One relatively small issue is awkward parking but store is adjacent to a huge lot - so not a problem for those able to walk a bit. In the past I've stopped by here for some emergency sunblock and recently discovered that they even have some types and brands not available elsewhere - specifically Neutrogena stick form sunblock. All in all a pretty solid shop especially compared to local competitors with lots of empty shelves.

Rashanda was working as the cashier. She sent the other woman that came to help with the line back to finish stocking rather than helping with the impatient line. After a few more customers, I ask from the back of the line if they really couldn't open another cash register. The answer was no when they had other employees available to help. I will leave it on a more positive saying that the store had everything I needed except for efficient, customer service oriented cashiers.

We came here after checking out the sunset at Pacifica State Beach. A lovely gentleman rang us up quickly and got me a scoop of the mint chocolate chip. I grew up eating Rite Aid ice cream. It is super nostalgic for me and it was just as good as I remembered. Perfect thing to have while enjoying the sunset or on a sunny day at the beach. They also sell quarts of the Thrifty ice cream to go. Don't sleep on the chocolate malted crunch flavor!

I called on October 8, 2024 to inquire about certain immunizations. Jackie/Jacquie (sp?) was extremely helpful, looking up if my insurance would cover a shot and ordering the vaccine to be in on time for my previously scheduled appointment to get done with my other vaccination. Ever since we started going here for COVID-19 boosters, this has been the place to get subsequent shots because Daniel Chang is #1 in my book - he is very informative, has a way of making you feel comfortable before getting injected, and is so gentle with the needle. We will make sure that we schedule all inoculation appointments with him. Yes, that's how awesome he is! Of course, following tradition after receiving shots, we treat ourselves to ice cream. Yay, Rite Aid has a Thrifty ICE CREAM counter!! Yes, they give free sample tastings and their scoops are still in cylinder shape, too! At our most recent visit on Thursday, October 10, 2024, Tebo served us our ice cream with a friendly smile. I think that we will go here more often.

The drive-thru window is consistently not attended to and the service button to call someone is really useless as the employees take their sweet time coming to answer it. Parking and going inside is a shot in the dark because regardless of time or day, the pick-up line could be 10 people deep or empty. The employees are less rude than they used to be, at least the ones I've recently encountered, but they still don't go above and beyond to make your trip/experience there pleasant. I do also want to gripe about the mobile pick-up counter. Apparently, even if you order, checkout and pay in advance online, you can't use this counter and must stand in the regular line. What is the point of this counter and sign then? Do better, CVS Pharmacy.

They go out of their way to help a customer out with finding a product, utilizing any discounts available. The pharmacy staff is from another planet. Not sure why. Standoffish, not always helpful, at times rude, and don't think they understand customer service. CVS needs to rethink their training program for their pharmacy staff.

Stand in line for 5 minutes and you'll undoubtedly see at least 1-2 people walking away from the counter empty handed and dumbfounded. Normally i'd by coy about this sort of thing but let's call a spade, a spade. What you're looking for is the pharmacist with the blue hair (big shock). Now while she has the education of a pharmacist, she has personally decided she's a doctor. You need to watch out for her, bc if she disagrees with your doctors opinion (the one with the actual MD) she will void your persciption and refuse to dispense it. Unfortunately this is what happens when you give a peanut of authority to people who were bullied and never received therapy. Which is all plainly obvious when you interact with her. I have watched (and personally experienced) dozens DOZENS of customers stand flabbergasted while she waxes poetic about her vast knowledge of pharmacology and how she can't dispense a medication until the doctor writes a prescription using the words of her choosing (that's no hyperbole I'm being dead serious). She has called an MD i see and made him (a doctor of 30 years) write the words that don't upset her fragile mind. One prescription I picked up from location 8 times when suddenly, it's verbiage perturbed her and she denied it until re written. Bur fret not walgreeens corporate! i've done your job for you! I have recorded in video and audio the last 3 times she's done it to me, as well as her refusal to provide me her name to file a complaint. Which uhhhh ohhhhh is against company policy :o But in case you don't like that idea, I've submitted everything to the California State Board of Pharmacy. Enjoy!
