Pharmacy staff always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Don't use the retail department but it looks well stocked!

I used to think this was a good store, but the last month, I have had two bad experiences at the drive through window so I am sharing. I've had a long wait because the guy working the window waits on the person at the other drive up window at the same time making my wait longer than it should be. Today I tried talking to him several times and he was waiting on the driver who was behind me and ignored me. The customer at the other window had to tell him I was trying to get his attention before he listened. I had pressed the call button 2x and he ignored it. Since it was the 2nd time he has done this, I find it rude. Maybe he thinks it's multi tasking but when your the customer and a person behind you is being taken care of first, it is frustrating. read more

They replaced workers with self checkout so if you are waiting to check out for pictures or alcohol no one is here to help you and there is no way to call people to help you. And the line built up at the register and they were helped first even though I was there waiting first. read more

Switching to a new pharmacy can be a total hassle. Let me tell you, my gaggle of family members have quite a number of prescriptions from various doctors. The pharmacy staff here are superstars. I have had no hassles at this pharmacy, just helpful kind customer service. This is a biz-zee place considering they are in the burbs with two senior communities nearby. I have seen the pharmacy staff deal with stressed out and at times disgruntled customers, they always are professional and focused to help. They have helped me when I encountered issues with insurance. They just didn't shoo me away, they interpreted the codes and provided me the reasons. From that, I was able to figure out other options. Plus they do take GoodRx app pricing. With that said , I have to add that I have never used the pharmacy drive thru. I have always just walked on in. They provide free COVID vaccines and booster shots. They also provide flu shots and shingle shots, which maybe free with certain insurance. You can make appointments online or just drop on in for all of the above jabs. But you may ask, why the 3 star ranking? Well the pharmacy is 5/5 stars with the retail shop being totally opposite. More than half of the time, the sale prices do not ring up at the register even though the items have sale stickers and is advertised in their flyer which has not expired yet. The cashiers makes no effort to override the register to provide the sales pricing. I do not blame them, they seem to be following some sort of scripted protocol. The pharmacist was getting absolutely yelled at and cussed out while I was there, and she handled it very well. She managed to stay diplomatic and still helped the person. Takes someone with an insane amount of empathy and a huge heart to take care of the person verbally assaulting you. read more

They deserve a 0 star rating. It is nothing but problems with this pharmacy. They have no one that watches them to ensure they care about their customers. Even worse is they now have a phone system that runs you around in circles in order to prevent you from talking with the pharmacist. I would avoid this pharmacy at all cost! Take if from someone who only stayed with them because they are less than .3 mile away. I will now drive to a better pharmacy with better service. read more

Usually use Costco pharmacy. Today went to doctor block away from this cvs. In severe pain and wanted to stop close to home. Told one hour for script to be filled. Told would receive text. Two hours later, I called, took seven minutes on hold to speak to someone. Was told another hour. Still in pain. Was told "we are doing inventory so we cannot access the medicine". There was no offer to transfer to another cvs at the target or to my Costco. Will update in one hour. So at an hour later told it would be ready by 5pm. This whole deal started at 0959hr. (yes I am in the medical profession). Called back and asked to have script sent to Target CVS. It was ready in less than twenty minutes. Other half went to Target and picked the meds up, back in minutes. Will pass this CVS in the future...... read more

the staff on latrobe in el dorado hills are so nice , honest , non judgemental and helpful . i have been going thru pain management with other significant health issures and fighting so hard to get better . i am getting a weaning dose of an opiate and they understand and work with me , they never act like im drug seeking . it's a valid prescription but some pharmacies, id say most - even other cvd pharmacies are not like that . they treats me like the drug seeking h crazy woman . If they are out of stock that means you as the patient has to find where another pharmacy will fill it and if they have it . sometimes they do have it but will not give it to you because they "save" it for their costumers , i've been a customer for some time, it went on n on for months because of lack of supplies . all these people coming over the border with opioids , where's the stock? jk.... If you have a legal prescription and an ID and they know you from your profile it makes no sense them playing God and giving u a hard time . it's quite obvious which customers appear on the scene and are having issues .Withdrawing from opiates can kill you , so the pharmacy takes it very lightly oh no we can't fill it . yes we have the med but we're not giving to give it to you - suffer . it's def not a med i want to be on . to you . seems illegal to me . The person at CVS, who the pharmacy told me was the manager for that day (tall, thin, bald head), was unprofessional and very rude! The store was tranquil, with only one other person that had finished his transaction. I asked this man if he could help me find a product. He said to look in aisle 3. I was hurrying to get my mom to a doctor's appointment. I asked if he would help me look up the item to see if they carried it in the store and I did have the name of the product. He said no unless you give me the item number. I asked how would I have an item number. He said, "Well, I can't help you then!" I told him he was unhelpful. I was walking out of the store with my dad, and he said to my 94-year-old dad, " I'll help you, but not her." It upset my dad. I'm very disappointed in this man's behavior. He upset not only me but also my poor dad. Whatever happened to courtesy and customer service? I won't go back. There are many other pharmacies with kind and helpful people. read more

I came to the store to pick up my dad's medication and there is this pharmacist named Brian who apparently was a new guy there, gave me a lot of attitude and didn't help me at all, first he said it's for the privacy and when my dad himself came to the counter, he still didn't help us with the name of his mediation! He said if you are not low , I can not refill them!!! Why anyone come to the store if they are not low and what kind of accusation is that ?!! I got frustrated and asked for manager; first he said there is no manager here, then he implied that he is the manager! And then left us unattended! This kind of behavior is not good for this store not for keeping any customers! Very disappointed and thinking to change my pharmacy for sure.... read more

Used to be a pharmacy and drugstore with outstanding service. I chose it over several much closer to home. BUT This is the second time that we have gone to pick up prescription refills and a pharmacy employee can't find it, tells us there is nothing to be picked up. This after receiving their phone msgs that the prescription is ready to be picked up. Today I suggested to the pharmacy mgr that they deliver the med to me since we already went out once to pick it up. She tells me that yes, they can deliver it, and it will take 2 days! Really really bad service! What if someone were really sick and depended on that med????? read more

My physician ordered a Rx for Covid and it's already been more than 24 hours. CVS in EDH has it in their system with no ETA. My wife's dr called in an identical Rx for her to Safeway and it was ready in less than one hour. Called my dr to have him reroute the Rx. read more

If I could give this CVS a zero I would. At least 1/2 dozen times this year I have not been able to pick up a prescription even after they texted saying its ready. There is always some rule, some glitch, some mistake and you leave empty handed. I moved my prescriptions to the new Safeway and loved it, but unfortunately my insurance has an alliance with CVS and had to move back if I wanted to be covered. I would rather go to the Dentist. The pharmacist Hetal T. is the most unhelpful, unfriendly, unreasonable person I have ever dealt with. CVS you can do better. read more

They are useless. The Asian technician that works there is so rude and speaks to patients/customers like he's better than them. He shows frustration and rudely told me that they don't have time for it and they were too busy and it will take one hour for my pain medication to be ready. The girl that answers the phone is even worse. After holding 13 min, they finally answered and then she said that she couldn't find any prescription for me and put me on hold for another 10 min. I drove from Folsom all the way home in EDH and was still on hold for this pharmacy. Will definitely change my pharmacy from now on. read more

This is my go to corner pharmacy. The manager is very helpful and friendly just like the cashiers. I love the text reminders I get from the pharmacy that my script is ready. Whenever I need to pick up a quick gift card as a gift they have them all. read more

The store is fine, my complaint is the pharmacy. I have been coming here for 6 years. The last 3 years the pharmacy has been a 3 ring circus. The prescription is ready, then it is not ready, then they are out of it and the shipment is on Monday, then they have not gone through the shipment. There is ZERO communication from the Pharmacist, she states she cannot fill a prescription and walks away. EXPLAIN WHY!!! YOU CANNOT FILL A PRESCRIPTION SO I CAN CALL MY DOCTOR AND SORT THIS OUT!!! English my first language, give me a try! Then there are the Pharmacy minions......completely useless.....no help at all, just a blank stare and sorry.... On three separate occasions in the past four months, CVS has had some difficulty filling my prescriptions. On two occasions, I waited seven days for a prescription to be filled. (A script that the doc wanted me to start immediately) Most recently, my physician sent a three-part prescription to CVS. Shortly thereafter, I received a text advising that one of the three drugs was not in stock. Since my physician did not want me to take a generic substitute, CVS advised me they could not fill the prescription. My physician next sent the same 3-part prescription to another EDH pharmacy. All three drugs were apparently in stock & filled within two hours. I suspect that there may be a supply acquisition problem or an inventory management problem at the Latrobe CVS. Regardless of the reason, I am no longer having prescriptions filled there. read more

I've used dozens of pharmacy's as I move around California and don't I have 1 complaint to make about this pharmacy. It seems there is always an issue with needing preauthorizations for medications (the doctor's office problem, not the pharmacy's), and they are always on top of it and make sure I get the medication when I need it. For those reviews complaining about the prescriptions not ready or not filled.... it's your doctor's mistake, not the pharmacy's. I work in the same shopping center as them and I am able to be in and out within 15 minutes to get my prescriptions picked up on my lunch break. The pharmacy employees are incredibly cordial and helpful, and they recognize me every time and make sure to say hi. read more

I've attempted to get 4 rx's filled separately over the last 2 months. 1 was filled same day. The other three, pharmacy didn't have the medication. All are very common medications. When I asked the pharmacy tech if they ran out of meds often he told me to put in for refills nearly a week in advance. For those who don't know, pharmacy suppliers deliver within 24 hours. This shows this pharmacy has trouble with inventory control. They also process my insurance in a way that some how puts a hold on it where I have to call my insurance to verify that I do not have another insurer so I can get my meds. I will be going somewhere after this. I don't care that this place is so convenient for me. I'm done. read more

Love the new location! Even though the pharmacy isn't located within the town center anymore, it's still only about a block away or so. Plus, this pharmacy now has a drive thru, which is super convenient for the elderly and those with children. The store is spankin' new - very organized and clean. I stop in at CVS in EDH periodically. Checkout counter has always been slow, but yesterday was the worst. I was the only person in line, but the cashier was down at the photo counter. I know she saw me waiting, but it took almost 5 mins before she made her way up to checkout and rang up my purchase. On another occasion, there were 6 people in line and it was going slow. Another employee (and I believe his nametag identified him as "supervisor" or something like that), walked over and stood watching the lone cashier slowly handle the line. I though he was going to open another checkout line, but instead he just stood there. El Dorado Hills customer service is terrible. It always seems there are never enough employees working the floor and the cash registers. I'm done with shopping there. read more

The 2 stars is for the friendly staff, I don't believe they are the problem. I believe it's poor management. Every time I go to pick up my prescription there's always a problem or it takes them ONE HOUR to fill when everywhere else is at most 30 minutes. Like I said it has to be a management issue in the pharmacy because the employees can only control so much until it's out of their hands. read more

There is one employee in particular (male) that is consistently rude and every time you ask him a question, it's like you are annoying him. Sorry dude, I was just asking where the bread is. This is one of 3-4 chain pharmacies local to me. I was excited when they became a UPS pick up location. However, the honeymoon period quickly wore off as I found the staff unwilling to help, leaving me standing, waiting, in clear view of at least two cashiers at any given time. More than once I provided tracking numbers, with confirmation of delivery (and names of who signed) only to be told, "it's not here yet". If this is a service offered by the chain as a whole, I wish they would better embrace this. I too have noticed this location is a ghost town, understaffed. This needs to be addressed, and if turnover or lack of applicants is the root cause, this should be investigated further. read more

This CVS pharmacy is constantly understaffed any time of day, period. Today I was told one hour. Fine, came back 2.5 hours later and prescription had not been started. Have to be up at 430a and still waiting after 20 minutes.They aren't equipped to handle drive through traffic, either. I have 10 other options for pharmacies. Moving on. I came to this CVS with my little sister to get Halloween candy. A lady named Shelby rang us up. It was suppose to be 5 packs of candy for $15 dollars, however the transaction came to I've $22. I asked the cashier why the order didn't come to $15 & She was extremely rude when I asked her why. She turned the screen to me & said," Does it look like it tells me why". First of all, it's your job to help us figure out what went wrong. If we grabbed the wrong candy fine, but HELP US UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED! So maybe next time do your job. Considering the limited staffing that CVS allows per store, the employees of this El Dorado Hills location go out of their way to assist their customers. I have noticed this on numerous occasions. Honestly if I could leave 0 stars I would. This pharmacy is so understaffed, it's ridiculous. I called at 11am and was put on hold for 15 minutes. I was finally able to talk to someone. I transferred my prescription from another store. They told me go give them an hour. I told them I would be there at 330 and they assured me it would be ready. I showed up at 430 (I purposely told them I would be there earlier than I would to make sure it was done) and by 430 they asked me to give them another half an hour. I don't understand this store. I have literally never had problems like this with any other store. Every time I call I am on hold for AT LEAST 15 minutes. They need to figure their crap out. I'm sick of this store. read more

I shop at CVS for many of the over-the-counter medicines we need when I am in that area of El Dorado Hills. Their new location is well organized and much better than their location in central Town Center. I don't go here too much simply because of the location but if it works for you, would be a good location to stop. read more

BE CAREFUL and review your prescriptions before you drive away from the window. They won't refund. WATCH OUT for auto refill of your prescription. It can get added to your profile without you knowing. You may find a prescription does not work for you and they will auto refill anyway. My wife trusted she was picking up the prescriptions I ordered but auto refill included a $47 item I did not want. CVS will not work to fix the problem. I'm stuck with this. Several of my calls where not returned by the pharmacy Manager and the Distric Manager. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS. read more

I'm giving this location two stars because one lady helping me today was nice. If it wasn't for the nice cashier this would be a one star review. The manager was very rude and condescending. I needed to add money to a bank account and it is a service that you can do at CVS for a fee of $4.95. I forgot that it was that you could add cash to a debit account/prepaid and I was trying to do it debit to debit card. Cashier didn't know how to do it and called her manager. Manager said that it was not possible. I told her that I deposited money several times before at that location and she asked "Are you sure?" as if to say I was lying. I have been there a few times before to do this, just forgot the procedure of pulling out cash. She then shoved some paper at me saying "see this here says we do not do debit to debit just prepaid card loading." I would not reply to that because clearly there was no debit to debit service but there was a service that they should have known about especially the manager. When the cashier finally figured out how to do it, she said oh you can only deposit cash. I said then let's take out cash. The manager said in a very demeaning tone, you need to buy something to do that. I said I already planned to buy gum. There is a service fee to use the adding money to feature so technically I was purchasing a service that they provided so she didn't need to take issue with me supposedly not spending money at her store. She caused a scene and embarrassed me. Not cool. Next time...give your customer the benefit of the doubt and try not to treat them in a condescending way. read more
