Unprofessional, disrespectful. I came in for snacks. I dont know if theres new owners. I never seen that Indian woman before. I got snacks and yes i got a bag for it. She left the breakfast sandwich on the counter. I was looking at keychains. I Put the sandwich in the bag. I already paid for the stuff. So the woman was talking to her coworker and walked away. I was going to purchase a keychain so i had it on the counter. The woman says" is there more in here and she looks in my bag". She ACCUSED ME OF STEALING BASICLY. I said no , If you were questioning me you should of never walked away, i have money. She says ohhhh no no. She was embarassed and startled because i said something back to her. "Disappointed by Internalized Discrimination from a Fellow Chinese Staff" As an Asian customer, I walked into this 7-Eleven hoping for a simple transaction and maybe a small sense of cultural familiarity. I overheard the cashier -- a Chinese woman -- warmly chatting with another (non-Asian) customer, praising a "super good Chinese restaurant." But when I asked about a simple debit card cash back, her tone instantly turned cold. "We don't have cash back," she snapped, then ordered me: "Just go ahead and pay." No effort to explain, no basic courtesy. Just sharp, dismissive energy -- as if I wasn't worth the same service she gave the previous customer. Sadly, this wasn't just poor service. It felt like internalized bias -- a fellow Chinese person trying to prove she's "not like the others" by treating someone like me with visible indifference. I've had better experiences with Latino, Black, and Indian staff at 7-Eleven. Only when the staff looks like me do I feel so erased. That says a lot. read more

We never had dinner, so one of my friends needed a snack. Since 7-Eleven was next door to the gas station we were at, we decided to drop by. We walked in on Saturday, February 9th around 7:15pm. I saw a chip display with Doritos, Cheetos, Lays, and Tostitos, so I grabbed a bag of the Doritos Flamin' Hot Nacho since I'm a chip fiend. (I can literally eat an obscene amount of chips in one sitting.) My girlfriend and I decided to grab a hot dog for our friend while he was getting gas. I think we ended up grabbing a Spicy Bite ($2.29). Used the condiment bar and topped it with ketchup, mustard, jalapenos, etc. It wasn't the cleanest or the best stocked, but it did the job. (There weren't many jalapenos left, so we took them all.) Check out was fine. There were a few people in the store, so there was a small wait. The cashier was quick so it wasn't too bad. Definitely not the friendliest of places. I think every time that I've come here I've had a weird experience with either the staff for the 711 groupies that hang outside this place. I was hoping to find a couple snacks when I come here but that was a huge fail as I was waiting in line. What order will go back until the lady behind the counter was getting impatient with the customers she was helping. I don't know what it is about this location the people who work here but they do not I know how to provide quality customer service. I mean I get it to 7:11 but the least you can do is engage customers and be friendly. When I finally got to the counter she seemed it seemed like the cashier lady was trying to rush my transaction. I noticed this but I didn't make it a big deal because I have better things to do. For the most part you get Connor what you get I'm here. For anyone that's come here before in the past you gotta know what the atmosphere is like and how the staff is here so it is what it is. read more

This 7-11 store is not bad. Nothing stands out either positive or negative. If I lived in the neighborhood, then I would probably be a regular customer. Seems like the only thing that may be inconvenient is the parking. They share the parking lot with the other businesses in the plaza. This 7-11 is A-Ok. 3 stars! read more

I came here for a quick bite but didn't buy anything off the grill. I bought a tray of nachos, sushi and coffee. This store have some of the similar items you'd expect to see at most 7-Eleven stores. Some of the employees working here are polite so that's always a good thing when it comes to customer service rating. UPDATE FOR 11/16/2013: The staff here seemed very friendly and services were actually very good. So far, I have not found any dislikes about this store. read more

It's a very well stocked with variety location. The customer service lacks. I get it, you're pizza deal kicks ass and drives sales. BUT when there's 4 -5 people in line waiting to pay for their items that have nothing to do with pizza, maybe you should help them before you cut up the pizza for your display. Hello?? No one is buying the pizza right now and there's a line of people waiting to give you money?? Also, you're in a primarily asian/filipino location. Workers shouldn't assume that the "Americanized looking Filipinos" don't understand what you're saying about them in line. Don't be rude. It's a 7-11. You either come here drunk, or buy something to get drunk with. They have the usual stuff here, nothing exciting. What sets this store apart is I always hear some commercial being played, but ONLY in one spot near the register. If I move a little bit either way, I can't hear it anymore. It does match what is playing on a TV screen, but the sound is not coming from that way. It could be from above me, or it also sounds like the sound is coming from the racks near the hot dog machine. This is my favorite 7-11 in my area. The workers know me, and they always know what I want. The workers always greet me, and we end up conversing about various topics. This 7-11 is pretty stocked up. I have not been disappointed by this store yet. The only thing that is bad about this 7-11 is the parking. This 7-11 is located in small plaza with other stores. The parking lot can get full due to the restaurants. read more

So normally I am a pretty cool tempered guy but the fact that they attempt to short change me weekly at this location is getting old. Today i was going for run around my hood and I tripped and busted my knee open(jsut scrapped it but the heat made it seem worse plus i am still kinda sick from a sinus infection). So i swing into my friendly neighborhood 7-11 to purchase a pack of bandades. I am in line give them a 5 and get the change back which is of course short. So after asking for the rest of my money the lady at teh register gets it and throws it at me. yes throws it. so yeah ill still use this place because i am lazy and dont want to drive farther but thats the only reason. read more

I always see this 7-11 whenever I exercise at Gellert Park. One day I decided to check it out and get a Big Bite hot dog. The parking was filthy and space is limited, because it is shared by other businesses, among them a Chinese restaurant, dentistry, and beauty salon. The inside of the 7-11 was not clean, either! As the Asian dude was preparing my Big Bite, I noticed that he was using his hands while handling the bun, this after he just finished handling cash from a previous customer! I told him I no longer wanted it and just walked out! The lesson of it all ... If it looks bad inside and out, don't eat it! read more

I don't know if it's all 7/11's or just this one, but they now charge $0.10 for a plastic bag to carry the stuff you buy. I went in there and bought some stuff. I get wrung up and they guy says "do you want a bag? We charge for them now" I just looked at him and said "You're kidding." Of course, I needed a bag. So he scans the bag, yep the bags now have bar codes on them. I know it's only $0.10, but how else are you gonna carry a bunch of stuff. They say it's to reduce plastic bags in the environment, but......7/11's bags are bio-degradable. In other words, they don't harm the environment. They are using a law that doesn't apply to them as an excuse to make more money. read more

Keep the pina colada slurpee on deck. Winter, spring, summer who doesn't want a pina colada / cherry slurpee? This 7-Eleven is our local 7-Eleven. We used to come here back in the day to play the arcades they once had. Why did 7-Eleven have to ditch the arcades. Unofficial NBA jam and street fighter 2 tournaments would be held here. You would place your quarter up on the glass to show that you were next! Now they have that ATM machine in the arcades place. The rest of the store has the same layout for as long as I can remember. Of course a few things moved around but it's stll the same. Back in the 80's when BMX was the thing to do, a lot of kids would get their bikes stolen from the front of the store. I remember those days like they were yesterday. Of course it doesn't hurt to grab nachos and some other snacks here.
