The Pharmacy staff at this location is AMAZING! Every time I've come to refill, they've been friendly, extremely helpful and look genuinely happy to be working as a team and assisting customers. This location is out of the way from where I live, but anytime I've filled a prescription, I havent had an issue. Major shout out to Eoam(I hope I'm spelling your name right. I apologize if m not). Covid and flu vaccines done! It was my first time going to Walgreen's for a vaccine, and I had a fantastic experience at the Westborough location. The staff were very professional and efficient. Brenna gave the vaccine, and she was absolutely wonderful. I barely felt the injection. She was very gentle. She was professional, courteous, and friendly. She treated me like family! I gladly transferred my prescription services to CVS in Daly City. They have a more quick and convenient pick up service, this Walgreens does not. My main problem with the Westborough location is they are severely understaffed and there are always long lines for prescriptions and even for the regular checkout counters. They are also lacking in stock of basic things like face towels and wash cloths. read more

The pharmacy will always say the prescription was just sent in even if it was sent in hours prior! Some of the pharmacist are helpful when it comes to insurance coverage medication. I do like it's open 247. Sadly majority of the workers seem exhausted and overwhelmed. I went to pick up a prescription that I got a notice all of them were ready. Waited in line. Was told one won't be ready for another 30-45min. What's the point of having the app to tell you the progress and notifications??!! Hopefully they can have a better system where the staff and clients are happy. I also would feel better if they left something to sterilize the keypad. You have to enter your phone number to verify that you're picking up the prescription so many people are sick there and I don't think it gets cleaned in between. The worst pharmacy! The wait for meds is at least 20-30+ mins even when it's not busy and no line. Signed up for text updates, never got an update so went back in line just to have the staff grab all the meds while I waited at the counter. I don't understand why she couldn't do that 30 mins ago. Worst Walgreens on the peninsula. Everyone barely speaks English and will make you wait over an hour just to tell you that they don't have your medication in stock. DO NOT transfer your medications here ESPECIALLY if you are used to the customer service Rite Aid used to provide. I can not stress enough how garbage the pharmacists here are. They can't answer questions and won't fill a prescription sent by your doctor unless you call them or show up in person even though they have had it in their system for 8 hours. Awful, just awful. I like that this pharmacy is open 24 hours and they generally always have my prescriptions in stock. What I really dislike about this pharmacy is their complete disregard for patient privacy. They are constantly announcing everyone's prescriptions to the entire pharmacy because for some reason they are incapable of lowering their voices. It happens every time I go to this particular pharmacy. Everywhere else I go keeps their volume at a normal level. Today, I was at the end of the line and one of the women kept announcing everyone's prescriptions so loud, that I knew what everyone came there to buy and could assume what medical condition it was for. That's not right. When it was my turn at the window, I was relieved that she didn't announce my prescription out loud and instead announced the $1k price out loud. But then the pharmacist came over to review and loudly announced TWO of my prescriptions out loud even though I was only picking up one. It's just not necessary. I already had to say my first and last name out loud and confirm my address, and now the pharmacist announces my prescriptions. It's ridiculous. There's no reason anyone should hear other people's prescriptions even if it's something as mundane as antibiotics. Lower your voices and act like you care about patient privacy. read more

Admittedly Walgreens is dealing with all of the customers who are moving their drugs from Rite Aid to Walgreens but the whole process would be a lot better if (1) Walgreens pharmacy acted like they cared, and (2) when there's a problem with a drug if they would just give an honest answer instead of just giving the easiest answer. My spouse and I had to jump through hoops to get our prescriptions moved to Walgreens. We contacted them by phone two or three times and each time were told that the prescriptions were now "moved". My spouse finally went down to this Walgreens and was told by a (nice) pharmacist that it still hadn't happened but they would make it happen now, and it did. So we got lucky and got someone who knew what they were doing and cared. I called to make sure that a special prescription was being refilled and was assured that it would be but that it was out of stock and would be ordered ("out of stock" is code for "not here in our store" but that usually means it just takes an extra day to get it). I was assured it would be in stock within a day or two at most. Nope, every day I'm assured that it will be another day or two, day after day. One person at the pharmacy told me that there was a supply problem from the manufacturer; called the manufacturer and was told they didn't have a problem. Called another day and was told that the person who handles the orders was on break but they'd call me back as soon as they returned. Nope, never happened. My spouse went down there to see about his medications and talked with someone at the pharmacy who made it plain that they couldn't care less; this woman literally shrugged her shoulders. When I was paying for my items, the cashier had some trouble with my order. She asked me to wait while she called her manager. Her manager was so rude to the cashier! She looked at her then ignored her request for help and continued to ring at least 2 other people in line. I waited for 5 minutes as my cashier was trying to ask her manager again and again for help. The manager came over, clearly annoyed, and barely tried helping. She eventually said "I can't do anything about it" after maybe 15 seconds trying to troubleshoot. She said I have to pay or leave my items. So disappointed in the terrible customer support at this store and the poor way the manager treats her employees! read more

Honestly surprised by all the negative reviews because this is a pretty solid Walgreens to go to. This store is in a pretty convenient location for me as I live half a mile away. The parking lot is a pain to navigate through and is always hectic and there's some tight turns. Sometimes it can be hard to find parking in peak hours, but once you walk in the store I never had a bad experience. I got my Covid booster shot here also and the staff were also very nice and made the process easier for me. Then I got ice cream from their wide selection afterwards. Every time I go the cashiers are also friendly and greet me. They also had Squishmallows when I went so that's cool too. read more

I wanted to support Walgreens as I was a previous employee. However I came in to buy eye drops. It's all locked up so I press the button twice and asked an employee to open it. No body came to open it in the 10-15 min that I was standing there and I wasn't about to keep waiting. I ended up buying on Amazon same day shipping. Went here a handful of times and I've never had a bad experience, the line moves slow since they usually only have one person up there but oh weellllll... Me and my partner went at night time and we were just checking out the makeup isle when I noticed a staff member passing by, not a problem right? Well, he continues to follow us. Passed by us three times in the makeup isle, we continue to the medicine isle and oop, who's right next to us? The same person. We walk towards the middle of the store and it was nice to not have anyone following us, but then I spoke too soon because guess who's back with us in the snack isle!! A big Walgreens with all the inventory I'm looking for plus updated decor - this is my new go to location. Everything is very clean and organized and they still have their social distancing stickers laid out here with all the staff wearing masks. The parking lot here can be a little chaotic at times as this Walgreens is located inside the very busy Westborough Plaza but luckily every time I've come, I've always been able to find parking right out front. If you are here for pharmacy pickup, I wouldn't come during peak hours as there is usually only one person at the register at a time and the line can get quite long. read more

Awful! Just went in to pick up a gift card. Cashier can't log into register. She called manager and he just stood there and spoke to her in Spanish guiding her. After 5 minutes, no acknowledgment that they are sorry. When I asked if another register was open, even though there were people at the photos area for passport pictures, manager said no and no apology. I told them I had to leave for work. I don't know why I keep going here, probably because they are right up the street from where I live. The latest here are shopping carts that you cannot takeout of the store. I have bought 2 or 3 of their water bottle packages and they are very heavy and need a cart to take them to the car. Today they said they were too busy to help me get them to the car and I would need to wait at least 15 minutes. I understand stolen carts but there are other ways to solve that problem. UPDATE 5/22/23: So I had another prescription to pick up but I had it transferred to one with a drive thru, the big one in South San Francisco (SSF) which get 5 Stars from me, they're friendly and professional not like the lazy, unfeeling, heartless people at Westborough. So I was given a PRINTED OUT RECEIPT to sign when I picked up my prescription in SSF. Soooooo why couldn't this happen at Westborough? Because they're LAZY, including the manager, and don't have common sense! LOL! - - - - - - - - - - - - WARNING DON'T COME HERE FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS OR FOR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. Very oppressive staff they're a disgrace to the medical field. I have Covid and I bought a test kit and ordered my prescriptions. I was at Curbside #1. They don't even know the statement they put out for the customer to agree to for Courier service it says that "the patient has the right for their prescriptions to be delivered" so I think whether that be curbside or by courier it applies. I was trying to be real nice in the beginning. I explained to them I'm disabled and have covid and I don't think it would be wise for me to go inside the store. The pharmacist tells me i can have someone pick them up for me so I respond how is that different from a "Courier" or a store Employee. On the app it says courier delivery will be within an hour, so I'm thinking some secure medical delivery will deliver and so I'm parked at the curbside spot and I changed the delivery address to their address noting curbside #1. I waited from 7-9am, 2 hours. I call the manager twice, got disconnected with the first call, no call back so I call again. Then I'm told that "Door Dash" (Really??!!! WHAT THE HECK!! LOL!) doesn't deliver until the afternoon. So the supposedly trusted random courier with Door Dash would deliver my meds vs a trusted store employee who can collect my signature at the car...DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE???? I did not want my meds to be transferred again to yet another Walgreens which will take forever coz they always do! I clearly told the manager that I've filed a formal complaint with their Corporate office and I'm suing! They violated patient & ADA rights. The worst Walgreens, I don't even know why they exist. The most oppressive experience ever. So yeah everyone got a mouthful from me when I, disabled and with covid, had to go in the store. Which I was really trying to avoid. People these days are getting stupider, hard heartened, and callus. Policy plays over any kind of compassionate care or simple common sense! I however commend the s$&@/d staff as they kept their cool, I'm sure it's difficult to deal with an upset customer and I was pretty upset, who wouldn't be, really?!! Horrible pharmacy service! Really terrible. We were in line behind 2 senior citizens who can barely stand and we were waiting for 15 mins for a flu shot. When the seniors got their turn, they were told the stronger flu shot was out of stock. They couldn't have put a sign? These two could barely stand!! Then I had my vet call them for a prescription. They faxed and they called twice. These women at the pharmacy were so lazy that they just kept saying we don't have the prescription, but they can actually order it and it inlay takes a day. But they are too lazy to even volunteer that information, I was told by my vet. These are some horrible customer service for people who are helping those who are sick, frail or relatives who are sick. They are cold and rude. Just terrible. Awful! read more

This review is strictly staff related and in particular, pharmacy staff. Even when there is no one in front of you in line (which is rare, be prepared to wait in line at least 30 min), the staff are: 1) incredibly slow moving with zero urgency 2) rude 3) careless about people and their medical needs, which is ironic given it's the sole purpose of a pharmacy Every time I'm there there is an altercation with a customer and a member of the staff, and yet, it never improves. Overall, I like this Walgreens. The pharmacists, staff, etc. have been pleasant to work with. My complaint is that they no longer allow customers to used their restrooms. For seniors waiting for long periods can be challenging when the restrooms are not available. read more
