Never an easy process to get my meds at any CVS including here, always something that causes a delay to me receiving my medication.

I've always had a great experience at this CVS Pharmacy. The staff is consistently friendly, professional, and genuinely willing to help. One experience, in particular, really stood out. I went to pick up a prescription and found out my out-of-pocket cost would be over $2,000. Instead of simply filling the prescription, the pharmacist took the time to explain that there might be a better option. She contacted my doctor to discuss an alternative medication that would be just as appropriate for my treatment but much more affordable. Thanks to her initiative and care, I ended up paying only about $20 for a medication that served the same purpose. That kind of dedication to patients is rare, and I'm incredibly grateful. It's reassuring to know there are healthcare professionals who truly look out for their patients' well-being, not just fill prescriptions. read more

This negative review of CVS 3010 Bernal Pleasanton is for the pharmacy only. That being said, this negative review is for pharmacist Colette Young. I had the misfortune of dealing with this pharmacy twice in one week, both interactions with unprofessional Colette. Being a disabled senior, she would not answer if my scripts were ready, but in fact, instructed me to walk inside of the store. There is a yellow call button by the pharmacy, which I with my witness, used three or four times. Nothing. A substantial time passes as my doctor is attempting to contact confused Colette. It was not until insurance was on the line, did CVS realize the ace pharmacist did not correctly put in the right mg. It is clear to me that this pharmacist is not doing her job. I deserve better, you deserve better, and CVS deserves better. I do not appreciate an off the cuff I am trying. You are dispensing medications for life threatening conditions. The customer service experience was substandard. The pharmacist Mike at CVS Pharmacy demonstrated markedly unprofessional conduct toward members. As a healthcare professional myself, it is deeply disheartening to witness other healthcare personnel interacting with members in a manner that reflects disrespect, poor communication skills, and insufficient patient-centeredness. Interesting to find a Pleasanton souvenirs stand in CVS. The items are actually pretty good looking and T-shirts were under $20. There is only 1 worker to man the store at around 7:30. Easy to find parking. Many of the CVS smaller sizes pain medication were out of stock. I hope they replenish their inventory better. Staff was friendly. read more

workers Ali and Tiffany stereotyped my and my 2 friends because we are under the age of 18. we were walking around and looking for snacks to eat, when the workers began following us around. we felt uncomfortable so we left. we came back to confront them and see what the problem was. they said we stole something (which we did not) then began getting mad at us when we said we didn't. this store is stupid and these workers need to be reprimanded, reported, and fired for their stereotypical actions. read more

I see a ton of bad reviews for the pharmacy but I wanted to counter-react some of those with my great experience(s). Every time I've been helped the ladies at the desk have been so kind it makes my whole day brighter. I was in the other day and Sohaila and Lucia were absolute angels. I've never seen people act so professional when handling angry people. I officially switched my pharmacy to this one because they are always in stock and sweet. I hope you give them a chance! Went into to get flu shot and was told they would not be giving them today or tomorrow. He said just to try back. I was told yesterday just to come in no appointment necessary. I told him I would just go to safeway. He must have said some snide remark because him and the other girl working there laughed super loud when I walked away. I was the only customer in the pharmacy at the time. Super unprofessional, they should be monitored for their behavior. read more

This place is listed in multiple places as a location that accepts unused medication. The collection bin was overfull and stuck shut. All three pharmacy staff who were on duty at about 5:00 pm today were completely useless, and clearly did not care at all. The best they could say was that I could come back next week and maybe it would be emptied by then. It's telling that this location hasn't had a better than 1-star review in over a year. Given their apathy, I wouldn't trust any of those people to be careful with medications either. read more

Today, I picked up my prescriptions and the service I received from pharmacy was great. However when it came to the regular customer service at the store, it's the worst customer service I encountered "each time" ! Do not use the self check because if you asked for help when pressing the help button, each time they gave me an attitude and made me feel like I was dumb and didn't know how to use the self check. First of all, the store probably needs to replace the self check machine with a more updated one. I didn't know I hade to enter the phone no. In order to use the print out receipt coupon I received earlier. It didn't say I needed to enter the phone after the transaction. The help came and the gentleman I found out later was the store manager was very rude. He asked if I entered the phone no. that had to do that first in order to process the discount. Excuse me, the machine didn't say I had to do that His tone of voice was like scolding a kid when I am actually a senior customer. I said I didn't know I had to enter phone no. He then showed me how he did it correctly but again he was very impatient and was using his key to shuffle the receipt into the slot and then walked away. I had to confront him because i told him he wasn't treating the customer right and made me feel like I am dumb. I told him this isn't the first time I had this bad experience but each time I received an attitude from either from him or another lady there. He should not treat customers with his attitude and not even being helpful. Maybe CVS needs to provide a training to the staff at this store how important it is these days with customer service. I told him I refused to come to this store again even I live close by. I will change pharmacy for all my prescriptions because I don't need this poor customer service. The manager even said, if I find it challenging to use the self check machine, I can always get in line to make my purchase! Now I know what's the problems here with the store, help is for people that are generally smart and not for dumb people like me (that's what the manager was trying to imply). read more

CVS Pharmacy isn't a favorite when it comes to meds or pharmacy needs. for booze it was margainal when it came to beers. wines are another matter. i needed to buy some wines on short notice. as with Safeway et al. CVS also has a quality discount when one buys 6. at CVS, it's not a problem to find 6 as there's a lot of display space and signs are easily legible. at some Safeways, storage space is too cramped, signs not easily read. wasn't easy to find 6 qualifying wines. go to CVS or only the larger Safeways..... read more

I was hoping to have a good experience at CVS in getting RX filled. I went in on Saturday about 5 pm 10/22/2022 and for some reason my insurance wouldn't cover my RX because according to CVS the numbers on my insurance card were wrong. The lady helping me promised me a call back on Monday No Phone call. And no RX. Called today Tuesday 10/25/2022 and the people working there have no idea about the problem. Pissed doesn't even cover my mood right now. Make a promise keep it even if you had bad news always follow through with your promise. So I remain without my prescriptions. read more

This is a Covid Era review for the Drive Through Covid Testing Minute Clinic. Wow, this was impressive! Very few things are executing well in this Covid time, but CVS is nailing the Covid testing process! Efficient online sign up takes minutes. I was texted a video to explain the process just before my appoinment. The self testing appointment was handled very efficiently. I had an 18 minute wait time before I could get my test, but I think this was mostly attributable to the person in front of me I think arriving late and then having another person show up and get a test, something not regular happening there. My appointment took 9 minutes (and part of that was me very slow and careful to administer the test correctly and safely). It was done safely I believe. If medically necessary, Insurance does cover the test! I highly recommend using them if you need to be tested for Covid. read more

This is the first and last time I will use this pharmacy, get there at 1:15 because I know they close at 1:30 and couldn't get my prescription because the pharmacist left for lunch early, how do you operate a business like that. This CVS is convenient, and an easy walk. During the health crisis, it is a plus. Previously, I had filled a prescription, and found the pharmacist on duty to be very helpful, even looking for additional discounts for me. It's a smallish CVS, and I found many items limited in specifics. Sales on many products plentiful. One must, at this time, be flexible. Easy access off Bernal and large parking lot. read more

If you are here for passport photo services and Krystal A. happens to be the one to serve you, my advice is to go elsewhere. Run, as far as you can, especially if you are from a minority race. Maybe try another CVS location, but not this one. I had to drive to this particular CVS as the one I frequent on Santa Rita Road in Pleasanton had camera issues. When I arrived with my family at this particular CVS, I was greeted by a rude Krystal A. who was at that time, tending to the cash register. I told her I was here for passport photos, and she told me that the store is understaffed and that I would have to wait an hour. I understood the situation and obliged, as I have to urgently get the photos out by EOD. She did not expect me to agree with the wait time and became irritated. She then paged a fellow staff to take over cashier duties (this person was nice to us) and then proceeded to take the camera from a drawer behind the counter and begin to provide instructions. So much for the supposedly 1 hour wait. She started with myself, my son, and then my spouse. After the photoshoot was done, I was asked to choose which photos I preferred, and her tone is not one you would expect from someone providing service to a customer. I commented that my son's picture was off-center (his face was tilted) but she insisted that it will pass the photo requirement checks, as the Kodak verification system told her so. I was put in a situation where I did not want to argue due to the hostility I am feeling and did not argue further. Moving on, prior to the photoshoot, I told her that we wanted 10 pieces of passport photos per member, which comes up to a total of 30, for a family of 3. Granted, there may be some misunderstanding during the explanation of the price and numbers required because I ended up getting 60 photos, 20 per person, and she explained that each photo paper contains 2 photos. This issue could have been resolved peacefully with a partial refund. I paid 140+ USD after taxes for 60 photos, of which half of the photos I did not want. She did not provide me the receipt. I had to ask for it and it was crumpled and tossed in the trash. She probably did not want me to be able to return it, or file a complaint using the receipt number. I left, got into the car and was really upset about the experience. I have never been treated like this in a CVS store ever. CVS has always been my go-to pharmacy, and I did not know what to do about it. I sat in the car for a bit and then decided that I am not going to accept this atrocity and I went back into the store, explained why I was unhappy with the service, and Krystal A. told me not to yell at her, which I, for the record, did not. I then left the store again, since i am a non-aggressive person by nature but upon returning to the car and sharing the outcome, my spouse did not accept how it was being handled. I then recalled seeing a sign outside the store, which had the name of the store manager on it. His name was Gary. I went back into the store and asked politely to see store manager Gary and was told by Krystal A. that he was not in today. Thankfully, another CVS employee, Tiffiny happened to be in the vicinity. She immediately took over my case and processed my refund, and respectfully offered her apologies. Tiffiny treated me respectfully like an actual person. Thank you Tiffiny for your professionalism. It was greatly appreciated. I left and got my photos redone at a nearby Walmart. The customer service rendered at Walmart was stellar, and I will be returning in the event I need photos done. What was supposed to be a simple photo taking task ended up making my family really upset. I love CVS, but this awful experience will stick with me for some time. Looking at other reviews here on Yelp, it would be wise to avoid this particular CVS store like the plague. read more

I tried to use several of their coupons I acquired from a previous visit to purchase a few items and all were denied with the claim that they did not work with the phone numbers I have on file. It appears that I have two numbers on file under my name and address and neither worked with the coupons. I drove out of my way to try to purchase a few items with these coupons only to leave them behind quite upset about their uselessness. I will avoid using CVS in the future. I get all my prescriptions filled here & never had any problems. CVS promptly fill & notify me with new Rx using text or reminder call which I love bcs I tend to forget I have to pick up meds. Always great experiences. One when I was at the store Adriana was helping a person before me with such a patience & care, I didn't mind waiting a bit; she was super sweet & helpful. Updating my review, I'm not sure what happened to the original pharm techs, they where great! Now they have a Chinese man who is there every time I come through the drive thru, he was always short and rude to me but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. This last time I went through he cut me off mid sentence & said let me talk. They also didn't have my prescription ready or any record of it after my doctor sent it in a week earlier. All I was trying to tell him is it's ok I'll talk to my doctor about it. But this guy is consistently rude. I will be switching pharmacies because of him. Don't go here! read more

Worst pharmacy experience possible. Theresa was the person in charge at the pick up kiosk. She was unfriendly and extremely unwilling to transfer my prescriptions from another CVS store in Dublin. Have had to return twice to pick up a medication that I received a text for telling me that it was ready. Waited 20 minutes in a drive up line. I did a few times of covid test in different places for travel purpose before and this time with minute-clinic of CVS in Pleasanton store was worse experience. I did my test on Mar 30 afternoon, no result until Apr 1. I kept calling for my result and all operators just asked you to wait and said they have 1-2 days window, until Apr 2 mid night, you just wait. The status in website for my record keeps saying mismatch name which seems it was their operation errors , lousy handlings on patients tests and just waste your time. People relies on the test to do traveling and they just don't care or try anything to help. I will not recommend anyone to do Covid test in minute-clinic of CVS pharmacy. Don't risk your travel plan because of these irresponsible staff in such organization . read more

CVS has the BEST employees working in their store & pharmacy. I want to focus my review on the pharmacy staff because they are the best!! When I'm not feeling well or in a hurry...I use the drive-through window. How convenient! Recently, I came in to pick up a prescription (I have excellent insurance) however this one prescription was extremely expensive, even with insurance. I asked the pharmacist "Are there any online coupons to help offset the cost?" She said "Let me look ." The pharmacists found one!!! She had me download the coupon on my phone, give her the "Promo Code" and My price went from over $100 to $15!! I'm so happy I asked. Adriana called me yesterday to let me know a particular prescription wouldn't be ready until next Wednesday. I need it before then so she told me exactly what to do. I had my Dr. call CVS and today it was ready. Relief! When your not feeling well it's nice to know that the Staff at CVS will fill your prescriptions promptly, answer questions and make sure your medicines don't have any conflict with one another. Don't go here to pick up any meds in drive thru because they do covid testing in the drive thru with barely any signs and the ones they do have are on a small paper that's rolled up that you can't read. Waited 30 min in line to find out when I drove up to the front everyone ahead of me was getting tested for Covid they should be doing ONE or the other do not do both in the same line do not have sick people in the same line as healthy people that are picking up meds for a family member. read more
