I have to drive from the 1871 El Camino Real location in Burlingame to this one but what I will tell you is this it was worth the drive when I explained to Michael that his colleagues at the 1871 El Camino Real Store where is equipped unwilling to assist me and my money orders refusing to go get the manager to assist me in getting a money order he was the complete and total opposite his bright and exceptional smile his intellectual discourse and it's disarming disposition and smile made my experience most Exquisite I highly recommend this particular store and that anyone who comes to the store seek out Michael he is awesome take care cheers read more

Horrible Pharmacy, I dropped my prescription off on Monday at about noon and I came back today (Tuesday) and the Pharmacist tells me that, "I can't find your medication, are you sure you brought it to this CVS." No, I took it to the CVS on the moon. I was so frustrated that I wanted to scream. Finally, after 20 minutes of back and forth and another 30 minutes of her searching she finally found my meds. And this woman never apologized or anything, she acted like she never basically accused me of lying about where I dropped off my script. Honestly, I am chiming in because of a great experience I had today. But I took a minute to read the other reviews, and I cannot disagree enough! I shop here often, usually some weird last minute request (I work nearby as an admin assistant). The staff here has always been helpful and friendly: checking stock for me, offering replacements for things they don't carry, suggestions for where to find what I need, and just generally giving great service. During peak times, I sometimes have to wait but I expect that between the hours of 2 - 6 (when kids get out of school and people get off work). I find the team members here are overall dedicated to making my experience a pleasant one, and they carry a wide variety of items. They don't always have exactly what I need, but they always have something to get me through the moment. Right down to that last bag of ice! read more

This CVS is big and well stocked.. I enjoy their sales that they have, a lot better than Walgreens.. they do get you though.. by having you sign up for their savings card just to get sale prices.. its worth it though. I also stumbled upon a store in connection to CVS... "H2o"? its a beauty store that reminds me of sephora.. they have brands like vincent longo... and other ones.. it was pretty cool. read more

Everyone is nice and professional. I used to go here back in the day it was Longs Drugs. I still miss Longs. A few of the employees from Longs Drugs are with CVS. Always nice to see familiar faces. The Pharmacy staff knows my mom all to well so when I pick up her meds on her behalf they always ask me to say hello to my mom. read more

Phil (I think he was the manager?), was horrible during my shopping experience here a few weeks ago. I wanted to purchase multiple quantities of the same item. He told me that he would limit me to 4 items and that he couldn't put any items on hold for me. There were no item limits in the ad and they had plenty of stock, so it seemed like he was making this rule on the fly. When I told him that there was no limit in the ad, he straight up said to me "it doesn't matter, I am limiting you." Please, avoid Phil at all costs. read more

I am so irritaded. I dropped of an RX with Karen at the pharmacy. She not only did not put my information in, she put it under the wrong person. When I mentioned I drooped it off with Karen yesterday she said she would never do something as not put my correct information in. Then I had to wait 30 mins for her to fix her mistake. Never again will I drop something off here. Not to mention I ended up being 30 minutes late for my doctors appointment because of her mistake. read more

Oh man. I can't believe what they did to this place since CVS took over. Odd layout, less merchandise, higher prices and overall cheap dollar store feel. And carpeting in a drug store??? Yeah I wonder how long that's going to stay clean. Have been coming to this place since the 80s and am going to miss what a first class drug store it was when Longs owned it. What a shame. The Pharmacy denied my HEART medication because their Pharmacist was out to lunch and I needed a consult. Here is the kicker...It was the same medication that I had been taking for the past 8 months. The process is for NEW prescriptions, and obviously this was not a new prescription. I had explained due to a delay in the medication already (a day late) I had not been able to take my heart medication, the manager did not care, he told me to shop around the store until the Pharmacist got back to lunch. I come in here whenever I'm in the mood for a drugstore makeup splurge. They have almost every single drugstore brand and always have some kind of special or discount. Great selection of false lashes too. The best part is that they carry NYX cosmetics. I love this brand and it's generally hard to find. The only other place that carries them is ULTA , but they mark up the price tremendously there ( $2-3 more expensive then at Longs). read more

What a disappointment CVS is. I really miss the old Longs store. It had a very welcoming feeling which CVS doesn't have. It was clean and well organized. CVS has cases of beer and liquor stacked on the floor. It gives the store a really "junky" look. Many of the items Longs used to carry are gone, like my favorite incense sticks. I asked why and I was told that they were purchased through "outside suppliers" (whatever that means) and CVS does not want to deal with outside suppliers. Well, CVS, if you don't want to deal with outside suppliers because it's too much trouble, then I don't want to deal with you. read more

This store is so fortunate to have inherited the amazing employees from Long's. Lulu and Julie are amazing. Frankly, they have a great staff. I come here for shopping, lottery or just to say "hi" as I am on my way to the gym or coffee. My experience with this store has been fantastic. My son required a special and very expensive formula. They only kept 2-3 cans in stock. I had asked the manager if he could order more and I assured him I would buy it all. Finally with Julie's help she had another manager order me 12 cans and they called me as soon as it arrived. I really appreciated the effort to go above and beyond, After the order a healthy flow of replenishment would arrive and true to my word I bought it all. read more

I think it's pretty goofy to write a review for a chain drugstore, but I'm gonna do it anyways, just because I'm such a fan of this place. Why it's great: 1) The beauty supply section. Huge. Tons of makeup, shampoo, body spray, face soaps, mirrors and other doo-dads. Enormous selection. PLUS -- they have a policy where if you try a product and don't like it, you can return it! How cool is that? (And they don't stick those thick creepy Walgreens theft-protector stickers on the sides of the products, that you have to continue to look at for the entire time you have it at home.) 2) And unlike Walgreens -- I have never seen anything in a locked cabinet -- so I don't have to hunt around for an employee to get me the jumbo bottle of Advil or a $4 toothbrush. (Why does Walgreens make it soooo difficult??) 3) Big liquor selection. Wines & spirits. Sure -- it's all the mainstream stuff, but they have a good variety, and they have a lot of good sales. I get all my mixer booze here. (BIG BONUS: They have a sign at the registers saying that they card anybody who looks under 40. So this is now the only place that I get asked for ID any more -- and I tell ya, it makes me happy!) 4) Big gardening section... seeds, hoses, gloves, fertilizers, plants out front... really -- a surprisingly big section. 5) Lots of electronics! Need a clock radio? Bet they've got seven to choose from. 6) They're inside Bayhill Shopping Center -- home to several nifty restaurants, a Molly Stone that I frequent regularly, and a Starbuck's. They're also right around the corner from the entrance to 280, and a few blocks away from the entrance to 101. Totally convenient. As for the staff -- there are lots of employees stocking things and available for questions, everybody has always been completely friendly to me, and the vibe there is just a nicer more homey one than that of any Walgreens that I've been to. So there you have it -- my homage to a chain drugstore. UPDATE: I've since been to three other Longs -- NONE of which I thought was special in any way. So my review stands as JUST for this Bayhill store, and not necessarily for the chain in general. read more

I am not a fan of CVS in South Bay but this CVS seem to be well-stocked , very organized with lots of open counter. I am a fan, 4 stars.

This is a larger Longs, the snacks, drinks, and pharmacy sections are larger than most Walgreens. The photo section is pretty good. They do 1 hr., and send out for film, and have a couple of those instant digital print kiosks. Prices are the same as any Longs, and it's close to sbux, mollie stones, and jamba juice, very close to 280 and El Camino. read more

I love this Longs Drugs. They carry everything- health and beauty products, cards, office supplies, lots of CANDY, FOOD items, and even has a REFRIGERATED section. Everything you see in a Sunday ad for sale, this Longs has. It's big, customer service is great, and they even sell stamps!!! How cool is that!!! read more

Never thought I'd be saying this about a drugstore but I love this CVS! I get my inner old lady groove-on when I come in here. Lemme splain. The pharmacist (I think he's the head guy) is the calmest and most patient person. He is very knowledgeable and will search his inventory for the best generic options available when requested. He is also price conscious for the customer, which I truly appreciate. The pharmacy is quicker at filling new prescriptions than other pharmacies. However, I do love using this time to browse the aisles. It's not particularly the fanciest place but they have got a ton of merchandise and regular sales on everything from booze and junk food to vitamins and toiletries. Their buy-one-get-one-free deals are great! You can also get 2% back with their Extracare store card. They give out coupon receipts regularly - get $4 off $20 worth of most merchandise, which comes in handy for their higher end drugstore cosmetics (they carry La Roche Posay and the like). Meds, coupons, sales, face creams - that's what I'm talking about! read more

I like CVS and their extra care bucks system. If you play your cards right, then you can save some dough. As soon as I enter this store, I scan my extra card card and await the coupons in anticipation. This particular CVS is great because of its plentiful space. It's not too large like the one in south city, but not too small either so that there's ample space to shop and not bump into people. The employees are also very courteous. I think management makes them walk around and check in on customers to see if they need help with anything. read more

By far the worst customer service I have ever received. I work in Customer service all day and the fact that the store manager and Pharmacy manager were both beyond rude baffles me. Instead of helping me complete the business that I was calling in regards to, they kept transferring me back and forth to each other. The store manager James even went as far as cutting me off and rushing me off the phone. When dealing with a professional to a professional, I would expect a store manager would be a little more courteous to who he is interacting with. Telling me I need to call back and hanging up on me is not ok James. Perhaps a nice explanation of your situation and requesting I call back at a better time would be more professional. read more

I really like this particular CVS. The people are pretty cool and it's a 24 hour operation. Perfect for when you need just about anything at any time. The pharmacy is pretty quick too. Overall one of the better CVS Stores on the Peninsula. read more

The store is such a disappointment since CVS took over. First of all, layout (or "flow" in hip terms) is terrible: some aisles are left-right, some front-back, which makes it difficult to navigate. Shelving is shorter, so they have less selection and fewer items. Restocking is shameful: they are frequently out of fairly common items (probably due to the shorter shelving issue). I agree with reviewer below, Alba is nice but sooooooo slow (hmmm, CVS, Checkers Very Slow). The other checkers aren't much better - they all look unhappy. Longs rocked - you could find drugstore items, food, gardening/bbq tools, toys, electronics, picnic supplies, etc., all in one place. Will be going to Target in the future, even though this store is 5 min. from home. read more

I had a great first time customer experience here. Super friendly and helpful staff. A line of just two people formed at the pharmacy and a new staff member came over to help. They called other customers by first name. The store is convenient to get to, has lots of close parking. I'm a refugee from the horrid 24-hour Walgreens in Daly City (on my last and final visit there, I waited in line for 30 mins while one customer after another, told that their prescription was lost/incomplete/unfinished, screamed at the pharmacy staff). So a place this nice (clean floors, smiling staff) seems like it must be in an alternate universe. This is the 4th(!!) pharmacy in the area I've tried, and the only one I'll return to. read more

To my surprise, I am giving this place 5 stars based on my experience about a month ago. They get 5 stars because when I walked in, I was acknowledged, greeted, given eye contact and was asked for help by literally every staff worker there. Wouldn't you agree that's outstanding service? Where have you been all my life CVS??? I grew up in SF surrounded by Walgreens and Rite Aid, (or as I remember, Thrifty hehe). When I moved to this area, I felt I thought I was in drugstore heaven. Oh how I love this ExtraBucks which remind me of winning a jackpot on the slots! Of course I want $4 ExtraBucks and 20% on deodorant and body wash. Their staff is definitely a plus! CVS has the best nuts! The low salt cashews, the chocolate covered almonds and/or cashews are amazing. Don't get me started on the honey roasted mixed nuts, delicious! All at very reasonable prices, especially when they are on sale. I have to make a "nut run" from Pacifica every so often so we can stock up! read more

I come here 5 out of 7 days a week... NO lie! Diapers, hair dye, food, etc. I always get treated with courtesy and asked if i need help. Everyone is friendly and willing to help even if you know what you want, they try to help anyway. I am reviewing the pharmacy at San Bruno Bayhill cvs. i am not really sure if it a procedural problem or if the employees aren't doing their jobs. I made the mistake of leaving a prescription here, and am stuck using this store until it runs out. This is a once a month problem, you think after the first time they would correct their problem. Before going on a trip, I picked up a prescription at this pharmacy. When I got to my destination, I realized the prescription wasn't "mixed" like it was supposed to. It was still in powder form. I had to look for a CVS asap to mix it for me because it was medication I badly needed. Because of this experience, I never went back to this pharmacy. read more

where's my Longs? Although I still have my Alba & a few other Veteran employees,the store is not good.I used to be able to walk in anytime & go right where I needed to go & find whatever I needed to find & now,ugh! I hate the layout. I know no one else cares of this-but when I come to get my husbands' cigs,they are almost always out. The aisle set up is lousy.Pharmacy personnel except for Tara (where is she?) seems to be like- "lights are on & no one's home!" on the telephone,there is no friendly neighborhood personality, I most recently dealt with Kendra and after a little coaxing (asking about her mascara) I got a friendly reply. She'll most likely know who I am now,but ,I miss ,miss,miss,my old Longs Drugs.My son's friends used to work there for years & the overall atmosphere of the Longs concept was so much more personal.I think for prescriptions,I'll more than likely go elsewhere mostly due to hours,as I've recently had 2 major surgeries & when I found myself out of my meds this past weekend,found that on sunday the pharmacy closed at 6p while I was awaiting my doctors return from his ski trip.. sorry,but I'm being honest,CVS vs.Longs -why fix what wasnt broke? read more

I've been going to this store for years. It's close and convenient, but I'd love to come here at least 2 times in a row without there being a problem at the register. If there are more than 2 people in front of you, chances are you're going to be waiting while one of them has a problem checking out. read more
