The absolute worst pharmacy anywhere! I called twice because they have told me two different reasons why my prescription is not read. The first time i called, I was on hold for 10 minutes before the system sent me back to a ringing phone, which was never answered. The second time I was on hold for 15 minutes where two different workers got on long enough to say there were people in front of me. And then at the 15 minute mark the system just said they're having difficulties and hung up on me. Terrible! read more

My particular medication is normally in low supply, but he always makes sure that he orders an adequate supply. Was trying to call this Walgreens pharmacy in the middle of the day. I was the third call in the queue. I waited. Finally, it was my turn. However, the phone rang over and over. At least 20 times but no answer. It went back to the hold music again. Waited for 20 minutes+ for someone in the pharmacy to answer. I gave up. The lady at the counter told me it would be ready by 2pm. So I said ok...I'd come back. Go back at 3pm and another person tells me they don't have the prescription in stock. Then says "oh wait we do have some". Then tells me to wait 20min. I mean did they not check when they originally told me how long it would take? Completely useless. I'll avoid this location in the future. I went from Urgent Care to pick up prescriptions before heading home (20 mile drive) and was told I'd have to wait 5 hrs. Well, I was first told 3 hrs and then it got bumped to 5 hrs. And I was given this information sandwiched inbetween the sarcastic lines of "there are no more half-hour fills". That might be so, but it used to be Urgent Care etc took precedence over regular refills. Devil's advocate here: that puts the pharmacy techs in a hard place. They've already committed pick up dates/times through their automated system to their routine refill customers. Now they must sandwich in add'l unscheduled customers. Walgreens might want to review their corporate policy and/or time allowances. While standing there I looked around and behind the counter. The place looked disorganized boxes and boxes of bagged prescriptions and several employees were all taking a break at the same time, leaving one unfortunate person to run around trying to help people simultaneously. Poor scheduling and use of time-management. I called the Walgreens in Rancho Cordova and they were able to QUICKLY get the Rx's transferred to their location. They also asked me to hold on the line while this was done to assure that there weren't any hiccups in the process. It only took about 2 minutes. It then took the Rancho Cordova branch 1.5 hrs to fill the meds and that gave me enough time to get home and grab a bite before arriving at their drive-thru lane to pick up. If you live and/or work in Folsom this spot might be OK. But if you live in an adjoining town and are only coming into Folsom for a doctor's or Ugent Care visit, ask the Urgent Care or doctor to have your Rx sent to a Walgreens Branch closer to your home. read more

First, let me say that I'm not a big fan of Walgreens due to a previous horrible experience getting my COVID booster (see other review). Too bad there are no negative stars because you don't even deserve the one that I gave you. So, when my wife said that she was having trouble finding some OTC allergy medicine and had gone to Walgreens for it, I understood. When she told me the story, I absolutley had to light you up again. My wife went to 4 different Walgreens to find a 70 count OTC bottle of alergy meds. Not for fun, but she looked on-line and these stores showed them in inventory. Walgreens....get your act together. Your online inventory is way off, a horrible way to treat your customers (while you still some). On her 4th trip, and exasperated, she was in this Folsom store and the "new gal" was trying to help her. She offered to call other Walgreens to see if they had these in stock so she didn't need to drive to more stores. Her supervisor told her, in front of my wife, that if she wanted to call for her, that she'd need to use her personal cell phone because they only had one phone line. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOU WOULD BERATE AND EMBARASS YOUR NEW EMPLOYEE BECAUSE SHE WOULD DARE TO PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE??So, who is your one land line for if it isn't to help customers? Walgreeens- the reason you are in business is to provide a service for your customers. Without them, you disasppear. Note: your net profit margin in 2022 was just 3.3% and only 1.9% in 2021. Not much cushion that would allow you to piss off your customers. Does your owner, Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc., (WBA) shop there? I doubt it, or they would be mortified. Do they see the reviews of not just this store but the entire chain? If they do and they see nothing wrong, they are the captains of the Titanic. Incapable of normal back and forth discussions...it's their way or highway...even when you have made special arrangements you have to basically have an argument with the service technicians. I'm so tired of dealing with incompetence that I must now look elsewhere. In addition, having to spew out all you private information loudly so they can hear through their plexiglass barriers with other people around seems like it should be some sort of Hippa violation....broadcasting the drugs you might be taking so everyone can hear is ABSURD!!!!! read more

Meh. The customer service oftentimes can leave something to be desired. Purchased some items but the staff are not super friendly. Did not even get a "thank you" from the person ringing me up. I was cheerful and tried to make small talk, but the lady wasn't having it. The store itself has the basics of what you may need from any general drug store (snacks, cosmetics, hygiene, first aid, pharmacy, vitamins etc) at a higher markup but I would prefer to.go to CVS down the block. If i could give them 0 stars I would! Literally the worst customer service ever. As a new mom, working full time, my schedule is always limited and I make the most out of every hour. I made time to go to this location since they promote "anytime passport pictures up to 10pm" on their website. I happen to step through the door with my baby at 4:00pm... i asked a lady at the cashier if I could get help with a passport photo? And she said: "yeah but we don't do passport photos from 4-5pm" and I was like umm that's very specific. I asked the reason and she said "the light is bad from 4-5pm" and I was like well I made time to come here so let's try. She called a guy that was supposed to help me at the photo department and first thing he said: no photos from 4-5pm" which made me really annoyed. I was like that's not what your schedule says on your website, you promote anytime passport pictures? He goes: yes but if I take it it will be automatically bad and I won't refund you. LOL Like? How do you know? The light seemed fine to me.. anyway. I was like you know what? I made time to be here with a baby, i need to make it happen, just take it please. He does warning me and obviously annoyed at me and took a shot like he didn't want to do it. THE PICTURE TURNED OUT PERFECTLY. He then goes and gossips about me to the other lady in the photo cashier lol Like are they serious? HORRIBLE experience. Poor customer service at the pharmacy. Should not be taking it out on customers if they are understaffed. Customers are picking up medicine while sick or with sick family members and the last thing needed is to get attitude or multiple delays. I went online to book an RSV vaccine shot today, took all my information and set up an appointment with a confirmation email and number back. Got there, No record of it. Spoke to the service man at the pharmacy, I told him I had Medicare and Supplemental with KP. He turned to the pharmacist, mumbled something then took all my personal info for 10 minutes. Then handed me back my ID and said they didn't accept my insurance. Couldn't have done that BEFORE taking my personal info. Then said its $320 for the shot. I don't think so. I arrived at 2:20pm with a simple prescription to be filled. I was given an hour and a half wait time and decided to go shopping to kill the time. 3.5 hours passed and I still hadn't received my prescription. I had to cancel my evening plans and take my prescription somewhere else. The manager was helpful but the pharmacy is an absolute disaster. To top it.. the pharmacy technician who gave me my incorrect 1.5 hour wait time couldn't figure out how to wear her mask... 2 years into the pandemic. This was a painful experience. They told me a month ago that I will have prescription ready but, after 6 weeks, I can't find any information about my prescription, nor have I got any information from them. The Pharmacy in Walgreens on E. Bidwell is the WORST I have ever dealt with. I am currently helping a friend who has had back to back surgeries on her neck because she contracted an infection due to the hardware placed at the top of her spine and it had to be removed four months later. The pain is significant. Her Neurosurgeon has prescribed multiple drugs both for pain and healing. What we have had to go through to get her pain medication is insane. They lose prescriptions, fail to communicate when they are ready after multiple promises that they will text or call, constantly question the "true" need for the pain medication, insist on constant "treatment plans" from a very busy doctor's office and so much more. TOTAL LACK OF COMPASSION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. We are currently looking to transfer ALL of her prescriptions to CVS. If I didn't see this first hand I truly wouldn't believe it. read more

This one star rating is based on our experience at the drive thru pharmacy today. There were no cars when we arrived just past 11 am. After pressing the call button, we were not acknowledged. A few minutes later someone came to the window to use the cash register and ignored us and left. Several minutes later, she returned and did the same thing! I am in shock with how the Walgreens off of Bidwell in Folsom, CA treats their sick pediatric patients. I drove my daughter from Sacramento to Folsom's Sutter urgent care because they could squeeze her in quicker than Sacramento. I've done this before and it used to work out beautifully that this Walgreens is right next door. After seeing the MD, I went inside the store to drop off my new insurance card and let them know I was waiting for my daughter's prescriptions that the doctor just sent over. I was told the wait would be an hour and half. It was 4:15pm so around 5:45pm they'd be done. As a pharmacist myself, I gave Navneet/Nazneet the pharmacy technician, my full trust that the wait time really was correct. I gave my cell and she said I'd receive a text in a few minutes to confirm my number and after, it would also let me know when the scripts were ready. I never got the text. After an hour of waiting in the car with my sick 2yo, I decided to check back in and the same technician told me they JUST got a new script and now, instead of 5:45pm, the whole order could be ready at 7pm. I told her I was in shock that it would take so long. I asked her why she couldn't just keep the order together and fill my antibiotic since I had already been waiting since 4:15pm. She said, "there are other sick people in pain and I have 60 scripts to fill before that one." The lack of empathy was completely disgusting. Nothing I said could make the process go faster. My 2 year old was about to be forced to wait 3 hrs to get her antibiotics, sitting in the car with 102 degree fever and this technician had not a single care to give. I drove off completely shocked. I ended up leaving Folsom to allow my child to rest comfortably at home while a friend of mine had to go and get the script later. What a disaster and complete customer fail on Walgreens behalf. I will not be going back. A little empathy could've gone a long way. To top it all off, I never got the text that my scripts were ready even after I told the technician the test text never came. Would I have ever gotten it if I wasn't proactively checking in with the pharmacy? Who knows but now I don't care to find out read more

Probably the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Woman working there was extremely rude and incompetent. Had to repeat my information about 4 times and ended up banking to practically yell it so the whole line could hear everything. Then I wait for my prescription to be ready and am told that my insurance doesn't cover it. I explain that I've gotten medication numerous times and my insurance doesn't cover it. Finally she shows me the information she has and after repeatedly spelling my last name to her, she still ended up spelling it wrong. With all the delays, it's now closing time and I go to pay and she rushes me through the form I'm supposed to read. I'm a calm person but that was the last straw. Won't ever go back here read more

The pharmacy is a joke-as mentioned in other reviews they do not have prescription meds. I went to get a refill on a prescription I had been filling for over a year and was told they do not carry that medication! What!?! I have been coming here filling it for months...what do you mean? Shoulder shrug- "we do not have that medication you will have to try another pharmacy. And make sure to call before just showing up." The reason I "just showed up" was because I have been filling this same prescription for over a year! This pharmacy is a disaster. They constantly do not have a supply of ordinary drugs. They save money by restricting their inventory to nothing and then require patients to either do without what maybe essential medications or ask the patient to locate a different pharmacy that has the drug in stock. I am HIGHLY disappointed with this Walgreens today... my 1 in a half year old has a double ear infection had an appointment this morning at the pediatrician around 9:30 I've come 2 times today to pick up his prescription called 4 times with no answer and currently still sitting in the drive through to pick it up. They ran it through my insurance this morning all was good came back to pick it up about and hour later,and it wasn't ready? They got tied up... meanwhile my baby is in the back crying and upset. I'm now paying out of pocket for it because they can't fill it through insurance because they said they ran out of the other medication and are giving me a different one that they have to run through insurance again? I have yet to step into this drug store. I switched my meds to this pharmacy location because the idiots in the other location are friggin clueless. I mean the pharmacist there don't get me started. I will yelp about that location in a minute. Let me focus on these idiots first. As I was saying I have only spoken to these morons and I have already blew-up at them. I'm from Boston and I have never had so much difficulty refilling meds. You go on the app and press refill. The app tells you when they can be ready. You go get them when you receive an email that they're ready. Nope not in California. Supposedly the app is wrong and it takes them a good week to two weeks at times to fill them. You literally have to start filling your refill the minute you pick your meds up so they'll be ready in time. They truly need 30 days! It's such a procedure for these fools. Apparently my insurance allows me to get a 90-day refill on my meds but I didn't ask for that nor did my doctor. So what does the pharmacist do? They slow my refill down by calling the doctor to see if it's okay to do a 90-day supply. Do doctors usually call the pharmacy right back? No! So it's a waiting game. Do I mind if I get a 90-day supply? No not at all! But if it's going to be a whole procedure. Forget about it! Just fill my script as is. You're not doing me any favors but causing me conflict and pissing me the F off! Then I refilled another med and it was the wrong dosage. I pressed the first one I saw on the app. When I took it out of the bag I realize it was the old dosage. I asked if I could bring it back and get the right one. Technically it's illegal to mess with someone's pills. I'm on a new dosage and it's XL to last all day. The lady on the phone goes well you picked it up recently (talking about the old dosage)??? Did she not see I also picked up the one in talks a week after!!! So what's more recent, friggin idiot!!! Obviously the doctor changed the med, idiot!!!! At the moment the won't give me either med. So I will be going cold turkey and I don't see my doctor until the 13th! I have a new doctor. I got refills to cover me until my new appointment. You don't want people off their meds idiots!!! The Healthcare in California sucks ass big time. They don't give a rats ass about you!!! They have no money to pay the doctors or put into research so they treat the patients like crap! They no nothing about mental health because if they did they would refill my meds. There's no stopping me! If you piss me off and lack commonsense I'm going to let you know!!!
