the floor were caring. They didn't always answer the button when I pushed it, but they were doing their best, and being on an oncology floor, I know that there were a lot of things going on. I have more pictures and will post. The only wrinkle was that transport was slow to respond to my request to leave, but I learned that there were only two people on deck that day, so it took a while. Even he was really nice. I love this medical center.

Upon checking the address of this Kaiser, it is the one where MacArthur Broadway Shopping Center used to be over 50 years ago. (3600 Broadway) I have visited this Kaiser to get my prescription refills because the Alameda Kaiser pharmacy is temporarily closed. The cafeteria is a decent one to have breakfast and lunch. They have a nice atrium with plenty of plants. Last year in April, I was hospitalized at this facility. I had a mild heart attack and remained there for about four days. The nurses during the day shift were wonderful and took care of me. However, the nurses on night shift wete not as attentive. I had to use the bathroom in the early morning (3 AM) and I pressed the button numerous times for help. Nobody checked to see what was the problem. I couldn't do a pee pee dance while lying in bed. No assistance? Desperate time calls for desperate measure. Okay, I placed my feet on the floor and that triggered the alert button in the reception area. Immediate assistance! They did not want me to get out of bed without being escorted to the bathroom. What was I supposed to do when I could not get any form of assistance? Thank goodness I did not relieve myself on the floor. Drawback: The line for the pharmacy is hella long with people waiting in the hallway to pick up their prescription from the pharmacy technicians. There aren't too many chairs for people to sit and wait. That is bad for people who have problems with prolonged standing. Such is the case for me when I have sciatica issue and the feeling and my being is a pain in my butt. Parking in the garage can be problematic, too, especially when the garage is full. Ugh!
