If you like being RACIALLY PROFILED then this is the store to go too! Her name is CINDY. She does not like African Americans or Mexicans anyone of Color because as soon as I walked in the store she starts taking pictures while I'm on the phone with a patient (I'm a caregiver) on what deals and items they need. I felt very uncomfortable and confronted her. She in fact had shown me her phone was on the camera and stormed out once I said ". You are racially profiling me because of the color of my skin"?? Wow racism. Like please let's all grow up! July 11, 2025, at around 5:00 PM at 526 E Bidwell St, Folsom, CA 95630. As soon as I entered the store, an associate named Cindy began taking pictures of me with her phone. I was on FaceTime with a relative, showing them some of the deals in the store. When I confronted Cindy and asked if she was taking photos of me, she accused me of taking photos instead. I showed her my phone and explained I was just on FaceTime. She then turned her screen toward me, which was on the camera app, yet she still denied taking pictures. I made it clear that I did not appreciate this behavior and told her it felt like racial profiling. I was simply shopping like any other customer. This is a decent Rite Aid location. They are usually well-stocked, the staff is usually friendly, and I'm usually able to find whatever I come in for. (Pro-tip: Rite Aid has surprisingly good deals on alcoholic beverages.) This store was partially remodeled within the last few years, after a car drove through the side of the building. (Seriously, what is up with the residents of Folsom driving through retail stores? The same thing has happened at Raley's and Starbucks.) Earlier today, I posted pictures of the new garden center inventory. They have lots of cute stuff, and it's almost always on sale. This time of year, the sale is only 25% off, but it'll probably hit 50% off by spring, and 75% off by fall. If there are any bicycle planters left by fall, they might become part of my collection. A few weeks ago, while shopping in this store, I noticed signs on the (fully stocked) ice cream freezers which read, "ICE CREAM NOT FOR SALE." Now, I'm curious. What was going on with the ice cream? Why was it there, but not for sale? If it's not for sale, why not move it to the back freezer? Do they not have a back freezer? If it was spoiled, why wasn't it thrown in the trash? Was it waiting to be donated to the food bank? Was it perfectly good ice cream that just hadn't been scanned in yet? I have so many questions. Anyway, the main reason I shop at this store is for the pharmacy, where I usually receive great service, with a few exceptions. I've actually had to come in three separate times this week, and the first two times were good experiences. The third trip has a backstory: About five months ago, I came in to pick up a three month supply of birth control. The pharmacist told me that I was only getting a two month supply, instead of three, because they were out of stock. He assured me that he would make it up to me next time-- but he never did. This afternoon, when I called to refill my prescription, I was told by the young male pharmacy assistant that I was too early. This is upsetting for a few reasons. First, they still owe me a whole month's supply that they never gave me! That's the last time I'll trust the pharmacist on his word alone, without a note or something. Why wasn't it notated on my file, as promised? Where did my prescription go? Did one of the employees sell it? Is there a Dr. Richard Sharpe situation going on? Second, according to CA law, I should be able to receive a whole year's supply at once. Last year, they were making me come in every single month. After my supply came in late two months in a row, I ended up throwing a fit (you can't just mess with my hormones and expect me not to get moody), and then they started giving me three months at a time. Third, I should be able to skip a week out of every single month, and it's honestly not my pharmacist's business if I do. This is a personal decision that is between me and my doctor. I should be able to pick up my yearly supply up to three months early, theoretically. Fourth, it's important to take birth control on a regular schedule, in order to prevent things like acne and pregnancy. Randomly changing the schedule can mess with your mood, along with a lot of other things that I would rather not mention in a Yelp review. So, to have a young man in his twenties (who I'm guessing has never taken birth control) deny me my medication was upsetting. Luckily, when I called my doctor, she straightened things out, and I was ultimately able to receive the medicine on time. By the time I came in, the young man had been replaced by a young woman, who was much more understanding and helpful. That being said, the reason I docked a star is actually for the nightmarish restrooms, which were somehow missed during the partial remodel. If my rating were for the restrooms alone, it would be a negative five. Of course, I'm only able to speak for the female restroom, but it's always dirty, has multiple broken soap dispensers attached to the walls, and rarely has usable soap. Honestly, I'm not doing it justice. It's so bad. It has that ancient pipe smell. All of the tiles are cracked. And the walls are caked with years of... nevermind. I can't wrap my head around how this was missed during the remodel. Does someone need to drive a car through the restroom, too? I *hope* the pharmacy has their own separate restroom, because if the pharmacists are using a restroom where there is no soap, then that would be a health code violation (and gross). Overall, I'm mostly satisfied with my shopping experiences at this location, and will continue to shop here in the future-- although I really wish they would bulldoze the whole restroom, and start over. read more

It is frustrating to deal with these people as they obviously don't give a damn. Prescription was sent, pharmacy tells me to come back in half an hour. As soon as I leave I get a text saying it is ready. I could not come back so asked for it delivered. No exact delivery time, one has to sit around for 4 hrs waiting for them to deliver it, as they require an in person signature. And you can't leave them a signed paper asking them to leave it on the porch (I asked). This is NOT the first time I had these issues with them. I am switching to Walmart, it is much easier. The wait time is few minutes longer maybe but there isn't all these hassles. Another company that should go out of business. read more

My review is of my first time visit to this Rite Aid. I will not come back to this store after my experience today. This store is very conveniently located in Folsom on Bidwell, with lots of parking and easy access. When I first walked in I could not find a card. I asked the very unfriendly employee where the carts are kept and she said - they are all being used. Well, that was odd because the store and parking lot were basically empty.... I went outside into the parking lot and got my own cart. I had a list of about 10 items - common drug store things - shampoo, hair spray, toothpaste, mints, etc. Things that any drug store would have. Well, out of my 10 things, they didn't have half of them. Many shelves were empty and bare. The shampoo/hair aisle is very sparse. The candy aisle was out of most things. When I was ready to check out there were zero employees in the register area. I stood there for a long time before the same unfriendly woman went and stood behind a register and just waited for me to come up. Check out was cold and crabby. I'll continue to go to their competitors nearby. read more

Five stars for having a prescription that no other pharmacy in the area had!!!! You would think being a pharmacy they would be more detailed oriented to read my name correctly.... It started with the correct letter but that was about as close as they got. The reason why it matters was because they were calling the wrong name over the store intercom; needless to say I didn't answer and my visit took twice as long. Pleasantly surprised at the prices!!! Tony in the pharmacy is great and the store staff are typically very friendly and awesome, however Kayla was extremely unhelpful and had a ridiculous attitude with me when I was confused and concerned about my insurance and the complications they were having. Rather than offer to help me find a solution, she just told me to call my insurance provider, which I already did. Then she snarkily told me to call Folsom Rite Aid and have them process my prescriptions instead. That's exactly what I did, but... big surprise, Cameron Park location has them on hold so I can't have them processed at Folsom until Cameron Park releases the holds. Been going here for about 10 years, but with Kayla's nasty attitude, I may not be coming back. read more

This Rite Aid is a pretty sad situation. I went here with my sister who needed some travel items including travel sized shampoos and toiletries when she was in town for vacation. We asked a worker to help but he directed us to the wrong aisle. Turns out I dont even think they have a travel section. The store was pretty unkempt and we decided to leave and go to the nearby (and well stocked) CVS instead. read more

The store is mediocre compared to other drugstores. They have a good selection of vitamins and lots of drinks in the refrigerated section. The thing that makes this Rite Aid wonderful is that they serve Thrifty Ice Cream inside which makes this the best ice cream shop in Folsom. Baskin Robbins is too sweet and Cold Stone is too expensive. Black Cherry, Chocolate Malted Crunch, Mint-Chocolate Chip....you can't go wrong!!! read more

I have been going to this Rite Aide in Folsom for almost 8 1/2 years and before that the one in Citrus Heights..I relly believe they try hard to get you in and get you out as fast as they can, but they are also trying to be a Friendly store that caters to their customers.I love that they have Profile and are always will to look up anything or give me a print out whenever I need one,they fill the RX' as quickly as they get them and go that extra what ever it takes.I will never go anywhere else.I also have been using their rewards Plenty program and now even get 20 % off any purchase in the store and all sales. I have gone to this pharmacy for years...I have always enjoyed the smaller personable feeling at this location, up until a couple of months ago. Pharmacy tech Tonya is not only rude but needs some education in customer service. I have had multiple interactions with her and each have come with a lot of rude attitude and non helpfulness. To rite aid management- I suggest possibly retraining of staff because you have lost a long time customer due to the recent interactions over the last few months. read more

LIAR! Although my doctor called in a prescription for me, the Folsom pharmacist lied to my face and said my doctor had refused to refill it. It was only after I called my doctor was I told the truth. Why? If they did not want to fill a prescription for me (that was legally prescribed), the very least they could do is ADMIT it. My Dr. saved my life and has and will continue to save so many others. Tyler at the Folsom Pharmacy knocked it out of the park for me today. I had a problem with my mail order pharmacy and needed to get a refill urgently of essential medications. Tyler spent nearly the entire day working on getting the prescription filled, and his efforts prevented me from shelling out $1000 as the cash price, because the mail order pharmacy had already filed a claim with my insurance. I have been a customer of this Rite Aid for years without issue until recently. One individual that works there (Tonya) always looks for a problem rather than helping me find solutions to navigating the insurance and how to get prescriptions filled. Her rude attitude is the last thing anyone needs when they are sick and looking towards the pharmacy to help. If it weren't for Tonya, this Rite Aid location would be amazing again. Unfortunately, I'm now looking to move all of my business to a different pharmacy due to the lack of quality customer service. read more

I was not impressed with my experience here. I went into the store looking for earplugs. There was no one to be found except one other customer. At the cash register, there was a bell that said "ring for service. That should have indicated immediately that no one would help. So I rang the bell, no one came, and there was still no one coming. So I waited a few more minutes, still no one. After 15 minutes, someone from the pharmacy finally came out to help find an employee. That was ridiculous! The employee was outside collecting carts, and clearly upset that he was called inside. read more

If I could write this Rite Aid a zero star review, I would. After giving this location the benefit of the doubt multiple times I am done. Three times I have gone there over the past three months to pick up my prescription. All three times I have been told my prescription is not ready, and I need to wait another 6 days for my refill. All three times I currently had less than 6 days worth of medication. After being reduced to tears in line, asked to repeat my personal and medical information loudly in front of other customers on multiple occasions, I am done. Their employees lack of attention and customer service has caused me public embarrassment and endangered my personal information too many times. The staff treats me like a drug fiend for simply trying to pick up a generic anti-depressant when I need a refill. All three times my medication should have been ready for pick up, and all three times I have had to fight for my prescribed medication simply because they cannot handle doing a refill in a timely fashion. Do yourself a favor and avoid this Rite Aid like Covid-19. read more

With out fail, every time I've ever been to this store it takes me five times longer to get checked out then it should. It's almost like they make a game of being the slowest people on earth. Be at the front desk or the pharmacy they are all slow. There are too many other choices within a couple hundred feet to waste my time at the store. Walmart is down the street. Best customer service of all rite aids, hands down! All the managers and staff are pleasant to talk to and extremely helpful! They always try to make my trip quick and easy. I will definitely be coming back to this drug store regularly! One thing is, I wish they would stock up more on items that are on sale for the week. But no complaints, I am one happy customer.
