Other pharmacies did not have the medication in stock so it had to be filled here. Called and was on hold for over 20+ mins with no reply. For a brief moment, someone picked up then placed me on hold again. It's as if they're waiting for you to hang up so they don't have to deal with you. Prescription is still not filled in a timely manner and I can't get through to customer service. This is BS. read more

This is one of my go-to locations for FedEx drop offs for the main reasons: 1. Large parking lot 2. Generally not too busy (always helped within 5 min) 3. Friendly staff I love being able to get in and out so I can run the rest of my errands. Most recently, the clerk was on the phone trying to patiently explain to a customer over and over again that the photo printer is broken and tried providing repeated guidance on next steps. After (me) patiently waiting for a bit, the clerk decided to multitask and get my packages scanned in while also trying to reassure the phone customer. Solid experience in my book. read more

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. The customer service was non existent and the employees were very rude and unwilling to help me. I asked to speak to the manager and I waited over ten minutes and they never came. I asked for the managers name and they refused to give it to me. 0 stars if possible. As a customer we love deals and would love to feel that we're getting a bang for our buck, but coming to this store has made me feel the latter. This store manager here is cheap and will not do price matching with their own online store even for an item below $2. When I came here I was lured by false ad of the item being $0.99. then realize in store was a lot more expensive..nearly double the cost. Checking back their website it says in fine print online purchase only but can pick up in store. But here's the catch, they want you to spend a minimum of $10 buying other junk you don't need to even process the order. This is kind of baiting thing is similar comparison to catfishing what have you in my humble opinion. So since I'm at the store I wasn't left with no other options.. Therefore, I asked for price match. It was difficult as an introvert and quiet person also midly embarrassing to be rejected in front of so many people. The other people in line behind me had actually then approached me and expressed to me how flabbergasted they were that a big chain store like Walgreens don't price match with their own online website. Upon calling Walgreens main line to check, they said it's user discretion for each store manager. Specifically this store did not allow it. So, I wouldn't come here again out of my way. This adventure has been a waste of time and gasoline. I only came here because my local store location had just shut down. Walgreens will not even price match with their competitor stores either so I really should've went to CVS since their item was at a fair cost with no apparent gimmicks. Worst customer service experience I've ever had. I brought some film rolls to get developed on December 10. I was told at least 3 weeks until they're done. It is now January 3rd almost a month later and I still don't have my photos. I tried to call the store no one picked up I tried to get a manager. I talked to him for 1 minute and never talked to him again. I'm pretty livid cause it seems none of the employees at this location are willing to look for my photos, are they lost? Who knows. I have a receipt for when I dropped them off and even with that they are unwilling to find them. I don't know what's going on and have been getting the run around for 2 days. I never received a confirmation email either. I have made a complaint about the shift lead Anita via the Walgreens customer service hot line she's very rude and condescending and obviously doesn't want to do her job. Also for even more reference I was reminded that it was Anita who took my film rolls on that day. I wonder if she even properly labeled and sent them out. Get your pick up order here! I usually never like going inside Walgreens, CVS, etc but curbside pick up is my thang! Order from your phone, clip your coupons, and have it brought to your car within 5 minutes! So much easier and faster. I've given this pharmacy a fair shot, stuck with them for years in hopes that the service would improve and they would train/ hire professional, sensible employees. Unfortunately it is one disappointment after another. I've been presented with issues, no information other than "I don't know/ do what you want". Never have I been greeted, it's always a next, what?! If you are in a field where you deal with the public, and more so, with a community that is vulnerable (because if you are in need of medication/ sick you need a little assistance and compassion) you need to be patient, helpful, and professional. If the employees are overwhelmed and taking it out on the clients, than management needs to look into relieving their stress. Whoever is in charge of recruiting at this pharmacy is performing poorly. read more

I stopped by the pharmacy today in hopes to pick up my moms medicine. The prescription was supposed to be picked up yesterday but unfortunately they were shut down. After being in line for about 30 mins. We were asked for name and phone #. The girl that was helping me out looked like she had no idea of what she was doing. She asked for assistance from someone else to whom i had to repeat the information all over again. Apparently, no information was found in their system. . My mother has been coming to pick up her medicine here all the time and we were told that they couldn't find her information. She started getting defensive when I told her i needed the medicine for my mom since she had gotten surgery yesterday and needed it for yesterday. She went to her manager and told him about the situation, he pointed at the screen and said i see nothing, instead of coming in to us explaining why we weren't giving our medicine or what we could do in that case. Photo Department-- Stay Away!! I uploaded my photo around 5pm and scheduled to pick it up at 7pm. I arrived at the store for pickup around 10 pm. When I asked the clerk to check, she said its still printing but the printer broke down so she called for service. I'm pissed because not only it was qued-up hours before but I can see the printer error message says 'out of media' which I know its just out of paper and nobody was there to check. The service guy came in and loaded the photo paper and continued printing. All it took was 30 minutes (yes, I have to stay for another half an hour) to print my 20 photos that could have done ages ago. I will never come back to this store again. Don't print your photos here. I ordered my pictures 3 hours in advance and when I went to pick it up for my same day pickup, they had nothing printed and told me to come back another day. They even lied and said they were busy when I came an hour before they closed and all of them were just in the make up aisle not bothering to print a thing the whole hour I stood there from 9 to 10. They obviously don't care about customers and have no priorities other than talking to each other. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. The doctor prescribed time sensitive medication and there was a 3-day delay. We continually called to check on the status and the doctor also called from their end to see what the delay was about. With a similar medication there was a delay due to insurance and the doctor told us that with what she prescribed there should not be a delay or concern that it would be covered by our insurance. We understand during these times that there are delays for just about everything due to short staffing and other covid-19 related delays on deliveries etcetera. So we waited a couple days to talk to someone. When we finally did talk to someone they were extremely brief with us and overall unkind as if we had been pestering them and did not offer any explanation for the delay. They told us there is a delay with insurance and told us the insurance needed to be contacted. At this point, two days waiting for when we were supposed to begin the medication, we were worried and concerned. They swiftly hung up on us without giving us a chance to ask any questions. We went to the pharmacy to pick up another medication since that portion of the order was ready and hear them calling our insurance coincidentally. The pharmacist on duty told us she was on hold with insurance and that the order would not be ready that day, no way it'd be ready. We were upset but what could we do really? We left. Once we got back home we get an automated notification that the order is suddenly ready for us... perfect timing, not! I go to pick up the medication for my wife and the pharmacist hands me the medication and warns me that I am not allowed to get any more than the dose they are giving me that day for the rest of the year. We aren't talking about a major pain killers or codeine or anything here. My wife is pregnant. Just trying to get the medication that the doctor prescribed to manage a somewhat common condition during her pregnancy. Thanks for a horrible experience, Walgreens. What is most frustrating is that there are good employees there that do a good job and provide good customer service, but definitely not true for everyone there. Save yourself the time and the hassle and just go anywhere else. read more

Worse experience I have had at a Walgreens .. I got daughter passport pic at the Walgreens at Westlake and the lady was great about it. Today, I had to pick up my son and mine.. showed cashier the $2 off coupon and all he kept saying was to enter when ordering the passport pic .. I said the lady that worked on Friday was the one entering everything. I even asked her about entering it and she said wait till I pick up then enter.. wtf.. I was looking high and low for a face mask for my caregivers. The Walgreens online website said this San Pedro Rd store had 6-9 still available. So I drove 30 mins to the store and then was told they don't have any masks when in fact their computer inventory said there were 6-9 available. I've been coming to this Walgreens for over a year and half. Prior to coming to this location, I thought that I had been to the worst Walgreens in the world (Las Cruces, NM on El Paseo. See my review.), but I was wrong. I was so wrong. First of all, I am generally here around 3:45PM - 4:00 PM on weekdays. I know that when I come here, the pharmacy will be understaffed and that I need to commit an hour of my time to picking up my prescription. I know that at least one grown adult will get frustrated and walk out. I once saw an old guy get so mad HE TORE HIS TOUPE OFF AND THREW IT ON THE GROUND. HIS TOUPE. However, yesterday was my worst experience at any Walgreens. I showed up around 3:50PM, went to the back to pick up my ready prescriptions and turn in a new prescription. I was told it would take 20 to 30 minutes. I need to use the ladies room, so I head over there - it's closed. It's been closed for months. MONTHS. So, I try not to think about it and shop. I go over to beauty where there are four employees laughing and talking and ignoring me. Then another one comes up to the beauty counter and starts yelling, "I'M A CUSTOMER. HELP ME. HELLO?!!! I'M A CUSTOMER!!" Sarcastically. I'm there for fifteen minutes and not once am I asked if I need assistance. I go and sit in the pharmacy area. 20 minutes. 25 minutes. 30 minutes. 35 minutes. ...I start watching a movie on my phone so that I don't have to think about how much I have to pee. 40 minutes. 45 minutes. I finally stand up and ask if my prescription is ready. I'm told that HELLO there are a lot of people there. Also HELLO it will be 20 more minutes. I tell her I need to use the ladies room and she says it isn't working. I drop the stuff I was going to buy on the counter and walk away. I find the (assistant) manager who tells me: 1. Pharmacy staffing isn't managed by the store. Sorry. Talk to the pharmacy manager. 2. The restroom is a problem with the landlord. While I am complaining another guy walks up who is having the same problems and is told the same thing. He tells the assistant manager that he doesn't want to hear excuses. Walgreens is a company worth $62.8/76.0 BILLION dollars and is #177 on the Forbes list (Link: http://www.forbes.com/companies/walgreen/) should have better legal resources for dealing with landlord issues and pharmacy staffing issues. Walgreen's vision: "To be America's most loved pharmacy-led health, wellbeing and beauty retailer." NOPE. From Walgreen's own site: "Each day, in communities across America, more than 8 million customers interact with Walgreens using the most convenient, multichannel access to consumer goods and services and trusted, cost-effective pharmacy, health and wellness services and advice." NOPE. The message I get from this Walgreens is that my time isn't valuable. My business is not valuable. The Major Issues: Pharmacy is understaffed. Restrooms have been unusable for months. The trash can outside is always overflowing onto the sidewalk. The employees have no interest in helping you and make you feel like a bother. The lines are long at every checkout point. UPDATE: I drove away and then when I got on the freeway and an hour and 13 minutes after I had turned in my prescription, I got a text that my prescription is ready. read more

Just got off the phone with a pharmacist which didn't seem like what she was doing. I talked to the head pharmacist in the past and they told me that one of my medications had a normal amount and the one i picked up the month after was shortened. I came back to question it and they told me that I can get the normal amount just to mention that To the pharmacist and everything will be okay but the person was just only going by what the prescription said and I told them just look at my history of medications and you'll see I am approved for it! After 5 minutes on being hold, they said okay you will get refill. I told them okay and and they were responding with attitude saying when do you want to pick it up and I said I will pick it up tomorrow clearly and they were shouting on the phone hello are you there ? I just walked in to this location on February 3, 2023 at 1PM, i had a directv stream box with it's accessories in a bix i waled over to see if could get a label printed and the guy who was there I think he is a manager he yelled at me in a very loud and rude manner, I kept telling him "ok ok" a few times telling about a code from an email that I never got from DirecTV which I told him I never got it and i was checking my email for it while he was doing something on the computer. Worst Walgreens ever. Pharmacy is the worst; they can never tell you anything, and they don't know how to properly refill prescriptions or contact doctors. They did not bother to call me one time to let me know that my prescription had an issue. Instead, I waited four hours for steroid eye-drops that I needed the same day, came in and was told that they did not have the medication in stock, nor did any of the surrounding Walgreens locations. I have stopped bothering to attempt to refill any prescriptions at this location. Cashiers are rude and unhelpful. They give you dirty looks and wont speak to you unless you're Filipino. They refuse to tell you the total for your purchases and just glare at you waiting for you to guess the price and hand over the money. One time I went and the woman was on the phone while ringing me out, gossiping to her friend. She then proceeded to throw everything into a bag, (including a 12 pack of coke, which was in a box....), and continue her conversation while I stood there looking at her. I have been using this pharmacy for over 3 years and within the last year there have been nothing but problems. I have chronic pain and get a prescription once a month for a 30 day supply of a pain medication. The last time I went in to pick up my refill they were short on the medication and were only able to give me half. Christina assured me that she would order the remainder and call me as soon as she could refill the remainder. After not hearing from her for a week I called her and she said she would not refill the prescription until I was completely out of the medication???? This made no sense and was nothing more than Christina being difficult! I went down there in person and after being treated like a drug addict going through withdrawals I was told that I could no longer use that pharmacy. I phoned my doctor from the store and he had to tell her point blank " Fill the prescription for him right away" After this incident I have no intention of ever going back there. CHRISTINA is unprofessional and loves to talk down to people especially if they have pain medication to refill. Christina has no empathy and is a person who is obviously not happy with her career choice. This Walgreens is a mess and super unorganized and dirty. I double my mask every time I have to go in that store. The homeless people outside the store are more professional than the employees. I have been going to a CVS and they are absolutely night and day compared to Walgreens. At CVS I am greeted when I walk in and all the pharmacy employees are nice and professional and the store is clean and organized. I only wish I had discovered this store sooner! read more

Had to stop using this pharmacy when they did not have several meds in stock, long lines, and rude staff. Dont bother to go there for a Covid19 shot. I finally jumped over my shadow and scheduled a Covid19 vaccination appointment. The schedule for same day was completely open (that was nice).. so I selected on 2 hours, same day.. So far so good, I filled out the online consent form and questionnaire. It stated Insurance proof not required and to show up 15min ahead of time. I showed up 16min ahead of my appointment and was chided that I was too early. Then she started to get my ID and updated her system. After that she asked for my insurance card. (I have no idea where mine is, I have been on lock down and dont carry mine in my wallet) So I pointed her to the information on the website that insurance was not required. She denied this being the truth and guess what? No shot for me lol. I am already not keen on getting the shot in the first place, at this rate, I will not bother with one until the end of the year when I need to go back to the office. DO NOT come to this walgreens if you need to fill Rx at Pharmacy. My mother just had knee surgery and need Rx asap. Hospital had release my mother at 4:30pm. When I got to this walgreens there wasn't any parking, then inside and there was a huge line and one person handling all transaction. It took me 50 mins just to get to the front of the line. Then pharmacist stated that Rx wont be fill until tomorrow because would need prior authorization from dr , even after showing the Pharmacist my mothers discharge forms. Pharmacist call the dr office once as I watched her then she stated she could not get a hold of dr and said theres nothing she could do. WOW!!! I could believe that Pharmacist would deny Rx until the next day even after providing discharge papers. After get upset and load with pharmacist, I decided to call dr office. I got a hold of dr within 30 mins and waited just for Rx to be filled after 2 1/2 hours. Horrible wait time and Horrible customer service. I would NEVER recommend this walgreens for Rx. read more

Unfortunately, this is the closest walgreens to my new home after I got married. I used to go to the 24 hour Walgreens at westlake Center in Daly City & have NEVER had a problem. This walgreens on the other hand lacks compassion, customer service, & sense of urgency. I've had several problems with this Walgreens: 1) 9/2017 photo lab could not take a decent passport photo. Their passport photo is located in the snacks aisle across the frozen foods section. Needless to say there is no natural lighting or barely even store light that would allow for a good colored photo. After she took, I explained she needed to re-do it because I knew for sure that the passport agency would not accept it because it is not up to their standards & could not afford any delays. She was upset that I asked if she could re-do or lighten the photo. It looked like grey person on a white background & still insisted I pay for it. I said I was definitely not paying for grey & white colored photos that are unusable. 2) 4/2018 after being discharged from the hospital after surgery, my husband & I stopped by to pick up my meds for post-op recovery. They shuffled us from one line to the next, which by the way were not close to each other & after surgery I was still weak) only to tell us that we needed to come back after having us waited already 30minutes. I had to be there since they were prescribing oxycodone, which is a narcotic) & had to present myself with an ID. My husband ended up coming back 3 hours later..I basically waited that long for my pain meds. TERRIBLE 3) Today, 5/2018 I called to ask if my prescription was ready & was told it would be available following day. It was definitely needed that day. I asked if they could ask the 24 hour pharmacy at westlake because it was urgent. She called back 20 minutes later only to say they did have the prescription available. I think they are just lazy and when she took the time to look that's when she found it. Secondly, I asked about a vaccine shot and they said they had it available & that I would be able to come anytime because I asked if I needed an "appointment" just to get an idea when the best time would be and they said no. That gave me the indication that ANYTIME is a good time. I came in at 815pm to pick up my meds and asked for the shot as well. Lady said to come back tomorrow because the pharmacist was going on break. I explained I worked the following day and that it would be the same issue because that would be the same time I would be available. Now the pharmacist talks to me & is insisting I come back following day because she has to go on break and that they were closing. In CA, by law breaks are normally only 10-15minutes so I asked if she can do it when she came back. Apparently, she can't because they were closing. Most vaccines I get take about 2-5minutes. If she went on break at 825/830 she would have been back by 845 the latest & do my shot & be done by 850pm for them to close. I don't understand why it's difficult for people especially in the health industry to simply just care & go a little above and beyond. Is it really too much to ask? Management definitely needs to step it up and get the store together because it's clearly not just one department that's lacking in customer service. I really want to give this store a chance since it's walking distance to home, but if quality of service will continue to be like this, then it's worth the 7minute drive to the westlake Walgreens. read more
