Although we have lived nearby this Rite Aid station in Pacifica for some years now, even practically next door at one point, we just recently started to go to this store. Situated in a corner spot of the Fairmont Center, there is plenty of parking in the shopping center's lot. This location of the American drugstore chain is also conveniently neighbours with other retailers such as Safeway and DOLLAR TREE as well as eateries like Bolare Trattoria & Restaurant and Guerrero's TAQUERIA 2. Inside, the venue is always brightly lit, fairly clean, and tidy. Service here has been stellar and is the reason why we return again and again. The pharmacy team is one of the best around. I called on October 8, 2024 to inquire about certain immunizations. Jackie/Jacquie (sp?) was extremely helpful, looking up if my insurance would cover a shot and ordering the vaccine to be in on time for my previously scheduled appointment to get done with my other vaccination. Ever since we started going here for COVID-19 boosters, this has been the place to get subsequent shots because Daniel Chang is #1 in my book - he is very informative, has a way of making you feel comfortable before getting injected, and is so gentle with the needle. We will make sure that we schedule all inoculation appointments with him. Yes, that's how awesome he is! Of course, following tradition after receiving shots, we treat ourselves to ice cream. Yay, Rite Aid has a Thrifty ICE CREAM counter!! Yes, they give free sample tastings and their scoops are still in cylinder shape, too! At our most recent visit on Thursday, October 10, 2024, Tebo served us our ice cream with a friendly smile. I think that we will go here more often. read more

After being on hold for 59 min I got hung up on. I don't live in town so want to make sure before drive 30 min in said I was #1 in queue then I wasn't then disconnected. I went there only to find out they did not have this type of medication 45 seconds on the phone and I could have it cleared up all they want to say is not our fault we are short handed if you know anybody send them our way. First I am not recruitment for rite Aid second probably could do a better job. Was told the pharmacy manager was off I used to be a manager on salary plus bonuses and when I did not have enough employees guess what I would have to work. Now asked for store manager she said they don't take complaint for the pharmacy I tried to get some answers but quote " you are being disruptive please leave and don't come back I will let pharmacy that you are not allowed here" You are driving the locals somewhere else and will be dependent on just the tourists. Went to this RiteAid for the first time one evening recently for a vaccine and some shopping. It was fairly late do not a lot of other customers there. Every staff person we interacted with was absolutely lovely, professional, friendly and helpful, including the pharmacist and the man at the checkout counter. Will definitely return. read more

Not sure why people found this place to be not to their pleasure? Rite Aid are in general an older and tend to be used less and less. This place seems to be experiencing similar issues due to the Dollar Store and the Newer Safeway. You would do well, if you do not write off this Rite Aid! It could use a little modernization. But for what it lacks in appearance, it makes up completely with the heart of their customer service. I never feel the fear of being over charged, missed charge, or treated well only when I dress well. That is definitely an experience when I went to Safeway the first time when I just moved to this area. Charged for 42 items when I had less then 20. Bad cashier how could you! Not here at Rite Aid, maybe it was because of an exemplary employee at the register today. He looked nice, polite, and well mannered making my shopping at this place enjoyable and making me want to stop altogether going to the Dollar Tree or Safeway. I won't though, the deals always makes me want to give them a second chance. We tried buy online, pick up in-store for the first time at Rite Aid last night and had a great experience. The order was ready as notified within the 1 hour promise, and the whole transaction was very quick and easy. But what really made the experience so pleasant was John, the associate that helped us. He was so nice, funny, and easy to talk to. We really enjoyed our conversation with him, even if it was only for a brief moment. While we didn't order ice cream, the man at the counter seemed equally lovely as well based on his interaction with the customer ahead of us. When the Doctor sends you home from the hospital and your ride takes you to Rite Aid to pick up your prescription and you are told there is a half hour waiting period before you can get what the doctor called in hours ago, THAT'S BULL SHIT!!!! if you are in a condition that you can drive yourself, or come back in a while, or sit around without passing out or throwing up that's one thing, but what if you live 70 miles out of town, or you're in serious condition?? Is it Rite Aid company policy to see your face before they start to fill your prescription? Great customer service experiences every time I have come to this Rite Aid. I usually come by to pick up my Rx which thy put together very quickly every time. (Less than 30 min the time I had to bring the Rx into the pharmacy to fill, that was great. Today I called to see if they had a powder "Anti Monkey Butt" the guy on the phone not only found it, he placed it up front for me to just drive over and go straight to the front. Went to Rite-Aid with my friends with intentions to get ice cream because the section is usually open until 10. The cashier at the time was a tall and heavy-set man with glasses. I asked him if the ice cream section is still open and he says, "it is not, I already cleaned the area." I then say, "don't you close at 10?" Cashier agrees. Our group was disappointed from the failed attempt because we rushed to make that 10 pm closing time, which we did make but didn't get what we intended to get. Lastly, a call on speaker was made to the store to ask what time the section closes and the lady said 10. In addition, she even says, "you guys have 15 minutes to get here before we close." The posted reviews from Joe B. And Merica S. praise the cashier named Robert complimenting his efficiency and customer service skills. Wednesday 12-21-22 11:20 am I went to fairmont Shopping Center, Pacifica Rite Aid Pharmacy I went to drop off a prescription for my daughter Maria was working on the computer next to the sign that says drop off & Maria said to me next time don't bring a hand written prescription we don't take them anymore & I said I'm sorry I didn't know & Maria said the doctor should know better it was the tone of voice & her facial expressions that Maria made was very rude, then I wait more than 30 minutes & when I get to the cash register I need to pay for my daughters prescription. In the past when my prescription wasn't covered by my insurance they would tell me right away. My son & his girlfriend went to this pharmacy with a hand written perscription from the dentist & they weren't treated this way or informed that they don't take written prescription's anymore. I have fond memories of Rite Aid in SF before they all closed, but this location is just plain bad. The store itself is huge, but the inventory is lacking. I've always come in looking for a particular mouthwash, toothbrush, pain medicine, etc, and they never carry or have it in stock while all other retailers do. The whole store is kind of sparse and doesn't have enough merchandise to fill it. You're better off going to a Walgreens or CVS. read more

To the Managers, You HAVE to stop making your cashiers be so strict on the carding policy for alcohol. I am 47 and look like Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince. I find the carding under 40 policy ridiculous as it is, but if I am getting carded then you might as well just say we card everyone. And the poor cashier felt bad but I told her I knew it was not her fault. I did not have my ID, BECAUSE I NEVER GET CARDED, so I just left with buying anything. The same thing happended to my GF the day before, and while she looks a little young for her age, she does not look 20 years younger. You need to tell upper management that you are probably losing sales over this, as are other retailers (looking at you Target) read more

I've been a customer at this location since 1978! The thrifty's Days. The Payless days etc., today I received an email advising me it was time for a refill with the pharmacy. I clicked on the hyperlink and used Rite Aid App. I was told that I needed to call the pharmacy (so I called) I was greeted RUDELY by someone named Susie, who claimed that she couldn't hear me, after, I explained why I was calling in. Obviously, she was in the middle of something, and didn't have the receiver up to her properly. I gave her a couple of seconds to get situated. I asked if she could hear me now. Susie still wasn't helpful or used any kind of etiquette. I asked her if Daniel or Jackie were available. Susie told me to hold on. 2-3 minutes on hold, Jackie gets on the line, clearly annoyed. I told her what happened, Jackie told me that Susie wasn't rude, because she was standing, right next to her! Who says that to a customer? For a year I've been exceptionally nice to Jackie, ignored her condescending attitude towards me. Today, it all went out the window. I'm not clear what's going on at this location, but, a shake up is in order. Two years ago I was in argument after paying for paper towels, with some guy named Steve. He told me that they don't honor rite aid advertisements in his store. I called, customer service, they called BS. They told me to go back in the store. I got my refund, but, no apology. Last year this same guy racially profiled my 75 year old Aunt, over clairol hair color I purchased for her. I got the wrong colors, so we brought the boxes back (unopened) to exchange them. This guy got rude with my Aunt, and I told him not to be rude, because we're asking if we can exchange it. Steve demanded a receipt, I handed it to him, my Aunt was disturbed by his attitude, and walked out! This guy Steve was mad obviously, my Aunt told me she didn't want anything out of this store. I told Steve to just issue the refund, he grew angrier. He went as far as to stare me down walking out of the store, I turned around and advised him not look at me like he was ready to fight! I'm not sure why these people are working at Rite Aid. I called the store manager today, and advised him, about the situation in the pharmacy. He told me he known Susie for years (defending her) and dismissing the customer concerns. I'm not comfortable going back to this location at this point, and transfer my prescriptions out to another drugstore. I'm thinking CVS sounds great right about now. The pharmacist manager Daniel is awesome, and I'm clueless why his staff doesn't compliment him. Please clean this location up, get friendlier employees in there. I am not coming back until it's safe. This was a really terrible situation today, and I'm taking thirty minutes to warn others about it. The ratings below three are legitimate concerns. This review is for the pharmacy part, the store is fine but I wouldn't go out of my way to review it. Specifically I'm giving this 5 stars for the young Asian lady pharmacist (im so sorry I've never gotten your name) and Daniel who have both gone above and beyond for me in the past. I suffer from chronic pain and getting the scripts filled for those of course comes with a ton of regulations, twice have my doctors messed up with either the wrong kind of script or they didnt sign it in the right place and both times it would of been impossible to see my doctors that day again....Luckily if you go to the same pharmacy all the time and never early refill you'll get help and both times they filled for me and worked out the details with my doctor the next day. Anyone who suffers from chronic pain knows even a day without your meds can be hell and I think both pharmacist knew this also so thank you guys for being so helpful and caring. read more

It's a drug store, big whoop. Yes. It is. A mighty big whoop and yippee-hooray is exactly the sound that escaped my mouth as I headed out of Rite Aid yesterday evening, toting a $5 Christmas tree. See, unlike my boss, my former schools, my mortgage loan company, and pretty much the whole world, Rite Aid rewards procrastinators. That's right, I put off buying a Christmas tree right up till the 23rd. Expecting to find only diseased, dried and depressed trees for exorbitant prices, I was happily surprised to find healthy, full, happy Christmas trees on sale for an incredible five bucks a-piece! That's the price of a nice air freshener! Which is exactly what I now have; that, plus the added bonus of springy green limbs from which to dangle shiny, sparkly things. So happy! Add in the fact that this Rite Aid rarely has lines, is stocked with essentials, and the employees are actually helpful and friendly, makes this shop one of my new favorite neighborhood go-to spots (though I don't much care for the rest of the Fairmont plaza). read more

It offers an array of popular drugstore cosmetic brands. They sell the Black Radiance line here (ladies: face primer is bomb, btw). They even have an amusing 'As Seen on TV' aisle. In addition, it offers household and personal care products. Their economical Rite Aid brand products are praiseworthy. When you reach the cash register, you will immediately notice the awe-inspiring Thrifty Ice Cream counter to your right. Oblivious me was especially thrilled during my initial encounter, as I have never seen their bargain brand ice cream counter when I lived in the South Bay. Hopefully you get the opportunity to checkout with seasoned Rite Aid cashier, Robert. The dude is consistent, efficient, and he will leave you smiling as you leave the store. I really truly hate that I have to give this location only 1 star... I LOVE Rite Aid and all the other locations I have been to. They have great deals on wine and other daily essentials. A plus about this particular location is that it was surprisingly large and updated on the inside so that was a fun thing to see upon entering. So, the reason this place gets 1 star. I came on a Wednesday night around 6. I was tired and had a poor baby with a rising temperature in my arms. I went straight to the baby section because I couldn't seem to find our thermometer at home. I was one of 3 people it seemed in the whole entire store and for some reason I felt like all eyes were on me. The eyes of the security that is. I feel like they were following me even though I literally just went from the baby section to the register. I didn't have a huge diaper bag that I could have been slipping merchandise in. All I had was my baby and small purse in hand. When I got to the register all I bought was the damn thermometer and the security guard was standing near the exit. Like he was waiting for me. I had my purse clearly open as I was trying to get my wallet out to pay, and even the super friendly man at the register asked if he could put the thermometer in my purse for me just to help me out. I was appreciative of that. When I was finished and on my way out the guard literally followed me outside and then said, "Have a good night." It was so bizarre. I have NEVER been followed in such an obvious manner before. And maybe I am being a little too sensitive because I was already having a bad day and my poor daughter was feeling under the weather, but it just seemed extremely unnecessary. Now, since I love Rite Aid and this is the only one around I will be coming back here again. Hopefully that security guard isn't around next time or I will probably have to complain in person... I love Rite Aid, mostly because of the pharmacy. I've known most of the people who work here for years, they are friendly, efficient and they actually care about their customers. The pharmacists are always happy to help me find the right medicine if I'm not quite sure what I need. As to the rest of the store, they are well stocked with pretty much everything you could possibly need from a pharmacy, and a whole bunch of things you didn't really need, but might want anyway. read more

I went into Rite Aid on the way to pick up my nephew and niece from school. I was having a pretty righteous case of heart burn and needed some Tums. I had my grandmother who has dementia with me in her wheelchair. I found the tums, the people were nice in pointing to which aisle they were on and I prepared the pay and pop a few in the car before heading to the school. I get to the clerk and reach for my wallet, which wasn't in my back pocket like usual. I left the damn wallet at home. I asked the gent if they accept Apple Pay, and with a smug little smirk, he said "not anymore". I opted to just press on to the school and hit up Walgreens, who I know accords Apple Pay. I didn't want to wheel my grandma around more that I needed too, poor thing is 93, barely 50 pounds and unfortunately fading fast. I ended up at a retailer that accepts Apple Pay. It was easy and secure. I like the technology, I often forget my wallet, and this is a good option for me. I read more online how Rite Aid and CVS have blocked usage of Apple Pay because they are about to launch their own mobile payment system that is less secure, requires your SSN, and will have the ability to access your health records. All that in order to track your shopping and lifestyle habits. That should a dangerous, and Apple Pay doesn't invade your privacy like that. I will continue shopping at places that accept Apple Pay over those that don't. I went in last week and even though the economy has taken a toll on lots of shopping centers, stores and outlets, this Rite Aid location is still my favorite. Service is good and always helpful. When I went to the check out register, the salesman asked if I wanted a "Wellness Plus" card. He said "it's free and it only takes a minute to sign up and get one." So, I did. I also noticed that with the Wellness Plus card customers earn points. Great idea, hope points earned gets more discounts and special offers. Happy to see this Rite Aid is still open and operating. I went in at 8AM to return some Christmas light before work and they were not able to refund me $7.99. The reason given was that it was too early and their registers will not allow the transaction.
