Pharmacy is good for vaccines but HORRIBLE for prescriptions! I was prescribed a 90 day supply of a medication in cream form. The last time I picked it up, I got a 30 day supply. And it was $10 for one tube. They tried to charge me $40 this time so I said "whoa! What?" She said I had to wait in the other line and talk to the other person, which I did, and when I got to the window, after all that waiting, she pointed at my card and told me to call my insurance. Thanks for that--I just love wasting time standing in line! Just to be told to call my insurer...what kind of game are they playing here? So I called my insurance today and they said "yes, that price is for the 90 day supply, and should have been 3 tubes. A single tube is $15 copay for you." So I called these asshats at CVS again and this person on the phone started cutting me off and saying that one tube is a 90 day supply--and I had to tell her I had already talked to the insurance and they said it's wrong--that it's for 30 days and should be for $15, but they were charging me for 3 tubes and giving me one! She started telling me to talk to my insurance (listen much?) and I said "I JUST GOT DONE TELLING YOU THAT MY INSURANCE JUST TOLD ME THAT THE $40 COPAY IS FOR 3 TUBES, AND THAT A 90 DAY SUPPLY IS 3 TUBES!!!" She kept insisting it was what the insurance was saying--though I've just gotten off the phone with the insurance. I'm waiting for my provider to call me back and I'm switching to Costco pharmacy where three tubes is estimated to be about $35. Screw this place! Never again!

Atttttittuuuuuuudddddeeeeeee! Wow I didn't get the woman's name from the pharmacy but please quit! I can't imagine the older customers that dare to call with a prescription or question! Unfortunately this is the nearest CVs to my new home so I have no choice! Please fire her asap!

Impossible to get someone on the phone for a non-medication question. The automated system never puts you through to a real person.

I believe that they have great costumer service, like what the other reviewer says these employees get paid minimum wage plus dealing with grouchy/rude costumers makes their job even worst as it is.

I was picking up an eye ointment that was quoted for over $280 but when I arrived I was told that Rachel found a coupon for the medication and I ended up only paying $80.26!!! She definitely did not have to do this for me and I'm very thankful that she took the time to look for this. They also checked other CVS' within a 20 mile vicinity for my other medication that they did not have before I even asked them if they were able to. Great service!

I miss when the pharmacy inside Target was actually owned and operated by Target…read more The difference was noticeable. Customer service was better, the staff seemed happier, and they actually recognized you by name. There was a level of familiarity and personal attention that seems to have disappeared since CVS took over. Now, the experience feels increasingly corporate and focused on cost and efficiency rather than the individual patient. Have you ever been taking the same medication for a while, only to suddenly notice that the pill has changed color, shape, or appearance? The active ingredient may still be the same, but the manufacturer may have changed, which also means the inactive ingredients can be different. For someone who is sensitive to medications, those seemingly minor changes can make a real difference in how your body responds. If you notice a problem, you can file a complaint and have it reviewed based on your individual circumstances, preferences, and sensitivity to the change in manufacturer. In some cases, CVS may be able to repurchase or obtain the medication from the manufacturer you were previously taking. That process requires you to know that option exists and to advocate for yourself. If you're trying to get a medication you previously took and know worked well for you, you may also have to contact customer service and go through the process of having them track down that specific product again. There is also something consumers should know about. For many medications, particularly topical medications, there is an NDC number printed on the box. That number identifies the specific medication and manufacturer and can be useful when trying to obtain the same product you previously used. In my experience, however, no one at the pharmacy volunteered this information or explained that it was an option. Maybe it's an oversight. Maybe it's simply one more thing that requires extra effort. Either way, the customer shouldn't have to figure it out on their own. And then there is the customer service itself. The employees I've encountered have been rude, dismissive, and at times downright condescending. I've had multiple interactions with the same employee who consistently made me feel as though my questions and concerns were an inconvenience. There is a noticeable lack of patience and willingness to help, and unfortunately, it isn't an isolated interaction. I understand that pharmacy employees work in a demanding environment, but that doesn't excuse treating customers poorly. Being overworked may explain frustration, but it doesn't make rudeness, dismissiveness, or condescension acceptable. My advice is simple: find a good independent, locally owned pharmacy and give them your business. Transferring your prescriptions is generally straightforward, and your primary care provider can send new prescriptions directly to the pharmacy you choose. That's what I did, and I have zero regrets. Consumers have more power than we sometimes realize. If a company consistently makes you feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer, you don't have to keep giving it your business. A pharmacy should be about more than filling prescriptions as cheaply and efficiently as possible. It should be about people, communication, consistency, and trust. Because at the end of the day, we're not buying widgets. We're trusting these businesses with something that directly affects our health. The consumer deserves better.

DO NOT go here unless you want to test your blood pressure threshold! By far the WORST Pharmacy…read morestaff EVER! They are super inefficient in managing the queue and all seem VERY clueless. It's always confusion and chaos. This is my 3rd instance of seeing 3 people (the pharmacist and 2 techs) assisting only 1 customer. The most recent pharmacist shows NO empathy at all for the patients and clearly does not want to be there (the previous one was AWESOME). 1 out of the 3 techs I've interacted with was curteous and knowledgable, the rest seem like air-heads and always seem lost and require some serious re-training. Also, EVERY SINGLE TIME, I will receive the email or text saying that my prescription is ready. I will drive in and wait at minimum 15-20 minutes in line. When I get to the front, they tell me "it's not ready yet, come back in 20 minutes". This most recent instance, I came back 2 hours later. They said "oh, we needed to contact you Dr to update it", which I understand happens, but a simple COURTESY call saying that I didn't have to come back would have been nice. Instead I wasted time and gas going back and for for nothing. They literally only start working on your request when you arrive (even if you get a text saying it's ready) and then still make you wait ~20-30 minutes.

Enough days that I was worried that they might have been returned to the shelf. I called this morning and was assured they were ready for me when I arrived. So after work, I stopped by. And nothing was ready. After waiting 20 minutes and them repeatedly asking me if they could take the person behind me as they tried to get their s**t together, they still didn't have my items ready. Not only that, one was in the safe, and despite being told when I first arrived that they were just waiting for the timed safe to open, it turns out that 20 minutes later they still had not even started the process of opening the timed safe. Forget it. Hanging out at the Safeway Pharmacy all evening was not what I was seeking for my social schedule. If these people can't manage to pull together 3 Rxs that I was promised had been ready for days, then how can they be trusted to responsibly administer any Rxs at all? Walgreens may be absolute hell, but at least they administer the prescriptions when they say they will.
