I passed by LabCorp after storming away from QuestLab (awful experience). Walked into LC and asked if I could be seen w/o appt. Tech at the desk nicely replied "yes". She kindly advised me to call my Dr. And have the Lab form re-routed from Quest and fax to LC. They proceeded to register me and I was in and out. Both Techs were very friendly and helpful. I had a confirmed appointment today at 2:45pm. When I arrived for my appointment, the office was closed, with a handwritten note posted on the door advising that they were closed. Despite the fact that LabCorp had my contact information, no effort was made to contact me. Unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. read more

Yes, there was no parking so I parked in the lot which cost me $4, and yes there were fewer chairs than desired due to Covid, and Yes, being a stuck up white person from Alameda this wasn't my neighborhood, and - *** THESE WERE SOME OF THE BEST PROFESSIONALS I HAVE EVER MET!!! *** -= They were fast, efficient, friendly, and it didn't hurt at all. After reading all the negative reviews and being a naturally anxious person in medical settings, I felt a little uneasy before walking in. I came in the afternoon with no appointment and experienced no wait time, the woman at the front desk went above and beyond to help me get my paperwork sorted out after a miscommunication w/ my doctor's office, and the person who conducted my bloodwork was able to find my veins in one go (I have had prior problems with nurses identifying my veins), but this individual was super professional. I even got the cutest puppy sticker after my lab-work and I am a grown adult lol. I had an overall good experience here. read more

I was having a busy day but decided to squeeze in a visit to this lab to get a blood test. I specifically looked at their website to make sure they didn't close for lunch and it showed they were open until 5:00, no mention of a lunch break. I arrived and viola the correct hours were posted outside the door and it was lunchtime. So I was stuck waiting a half hour in the hall. The correct lab hours are posted outside the door (they close at 4:30, not 5. Website was wrong there, too.) but come on LabCorp, you need to update your website. Later ... the woman who works in the lab was very nice and professional. She has nothing to do with the website. The rooms, however, were kinda dirty and scuffed looking. read more

I can't speak to their service because they never opened. I arrived a little after 8 a.m., when their website and the sign on their door said they opened, but the door was locked. I waited a few minutes. I jiggled the door handle. Still locked. I waited a few more minutes then knocked. Nothing. After 20 minutes I left. Won't go there again. read more

I went to the LabCorp on Lake Chabot road, San Leandro. The male technician there (I was told his name is Torin) was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE! He yelled at me for putting my sample in the cupboard that says to put it there. THEN he said "SHE TOLD YOU TO GIVE IT BACK TO HER!!" Right in the middle of the hallway he then says VERY LOUD "YOU'RE GETTING A DRUG TEST!" EVERYONE in the lobby heard him. His behavior is reprehensible and I will NOT be going to LabCorp anywhere if he is there. Please FIRE this guy immediately! read more

UNSAFE! Receptionist does not wear mask over nose. Technician doesn't wash hands between patients. Arm rest not cleaned between patients. No room for social distancing and no attempt made to separate people waiting from those exiting after their tests. This site should remove chairs and have waiting patients on one wall and an aisle to exit on the opposite wall. As usual, this site is so understaffed that the employees are frazzled and obviously unhappy. read more

Horrible! The person who was the clerk and the person drawing blood was the same. I told her my doctor orderd "stat" because my surgery is tomorrow and faxed in the request. She says nothing was there (she hadn't even looked). I called my doctor, she spoke to nurse and guess where the order was...in the fax machine! Smh...i left there with a gold size bump where she drew the blood, now that spot has a huge bruise...dont bother going there! read more

I called to ask if the results of my blood work can be given to my doctor with whom I have an appointment the following day. The woman who answered the phone curtly said "No"...I was having a bad connection on my cell phone, and wasn't sure of her answer. There was a silence...I kept saying hello...The woman replied " I said no!"... Bad phone manners of this woman. This is one of the worst Labcorps I've visited. The waiting area barely has enough room for the 4 chairs and water cooler and you almost have to move your knees over to one side when anyone tries to approach the desk. Also, they appear to be severely understaffed because I stood at the check-in desk for over 5 minutes without being addressed. I arrived 20 minutes late for an appointment I had set for a glucose test after fasting close to 14 hours and the person working there asked me to reschedule or go to another Labcorp because it would overlap with their lunch break. I completely 100% understand the need for a lunch break, but would imagine a Labcorp that was located in a medical building and generated that much traffic would hire more team members so they wouldn't need to CLOSE the entire place for an hour every day. read more

I went in today for a fasting blood glucose test here. Does anyone out there want to wait over 50 minutes for this test? First they couldn't find my paperwork and told me I had to reregister. OK I thought. I'll humor them and fill out the additional paperwork. There were 3 people in the waiting room ahead of me. I asked the woman at the front desk how long the wait would be. She told me '10 minutes per person'. I said, 'fine' and left to re park my car. When I came back in (not even 2 minutes later) another woman had jumped ahead of me in line. So now my wait was 4 persons long. OK I said. I'll humor them. Finally after waiting an additional 15 minutes after the entire waiting room was cleared out I asked for my paperwork back. They said the 4th woman didn't need to have a blood test and was just processing paperwork. Great I said. That was really the corker. I said, 'I'm starving'. Evidently this didn't make an impression on the 2 paper pushers at the front desk who were too stupid to know about a fasting blood glucose test. If you want fast efficient intelligent service steer clear of this place. read more

I just went here to have routine blood work and was shocked at how few precautions were in place against COVID. They were running about half an hour behind, so numerous people were crowded into a narrow hallway right by the elevator waiting to be seen. I don't blame the the lab technician as she was the only person working there and had to everything. It was not safe for her or the people who had appointments. If I did not have COVID, I might have it now by virtue of having to wait for my appointment in such unsafe conditions. read more

I have visited this labcorp at least 2 dozen times and NEVER had anything but a very good experience. Short wait times (I use online appointment); friendly front desk staff who work very hard; and, great technicians who ALWAYS manage to find my hard-to-find veins with no trouble. My only concern has nothing to do with the people at this lab site, or their performance. In fact, given that labcorp appears to purposely understaff ALL of their offices, the fact that I get such great service at this lab site is a testimonial to all the great people who work there. I don't know about all these poor reviews; maybe it's because so many people who come to the lab are sick and in a bad mood? It's sad that only the whiners use Yelp! read more

6/4/2018 I had my annual blood work done today. I parked in the garage at 10:50 a.m. and was back in my car at 11:20. There was no one waiting. I noticed there were 4 chairs in the waiting area and an additional bench outside in the hallway. The desk clerk was friendly, efficient and checked my paperwork and health information thoroughly. There was a technician ready to take care of the procedure and I made note that she took care of sanitary issues, made sure ID was checked and now checking at home where the blood was drawn on my arm, I have no bruise ...just a little pin prick visible. Using this LabCorp office does have parking which is convenient because of the impacted street parking but it is not inexpensive. read more

I have gone to LabCorp on Webster Street in Oakland for several visits over MANY years. I have NEVER had a bad experience with the service of the one-person; Phlebotomy Technician, front desk receptionist, office manager, patient scheduler, clerk to find and process doctor's orders via fax or phone call, bookkeeper to check insurance coverage and process payment...she has to do everything, for every patient! I agree that the facility is seriously in disrepair therefore, I wrote a letter and sent supporting pictures of the condition of the lab to the local headquarters. I received a response that they will be working on improving the lab, waiting room...I look forward to seeing the improvements during my next visit. I have never been bruised. Bruising can be caused by medications such as blood thinners and nothing to do with the Phlebotomy Technician; no matter how careful, bruising can happen with some patients. I tried other company's and locations before I found the Phlebotomy Technician at this LabCorp location of which I will continue to use -- if they update and clean the facility. read more

Don't bring your kids there otherwise you'll be regret! Waiting time is long even you had an appointment, the nurse had a hard time to find the vessel, and she did slowly. I cried for my kid because it's so painful, my kid cried to cough, the whole process is scary. read more

I had an appointment at 10 o'clock I showed up at 10:01 and she had taken somebody else before me .I informed her that I had another appointment at 10:30 that I needed to go to. She told me I had to wait and she made me wait extra long.she spent time explaining to me that she took the patient before me because I was not there at exactly 10 o'clock. I explained the urgency of the matter and my health condition and she still made me wait. She was rude, slow, and Daft. I'm very curious on the point of scheduling an appointment. If I could give no stars I would. I saw my doctor in the same building and she sent over my lab slip to this particular labcorp since it's nearby. I went in with a paper slip which they needed since the front desk lady apparently doesn't know how to look up electronic slips. I asked the worker if it was a long wait and she started to curse at me and said I was the only one waiting. I've never been cursed at by a worker before. So far I've been sitting here for 40 mins waiting...I can hear them talking aka gossiping. Now there are other people waiting...wait now they said they don't understand the slip...such a joke. 50 mins waiting and nothing was done. I'll go to a different location, preferably to one where the worker doesn't swear at me. read more

This place is so disorganized. I had an appointment at 11am. Got here at 10:45am. This person has only got through one person. The people I am sitting here with say they been waiting for a long time. I will not be returning to the LabCorp facility at 3300 Webster again. The waiting room is tiny, seating 4 people very closely together and is not able to accomodate the people needing lab draws and the people there for pre-employment urine testing for Kaiser Oakland. There is usually just one person drawing blood there. The last time I showed up with a scheduled appointment the receptionist [who I remember as being nice in the past but not the last several times] just announced the tech needed a break and they weren't taking any new names for at least 30 minutes. There were at least 6 people waiting outside the waiting room for service and 3 inside. I went to another LabCorp location in Albany where the facility and the staff were terrific. 3300 Webster has been my go-to place for lab work but I will drive further or go to the Quest in the same building to have a better experience. read more

The people that work at this Labcorp are incompetent and unprofessional with the customer. They project a feeling of indifferences. This might explain why my lab test was place miss placed or lost. This could have been a life threatening matter. They need to take more interest and care for the customer. read more
