I couldn't resist tearing into this thing. Hahahaha

We happened upon this great gem of a café on our way to S.L. Tahoe. I ordered a blended mocha and the wife asked for an iced latte. Both were on point, and the breakfast bagels had to be the highlight of it all. I had a avacado, egg, bacon on everything bagel that was artful and delicious, and the wife had the American bagel. This is the place to stop. Thank you to the warm and courteous staff.

I visited Foxwood this Black Friday to grab some coffees and breakfast and I would definitely come back! Every single barista was extremely friendly and the drinks were all delicious and reasonably priced. I really liked the southwest burrito too and will be back for all of these!

Interesting presentation of Vietnamese iced coffee to say the least :p

Wanted to check out this coffee spot and although I was meaning to order my go-to coffee drink of choice, an iced mocha, I was pleasantly surprised that cà phê sữa đá (Vietnamese iced coffee) is offered here. It's my all-time favorite type of coffee drink! Got that instead and, eh, kinda wished that I stuck with the iced mocha plan. Lady at the cashier informed me that it would take some time to make, which at first I thought was a good sign since it would indicate that it would be made fresh to order, but taking 30 min to do a pour over on the metal filter (phin) was a bit of an overkill lol. Didn't even taste exceptionally smooth compared to Vietnamese iced coffees that I've had elsewhere that took much less time to prepare. Also, the filter didn't even seem to work well as there was a layer of coffee grounds debris at the bottom of my cup making the last 1/6th of my drink undrinkable without sipping up some bitter grittiness. Aside from that, the cafe had chill social vibes and the staff were very friendly. Overall I wouldn't deter you from checking out this place but I wouldn't really recommend the Vietnamese iced coffee here.

This place really serves some great coffee! This time I went with their Aztec Chai which is a blend of the Mexican mocha and spicy chai. I think I found my new favorite drink. This place is so good! Also got a Foxwood burrito for breakfast as well, and that was delicious!! The tortilla is panini pressed which gives the burrito a wonderful crisp texture! I'm enjoying this place more and more. The people that work there are very nice and welcoming and I also enjoy the music that plays in the background.

Cute little place with comfy seating and regular tables inside. They have a nice shaded area outside as well. Service was friendly. Worth noting, they add 2.8% to your bill if you use a credit card. Sandwich came out piping hot and delicious. It has tomato and pesto which really amp up the flavor. Perfectly adequate but nothing fancy. I look forward to trying the breakfast burrito next time.

Quite a lovely place in a small town. Stopped over a week ago to wait for an appointment start elsewhere. So glad I did. Nice place that has good indoor seating (some tables, a few cozy chairs), a bookcase, and a very nice patio area. Good view of the area as this location sits up on a hill. That day it was extremely rainy, some lightnings, and super windy. Cuddled inside with my book and iced tea, it was a great view north and west. I will be returning when I'm in the area often.

Lovely lil coffee cafe here in Shingle Springs (near the Honda dealership). Wonderful discovery... lovely setting - both indoors and out. Sweet corner for children w toys and painted rocks. Really enjoyed my almond milk latte and spending time here. the staff was very welcoming.

They serve organic coffee and I could really taste the difference. They currently have a seasonal menu and their regular menu included some unique options. The maple latte caught my eye; I ordered it with oat milk and it was one of the best coffee drinks I've ever had. Seriously! It wasn't overpoweringly sweet, but there was enough flavor so it actually tasted like a maple latte instead of a warm milk as many special drinks end up tasting from my experience. It's always disappointing to buy an expensive coffee that doesn't have enough flavor, but you'll get what you pay for here. They offer a few little snacks and there is tons of seating (indoor and outdoor!) with beautiful natural light, art and plants. The baristas were kind and helpful and made beautiful latte art. If you love it as much as I did, you can even buy coffee beans and merchandise as well. It's tucked away in downtown placerville and I would highly recommend Pachamama to everyone!

This particular one is in Placerville, right on touristy Main Street. Well It's actually tucked in a shopping pedestrian alley right off Main Street. The coffee is delicious. I've had their various drip coffees before, all terrific tasting. My usual go to's are their lattes. This time I was in the mood for a seasonal winter drink, wintermint mocha. Yum! I ordered it with oat milk and they don't up charge. The mocha had a smooth, creamy chocolate espresso taste. I even got a pretty design of foamed milk on top of my drink. Aww it was cute. No up charge for that as well and I didn't even ask them to do it Outside the cafe is an outdoor courtyard with bistro tables for folks to sit n enjoy their coffee or whatever. I say whatever because the area is open for all to sit a spell. The courtyard is enclosed with brick buildings around its square perimeter. The buildings provide ample shade and cooling temps in the summer. Plus there is a water fountain that provides a calming zen like sound of trickling water. The cafe also has an indoor seating area. The interior furniture includes tables, sofas, lounge chairs, and high top tables aesthetically giving off modern, minimalist Scandinavian design vibes. Luvin this look.

Brought to you by the family-owned, upscale and very successful, Nugget chain of grocery stores. I became very well acquainted with the Nugget markets living in Davis. There were two stores not far from each other and they were always packed. I shopped at the smaller one as it was closer to my home. It is literally the only place I ever shopped for food.I cannot imagine shopping anywhere else. When I moved to El Dorado Hills 5 years ago... thank goodness there was a big and beautiful Nugget a mile and half away. My point is all Nugget markets are quite incredible. Nothing compares to them. Excellent quality, in-house prepared food, bakery... TDF, floral, meat department, liquor, and fabulous fresh produce section. Fork Lift is to me like the Nugget markets on steroids! I was astonished at the size of the store and cool inside architectural design. Yes it is hip! Super clean, well stocked in everything. Organized. Quite impressive. And the same great departments as I mentioned above that are available in the Nugget stores are right here too! The chatter is that the Fork Lift offers many discounted prices but honestly, I never see them. Then I heard the lower priced items are strategically placed in and around the store. Who knows. I enjoy taking the drive up the hill to Cameron Park occasionally just to wander around and marvel at this shopping mecca! Easy exit off the freeway and fast to find. Plenty of parking. Worth checking out if you are in the area or on the way to or returning from Tahoe. Did I mention super duper customer service!?! And weekly specials! Geez... a girl cannot remember everything.:) Here is to good eating!
