Photo review... This isn't the first time I've had an issue with getting prints done at this location, but it is finally time I left a review because I've had consistently bad experiences now (and next time I won't buy photos at this CVS location). When I got home and started looking at my prints I noticed that every single photo had a weird discoloration band going across the print. I called CVS and the employee shared that they were aware their printer was having issues and that they have been waiting for a repairman. I'm upset that the system let me place the order if the machine wasn't functioning properly, but I'm also frustrated that the employees didn't check (or prompt me to check) my photos before I left. What's annoying is they can't send my order to be reprinted at another CVS and I can't get a refund unless I return to their location-- so now I have to return to this location for my refund, place the order again for a different CVS, and then wait for it to process before I can then go to that CVS for my reprinted photos-- hopefully to be printed without issues.... This has been a very unpleasant customer experience and is consistent with my memory of poor customer service at this location over the last few years. read more

Not only did she make me wait 5 minutes while she could have talked to me while sorting through peoples medication infront of me. After that I found out she doesn't even speak english. We go to CVS on Steamboat Parkway, we always had good service from this business and if you have CVS App you can get coupons and sale items at a decent price. We get our prescriptions from CVS and get notified when prescriptions are ready for pickup thru texts. We have used the drive thru a few times to pickup our Medicene and it went smoothly. We also go here for flu shots and Covid Shots, as long as you have an appointment time we usually don't have to wait more than 10 minutes or so. read more

Prescription called in at 8 AM, went to pick it up at 11:15, and the response was oh, I see we have two prescriptions for you would you like me to fill them? Yes, isn't that your job? BEWARE of incorrect medication. I got ambien from this place and it didn't work so I googled pictured it and it's a schizophrenic medication. I don't know if they did this on accident or on purpose, but if you're medication doesn't work as usual you should google picture it to see if it's correct. I had a very disappointing experience at the CVS Pharmacy on Steamboat Parkway. As a single mother trying to pick up a prescription for my sick two-year-old, I expected at least a basic level of professionalism and compassion. Unfortunately, that was not the case. One of the pharmacy staff members--an orange-haired woman with large black gauged earrings--was incredibly rude and disrespectful. When she was called over to assist with a question, her attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. Her demeanor made an already stressful situation worse, and I was left feeling frustrated and disrespected during a time when I needed support. Customer service in a pharmacy--especially one dealing with the care of young children--should reflect empathy, not hostility. Based on this experience, I will be reconsidering whether I return to this location in the future. I sincerely hope CVS takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the professionalism of their staff. read more

This CVS has now twice taken over a month to develop film and didn't even call when it was ready. They also keep the men's hair balms locked up. I'm not gonna go looking for an associate since they seem to be hiding most the time anyways. Pretty sad they lock up hair product. Their prices are ridiculous as well. This CVS is clean, well stocked with nice displays and a nice section for sale and clearance items. The staff is professional, proficient and friendly. Jacob is often at or near the front check out area. He is always friendly and helpful. The pharmacy is responsive to new prescriptions that might need to be filled right away. read more

It's very clear that all the bad reviews mean nothing to anyone here but I feel so upset I have to leave my own. Hey Jonathan when someone has an infection and needs their antibiotics, your attitude can take a hike. It took you first of all over 5 minutes to even find my one prescription because your pharmacy is so disorganized it's pathetic, then you failed to mention that one of my prescriptions hadn't been filled yet until we were leaving and I noticed it wasn't there (I was purchasing OTC meds while hubs checked out pharmacy) when we stood back in line and hubs said hi were missing a prescription, you said "it hasn't been filled yet do you need it tonight because we close in 10 minutes" to which my husband (who didn't want to come to this pharmacy in the first place but meds had been sent from Las Vegas clinic long story) replied "yes we do need it tonight" to which then Jonathan you so ungraciously said "well we are a day behind so do you want to come back here and help us?" In an extremely rude attitude To which I said 100 percent I'll come help. Because you clearly clearly need it. I have strep throat and an ear infection Jonathan which is not fun and actually pretty crappy when a pharmacy you depend on is not dependable. Do I know you are busy? Yes I can sympathize with that and I know that since I waited on hold for 30 minutes while I was in Las Vegas to make sure my meds would be filled correctly. If they weren't going to be I should have been told you were a day behind then and we would have sent to another pharmacy. Complete disaster as you can see from reviews within the last year. I had to pick up 2 prescriptions today. Evidently I came at a time that was inconvenient for CVS. They filled one prescription then closed the window in my face because it was 1:30 and they hadn't finished scanning the 2nd prescription. There is absolutely zero customer service or even a sense of human respect give by the staff. Go somewhere else even if you have to drive a little further. There are other options near by. Awful. This PHARMACY IS HORRIBLE if you can go someplace else do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache. They often time don't have the medication. They say come back in a "couple hours" I reply, "I'll be back in 2 hours" and they respond it probably won't be ready then. Dear CVS assistant managers, managers, regional managers, and folks invested with this business. For some reason this CVS has issues in their drive thru pickup, and with filling prescriptions in their pharmacy. The waits in this drive thru are extremely long compared with other CVS locations I have visited in the Reno area. I do not recommend this location when sick, or have sick children with you. The staff here is nice, friendly,and professional, however when you get to the window for a prescription that was sent over from a pediatric doctor an hour in advance, and are told the pharmacy is three hours behind, a fire might get lit inside you. This unfortunately might be my last visit here. I attempted to call and speak with management regarding the issue at this location...I left a phone message and never received a call back. Maybe I am clueless when it comes to the healthcare system, and pharmacies in general, however I do understand that South Reno is booming. Have you seen all the 55+ age community's built in South Reno? CVS managers, your employees are solid here but they need backup. We need more employees at this location! read more

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. My prescription was put in on Thursday I get no communication until Sunday. The automated service says they're ordering it so I call and leave a voice mail stating that I need this med asap. I get a call back saying that they're ordering it and it should be ready on Tuesday. Today is Tuesday and I go in at 12 and it's still not ready. Then as soon as I get home I get another automated call saying that they're ordering a very common insulin that they have been "out" of for almost a week now. I drive back to catch them before their hour long group lunch to get them to switch this to a different pharmacy and they cut me off and wouldn't do anything for me. Terribly ran pharmacy, do not go here unless you can wait a week for your meds. read more

Well I switch to this pharmacy since it is closer to my home. Been with them a couple years now. I have had issues with they way the workers talk to the customer and they way they leave you standing there without acknowledging you. Plus, I try to avoid the long line in the drive thru window by going inside but sometimes you have to use the window like yesterday because my husband just had surgery and was sitting in the car and it was real hot outside. There were five car ahead of me and one was at the window a long time. If that person had an issue they should have others to help with the line. At least have two drive up lines open since they are always busy. I never understand why these pharmacies don't have more help. They got to be making plenty of money with all the people on medications. Customer is supposed to come first, but the reality is many feel beholden to take their time even with a line. The store is fine and clean and the only issue I last had with a cashier is that I had to ask for my discounts. Once I run my card they should know of all my discounts. read more

I asked if they can transfer my script to the Damonte ranch pkwy location- got disconnected. I reached the pharmacy physically at 6:01 and the staff told me they're closed and there is nothing they can do. They recommended I call Damonte Ranch location and they answered their phone and she tried to help me but apparently my script was disabled probably because they wanted to go home. This is my favorite of all the CVS' in South Reno. First and foremost it's always very very clean. The employees in this store are always busy. I've never walked in to find them standing around talking, while I need help, or am ready to check out. I especially love that this location carries a variety of vegan snacks. I know that if I'm in a hurry, and hungry they will always have a healthy snack for me. They also carry a variety of peanut free snacks for my son. The pharmacy staff is always friendly, and they always get my medicine in a timely manor. However, the absolute best part of this store, is the seasonal decorations they carry. To date I've purchased the coolest 3' tall outdoor santa, some really rad Halloween decor, A Valentines wreath, and some cute Easter stuff. You don't typically think cute decor when you think CVS but this location never fails to deliver adorable items. The pharmacy staff and I will all discuss which thing we love during each season. Over Halloween we all tried to decide between two different sets of skeleton brides. The manager is present every time I'm in, and always friendly. I love this location! read more

I can't do it with CVS Pharmacy anymore. Every time I go, it is a minimum 30 minute wait (Whether inside or sitting in my car at the drive-thru). Usually, the wait is 45 min. When I call to see about getting my RX transferred somewhere else, I am on hold for 20 minutes minimum, only to get disconnected. As I am writing this, I am on my second phone call and am currently at 21 minutes and counting. Sadly, I don't recommend this pharmacy, anymore. It is terrible. read more

I did a self test in my car this morning. I followed all instructions. I was told to drop my test in the box. My complaint is two fold. 1. Box is an UNLOCKED metal box attached to their exterior wall about a car & half length away from their drive through window. The fact this box is unlocked where anyone walking by with interest can lift lid and either steal or tamper with our Covid tests is not okay. Anyone opening box can also get our confidential information that is with our test, our name, address, phone number, insurance information etc. The least they can do is have a locked insulated box where there's a slot where tests get dropped in but nothing can be removed or tampered with, which also protects our confidential information. 2. It has been 90-100 degrees for a week now, I asked when tests will get picked up because I'm concerned the heat could play a role with my results. She said "today" but no time was given. I had my test at 11am, if the test sits in 100 degrees for 7 hours, will this effect results. She said they put ice in the box. That won't matter in 90-100 degrees in a metal box that's not insulated. I'm shocked how unprofessional this set up is at this location and hope other CVS locations are more professional and care more about customers test results & confidentiality. They were able to hand over to me the test through the drive through pull out drawer, so they could also receive back in the same manner and keep tests in their air conditioning inside & keep our personal information protected, or better yet however tests should be handled after so many hours. read more

We went over there today and they told me my meds were shipped and in the box they would unpack "when they had time". Been using this pharmacy for over a year. Their customer service reps are rude, and seem unempathetic to their customers. Call them to opt out of something your APRN ordered that you told her you didn't want, (type of glucose monitor as a pre diabetic A1C 6.0), they'll still notify you to pick up for 30 days. Post 12 hours of them receiving a prescription, you select you need the prescription inhaler sooner than 1230 pm, they increase the pickup time to 110 pm. I'm an empathetic nurse who knows face to face rudeness gets negative reviews. If looks could kill, I would have been dead on my first visit. But I gave benefit of doubt, maybe they are overwhelmed even though it appeared there were greater than 12 people working behind the counter. Doesn't mean you the customer should experience behind the counter conflict. I'm considering a different location. read more

Absolutely the worst. They have messed up prescriptions for my 2yr old TWICE! First time they spelled her name wrong and stated her pediatrician never sent the script in. She was extremely sick and needed to start those meds asap. My pediatricians office spent the whole next day dealing with them! The second time they told me the wrong dosage!! My pediatrician gave us a copy of the script just incase they "didn't receive it again" so I had the ACTUAL dosage that was sent to them. I could have given my toddler twice as much as she needed if I didn't know! I'm in the medical field and can not believe the incompetence of their pharmacy! read more

I have just had surgery and needing to have my pain medications filled to manage post-op pain. The pharmacy is unable to locate my eScript sent by my doctor three times today. When the doctors office called on my behalf, the pharmacy tech told them to try another pharmacy, they can't receive eScripts today. Totally unacceptable that a pharmacy in this day and age cannot figure out an electronic fax machine to provide necessary service to patients who are in need of medication. I'll be moving my refillable scripts to another pharmacy (not a CVS) going forward. Do better CVS read more
