Had such a great experience at BevMo!! The store was super clean, well organized, and had a really nice layout and everything felt easy to find, from whiskey and Scotch to snacks, ice cream, and even Valentine's Day gifts. And can we talk about that little assistance button in the whiskey/Scotch aisle? When you ding for help, it literally announces over the intercom that someone needs assistance...so yes, everyone knows you're the one shopping the good stuff. Haha. Honestly kind of iconic. They also have those cool checkout freezer bags with all the ingredients to be your own bartender at home...such a fun idea. But the BEST part, the customer service. The help in the aisle and Johann at the register was amazing. Super cool, great smile, and so engaging; especially for a Saturday night shift! He genuinely seemed like he loves his job and creating a great experience for customers. My partner and I left smiling and laughing like we had just caught up with an old friend. Went out here last Saturday and Steph Curry was doing a meet and greet and promotion for his gentleman cut bourbon. The weight was about 6 1/2 hours. People were coming in and out very fast as well, and people weren't allowed to take photos or he wasn't signing any autographs. He was only signing the bottles which is really neat and cool for the fans. Steph Curry is definitely a dinner generous player and he's a once in a lifetime player so definitely seeing him in person was really cool. read more

Went to this Bevmo today because I'm tired of Total Wine's old beer all over the place on every shelf. Do you think this place is different? Nope. Couldn't find anything newer than 5 months old and I"m talking about IPAs. IPAs have a shelf life. Look at the picture I attached. Today is 4/17/25. Again, 2025. This beer was brewed 4/8/24. Again, 2024. Over a year old. Just sitting there on the shelf waiting for someone to buy some old, flat beer. I looked at all kinds of four and six packs. The earliest I could find was from late November 2024. Again, today is April 17, 2025 No more big box alcohol stores. This old beer stuff at both Bevmo and Total Wine is for the birds And Bevmo is the company that keeps sending junk mail to my house to someone who does not exist and refuses to stop. Folks - Monument Liquors, right up the road, best liquor store ever. That's where you buy beer. Avoid these stores. I went to BevMo to buy all of the beer and mixers for a company Christmas party and you would have thought I was asking for it for free. Nobody to assist in the aisles and high prices. When I was in line, one clerk saw me after they finished checking someone out and because my cart was so big, left there station. The next available clerk looked like I had done something wrong because of my full cart. Many profanities during the process and he was bossing me around to have me pull specific things from my cart. The entire visit felt very wrong and it isn't the first time. I will not be going back. I buy alcohol once a year so it isn't a big problem for me to switch. We bought the hard alcohol at More Wine and it was an awesome experience. BevMo employees should go shop there just to see how much better they treat people. read more

I'm a little disappointed as they raise there prices by at least 60-70 percent when the have the "buy one, get one for a nickel" sale. I was there yesterday and noticed that they substantially raised there for this deal. They want $26.99 per 750ml while Total Wine and Spirits has the same bottle for $16.99. I asked if the match Total Wines prices and they said yes but in this case, they won't do it. They do a pretty good job when it comes to covering any potential loss but it's total bs that ANYONE raises their prices to try to make you think you're getting a good deal read more

We went yesterday for champagne and one of the employees was incredibly nice to us. He was very helpful and guided us in deciding which champagne to get. Everything was amazing and we were very happy with the experience! until the manager approached us. For no reason at all, the manager started being extremely rude and even spoke poorly about the employee, who had been nothing but friendly and helpful. I had a large event (actually two) last weekend and needed to stock up wine, beer, liquor, and mixers. The manager, Carley, was incredibly helpful over the course of several days by phone, email, and in person. She went well above and beyond: working with me to size the order, confirming they had inventory (and sourcing bottles for me where necessary), and ensuring that everything arrived at my events at the time that I needed it. I've come in this location numerous times now to give an adequate review. For the most part, they have quite a great selection and not as huge of a store as others so it's not as intimidating. However, with that said, there is also not enough help here at this location anyway. There are very few employees here who you can ask and be bothered with to help you on your search for something. I've searched for them in between aisles, gone up to the cashier to ask for help, and some are locked up that you actually need for one of them to unlock. There's been times when absolutely no one is around to ask for help at all. So this is a hit or miss. I can see a store like Total Wine even as big as that place is, at least there are friendly, helpful employees there who come up to you and ask 'can I help you find anything'. You won't get that same question here at BevMo. It's no wonder they hardly have people shopping in here (only a few) almost every time I come in. I came in last week and there was a new guy (Hispanic maybe, 5'6, unfortunately I don't have his name) at the register and I purchased 6 wine bottles. He wasn't very friendly, no smile, straight faced - but that's beside the point. He put them in a box for me and I even rolled my cart around so it's right in front of the edge of the counter so he can (hopeful on my end) put the box in my cart because it was a bit heavy. The 6 bottles could've easily gone in 2 bags which would've been easier for me to lift and carry in and out of the cart/to my car and back home as opposed to this huge box! But he didn't even move the box for me to put in the cart which was literally an inch away. I was so shocked and horrified! I moved it myself and lifted the box off the counter and put in my cart and got the heck out of there! Blown away he didn't even put in my cart for me! There are nice people who actually are more helpful there, an older gentleman and a couple of women who are kind who's helped me with moving a box into my cart at checkout without asking. I appreciate their help. It would be nice for this location and helpful to customers for a few employees to be out on the floor and actually helping customers find what they are in need of. At times I've seen them filling out a cart which I assume they're filling an order. Perhaps they can look up and ask if they see employees dancing around them and giving them stares and looks if they need finding anything. Or after they've filled their order to offer their help to customers. Wouldn't that be great customer service? read more

BevMo in store customer service is far less then "MO". Both Walnut Creek locations leave so much to be desired. The staff is far from knowledgeable and if you can find a person they have no idea. The online reported inventory at the stores is usually so far off it's a crap shoot when you get there. Unfriendly and they do you a favor to help. NOW, if you really want to be treated like you are a prized customer head over to TotalWine which is only a few blocks from the BevMo Main Street location. The entire TotalWine staff knows their product. Super helpful and they make you feel special. The stores are like night and day. Never again will I have to be subjected to poor service at BevMo. Needed a restroom everywhere else was out of service. Even though we didn't purchase anything they were very friendly. As someone who's not from around here i just was grateful somewhere let me use the restroom. I don't purchase alcohol so it's not my type of store but I would definitely recommend it here if you love alcohol. There was four workers , three out of four spoke and made the visit worth coming back if we need something from here ! Don't like that they have no napkins so you have to open the door with your jacket / hand kind of defeating the purpose of washing your hands instantly. I shop at BevMo frequently and usually go to a different one where they have excellent customer service off of oak grove and will go there next to see if they can provide one for our swim team auction to use to transport the donated wines safely. We decided the "shelter in place" order was not going to stop us from getting some needed "adult beverages." BevMo to the rescue. We placed our order on-line around 11 AM on Saturday and our pick up was ready at 1 PM. Our order was small -- just some beer, vodka, Bloody Mary Mix, and cheese. Unfortunately, the beer we wanted was not available, but our second choice was fine. When we arrived at the store, half a dozen people were lined up outside. Most were following the recommended six feet for social distancing. Once it was DH's turn, he had to wait a moment while our bag was retrieved. (They were keeping the cheese chilled until we arrived.) He had to go in the store to sign the pick-up papers, and then we were on our way. Its so sad to see the fall of Bevmo but they have nobody to blame but themselves. The 2 employees i saw when I entered the store looked bored to tears. They both looked up but seemed to stare right through me. I figured it would get better when I found another employee on the floor to ask a question. I never saw another worker. Some of the shelves were obviously picked over and I question is it really because they are out of stock or do they just not have anyone to stock them? Have been out running errands for hours, stopped in to buy 6 bottles of wine for a girls lunch. Needed to use the restroom. OH MY GOD. It was THE WORST I have ever seen. No TP, no paper towels. The hand dryer was blackened from dirt. There were flies. The smell was horrific. The walls & floor blackened & dirty. The toilet was covered in vomit & feces stains. I dont think this restroom has been cleaned in months, if ever. I told the cashier (young hispanic male, lots of gold chains), he blank stared at me & asked for my membership number. On Fri night, I went to the BevMo on North Main Street in Walnut Creek to do some personal shopping. As I was strolling down the aisles, one of the supervisors came along with a cop and told me I was banned from the store and had the cop escort me out. She told me another staff member identified me on their camera footage as the Instacart shopper who committed some sort of offense, but was not willing to tell me any more than that. I kept repeating that I was 1000% sure that they confused me with someone else. This was the most humiliating experience I have ever had in my life. I totally broke down and cried all the way home. Helpful customer service but they fail to stock up on popular items and in the last month they are asking me to show an id, I'm a senior citizen, saying "it's the law", which it isn't. What a great store! I like to stop in occasionally to pick up a new wine to try here and there as well as pick up some old favorites. There are lots of varieties that I do not see in other stores so I love coming here to find something new. I have not ventured into any other section yet but one day I will because there are so many choices! The only downside to Bevmo is that the options are more on the pricier side. So while I hate to admit it I would not come here to pick out a bottle to gift to someone. I love my friends and coworkers but maybe not that much haha. This place has horrible customer service ZERo Stars.!!! So I needed some cheese that this place carries that is very delicious and expressive , I called and talked to some one and told them I would be coming in the next hr to pick up this specific amount of cheese and type to the side so it could be in and out when I get there. they said not a problem and that they could have up front my cheese waiting for me . So when I get there .. there isn't any cheese waiting for me and the guy who took the phone call is nowhere to be found . To make matters worse there is a line the cheese department and this is what I was trying not to deal with when I get there.. needed to ne in and out so I could make this dinner party. So after waiting a very long time the guy in the cheese department was able to help me. In the mean while I tracked down a manager to tell them what happened and he was no help to me . Pretty much un useful and not that caring about the situation. the least he could of done was in stead of me waiting over 15mins to be helped was he could of helped me or tried to take care of the situation. Gave me a discount or something for waiting so long . I mean what the point of calling and having thing be put on the side for you if your not going to do that ?!?!?
