This store is located right along the beach. There is plenty of parking for customers, and the employees there are very pleasant to deal with. The store has a wide variety of groceries including organic produce and food products. The prices were much lower than other big supermarkets, but if the prices are too low, you have to check the expiration dates.

Green potatoes

The reason they cut prices on grocery items is because those items are poor quality / about to expire. We purchased a bag of idaho potatoes and a week later pulled them out of the 'fridge and they were all green. Check expiration dates and look closely at produce and meat

Grocery outlet has become one of my favorite stores not just because of the savings in prices..,but they also carry tons of different protein powders and bars .The wine selection and beer choices are ridiculously huge and different. The food choices are great as well, but when you go to Grocery Outlet outside of your town you can find even cooler things like plants and such .This store rocks..yum yum..

Thanks for being open. !!! Not a lot of vegetables but lots of wines and our favorite hamburger buns!

Just go to Safeway across the street. Rude workers and I felt that everything was disorganized. Pass.

There are some organic options, which is nice. They carry Fairlife milk and plain kefir. LIKE There's a small deli case with lots of freshly made goodies like salads, hummus and dolmas. Really nice when you don't know what to have for dinner. The meat counter looks good, although I haven't yet bought anything from it. Plenty of parking. Fast checkout. MEH Their Apple Pay only takes Visa for some reason. Not a big deal, but I'd prefer to use Mastercard.

Sun valley fine foods is the best of both worlds. There's a lot of secret bargains, but if you live in Pacifica and want fresh fruit or fresh cut meats or freshly barbecued tri-tip or just a homemade cooked chicken to impress the people from the city then this is where you should go. Please don't buy out the Mexican half liter sodas cuz I live on those. No I'm not compensated for any of this, but I secretly suspect they make a fresh pot of coffee for me when I walk in in the morning. They really don't need to do that, but it means a lot.

The Pacifica Safeway is a place I go out of convenience, not because I actually want to shop here…read more The lower prices, discounts, and big parking lot are really the only reasons I keep ending up back at this location. Inside, the store feels outdated and in serious need of a refresh. There are no self-checkout lanes, and instead everyone waits in a single line to be called to the next available register. It's an unorthodox system that technically works, but it's pretty frustrating when you only have a couple items. The understaffing is noticeable. I once had to check in at the customer service desk to retrieve a lost wallet (luckily a cashier had found it and held onto it). Even then, I waited about 20 minutes before anyone came by to help. When they finally did, they were kind and returned everything to me immediately- but the delay really highlighted how short-handed this store is on a regular basis. The cashiers themselves are consistently kind and doing their best, but it's clear they're stretched thin. The whole store feels like it's running behind what a modern grocery store should be. This Safeway could really benefit from a major facelift and, at minimum, a few self-checkout stations. Until then, it's mainly a place I stop because it's convenient- not because it's a good shopping experience.

I'm not sure why, but when I recently visited this Safeway latish (but not terribly late) on a…read moreweekend night, the parking lot was eerily empty. So empty, in fact, that I half-believed that the store might be closed for some reason. In true Peninsula-Safeway fashion, the doors I happened to park near were locked, so I had to push my cart all the way to the other end. It doesn't have a crazy design like a Marin County Safeway, but this store's layout is just different enough to frustrate me. But I mainly was confused because I didn't know where things were; the actual layout was fine. It wasn't ridiculous, and I like that the bread and hot-dog buns are in the same place, unlike in many Safeways where the bread in loaf form is separate from the hot-dog and hamburger buns, bagels, and muffins. Even this late in the day, the inside of the store was very clean. Not just the floors and the displays, but also the food itself. It was clear to me that employees often straighten up the shelves, and I did see many people both stocking and arranging fruits and boxes and cuts of meat as I perused the store. My cashier was very friendly. I told him I was surprised at how dead it was, and he agreed that it was very unusual. He was quick to start bagging rather than waiting to see whether I would bag everything by myself. It was so dead, in fact, that he and I were about 80 percent finished bagging the $200 or so of groceries I had bought before anyone even showed up in line behind me, and his was the only manned checkout stand open. That has never happened to me at Safeway before, and I've been to Safeway hundreds of times at more than a dozen Bay Area locations. When I was loading my groceries into my car, a street-sweeping truck arrived and began hosing down and sweeping the parking lot. He kept driving right near me, too, as I returned my cart and then walked back to my car. It was strange but also reassuring. It was already a clean parking lot, and now it was even cleaner. Why was I getting groceries all the way in Pacifica? Honestly, because another, as of yet unnamed Yelper asked me about Pacifica Safeways. So there, you know who you are!

I had looked for them in the chips aisle and realized they weren't there. Or so I thought. I quickly walked over to the self checkout where Ms. Debra was stationed. After we found them, we had a wonderful 3 minute conversation about these pretzels and her world views. She talked about how some people are currently struggling during this economic time. Within our 3 minute conversation I could tell what kind of a person she is. She is very bright, kind, joyful, empathetic, smart, and caring! Everytime I come to this location Ms. Debra always manages to provide outstanding service. If management see's this, please give Ms. Debra a raise and employee of the year!
