This store has so many items with no prices. I don't understand how a consumer is expected to shop unless money is no object? I was completely ignored three times by store employee "Audrey." Twice when going to the register to check prices. She was talking nonstop to the register employee and would not pause for me to ask the price. The first time I waited a minute and was finally helped by the register person, the second time, I waited again then went to the self checkout and scanned the item to find out the price. The third time was when I left the store and wanted to see her name tag. She was still talking nonstop with zero acknowledgment of me as a customer. I lingered around the counter to get her name and once again was ignored. What a stark contrast to the CVS on Green Valley which I will go out of my way to go to and avoid this store from now on. THEY DO NOT INPUT PRESCRIPTIONS IN THEIR SYSTEM (even when called in twice) I am planning on contacting the pharmacy manager. In lieu of the long review I was going to write, this CVS location is not trustworthy. My medication was supposed to be started tonight and I was not able to do so because of their negligence. I used the pharmacy and they were very helpful. I have Kaiser so don't use a regular pharmacy but I needed to get a prescription for my dog. When the clerk told me the cost and I almost fell over, she suggested that I use GoodRX which lowered the cost substantially. I hate coming to this store. A product was not available at my regular CVS to order online. The website says 'find other stores that have this available'. The Palmer store shows up as product is available. Order online. Give it about an hour. Go pick it up, and it's not there. They don't have it. They had to go to another CVS to get it. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT MYSELF! Waited in line while the ONLY attendant helped 2 people in front of me on self-checkout (apparently the name doesn't apply). This CVS pharmacy refuses to staff more than one person at the front counter, even though the customer base increased exponentially when the Walgreens and Belair pharmacies closed. There is always a minimum line of 6-8 people waiting to be helped (yet there are six counter spaces available). I was informed that management won't schedule more employees. I want to recognize this store because, I go to CVS on green valley road usually they are my go to CVS most often,and, genuinely outstanding. I go there for all my medial products n perscriptions ...but, when, in Cameron Park I go to this CVS. I am a senior person who has disabilities..I have a walking, breathing and now an injury in my back from a fall... I say all this because, I believe all of us need to be recognized for outstanding kindness and gracious service to another. This is the case here. Having to go here to return Light bulbs, I had purchased a few weeks past after an appointment. Today I was returning from my doctors office near by and finding it very very difficult and painful to enter I met a most wonderful and amazing customer service lady named,Tanie. She immediately made sure I had a chair and inquired as to my needs. I explained and she went way out of her way to help. She led me to the pharmacy and instantly I was helped by the pharmacy staff. And, I was not the only person that needed help. But, they're service was fast and efficient... For all. Then Tanie returned to help me in the store. She found cosmetics I haven't been able to find after looking in a few places. At other places. She helped me while helping others as well, with her efficient n beautiful nature. No prolonged waiting and I had a chair she had gotten for me. After I had gotten everything I needed she walked me the door to, make sure I had gotten to my car safely parked right outside. Seriously, she is a Veryyyyy outstandingly wonderful human being a great and lovely young lady...and, amusingly Great giving Customer Care ... I came here recently for the first time and it was a really good experience. I heard that they had a good photo area and I was in need to prints. At the photo department there was a full display of photo options. Options pertaining to graduation, Father's Day, etc... there was examples of cards, canvas, frames... there were so many ways you can enjoy your photos today. Everything was very clean and organized- this made it extremely easy to use and enjoy. At the photo machine/work area there were convenient chairs to sit on while working and all kinds of chords to fit all different types of devices. All devices should be compatible whether it's old or brand new. I have a iPhone XR and it worked fine. I was able to pull up all my pictures and pick out what I wanted printed. I was able to custom size, features, and whether I wanted it printed in a hour or instantly. The best part about my experience was the customer service! The gentleman working the photo area checked in on me, was super nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He knew all the answers to my questions. I really appreciate that. My photos all printed and with great quality. I do suggest this place and I would return! read more

There is a line out the door for the pharmacy. Pharmacist went to lunch late because they were busy. Apparently when they go to lunch everything stops. Now I have to sit here till she's back and gets to my order even though it was called in before 11:30am. Hey CVS if your that busy maybe you should have more than one pharmacist working This is rediculous and a waste of my time not to mention mY wife who just had surgery is at home in pain. Went here to get my COVID booster and im not from the area, I let them know that I didnt have my card and the staff went to go ask the pharmacist next best steps. All I hear from the front counter is them in the back bickering and complaining how hard it is for them to get my info on a card. And why I need to go back to the original CVS (location is over 400 mi away from me) I didnt appreciate the lack of support and disingenuous customer service I was receiving. Management either needs to keep their staff in check or if youre going to talk sh*t leave it until after the patient leaves. Worst pharmacy ever! I keep wanting to trust them and give them my business but every time I do they let me down. Every single time! Dropped off my prescriptions in person 24 hours ago told me they would be ready in 30 min but to be safe I give them 24hours. They took my prescriptions and didn't even enter them into the system! When I called to see if they were ready because let's face it it's not my first rodeo with these guys and they say...sorry we have nothing in our "CVS system" with your name on it. Wait what?! Not my favorite store so it has been awhile since I've been in here. They have installed self checkout...which I opted not to do but was directed to them anyway. One said No Cash, the other said Cash/Debit. I went to Cash but it was not working and was told I only had the Debit option. Would not let me go over to the register so I could pay cash. For the first time, my fellow Yelpers let me down. I saw the reviews and decided to go to Safeway pharmacy. BIG MISTAKE. After three months of trying to refill orders (2 out of the 3 times they were out of stock yet didn't call me before my half hour drive down-plus the customer service attitude was horrible), I gave this CVS a try. I was shocked. I called at 5:30 the night before and my COMPLETE order was ready by 9 the next morning. Can you imagine? Competent and professional. The service was very friendly as well. Can't say enough good things about the pharmacy side. Even though the line was a little long I got serviced pretty quick. Came in for a Tdap vaccine and I'm inherently afraid of needles but Alyssa the pharmacist thoroughly went over everything and put me at ease. In the end she gave me the shot with no pain whatsoever! I go here for all my medications because I live nearby. I frequently have problems. The staff are all very friendly but I often run into problems with medications not being filled, or the pharmacy not receiving my prescription from my doctor's office at all, and having to call my doctor to send the prescription a second time so it can be filled. There are also really long wait times to talk to the pharmacy over the phone, which is not any of the employee's fault, but the lack of funding they have to hire enough people to run the pharmacy section efficiently. I feel bad for the pharmacy techs when they are very busy, and there is nothing you can do but be patient. read more

Not really service oriented here. My son son fell asleep while carrying him through the store looking for a bicycle tire patch kit for his bike. Clerk walked past me a couple times while I searched for clues to my item on the aisle descriptors looking lost and weary. A "hey can I help you find anything" would have been great. The checkout clerk did notice the glue missing from my kit which was great except for the fact that no one else was around to run for a new one. Meaning I had to leave to go back to get another and wait in line again! "Boo" for bad service! read more

This is the worst CVS pharmacy ever! The regular person behind the counter is rude, disrespectful and just downright unpleasant! CVS, please train your pharmacy employee (you know which one I am talking about) or get rid of her. She is not qualified to interact with the public. I have been to CVS pharmacies all over the country and most of them are very accommodating, actually check the status and try to expedite when they can see you just waited for 20 min in line. This chick doesn't do anything to help. She just looks at you with a scowl on her face and says "it will be 20 min". She has literally said this every time and knowing that I am waiting will never make sure that when my prescription is ready that it is announced. One time I waited for 45 minutes only to find out that it had been done for over a 1/2 an hour. She saw me there pacing around the store. Bottom line. She doesn't care! Get rid of her or give her some customer service training. Regardless of what you do, I am going elsewhere from now on. read more

The pharmacy is terribly slow, and understaffed. They had my prescription since before they opened, and at 2pm, they still didn't have it ready. I waited 20 minutes like they said, checked again, and it still wasn't done. I waited another 20 minutes, and the pharmacist himself asked what I was waiting for? He wasn't even working on my prescription! You'd think it would be marked as customer is standing waiting for it, but no, apparently they have no system like that. I'm not sure what the point of waiting was. I will be finding a new pharmacy soon. read more

Slowest service I have ever experienced at a Pharmacy. Perpetually understaffed and LATE filling prescriptions.

I have been a loyal shopper to this store for many years. Over time there are been a few occasions that I need some advice from the pharmacist on duty. The gentleman that comes out has long scragly hair and a beard that looks like he should be playing with ZZ Top,it is very unprofessional for that title. His name is Greg This last time I had it. He was very rude, he made me feel stupid for asking the questions that I was asking. He had no patience, and made me feel like I was bothering him and taking up his time. I'm not sure why CVS would allow the pharmacist on duty to look this way, and then treat customers the way that he does. I have heard other comments that he has made to people and am flabergasted. The other thing, I came in on a Tues or Wed morning, they were not that busy in the pharmacy, it looked like the pharmacist was knealing on the counter looking at something, I did not see one happy person in that pharmacy. No smile. They are looked like that was the last place they wanted to be working. Bring back Glenn , he was the best pharmacist that store has ever had. I sure hope that something can be done about this sour apple, it does not make the pharmacy look good!!!!! read more

I just left CVS and am shocked at the high prices. Their planting soil and seeds are double the price I've ever paid. Small Dixie cups were $6. And plastic handcuffs for my son were $5. I actually live in Placerville, but shop the Palmer Dr CVS due to the large size of the store and wide selection. While CVS pales in comparison to Longs as far as variety and prices goes, I find this location to be the best drug store for holiday selections and the garden section is particularly impressive, though of course you could go to Home Depot for better. Good value on bare root trees here too. CVS does not compare well to the old Longs, but I prefer it to the local Rite Aids, except the Thirfy ice cream is kind of neat there. The new Walgreens are bright and nice, but they are so small that they don't carry nearly the same wide variety of offerings as this CVS does. The prices aren't great, but the extra bucks is kind of a cool thing. I suppose I could go to Walmart for even bigger and more at lower prices, but sometimes it's just not convenient to spend and hour shopping a huge big box store. The staff at this CVS though few are very friendly. There is a particular young man in the Photo Dept here who always goes above and beyond in providing patient assistance. The Manager has also been cheerful and helpful in my experiences as well. I don't understand the thought behind the new high end (expensive) beauty shop attached, it's sharp but pricey so it's not my kind of thing. Longs was better but I don't care for Rite Aids and Walgreens are basically small convenence marts, so I go to CVS instead and this one is a pretty good store as far as CVS goes. read more

I'm absolutely done with this CVS. Unfortunately, CVS is contracted with my RX insurance, but I will go to a store further from home to receive any sort of decent service. I haven't been happy with this store since switching, but put up with it till now. When I first called, I asked my RX's to be pulled from another CVS. Shouldn't be too hard, right? I got an attitude form the tech on duty. She informed me that I needed to call as I needed each RX. So I filled the ones I needed. I've gone to pick up a few times. Two of those times there was no line, but everyone was "busy". No acknowledgment from any of the three staff members behind the counter. One filling Rx's, one on hold on the phone and the other checking stock. I waited at least 5 minutes AT the counter before being helped on both occasions. Another time I was given a 4:15 "promise" time. My husband was there at 4:20 and still had to wait another 40 minutes. I was told that I had no refills of a med and she asked if she should send a request. I told her which doctor to request from, and somehow the refill ended up at another store. I honestly have no idea how a refill request comes from one pharmacy and the order is filled at another. "Last straw" occurred today. My doctor ordered a dosage change. She is an independent doctor that has no staff so she doesn't usually deal with refills, but made an exception and requested I call my pharmacy and ask them to give her a call. I called CVS and they informed me that they had to have a fax from my doctor. I informed them that my doc doesn't have a fax so CVS asked me to have my doctor call them. My doctor did so and gave detailed instructions (refill as currently prescribed for 3 meds, dosage change on one) to which they replied that they needed more specific dosage instructions. How much more specific can you get?! Keep the dosage the same. My doctor called me and told me what had transpired and advised me "to not use that pharmacy if you have any other options". They were rude and unaccommodating to both of us for no good reason. I have personally had 4 conversations with my doctor today and 3 with CVS in less than 8 hours. It's completely unacceptable to be rude and unprofessional with patients/customers or doctors. Some medications are needed immediately after prescribed. Definitely don't go here if you have any urgent need. I will add that I have gotten decent service once there. I'm not playing customer service roulette with terrible odds any longer. I've used multiple CVS pharmacies and this is the worst by far. So long, Palmer Dr. CVS. Good riddance. read more

If I could give zero stars that would be a gross overstatement. I have been forced by my insurance to come here for the past 6 months. There are five people in my family so we are there multiple times per month. Not ONCE has it been a pleasant experience. Recurring prescriptions on auto fill are never ready. They have shorted us on controlled substances. There is rarely more than one person checking out and they are SO SLOW. Each visit where we actually get to leave with our prescription (that we have received text confirmation that it is ready) is NEVER under 15-20 minutes of waiting in line to get (sometimes) ONE prescription. If we are lucky enough to actually get the prescription that is on auto fill and we've been alerted is ready for pickup (most times after waiting 15 min in line, they make us come back in 15 min because it isn't actually ready though we've been texted and told it was) and then we have to wait ANOTHER 15 min in line AGAIN. No joke, my time in that place is usually about 45 min when it's all said and done, multiple times per month. I am going to switch to another city, I would gladly drive out of my way then to deal with their incompetent store ever again. read more

This pharmacy has become unbelievably inefficient. Refilling a prescription takes multiple calls to the Doctor, the pharmacy can't find the confirmation, they sit on it for days if you don't let them know you are going to come in and pick it up, and even when you do, they still don't have it ready. A minimum of two trips back to the store to pick it up. Too exhausting. Need to transfer all prescriptions to Bel Air. read more

Recently, because of an insurance change, my primary pharmacy became CVS (Cameron Park). There is always a line and never have I received service in less than 20 minutes. For a prescription for a salve, I waited in line for 20 minutes. When finally I spoke with the counter person, I was told that the prescription would be ready in 10 minutes, I waited and extra 10 minutes, stood in line for another 20 minutes and when I finally got to the counter I was told that the prescription was nearly ready and would I come back in 10 minutes. This is for a salve that comes in a pre-made tube. So for about an hour, no one could walk to the bin that held the tube. Unless the pharmacist was stuffing the tube him/her self. I do not understand the delays. Either this location is under staffed or under caring for people's time. The customer service projects as awful. The result of an uncaring corporation that is money driven to the detriment of their customers, Go somewhere else. read more

I waited in line there before Xmas over an hour just to pick up a prescription that was already a week past, because they "didn't have my meds in stock". Fast forward to January- this time (Monday) they said that they contacted my doc and the doc didn't respond, I called the doc and they said they did not have any requests from the pharmacy but would send over a new script right away. Called the pharmacy back let them know nothing was received by my doc and they were sending. Double checked with pharmacy to be sure they had it in stock- yes they did. Tuesday, I call to see if I can pick it up- not enough on hand can we pick up Wednesday, hubby tries to pick up Wednesday- not ready will be ready later in the afternoon - they will text. Here we are at Thursday morning and no text yet. I've now been 5 days without my HRT. I will never use them again. I've never dealt with such inept management! I'm worried for anyone getting meds there that are vital to their mortality because surely they soon will be dying. I thought initially that it was because the Bel Air pharmacy closed (used them for years without any issues) and moved our scripts to CVS and they were overwhelmed, but I can't continue to go there. My tolerance only goes so far, the service is the worst I've ever experienced. read more
