Great selection of products at a brick and mortar store. I have had nothing but good experiences there. Many if not all the negative reviews here on Yelp are for their online store. Technically the same company, but those reviews really do not apply to the store in Concord. Their online orders ship from a different location in a different state and are a different business model. read more

I had an awesome experience thanks to Edwin. I came in looking to put together a sparkling water kit and he absolutely nailed it. Edwin was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about getting me set up with exactly what I needed -- not just selling me stuff. He took the time to explain the options, answered all my questions clearly, and made the whole process easy and enjoyable. You can tell he really knows his products and takes pride in great customer service. Because of him, I walked out confident, excited, and 100% satisfied with my setup. If you're thinking about a sparkling water system (or just want help from someone who actually cares), ask for Edwin. Top-tier service. read more

Great Service: I purchased a kegerator in 2018 and it stopped working a month ago. I knew it was out warranty but I called to see if there was anything they could do to help. They were very quick with the responses and offered up some good deals on a new one. I was able to repair the one I had but I will definitely get all my supplies from MoreBeer, More Wine. Sometimes, even in the best of Companies, things go haywire. What matters is how ta deal with it when things go wrong. I've been a customer of these folks since they worked out of the storage space they had in Concord in the late 90's. Never had a bad customer experience until my last order, which was kind of a catastrophe. I can honestly say is that they stood up with square shoulders and admitted the mistake, made it right, and even involved high level management to make sure everything got corrected. In fact, they went way over the top. At almost every level of the organization, I was soured that their leadership was passionate about the customer experience. Getting a bit rare nowadays. I'm sure we've all had the customer callbacks full of excuses and how it was your fault, not theirs. Except for a few singular employees, (those at fault for the error), I never heard anything but figuring out how to solve the issues. Everyone understands leadership commitment to customer. If you are thinking about your next purchase, and customer service is important to you, you can't go wrong from working with these folks. Great Company! I have to emit I was royally pissed off, but I'm now a very loyal customer and won't be looking anywhere else for my supplies in the future. Used to make beer, now working a 10 acre vineyard. Zin, Primitivo, and Nero d'Avola. These guys will be my "go-to" as I grow. read more

I'm new to the hobby of home brewing and wanted to come in to see what I needed to get started, and I was so happy with the service Ashley provided me! Beer Beer and More Beer also offers More Flavor and More Wine in their portfolio. Turn right at Costco off the Monument Corridor and enter an Industrial Park address that is run and patronized by folks who love to make their own stuff and tell you all about it. And if you wander across the lot and back, you'll find Ale Industries and a glass of Rye'd Piper if you happen by on Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 3-7 PM. Once inside, I found about everything needed to make my own stuff (maybe later) and a working "laboratory" in full small batch production swing. That slows service down a bit if they're in the middle of a step. In the meantime, I watched the action, admired some of the glassware, and picked out a few bottles of Heretic (Evil Cousin and Evil Twin) of of the cooler to take home and enjoy. Beer from Pittsburg? For our first Christmas together, I bought my honey meat. Yes, meat. The freezer was full of delicious, juicy red meat from Omaha steaks. For our fourth Christmas together, I wanted to get him the supplies needed to brew his own beer. Which was really a gift for me too, right? I know what my man likes. Red meat and beer. I did all of my holiday shopping online this year and, although we live really close to their store, I found myself on the Beer, Beer and More Beer website to order a brewing kit. After exploring the different options, through their easy to use website, I decided to call my mother and see if my parents wanted to split the cost to buy a nicer kit. She jumped on the bandwagon without hesitation and my parents ended up buying the entire thing because my mom wanted it be from them. They have five starter kits ranging from $69 to $479. Kits #1 and #2 are "partial", meaning that you may need to pick up a few other items to be ready to brew. Kits #3 - #5 are all complete and include everything one would need to brew up their first batch. Placing the order online was super easy and the shipment went out quickly. Everything was included and packaged well. The kits really do include everything you need to start brewing that day. The first round of beer was a basic pale ale and really good. Second batch will start tomorrow. It's the gift that keeps on giving! read more

It's always good to have a backup plan. Or at least some kind of backup option. Although More Beer isn't within my normal circle of travel, that's how I ended up. It was brew day & my homebrew partner informed me we needed 1 more pound of a not too unusual malt + a packet of a pretty unusual yeast. More Beer had both in stock. So I drove a little out of my way to come get it. When I 1st walked in, staff was pretty engaged with what seemed like a couple regulars. It took a little while to get their attention. Once I got some help, however, everything went smoothly & quickly. Staff gave me the rundown on how weighing & milling malts is self-serve. & the yeast was easy to find in their cooler. For the most part, I got what I needed without fuss. It's good to know that there's a resource like More Beer available for any last-minute brewing needs. read more

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Always willing to explain their products and troubleshoot.

We ordered and got a keg of Anchor Steam at Beer, Beer, and More Beer to use for our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Although it took a while to get our gear when we went in to pick up the keg (a good sign, though, the place was totally packed on Friday afternoon, presumably in anticipation for all the parties later that evening...) the store manager was very friendly, walked us through how to use their keg, how the tap went in, etc, etc.... (I, for one, hadn't really had to deal with a keg since college) The beer was spot-on good... cool, refreshing Anchor Steam. I seem to recall it was definitely on the pricier side, but still well worth it. read more

Great service on beer kits, best prices around. Hours online are incorrect, they close at 4pm not 5pm.

Spent more than $5000, and was very disappointed with their service. Items committed to be delivered required multiple reminders and were delayed 2 months. And the delivery was missing items which caused additional delays. I even lost about $400 of my own money when I gave up on these guys and went ahead and procured my own supplies from other vendors. Today I found out that the CO2 canister delivered with my purchase was close to it's expiration date, and to refill it now I need to pay an additional fee with the vendor. I generally avoid leaving negative reviews, but these guys have certainly pushed me to do this. Only reason I give 2 stars is because their selection is excellent. Go there and buy what you need, but don't expect service after the sale. read more

Something that always impresses me about a business is when they talk you *out* of spending money. I needed a new brew kettle, as I was embarking into the heady world of all-grain brewing. So I wanted a 10 gallon pot to accommodate all that tasty, tasty wort. Armed with a gift certificate to B3, I trucked out to Concord, where I'd heard tales of this place. My choices were a 15 gallon pot, and an 8 gallon pot. Giving it thought, and considering that the 15 gallon ones were on sale, I went big. Then I saw the size of it, and immediately questioned myself. I could fit in the damn thing. I chatted to the helpful chap behind the counter, and listened to me weighing the pros and cons. Finally he introduced sense. "Look, the sale on the 15 gallon is a great deal, but if you're going to be sticking to five gallon batches - and I personally do, since I never want to be stuck drinking the same beer for two months at a time - the 8 gallon is more than enough for you, and cheaper too." Sold. They've got a great selection of stuff to boot. Not as well stocked with ingredients as Brewcraft, but they do have a walk in fridge WELL stocked with ready-packaged recipe kits to grab and take home - at outstanding prices. Great selection of keg equipment, as well as lots of stuff for winemaking. Plus a full service website in case you don't want to make the drive all the way to Concord (or any of their other locations) And the brew kettle? An absolute champ!! read more

I love the rush I get when I walk into Beer, Beer and More Beer!! There is so much equipment laid out for you to peruse that you get the feeling that maybe you missed your calling as a brewer. With the help of an employee to pick out whatever brewing kit you need (beer, wine, coffee, soda) you can rush home and get your brew on in a matter of hours. There's everything you need for advanced or beginning brewing. Because I once made a Mr. Beer kit I consider myself an expert but I still really appreciated the help of Corey who let me, Erin S, and Akkis M build our own beer brewing kit. He walked us through the whole setup and brewing process while pointing out the needed equipment. One of the best parts of making your beer is standing in front of the big refrigerators choosing which grains and hops packet you want to make your new favorite beer. It's a crazy adventure. I'll let you know how it turns out. Now I just need to quit my day job so I can pursue my new hobby full-time like my buddies at Ale Industries. read more

What's not to like about a store where the word "beer" appears not once but three glorious times?!? You don't even have to like beer to have a reason to come here. This is also the spot to pick up supplies to make wine or soda, or to roast your own coffee. I'm just getting started with homebrewing, and I found Beer Beer & More Beer to be a perfect place to get supplies and get all my questions answered. After visiting a supply store in San Francisco where one has to shimmy sideways to negotiate the aisles, the open space and ample inventory of BB&MB was a real treat. Can't wait a few weeks to enjoy you homemade beer? BB&MB has several brands at the ready, chilling in the fridge. read more

This place is so unbelievably awesome. For first time brewers like myself, my hubby, & Holly B, it was a great place to gather information & buy our very first home brewing kit. We came in on a recent Saturday all ready to brew, with limited knowledge, & with no supplies at all. Luckily they have starter kits that make it a snap to get started. Cory helped us out & walked us through the whole process, giving us options & prices for everything. We chose our starter kit (less than $200) and then tried to choose our beer type. So many the choose from! Pilsner? Amber? Nut Brown? Stout? They've got it all. This place really gets you excited about beer. Cory made sure we had everything we needed to go home & whip up a batch of beer that day. I was merely a spectator, but it was fun watching the brewing process. A few hours after visiting Beer Beer & More Beer we had a 5 gallon bucket o' beer fermenting in our garage. In 2 weeks we bottle it, then in another 2 weeks we are ready to enjoy it! I can't wait. We will definitely be back to buy more ingredients & brew more beer! read more

After getting some bad info from my old LHBS I decided to come here on a long trek from Fremont during rush hour. It was quite a distance from where I live. I came in to find ALL kinds of things I've never had at my other LHBS. Better, fresher, more of them. I was doing my first all-grain and had never had to mill my own grain. I asked the guy at the register, "so I've never had to use the mill before, how to I adjust the crush?" Without looking up he told me, "its not adjustable." Ok, "so should i put all the grains in 1 bag or separate so you can ring em up?" I don't remember what he said but the attitude was very much of "this would be a great place to work if it weren't for all these annoying customers." Very squidward-ish. 15 minutes later he was a bit more helpful and asked if I had any questions. I'd still come here but that wasn't the best first impression. read more

Perhaps I'm the only person who has had a bad experience. My wife ordered me a deluxe beer brewing kit for Christmas. Lots of boxes showed up, I was happy and put them away until a later date when I could play with my new toys. A month or so later I realized almost everything was missing. Multiple attempts by Morebeer to get everything to me, finally everything has arrived, mostly unbroken... In the meantime I have taken a class to make beer and my wife took a class to make wine. With the kit all my wife needed to make wine was a bucket and 6 gallon carboy so I want to a local store and got what she needed. Got home and realized Morebeer had sent me a 6 gallon instead of 5... I wasn't going to write a review but they went above and beyond to give terrible service. The girl who handles this stuff was nice enough to give me attitude and insinuate it's my fault for not realizing sooner that they had messed up. Next time you screw up don't give the customer attitude about it, just fix it! read more

60 day hassle free return policy is not exactly hassle free. I recently made a purchase of a product that many online stores carry, and because I was unsure if the specific product would fit my needs, I ultimately chose More Beer because of the aforementioned return policy. Despite all the online research I did on the product, I wasn't able to really get an idea of how it would suit me until I had it in front of me. Well, turns out the product was not for me. After submitting a return form request, I expected to receive return shipping labels. Instead I received a return address to California and was told that I am expected to pay return shipping. Return shipping is between $40-$50 which is 1/3 of my total purchase price. That's a hassle. Even though the product shipped from Pennsylvania, good ol' Keith informed me that the company was based in CA and that I would have to ship it there, even though shipping to PA warehouse would save me about $25. This stipulation should be very clear on their website under the returns FAQ. I understand the uncertainties that come along with buying products online, but these major suppliers are putting the local guys out of business, so you would think that they would be more apt to eat the cost of return shipping to ensure a strong customer base. Overall I feel like the customer service reps plain don't care, and if that's how you want to run your business thats fine, but I for one will not be making any future purchases with this company, nor will I recommend them to anybody, and will definitely be sure to clarify their hassle free return policy to everybody for them. read more

Wow, the worst costumer service that I have experienced in years. I placed an order close to Xmas and according to their website, they said they would have it delivered on time. Okay, they didnt. I paid for express shipping and they stated that they would not credit my account for the extra shipping charge. The costumer service employee I spoke to on the phone said that the manager said that I should have known that they would not be making deliveries on the 23rd. Right. How I am supposed to know. Well. Good luck people-- I will never purchase from them again. There are so many companies that can do business online. Steer clear they are not worth the risk. And for a 3 dollar item. Yikes. I would only buy big purchases from the beverage people. CA read more

Guy at the counter was uninterested in helping us. The store was empty. I will not deny they have everything you will ever need to make beer at good prices, but the D at the counter irritated me. This company has quite a few products, particularly in the "equipment" or "gadget" genre. They're also fairly active in the Homebrewing community and do a lot of advertising on The Brewing Network. The pricing is average to high for most items. They do a "deal of the day" everyday that is often a decent deal if you're looking for that one particular item on that day. They have a free shipping option for orders over $59, but unless you have a LOT of time to wait, that option isn't a great one. I've ordered from them online 2 different times using this option. It took 6 days the first time, and 7 days the 2nd time for my order to leave their facility. They advertise 2-4 business days, which is quite a long time to get around to fulfilling an order, but even 2-4 days is faster than my experience with them. My personal opinion is that free shipping options shouldn't significantly delay the fulfillment of the order. Obviously, it's going to ship with the cheapest (i.e. slowest) option through the post office or UPS, but that shouldn't delay how quickly they get the items out the door. In today's day and age, online ordering should be fulfilled within a day, or two at the latest, regardless of how expensive of a shipping option you choose. Your opinion and expectations may be different, so I thought I would share mine in case you agree. There are a lot of alternatives out there for online homebrew supplies and equipment, so look around and try ordering from different companies. Midwest Supplies always gets orders out immediately, so check with them if you're looking for an alternative. Depending on what you're ordering, even with shipping they may come out cheaper. read more

i went this past Saturday afternoon. Well worth the drive. a cornucopia of beer, wine & coffee making fun! The staff are very knowledgeable, but can leave you alone to wander the store. That day they had a free bbq, demos in the parking lot and 15% off sale. (I picked up a polycarbonate "unbreakable" french press. Let's see if one of my roomies is up for the challenge, will he manage to break this one?) I'm just a beer making helper, but this beer making sure is some fun stuff. Great little spot with friendly + knowledgable staff and all the critical supplies for home brewing. Wifey and I decided we want to try our hands at brewing our own cider and mead so, after watching a bunch of how-to vids on youtube, we started looking around for a place to get the basic supplies. MoreBeer had everything we needed to get started and a great range of products from relatively cheap starter geer to expensive high-end stuff aimed at small businesses and serious enthusiasts. We were even able to find a yeast strain specifically for mead. Most importantly for a couple newbies, the staff was friendly and more then willing to stop and help us get the right stuff.
