I've called three times and each time the pharmacist is just letting it ring. 1 hr + waiting to speak with him

This review is for the pharmacist specifically, he is absolutely rude and a horrible person. Plays mind games and treats you like your below him. I've been calling for my prescription and he purposely ignores my calls, leaves me on hold or just lets the phone ring and ring. If a manager can please reach out to me directly I would like to make a formal complaint against your pharmacist.

Can I give 0 stars? Our regular pharmacy was out of stock on a med we needed so I downloaded the cvs app to transfer it. After and hour I received notice that they had trouble with the transfer. I entered it again a second time. Again, I received a notice that they had trouble with the transfer. So I called the number at the bottom of the notice and spoke with someone who said they never received the request. I told them I had it entered into the app...twice and was told nope never received. Wtf? This isn't the first time this location has let me down but this will definitely be the last.

These guys wouldn't fill an insulin scrip at 6:40 even though their hours are until 7pm. because they closed their computers down early. Wouldn't boot up a computer. For insulin. And the pharmacist didn't bat an eye. Seriously, these guys are the worst pharmacy ever.

$300+ Medication Marked Down To $35 ... AMEN TO CVS!!! As a child who grew up in the 1980s, this location has always been my go-to pharmacy, as it once was a Long's Drugs before it became CVS... As I still come her for all my prescriptions, I write this review because in being a recent heart attack survivor, I am now having to take a plethora of heart medications, blood thinners, etc. Thus, my Cardiologist recently prescribed a new medication for me: Bystolic. Even with insurance covering it, the co-pay was going to be OVER $300 -- that alone almost caused me another heart attack; however, Steve, a pharmacy tech., was so professional, and thinking straight, as he offered to go online, right there, and try to get me a coupon for this medication, from the Bystolic website. I had NO CLUE one could go on the direct websites, for some of these medications, and find coupons, but sure enough, Steve knew to! EUREKA!!! Steve found me a coupon, registered it to my CVS account (so it's in their system, under my name, and will always be used for my Bystolic prescription orders), and got it so I ONLY PAID $35 for this medication INSTEAD OF the initial $300+ amount. JESUS! I felt I'd been saved! So this review goes out to Steve, but also Tom, and all the others who are so kind, and willing to help me, whenever I am there picking up my prescriptions. I've been coming here for now almost 35 years and this pharmacy is run by ethical people (Pharmacy Techs., and Pharmacists) who I trust my well-being is in safe hands. Without a doubt: THANK YOU, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY FRAGILE HEART.

WHAT?! You can do that?! Amazing! The owner was very helpful in tracking that everything that needed new scripts was coming in, and voila, single pickup date per month. Pharmacists in big chains are being overworked, brutally, with metrics like scripts filled per hour the priority. This means any snag in YOUR issue is hard for them to prioritize. Contrast that with Oak Grove, where customer service comes first. Mom and pop pharmacists are a dying art, and worth their weight in gold. Next store will be a new French bakery (swoon), Peet's is down the way, TJ's is there, as well as Boichek bagels. So a great location too!

I absolutely dread coming to this place and today was the last time…read more Always a long line - it's confusing to "order" when there is NO "order" line, it's "consultation." I don't need a consultation, I just want my second batch of pills on my prescription. There is no one at any other window, just one super long line and you stand there for 20 minutes, when you finally get to the front, the lady first looks at my (hard copy) prescription and acts like she doesn't know what to do. Then tells me I need to go stand in the other "line" after I wasted 20 minutes. Every time I go here, they don't have my prescription and I ask my doctor, he shows me where he sent it (this has happened with two different doctors so it's not the doctor, it's this poorly run place). It's one of the worst run pharmacies I've ever been to in my life - and the people that work behind the counter absolutely could not care less. I hate to sound like one of those "in my day" people who whine about everything but it's true in this case - pharmacies used to have people who cared about the people coming in. This one just has people who want to get through the work day. They couldn't give an actual flying yahoo about any customer, they have the same attitude as a McDonald's worker. They act like they're being put out and the people in the (long) line are morons for using this pharmacy (perhaps that's true now in retrospect). They never have enough people working there and every time I come in, they come across as so ridiculously incompetent, you wonder if these people actually have the education to be working in pharmacy. Management at CVS will read this and laugh and go about their day. They don't care. Look at all the other reviews here. It's not just me, it's everyone. This is the last time I EVER step foot in a CVS. There is no reason for me to ever come to this or any other one ever again.

Unfortunately, my experience with Bernardo was the worst customer service I've had in a long time--especially troubling in a pharmacy, where customers are often sick, anxious, and vulnerable. I fully understand policies and wait times, and I always try to be respectful, having worked in the service industry myself. What I did not expect was the dismissive and rude way I was treated. While I was waiting, instead of simply asking if I was okay with another customer going ahead of me, Bernardo abruptly said, "Not you--I'm going to help the woman behind you," even though she arrived halfway through my wait. I've stood in long lines before and accepted delays without issue, but the lack of basic courtesy and communication was upsetting and unnecessary. Customer service in a healthcare setting should come with a baseline of empathy and professionalism. That was completely missing here. Bernardo could benefit from additional training in how to interact respectfully with patients. Based on this interaction, I would not feel comfortable being assisted by him again. Bernardo? More like BerNADA--because that's exactly how valued I felt.

She mentioned she was from Romania, and she was fabulous--professional, thorough in her consultation, and genuinely caring. She's the reason I'm giving five stars despite what I'm about to describe. The waiting area itself, however, became a case study in Cali public confusion. A gentleman was leaning against the wall mid-line, and his placement gave the impression that he was the start of the line. One young woman even ended up standing in the middle of the area, unsure where to go. Everyone who came in after repeated the same moment of hesitation--unsure if the man against the wall was "in line" or not. The pharmacist politely asked him to sit down to reduce the confusion, but he refused. And still, he didn't seem to realize he was the cause of the disorder. This was not really a Kaiser operational problem--it was a citizen problem. Kaiser staff can't physically force someone to sit. The staff handled it professionally, but the dysfunction lingered. What's worth noting is how this small situation illustrated something larger about our California culture: * Absence of spatial awareness: The man didn't seem to grasp how his placement distorted the entire flow. * Resistance to correction: Even when told directly by a staff member, he refused to adapt. * The confused majority: Others sensed the disorder but froze, unwilling to assert clarity. * Public order as optional: A line is supposed to provide structure; here it became negotiable. That's my soapbox moment. It may seem like "just a line," but multiplied across systems--healthcare, transportation, government--you get dysfunction everywhere. This kind of breakdown in basic public order is exactly why, in my view, federal elections have gone the way they have. People crave someone to restore what seems to be collapsing in daily life-order. So yes, the issue is worth noting, but it wasn't Kaiser's fault. The real takeaway is cultural. Thankfully, the pharmacist I worked with turned a highly disappointing moment into a positive one--and she deserves every bit of praise.
