We dropped by Walmart on this side of town because we were in the neighborhood. We picked a few essentials and went on our merry way with little to no interaction with the employees save for the cashier, Happy, and the security guard who checked our receipts, they were both nice and courteous enough. Yes it is your typical Walmart. This one has a similar layout to the one on 2nd street. It is generally clean, and seems to have less people shopping than the 2nd street or NW store. One thing to note, a lot of the beauty/hygiene/baby/liquor/printer/electronic items are locked up behind glass cabinets. So you gotta press a button and wait several minutes or track down an employee to open it up (they use phones now instead of keys). Good thing is they still have a lot of the self check out lanes available to use (NW store has done away with all except 4). On the flip side of this, so many have gotten used to self check out that the line can be long, but does go quick. Though keep an eye out for an open live checker lane, since many do like self check out. The store has a Dunkin Donuts, Regal Nails and of course the Walmart hair cutting place. read more

Rude customer service and rude floor manager. Two of the self check registers, both green lights on not working kept being moved to different check stands. We should have been moved to another line all together. We decided we had enough of the attitude so decided not to purchase the over $200.00of merchandise we just spent two and a half hours picking up. I'm a disabled person who just had surgery and desperately needed those things. My father and care provider went to get a manager, explained what we were dealing with and wanted an explanation and things to be made right. He began to try and speak to the manager when she told him, "to just stop." Well this is one way to loose customers because we will "just stop" shopping here and take our money elsewhere along with getting this out to as many other people that we can. ANTISEMITISM at Reno, NV Damonte Ranch. The scarfed watcher at Self-checkout saw my Israel necklace & hovered behind me as I checked out. Never said a word that I may have missed a scan. She waited until I pulled my credit card out of the machine (the receipt hadn't even printed yet) and started yelling at me in broken English that I couldn't understand. Finally she got it out - "I TOOK Something" as she pointed inside my cart. By this time the receipt had printed so I handed it to her & told her I scanned EVERY SINGLE item. Okay, time for an update and this location is slowly improving, thank you. I am still a loyal customer. Quality/Quantity - Overall good value, especially with brand names. Instock conditions are improving. Atmosphere - Consistent, take that for what it is worth. Service - The good news is that I am VERY self sufficient. I only need help if things are locked up. Price - Inexpensive. Best prices, I never compare/check prices as they are the low cost leader. Target was out of stock for resume paper. So I googled Office Depot and they had it for $21!! So I checked out the Walmart website and they had it for $12! It was so easy to look it up on the website and the aisle listed was correct! I haven't shopped at Walmart in years because it was so disorganized. I was in and out 5 minutes because there was not a line at check out or even self check out! Parking was also a breeze and found one almost immediately close to the entrance. There's not much anyone can add to WalMart.. This has a great Pharmacy staff. They make every effort to know their clients & maintain a well stocked inventory. This store r has addressed the cluttered asides. Finally, 2 carts can pass each other without having to back out of the way. The bakery consistently keepsbtheir items fresh. They also have an Automobile Service section for tires, oil changes, etc. If you need help here, just ask. The staff is knowledgeable & anxious to help. read more

I had to return a small item and they did so very easily and just gave me an in-store credit because I didn't have a receipt and I like the convenience of being able to use the blood pressure monitor. All the associates are wonderful but holy cow the 'management' are something else. You can catch them 100% of the time either on their phones or chit chatting loudly in the isles like they were a couple in middle school, calling each other "favorite". Seems like a HR nightmare. They also look and talk to their associates like complete bull. It's just demand after demand. Anytime I come to this store it is a complete mess and lines are outrageous but the management is standing at the front of the register yelling at you that "THIS LANE IS OPEN" Then making a associate walking past postpone what they were doing so they can just sit back and watch them do real work. I historically have been anti Walmart because the ones near me were pretty disgusting - dirty, trashy customers, etc. I moved and this Walmart surprised me. It is actually decent. 4/5/2023 Finally made it in to see if I could find Patti La b Belle 's peach cobbler.. My dearest family member - who is an exceptional, old school talented lady- told me about it.. Of course I've never heard of it, and asked where can I buy it.. She lives in Southern Ca. So I wasn't too hopeful.. Score! I found it on a table in the bakery section.. I was able to squeeze it into my air fryer.. Decided to make an espresso to serve with it.. Aroma in the house amazing.. First bite in----- omg!.. crust is flaky- bite size perfectly cut peaches and just enough sweetness and balanced spices... I'm in heaven...lol.. I make peach cobbler in the peach season.. but heck.. I'm not now! All for 7.99 what a deal! Peach cobbler is my favorite.. I do make my own sweet potato pie- but now I will try hers! Thanks Walmart for carrying her line! read more

This was my first visit to this Walmart and I was surprised. I'm used to the one on Kietzke which leaves a lot to be desired. The Damonte Ranch store is clean, well organized and well lit. I didn't visit the grocery departments but I was in housewares. Even though it's farther away from me than the one I go to now I am certain I will go to DR when I need to go inside. read more

This is epic.. ordered my tires, paid in full, 35x12.50x20.. made an appointment at 7 AM.. they finally unlocked the door at 7:15.. I watched as 3 employees wandered around vaping and drink coffee.. ok, I'm told it will take a little extra time because of the tire size, about 1.5 hrs.. no biggie..it's now 12 pm.. two tires are done.. they had to use my tow straps to install the tires on the rim? Then they couldn't get a wheel off because the lug nuts were tight? I wouldn't take my bicycle here in the future.. don't sell the tire if you can't install them... Then they put 80 lbs of air in a tire rated for 65..actually had to tell him to take the air out.. then I checked my tire pressure when I got home 69, 60, 65 and 61... just incredible.. read more

This location is small and a little understaffed as most big stores are these days. I was disappointed that my pickup order from this location kept getting cancelled because it said I had reached the maximum number of rapid tests I could order, but my previous order of 6 had been reduced to 2 at another location due to lack of inventory. I should have been able to order the 4 available tests here but the system still wouldn't let me. By the time I realized there was no way to get around this problem on the app and just went to the store they were of course sold out of them. And there was nobody on the floor to even ask for help. We ended up waiting in line at the pharmacy only to be told they had no idea. With a line of 5 people behind us we just left. This store has some of the basics but the large store in Sparks is much better - if you have the time, I'd go there over this one. read more

The past couple times I have been to this Walmart, it has gone horrible! First off, we had Walmart +, but we canceled it because this Walmart kept screwing up our order. I would keep getting substitutions that were bazaar. One time I asked for flour (apparently they didn't have anything), and I got sugar instead!!! They have completely separate purposes in cooking... So, I just decided to cancel the whole subscription. Now, I have been going to Walmart in person more; but, the stickers with the prices are always in the wrong spot. I would think I would by a pack of gum for $1, but it will go on the register screen as $2.19! Since I have also been going in-person more often, I have been approached many times by multiple homeless people. They would get really close to me and stare me down, unless I give them money. If I would move they would follow me... While I do feel bad for them, Walmart needs to tell them to stop going up to shoppers harassing them for money. read more

Oh come on everyone! 2 stars? Maybe if all youre factoring in is the less than socially responsible stance on commerce or the odd arrangement of the merchandise. Why would peanuts and beef jerky not be on the aisle with other snacks? If you actually shop here though it's always clean, we'll stocked, and never seems too crowded. Associates are around to answer questions, even if they don't always have the answers. Cashier lines are as long as they are anywhere else in town. It's an overall a ok shopping experience. I came here for some groceries and efficiently found all I needed. Is it my go to? No. But in a pinch it'll absolutely do! read more

Meh, I can't remember the last time I had a positive experience at this location. The staff always seem to be grumpy and not at all helpful. Customers are typically rude as well. They appear to be suffering from supply chain issues as there were quite a few empty spots on shelves throughout the store. Unfortunately it's becoming more and more difficult to find a checkout line that still has a live cashier as they have added a large amount of self checkout kiosks. FORGIVE ME PLEASE. I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHOM RUSH TO LEAVE A NEGATIVE REMARK, SO LET ME START BY SAYING THAT . We went in today to have the oil changed in my 2017 Toyota Prius. We ALWAYS come to these guys for all of our oil changes and they are always quick, friendly and accomodating. Rolled in today, they had us done in literally 45 minutes with other cars ahead of us. Here I'm thinking dang that was quick....well, yep a little too quick. They failed to put the correct size oil filter back on the car. We pull from the bay and my low oil pressure light pops on immediately. Hubby stops, jumps out, pops the hood and yells over to the technician......um hey yeah something is NOT OK!!! Eric the service manager was quick to come in and apologized for the mishap. Eric thank you for taking this situation seriously and making sure my 2nd oil change today was done appropriately . It is understandable to lock everything to prevent theft but then you need active people in every section to open locked items. I have spent over 15 minutes in two separate sections in two separate events waiting and trying to find someone to unlock something for me. I think it is just a poorly managed store that isn't appropriately allocating its people because when workers passed me they can't help me because they're shopping online for something and don't have a key. So yes, your locks are preventing theft, but it's also reducing the amount of people actually spending money in the store if they can't actually open anything on a regular basis. read more

I mean... it's a Walmart. Easy parking, huge store with everything you may need. Household items on the left side of the store, groceries on the right This is the closest store to my home, so it's convenient. Low prices for some of the bigger-name brand products. Staff wears masks, and they're always around if you need assistance. I wouldn't come here for produce (doesn't look very fresh), but it's my go-to for common pantry items (cereals, snacks, baking supplies, breads, etc) since they expanded their selection on health foods (low carb/low calorie tortillas/stevia-sweetened chocolate). I also come here to exchange my SodaStream CO2 canisters! You bring your empty ones to the customer service center in the front and get new ones for half the price. Super easy and convenient if you're a SodaStreamer! They have self-checkout so you can be in and out without having contact with anyone else if you really wanted to. read more
