Yikes this is one sad CVS, especially the pharmacy. I once drove 30 minutes from my doctors after she electronically sent a prescription and waited another 15 minutes for it to be filled. On another day, a goblin of a pharmacist told me they were too short staffed to fill any more prescriptions that day. What? He could've been filling prescriptions instead of wasting time rudely lecturing customers or sending them to other CVS stores. And it was a Sunday and not at all crowded. The logistics also suck. Parking lot is small and tight with speed bumps, and there is no self-checkout so be prepared to wait if there is only one cashier. Also inventory is sad...if something is on sale, expect to get one or zero of the item. Even if it's the closest CVS to you, choose another. I implore you. I am just too lazy to start over with another location. read more

I'm rather disappointed at the poor customer service at the pharmacy here. Normally I go through drive-thru but this time I had to get stuff inside too. I called online about one of them and the others I had notifications for. I got to the counter and had Esther as my cashier/tech. She was trying to rush me when there was only person behind me I line and then I inquired on another medication to which she told me it was not covered--fine, no worries. I asked about another med and she said I would have to go to the drop-off line to start that process and that she has a line to deal with. I obliged, although there were only 2 people behind me at this point. She told me to just call again to refill this particular med. I call later (after grabbing some other groceries) in the parking lot and she picks up and says she doesn't understand what I'm saying and then in a more condescending way says "yeah, you were here earlier." I state what refill I needed and that I need to check on the status of another med--which she states was not covered. She then cuts me off, says "okay?" and hangs up. I work in healthcare as nurse and this is just not how you treat patients or clients. I wasn't asking anything ridiculous and I'm sure she had a day of her own, but I just did not appreciate being treated like that when all I was asking were questions any other person would ask. It made me sad thinking others who were older had to deal with this. Really disappointed. read more

I don't use this Pharmacy but my Dad and Mom do and they have always been very satisfied. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and takes care when discussing your medicines. Phone calls and/or text messages are sent to keep you informed of any changes. read more

The absolute second worse pharmacy that I have ever encountered I've been trying to call this pharmacy for two hours and no one has picked up there is another CVS that didn't have my medication I am done with CVS they are the worst of the worst I'll go back to Rite Aid. Walked in after having our family dinner at Outback around the corner. It was a semi-wet night caused by a little drizzle of rain and not by the famous Daly City fog for a change. The place was quiet with a total of 5 customers inside the whole store. Four of them were my family members and one random guy who either has a blue-tooth headset or is just having a very robust conversation with the un-seen. Once we grabbed what was left of the white M & M's that are so hard to find elsewhere from the front counter, we stood "in line" for the cashier. Only there was no cashier in sight. Hmm, we looked around and all we could see (and hear) was that jovial guy that was having a hearty and not-so-hearty conversation depending on the next sentence that he uttered. After standing there for what seemed like an eternity, I somehow had this "coughing fit" and I mean I guess it was loud enough to catch a worker's attention. She came out of an aisle, seemed like she was a bit annoyed that she had to actually do her job and asked us "are you ready NOW to pay?" I had to bite my tounge from saying, "B*TCH Nah, we're just waiting for the next bus to stop here so carry on." BUT, this is the new ME. New Year, New ME. I said, "Nah, we're just waiting for the next bus to stop here but since you insist, ok." I think I made her think as I could have sworn she paused a bit to comprehend what I just said. Oh well, at least I removed the frown from her face and replaced it with a puzzled look. Oh boy, wish I could have waited for the gabby guy to check out. Sorry, 2 stars for the attitude but 4 stars for carrying my elusive white M&M's. read more

I have never had luck with this place. You know things don't always work out for us in life and we need to accept that. The question I ask myself is do they advocate for me? Do they ask all the questions they can ask to try and resolve a problem and in their case the answer is no. After many prompts I spoke to someone to fill a presription. When I got there they had what I needed. I walk up and they promptly ask me for 5 times what I pay. Well The Dr gave you the wrong prescription. You are not on that plan. Ok being my advocate did you call the Dr? Now it's past my Dr Hours. I need the medication because of side effects. I pay it. It's alot of money. The young man at The country said people get mad at us but it's not our fault. I'm sorry but it is. You are not being my advocate. You didn't look out for me. That's what I expect. Hopefully you guys agree with me. read more

I doubt that this will change anything judging by the horrible score this store has but I was denied my prescription by an incompetent worker that didn't even know how to use their own computer system. She couldn't find my prescription she then got upset because I showed her the correct information in my "MyHealthOnline" app and denied me my prescription saying they didn't have enough, this is heart medicine and was sent to them 24hrs prior you would think they would alert me or even provide me with a partial fill but no. Horrible service is alive and waiting for you at this location go to any other CVS and save yourself from the incompetence, profiling, and scrutiny of this location. The fact that they would put their bad attitude ahead of another persons health is very dangerous be careful. read more

Most of the time, the pharmacy is on time, works fast, and does what they say. The mobile system to get pickup info and request refills is easy. Walgreens on Westborough and on El Camino are absolutely ridiculous in terms of poor service, wait times, and more. Comparatively, CVS is like a first class ride alongside unicorns and rainbows. Due to my insurance company I've had to endure the worst pharmacy that I have ever been to. My prescriptions are never ready on time even after calling them in and talking to a pharmacist it's always at the least 15-20 min wait. Customer service is definitely lacking here and I'd like to mention that on a couple occasions I had different medication in my pills bottle that were not mine. The fact that there's a drive-thru pharmacy is great but unfortunately there's nothing great about this pharmacy and staff. read more

The worst, slowest service and customer service ever! Never fails! Better off going to any other cvs/Walgreens

I'm never one to leave bad reviews but the recent experience here left a very bad taste in my mouth. My friends and I wanted flu shots and waited in the appropriate line. After no one verbally acknowledged us for at least 15 minutes (they kept making eye contact and looking away), a woman came up to us asking what we needed. After we said we needed 4 flu shots, she let out the biggest sigh, rolled her eyes and stated she needed to ask the pharmacist. This was extremely uncalled for. The pharmacist said no, which was ok, but the woman further went on to say "ok that's what I thought" extremely loud. Then came back to us letting us know it couldn't be done because they close in an hour... I then asked if two people could get shots instead and before I could complete my sentence she said no. As a medical provider, I understand that times are especially busy because of COVID, the upcoming flu season and it being the end of a work day, but you should never treat patients like this woman did. At a minimum, you could have treated us with some slight respect and acknowledged us earlier, told us nicely that the flu shots weren't available today, and not sighed so loudly like we were wasting her time. read more

Picking up my meds shouldn't be this difficult...Went to pick up my prescription over the weekend (my doc called it in 5 biz days ago). When I got there, the pharm rep told me my meds are on backorder and should be ready by Monday. Went back to pick up on Friday, 1. pharm rep told me they didn't have it in stock, I told her I was there 6 days ago and was told it would be available, 2. Pharm rep double checked and found it, but said my insurance didn't cover it and it would be $600 for a 90-day prescription, 3. Told her my insurance should cover 100% and asked her to double check the system, she came back and said my insurance only covers 30 days at a time and copay is $0...oook....4. Told me it'll take 20+ mins to reprocess the meds for the 30-day prescription and they were behind on other orders and asked me to return the next day. Sigh. read more

I like this CVS a lot. The employees are really nice and make sure that the customers are satisfied. I came here multiple times already since its re-opening (old location was across the street.) I needed to get some prints right away and the photo specialist was more than happy to help. I didn't have time to upload pics onto the website (online photo) so I just brought my memory card. The specialist showed me how to use the machine and how to select which pics I wanted. Best of all, the prints were ready in less than 15 minutes! Thanks for the lightning speed service! But this was around 8:30pm. No lines, no wait time. Lotsa skincare items. I needed to get more Aveeno Cleanser and was excited that the price was cheaper than Walgreens' (when I use the CVS card.) I have no complaints. When I asked if an item was on sale, an employee brought me to the price-check machine to scan the code (like Macys.) Very neat! Do all CVS have this price-check thing? I'm such a newbie. I don't go to CVS stores a lot because there aren't any near my house. But I'll definitely be going to CVS more because of this location read more

I would give this CVS 3 stars, but it gets a bonus star for being a CVS and having the most complete first aid section out of any of the common drug stores. It's a little known fact that CVS drug stores have a much wider medical section than Rite Aids or Walgreens. Their selection is bigger than even the mega-Walgreens. Which means they're winning at being a drug store, since that's sort of a big part of what a drug store is supposed to be about. This is the only place that sells such a wide variety of sizes of hydrocolloid bandages, at a better value than you can get online. FYI these are expensive but make wounds heal 3x faster without scabs or scars. I actually drive down from Pacifica to this CVS just to stock up on them. HOWEVER... the checkout lines here are a crapshoot. Sometimes you'll get lucky and breeze through with your purchase, but more often than not you are going to be stuck behind someone who will spend forever arguing with the cashier about coupons. This has happened to me at least 3 times. read more

This CVS is a profiling company. Had a bad experience when clerk was at fault didn't want admit it. Called police on my brother and they didn't run camera to show he had paid for his money gram for the car payment when the clerk was at fault. Cops should've never gotten involved when my brother had done nothing wrong. And allowed officers to handcuff and pat down also put in the back of the cop car with no explanation. This place has the worse customer service and they profiled my brother because of what he looks like and called the cops when the clerk of CVS was at fault. read more

Teresa and the other employees are fabulous. I can't recall when was the last time I had to deal with such a caring, friendly and proffesional staff. All my calls, messages and requests are promptly responded no matter what I am inquiring about. In occasions they were able to help me despite getting there when the store was about to close. Was in the store today and while I was shopping I was sort of hear hustling some of the conversation between an associate named Michael and an elderly Asian husband and wife. Apparently there was some technical glitch with them getting their vaccines. From what I gathered the husband was registered and for some reason they weren't able to verify the wife. They seemed like a very sweet older couple. The wife explained that she has a visual impairment and she needed her husband to get around and was met with some pretty harsh treatment by Michael. The husband got vaccinated around 1125 and then had to wait in the chairs. Mind you I'm now just watching what happens to these people. The wife sits in the pharmacy chair waiting for her husband and this same dude, Michael, comes over and makes them both leave the store. Now she was waiting for her shot, they are old and he kicks them out of the store and tells them to wait until noon to come back in for her to get her shot. When they came back in for her THE GUY SINGLED THEM OUT AND MADE THEM GO ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK OF THE LINE!!! She clearly could not see. They were both clearly a little taxed from standing in lines and being herded like cattle. It was shocking to see this CVS associate sincerely pick on this poor couple. They gave him a little authority and instead of protecting people coming there for help, vulnerable people, he used this little bit of power he had to flex on some old people. I watched this whole thing happen over the span of two hours. If that were my parents or grandparents, that racist and clearly prejudiced Michael and I would be having a conversation I'm positive he would not enjoy. I left my basket in the store, purchased nothing and waited for this couple to get safely to their car and then leave. I will never shop at a CVS again read more

My husband and I have a scheduled COVID vaccine appointment today at 6 PM and got two confirmations each. My husband was told he can come in anytime When he got the confirmation call in the morning. When we got there, no one was at their "check-in" counter and we were told to just come back tomorrow because they did NOT want to open another bottle since they would need to vaccinate 9 people per bottle. Like wth. What are the appointments AND confirmations for?! Please do NOT go to this CVS for passport pictures. Taylor the manager is a very unfriendly person. I took my kids here to take photos for their passport pictures and next day at our passport appointment I was told that the state might give us a problem with one of the photo because a a strand of hair was covering my kid's face. They said the person who took this photo should've redo the picture. So I had to go back and asked to retake the picture to avoid any complications. I went back to the same person (Taylor) and told her what happened and instead of apologizing she wanted me to pay another $17 for the photo! Ridiculous! I told her this is your mistake and if this picture don't pass for the passport then you need to retake the photo! She still insists on me paying the $17. So I asked to speak yo the manager and surprisingly she's the manager. I asked to give me the corporate number so I can make a complaint and she refused to give that to me as well. Luckily internet you can find any info and I was able to locate the number and email. I will file a complaint! This is not right! It's not just about the $17 it's about I shouldn't have to pay for her mistake! Don't go here for passport photos! read more

Oh, what a surprise, a few reviewers belly aching about lack of silver service, candlelit ambiance or restroom attendants serving hot towels. You asses are exactly why some people hate Yelp (and, let's be honest here, why some people hate San Franciscans.) It's a fricken CVS. You, YOU whining ninnies, are the problem here, not CVS. WTF is wrong with you people? Have you no shame? One star for an establishment because the person could "barely speak English" or "super long wait for refills." Really? You do realize that you are living in the lap of luxury while these people are working very close to minimum wage so that you can whine about waiting for medication that people in most countries are literally DYING to get. Meanwhile, this place is perfectly acceptable. No, more than perfectly acceptable: really awesome. I came here early one morning, all disorganized and a bit stressed. Only two people working the entire store, but one of the employees took the time to help me with all of my needs, and even gave me perfect directions and some helpful local tips on how to avoid morning rush hour traffic into the East Bay. So this holiday season, dear yelpers, think a bit before you spout off about a place. By all means give one or two stars to a place that is charging you $10 an oyster and has a celebrity chef attached to it, because those places deserve to be held to a higher standard, but if you're taking time out of your trust fund existence to give a CVS grief, than you really need to take a good hard look in the mirror. I called in for new prescription for my son and the transaction is so fast. As soon as I hang up the phone they called the doctor and called me back to tell me that I can get the prescription in about an hour. I seriously dont believe other people giving bad reviews because hey we are not celebrities. We are normal people that needs to wait in line, be nice, and patient. I believe that they have great costumer service, like what the other reviewer says these employees get paid minimum wage plus dealing with grouchy/rude costumers makes their job even worst as it is. Two words DRIVE THRU This place is the bomb diggity because I can get my meds with out having to take my Thing 1 and Thing 2 (think Cat in the Hat by Dr Seuss) 2 toddlers out of the car and chase them around a pharmacy in order to get my meds. Excellent Pharmacy! My precious little Dog needed a new med to assist with a respiratory issue. I went to Rite Aid, Costco, and Walgreens, these Pharmacies turned me away and told me they didn't carry the Med and didn't think they could even order it. The CVS Staff went out of their way to find someone that they could order it from, when they discovered that the Vet wrote the prescription wrong, they called the Vet and clarified the order. My Dog is doing much better, thank you Sarah, Dominic and Melissa, your customer service and knowledge ROCK. read more

Avoid this pharmacy if possible. My wife was discharged from the hospital a week after an emergency c-section (wife and baby are doing fine) and we went straight from S.F. to the pharmacy. There were some issues with the prescription and this woman named Mona helped figure it out. So why the two stars? Well, Mona said to comeback in 20-30 minutes for the meds. We went to the bank and picked up some food to kill the time, but at this point my wife was in tears from the pain since it had been 5 hours since her last dose, one hour more than it should have been. It seems that the pharmacist that Mona had assigned to get the prescription was covering for someone else on lunch and when they came back she never told them to fill it! I had to wait another 30 minutes before I could get my wife her pain pills! If it weren't for Mona's help I'd be giving them 1 star. We will go to Bayhill and see if they're better until my insurance can play nice with Walgreens. read more

Stars taken off for the extremely long time I was placed on hold when I called to ask about a prescription. Drive thru pharmacy was quick and courteous. Definitely preferable to other pharmacies nearby... You don't even need to get out of your car! Another plus is that they will call when you prescription is filled so you don't need to make a useless trip. read more
