I'm in line with 3 more shoppers behind me!!! Only one checker open at 9:52 am! Ridiculous!!
    Yvonne S.

I'm standing in line with four people behind me and check out the picture. How many in front of me and only one checker open although they have called twice for another checker one checker in this huge Safeway open this is ridiculous at almost 10 o'clock in the morning on a Wednesday the new ad just came up. You would think that they would have more checkers open. Last time I come to the Safeway.

Upon entering it was unwelcoming. The security guard had an attitude and when I walked to aisle two a latino woman with a name badge was standing there with the door opened. I said "Excuse me where are your candles"She looked me up and down with a funky face and didn't say anything. Then I said "You don't work here got it", and walked off. Then she said, "AYE! candles 3" it was unpleasant. I had asked the person at the register "excuse me? he cut his eyes toward me instead of saying hello or yes as I ask him where were the birthday candles and he finally let me know where they were. It's cringy and unpleasant here attitudes of workers are terrible whoever manages this store needs to clean house!

I have shopped at this Safeway location for so many times!!! And the things that I shop for would be Milk, Bananas, Tea Boxes, and ext... Since it's close by I often go to this Safeway location then the other Safeways!!! I also come this Safeway and pick up my medicine refill!!!

    The empty tissue dispenser

I don't know why every Safeway bathroom has the same esthetic! DISGUSTING! There was no tissue in the dispenser. It was on the floor but it actually looked like receipt paper. I actually had an okay shopping experience until I had to use it. There wasn't even a changing table.

Left: Has acetaminophen (Tylenol) but no idea the dose per serving Right: Doesn't have acetaminophen

Actually, I hardly ever go to Safeway anymore. Shelves are always well stocked, store is very clean, and just a pleasant place to shop at. I've never tried the food at the self-serve buffet, but it usually looks pretty fresh. I like that it's never too crowded here, so you can maneuver your way around the aisles easily.

In one incident over a year ago, another customer verbally harassed me and threatened physical harm while I was shopping. Her child was left unattended and was knocking items over, which I reported to security. The guard failed to do his job and did not intervene appropriately. When a supervisor arrived, the situation was handled much more professionally. I should feel safe shopping in my local market. That guard no longer works there, but the experience was upsetting and difficult to move past. Unfortunately, in January 2026, I encountered similar issues with a new security guard. He has repeatedly followed me around the store without cause. Most recently, he approached me unnecessarily, stood uncomfortably close, and spoke to me in an intrusive manner while I was selecting items. His behavior showed poor training and a lack of respect for personal boundaries. These repeated experiences with security staff are negatively affecting the atmosphere at Woodlands. I am a respectful, regular customer and do not want to feel uncomfortable or monitored without cause when shopping. Proper security training and professionalism are essential for customer safety and trust.

We were in San Francisco for about a week, and having a Trader Joe's so close was a total lifesaver. We could easily stop in and grab breakfast foods, snacks, and, of course, our favorite peanut butter cups. It saved us from having to spend a ton of money eating out for breakfast every morning, and we were able to stock up on snacks that lasted us for the entire trip. This Trader Joe's was definitely a different experience than the one we're used to back home in the St. Louis suburbs. Since it was right in the city, you actually had to take an escalator down to get into the store, which was kind of fun and unexpected. I also felt like there was surprisingly more room in the aisles than I expected for a city location. The checkout line was a completely different story! It wrapped around the store, which honestly gave me a little anxiety because I felt like I needed to hurry and get everything because the line looked like it was going to take forever. But they had a ton of checkers working, and the line actually moved incredibly fast. Before I knew it, we were checked out and on our way. It was just really nice to be somewhere familiar while experiencing a totally different version of Trader Joe's in another city. Having one so close to our hotel made our trip easier, more affordable, and a little more fun. And yes, we absolutely stocked up on those peanut butter cups!

We had recently visited Japan and were interested to see if we'd find some of our favorite products here and were happily surprised were there. They have a large selection of prepared foods, including some incredible looking sushi (I wish we had bought some). The cold drinks had a great selection of options with some hard to find flavors and brands. From the produce to meat, seafood, and shelf stable items, it was overwhelming how much this store had. I loved the wide variety of candies and snacks. We picked up some new-to-us and some familiar items while we were here. I also picked up some spices and ingredients that are harder to find. The pricing on everything was very fair, and considering that a lot of these items are imported and not always easy to source, I was so excited! In fact, you can snag some good deals on produce and cheese here if you're willing to try something new. Speaking of produce, it's always beautiful here. I don't think I've ever seen an unappetizing leaf, fruit, or vegetable. I discovered this place after parking in front of it for the nearby library branch on the same day I listened to KEXP for the first time. I was prepping for an upcoming weekend excursion, and while I usually buy my groceries in the South Bay, closer to where I'm headed, I decided to change things up and get (mostly) everything in one fell swoop. I believe I got a prepackaged side dish that was delicious. And some fruits and carrots for the road ahead and the weekend beyond.
