I used to go to this Walmart plenty of times in the past when I was younger and still lived in California. This Walmart like all the others had the same issues that never seemed to be resolved no matter how many years have passed. A smelly and filthy parking lot that always reeked of sewage and trash. Poor customer service from employees which is not a shocker as that is a common trend at Walmart. Always messy and dirty aisles that are clobbered with trash and products out of place. A dirty floor that is never cleaned and bathrooms that always reeked of sewage too. Especially the bathroom right near the main entrance which always had a toilet that is out of order and never fixed. This Walmart used to have some good things though from the past from what I remember. Such as having a McDonald's that is now like other reviewers have mentioned, blocked off and empty with nothing in it's place. And then of course theres the pricing and the variety of products that only Walmart carries that most other popular retailers don't. It used to fun going to this Walmart years ago to look at the legos or more specifically the Bionicles when they were still being made and popular in the early 2000's. And it was almost always fun going to the McDonald's here to fill up on food or get an ice cream cone. In the end, I am still not a fan of Walmart and I doubt I ever will be as they all almost always have the exact same issues. read more

It has clothes, toys , stationery, cookware , furniture, OTC medications , medical supplies, beauty supplies , dental care products, hair care products, skin care etc . You name it , Walmart has it . Now in December it has a few selection of Christmas gifts . Today I saw some soup and soup bowls gift sets , Hillshire sausages and cheese gift sets and many others . I never thought I'd be giving a Walmart 5 stars, but then this is for the photo printing service they have. I needed some prints of images I had on my phone and I was stopped having lunch in Dublin nearby, so I figured I'd have my pictures printed while I have lunch. Basically, all you have to do is upload your images from either your computer or phone to the Walmart store location site, select the size you need. They even print stuff up to 8 x 10, but all I wanted were the standard 4 X 5 size. Those prints were just 16 cents each, that's a deal these days! Plus, the prints are ready to pick up in just 1 hour! I never used this service before so I was curious as to how well it would work out. I went into the store after lunch and wandered my way back to the photo and electronics section. There just happen to be an employee at the station. I've read other reviews, that had trouble even finding just someone there to help out. I guess I was lucky! They found my order and just handed them to me in a blue Walmart photo envelope. You pay online when you place your order. I opened the envelope and looked at the pictures. Wow, perfect prints on matte paper. Color balance and brightness were exact match to my digital pics. I just needed some prints to give to a friend that has no way to view digital pictures. Yeah, they're car pics! I really like this photo service, I'd use it again! read more

I grew up shopping at this Walmart with family on the weekends. Sad to say that it's a fraction of what it used to be. There is no fast food chain renting out a part of the store that would greet you upon entry. What used to be a McDonald's is now a blocked off vacant space. Most of the store hasn't been changed in years. The shoe section is exactly where I remember it being and everything else has been practically the same since they remodeled what seems like 15 to 20 years back. What stood out the most to me regarding new development was that they now sell Krispy Kreme donuts which they claim are fresh and delivered daily for purchase. Other than that, the store hasn't changed aside from their employees and due to theft, a lot of things are now locked up where you need an employee to get the item for you to make the purchase. It has the usual selection that you can expect from any Walmart and is a much better location to shop at then, some of the others miles away. As a result, this location gets a 3/5. read more

This is the closest Walmart to where I live and it's not very close, and it is a rare occasion when I do shop here. However, I do like that on a Saturday morning. I can shop at 6 AM and return home before anybody is awake. I have been to Walmart during the day and anytime that is later than the early morning is not my favorite time to go because of the other customers. Other than that this morning I was able to find the perfect hair bands that hold my super thick hair for a pretty good price there was Apple parking and none of the other customers were bothering me. had a very disappointing experience at the Walmart Pleasanton Auto Tire & Battery shop. Yesterday, I spoke with an employee who told me to bring my Audi Q7 today and they would check the battery. When I arrived, I was told to wait for a mechanic named Lavpreet Singh. I waited in my car for about 45 minutes, only to be informed later by another employee that he had already left for the day without even checking my car or letting me know. This was a complete waste of my time and fuel, and it shows a lack of respect and professionalism toward customers. We were checking out at self check out as spark shoppers and one of the employees came and tried to rush us to get bags and go outside and bag your items. I was well aware that they can't ask us to do that either way if you are shopping for yourself or as a spark shoppers. Another employee name Akash he came and talked rudely with me and telling us that you are holding the line. There was regular Walmart shoppers they didn't ask anyone but us just because we were shopping for spark. Later on Akash started using bad words and started arguing with my husband while I went to look for a manager. I also spoke with Jay manager he apologized for the situation. Just a quick update. L O C A T I O N Walmart Supercenter is located off of Hacienda Dr & Owens Dr. It's right off of 580 which is very convenient. There is a large parking lot which is pretty standard for a Walmart or at least the larger ones. I N S I D E It's large inside and pretty standard in terms of Walmarts. I generally go to Walmart specifically for fiber gummies and sometimes just generic version of medication if I'm already there. This time I just got the fiber gummies. Payment is at the cashiers of self check out which is nice. O V E R A L L I don't typically go here but when it's in the area of work and I need to run an errand like fiber gummies pick up, then it's convenient. read more

I'd give a half star if I could.! This Walmart is about the most screwed up store of the bay area Walmart locations. The Help button on the Pharmacy Isle hasn't worked for the past two months. I was in the store today at lunch hour today and they only had two registers open. After standing in a long line they called for another clerk to open check stand #10. I go over and wait for 15 minutes, it and wait and wait. I finally threw groceries on their dam counter and left. The manager is an idiot for not having more two registers open during lunch! People are so harsh on Walmart stores! This retailer operates at low prices and caters to a very specific low income or cost savings seeking type of customer. This is not Target folks, the aisles aren't going to look high end nor is it always going to look organized and tidy but that's what you get when you shop at a place like this. Sure it's not the prettiest store to look at and things are often misplaced, but for what it is I think its a great store with really hard working staff just trying to do their job and make a living. I've seen customers give the staff here a lot of attitude and in my opinion it's unjustified. Working retail is VERY difficult especially during the holidays, please be respectful to the workers at all Walmarts, this is a hard job and people are just trying to get by. I came to this location for Christmas decorations in their garden area. They have low prices for ornaments all things considered. The stuff here isn't the greatest quality however it's simple and stocked enough. This location has plenty of parking! They have a very tiny produce section though I wish they would expand the fresh food section. The man in the front that checks your receipt is a ray of sunshine by the way, you just cant be sad when you see him smile and wish you a happy holidays, and he means it when he says it too. Second time in any Walmart Super center and was quite shocked. Only one entrance and one exit per double door, messy isles, and most everything is broken or damaged in each isle. There's a reason why many use Walmart as the last resort, for the some of the many reasons I've described. Store itself: Large store, lots of typical house hold items, clothes, toys, food, automotive, and outdoor/garden area. You can find generic items here in a pinch, but make sure to look them over before buying them as many items are dented or broken. Layout is very weird with items that are spread all over, not in any orderly format. Service: If you do find help, its great. Finally found an associate and she was ready to help pulled out her device and showed me where a particular item was. Great. Overall: A very cluttered, messy, and just dirty store, with dim lighting and just a unclean feel to here. Would only recommend this store if you cant find anything elsewhere. read more

I have a love-hate relationship with this location. I'm tired of everything being locked up, especially beauty products. They have 1 person working the area to unlock the cabinets who was also the cashier. You can't get your products if the person who is supposed to unlock the cabinet is working as a cashier! Happy New Year!!! Excellent help from Alex here - had to purchase an enormous amount of alcohol for an event recently and he efficiently got me out of the store quick. Usually people celebrate with some adult beverages - sometimes if I buy a six pack I will just grab whatever at Safeway and pay a dollar more - but if your buying in bulk better pricing becomes more of a priority. Usually I do self check out but its not possible with alcohol. A few lanes were open all with similar looking lines but I closely examined which cashier looked most on the ball. I wanted somebody alert and really alive. Found a line that was moving very fast. Next it was my turn. I put all my purchases on the belt - and I must have looked like some greedy panic shopper who cleared the shelves of all the beer. Usually I like to go to Bevmo for my bulk judgement free alcohol purchase - not sure how I really ended up here that day. Ohhhhh it was probably to look for a new magnet screen for my door as the puppers were teething on my old one... Worst Walmart I have been to. Ordered TWO photos at the one hour print. As it was time to pick up, waited for about 30 minutes and not one associate around. Asked around 3-4 employees for help. No one ever came over to assist. Tried calling Walmart on the phone Walmart phone number 4 times and each time it range for 5 minutes with no answer. Two customers already gave up after waiting 20 minutes before us. Have no seen one employee in the photo / electronic section. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE GOING FOR ELECTRONICS OR PHOTOS, GO TO A DIFFERENT STORE!!!! Everytime I use the self checkout I am being harassed by this one employee. I can't begin to pronounce his name. He Appears to be from Pakistan or Afghanistan I'm not sure. When ever I go to the self checkout and he's there he's watching me. I feel very uncomfortable. It's like he will be outside my house or something trying to look in my window. That's the kind of vibe he puts out. Not that he is looking through my window but he has that creepy look about himself. Or maybe he just think I'm a thief. Aweful, aweful & more aweful !!!!! Never going to buy here again. Waited 35 minutes at automotive register to return our old battery, because we purchased a new one there at Walmart. NO employee ever came to the auto area. I then used my phone to get assistance ... I phoned three different extensions ~ let it ring 1 1/2 minutes AND NO ONE PICKED UP!!!! REALLY, NOT EVEN THE MAIN LINE OPERATOR!!! HOW IRRESPONSIBLE OF A STORE!! Fortunately, another customer that was waiting... (There were five of us that needed assistance... But I was there first by at least 15 minutes)... the customer mentioned I could just go up to the front main return desk and return the battery. Therefore I had to go to the front of the store exit go all the way back to automotive get other returns I had, then go all the way to the front of the store again.... However, a Customer should be able to speak to car tech at end of $400+ car work to just ask a question. That does not make me a difficult customer. CA telling me no, then Tech not answering your question and raising his hands up screaming while walking away, not someone you should defend and does not make me difficult. Most importantly beware of mega sales in food items. They sell their expired products with mold pretty cheap. It can kill you if you consume it. Never buy baby food from this store. Hot tip, the Push For Associate button at the LOCKED back wall with all the Lego toys does nothing (at least today it didn't!). The manager April here is awful, she has zero customer service skills or may be she is just racist and chooses to misbehave with only a certain demographic. We waited 45 min in line for a return and they couldn't do it because their system glitched out and we were told by her coworker William that we can resolve it by calling customer service and circling back after shopping at the store and at that point we can skip the line(a conversation April didn't just overhear but participated in). We had the great misfortune of William being on break when we returned and when we tried to go in front of the line a customer inquired how we can do it and we very politely explained that we were their before and due to a technical problem had to come back and that why we were told we can skip the line. At this point another customer threw up her hand in the air and left, at this point April started going off on us that we made a customer leave, mind you we didn't say anything to the customer who left, she also said she isn't bound by the promise that William made so we can just wait for William to return. At this point an argument ensued and she was not solving the issue at all but just kept getting angry and refusing us service. Another employee eventually stepped in and helped up and we were out of the store but the interaction left a very bitter impression and I plan on launching a formal complaint with corporate over the treatment we received because it's was entirely unnecessary yet so horrible. One of the better, if not - very few Wal-Marts that caters to a clean & easy-breezy bargain experience for all to endure & enjoy. Despite its central and convenient location in the heart of the Tri-Valley region of inland Alameda County, many flock to this location from all over the county due to its safe & secure neighborhood that it's located in, as well as always having items in stock, unlike the other Wal Mart locations along the 880 corridor. Neat displays, and a more organized clientele & inventory is what drives people to visit & spend their hard-earned money at the Pleasanton store. It's a lot easier to navigate its aisles & various sections, in addition to running into courteous, friendly, and helpful associates that make it a smoother transaction at the end when you're ready to pay for your purchases - whether at the self-check out, or traditional registers. I usually hit up this store whenever I'm in the area, and in need of a quick Wal Mart run for household essentials & cleaning items, or if I just need a restroom pit stop LOL. They have a spacious parking lot, which is shared by different stores, services, and restaurants - and they also have a McDonald's inside the store, if you're craving some McCafe beverages and/or some McNuggets! Can't go wrong with getting a snack while you're doing your shopping! Highly recommended to do your Wal Mart run here! read more

Honestly the people that work here are all doing great. They got people folding clothes, hanging clothes, sweeping floors, a person taking carts off the parking lot and sanitizing them. They got a person at customer service. They got an employee for everything. Clearly they have a great team working hard maintaining the store while servicing customers. The employees that work here value their job by putting in hard work and giving great service. Nickolas who is team leader was doing excellent . He was multitasking at the registers, helping customers and an employee who I believe needed help at his register while tasking another employee at self check out and just doing an excellent job especially since there was a crazy amount of traffic around 8:30 pm on Sunday. He gave great service to the customer ahead of me and myself as well. I hope he's getting paid well for his job because he was doing a 3 mans job and quickly. The only problem i see with the store are the customers. Customers have no respect for the place they shop. An employee finish folding everything and I see a customer completely unorganized it. Its unfortunate that these employees have to work extra hard because some customers ruthless and just don't care.
