As a full-time employee and full-time student, I don't always have the time, money or the resources necessary to be an advocate for myself. So when I heard that I may be able to avoid the $3k I had been given as an estimate for the disability testing by going to NAHC, I was delighted. I had heard a few things from folks about the staff at NAHC not being as receptive or inviting to those that aren't Native but chose to disregard such criticism entirely. When I went to my first appointment, I was very impressed with the magnitude of resources, services and information that this facility offers. The staff treated me warmly and with the respect we all hope to receive while at a health institution. The doctor that performed the learning disability evaluation (Dr. Springer, HIGHLY recommend him!) even mentioned that they offer resources to help me obtain citizenship with my tribe (Cherokee Nation) even though I didn't ask him. The bottom line is this is a facility that truly cares about and honors our diverse community and I am proud to have a social service like this in my city!

Over the years, Dr. Wells never made us feel like just another appointment. He always took the time to truly listen, to explain, to reassure, and to care in a way that felt personal and genuine. As a parent, that kind of consistency and compassion is something you never forget. It feels like we are closing a long and meaningful chapter. My son is grown now, which is a milestone filled with pride and emotion on its own, but it's made even more poignant knowing we are also saying goodbye to a doctor who has been part of our lives for nearly two decades. Due to insurance changes and my son aging out of pediatric care, we are moving on, but we do so with immense gratitude. Late review, this is for January's procedure…read more Upon arrival, I had came in the office early for my procedure. I was super nervous as this is my first colonoscopy appointment. I probably used the restroom 5 times and each time I was worried that I was called, in case they didn't see me in the waiting room. I waited about an hour after my initial appointment due to the fact that the patient before me had some medical issues that needed more attention and time. I was fine with waiting anyway since I didn't plan my day but to rest and hopefully the patient before me was okay. I had a great experience! Coming into the facility, I was scared and nervous for my first colonoscopy procedure but the nurses, anesthetists and Dr. Chard made the experience wonderful! After the procedure when I had gotten well rested, Dr. Chard came by and talk to me about the procedure and what else is next. It was a welcoming environment and I highly recommend this place!

Had my second colonoscopy there. Check-in was fine. Prep was fine. The place has a little bit of…read morean assembly line feeling to it as there are lots of beds around in one big open room but fine. Procedure itself went fine. I told the doctor (Dr. Chard) right before I went under that at my first procedure (5 years earlier at another place) the doctor had given me the results within a few moments of me 'coming to' from the drugs and I didn't remember what they said. He said he wouldn't do that...then proceeded to do exactly that. I remember what he said this time but kind of minor annoyance. Here is the big reason for the 2 star review: something happened during my routine colonoscopy where they actually gave me an infection that turned into diverticulitis! I will explain. Many people have Diverticulosis (small pockets in the colon). Dr. Chard explained I had this when I came to. That's fine. It doesn't really mean anything. However 24 hours after my procedure ended I ended up getting massive abdominal cramps. Over the next 4 days they got worse and worse. I spoke with Dr. Chard and he said he didn't know what it was and recommended I go to the ER. 5 hours later after blood work and a CAT scan the ER doc said I had diverticulitis (which is an infection and inflammation). They called Dr. Chard to explain. He then called and left me a VM saying "This is very rare. It almost never happens. It's unlikely related to the colonoscopy. You'll be fine with antibiotics after a few days." Um, this was 1000% related to the colonoscopy (which is what the ER doc said). What, it's a simple coincidence that this happened within 24 hours of the procedure? That seems like a flat out lie to cover his butt (pardon the pun). In the end (another pun) the antibiotics did work and the infection cleared up. But it was a very terrible 6 days of pain and what will end up being a big ER bill. I won't be returning.

I am happy to see that Dr. Konstantin is refusing to give random people narcotics. I worked in a 1000 Rx a day pharmacy and these people are doctor shoppers whose regular doctors won't give them narcotics so they seek out other doctors and then get disappointed and aggravated when they don't get their drugs. This makes me want to give Dr. K more stars! You don't go to a doctor to get drugs. You go to a doctor to get treated to feel better. It doesn't always require drugs, and you should be glad if you don't need them.

His credibility and expertise in these matters convinced the CG that I am fit for shipboard duties. We were switched over to Dr. Burge, which we have been with for at least 5 years now. We adore her! She listens and really cares about the kids. I hope she stays for a long time cause my kids and I enjoy seeing her. The staff there are always nice. The MA (medical assistants) seems to change often though.. Parking (in the back) can be hard, it's shared with the post office and another office. Sometimes you can find parking in the front (park street) and around the corner, but you have to pay. Overall, my kids love coming here, there is a place in the waiting room that they can color and then after the visit, you used to get a lollipop and sticker, but now you can get a token to choose your prize like a bouncy ball, sticky hands etc, or you can opt for just a huge square sticker. The bandages they give after they give a shot or anything is also always cute, like transformers, dogs, cats, etc. Someone is always greeting you at the front and super friendly. The wait is not long after you check in. (It used to take awhile but recently it has been quick) I left for a year due to insurance change but was eager to come back after I got back my old insurance.
