Bought the noodles yesterday and they already got moldy today. Very disappointed with the quality and freshness.

a pack of fresh noodles from 99 Ranch

I purchased a pack of fresh noodles from 99 Ranch today and was very disappointed to find they were completely moldy upon opening. The package was within its printed expiration date, so this was clearly a spoilage or storage issue. I have attached a photo as proof--the mold is very visible and the product was clearly unsafe to eat. I had to throw the entire package away, wasting both the product and my money. I expect much better quality control for fresh items. I hope management sees this and checks their inventory to prevent others from having the same experience.

I never thought that 99 RANCH is a big Asian supermarket and selling a bad quality seafood in this location. I bought around two pounds of salmon for my cat for $5.99 per pound but my cat didn't eat it, but it ate before with the same kind of salmon I bought from other 99 Ranch location, only this time (salmon) smells bad.

I've been to a fair share of 99 Ranch Markets. I was under the impression that this was the "newest" 99 Ranch in the area and I think it is, but they're utilizing a place that was probably there for years and didn't really renovate it to make it feel "new." Which is fine and dandy if you're just really just wanting to take over a place, but it would've been nice to just give it a bit of a refresh. Going in, it did feel "old." Now did it feel less crowded? Yes. Did it feel like it had fairly the same amount of reasonable items as other 99 Ranch markets? Kind of. I felt like it was relatively sized, but not the largest 99 Ranch Markets I've been to. They did have your standard items as well as the bakery and hot food area which is always a plus. The parking situation was rough. The lines JUST fit my car so if you're lugging around a larger vehicle that's wide, you're definitely going to have to take a little over one spot. There's a lot of parking spots, but it is shared by all the other shops in the area. Like others, it did feel more "clean" and organized than other 99 Ranch markets. So it's a nice calm experience and a nice option for an asian grocery store. I'll have to revisit the Dublin location again to compare and contrast, but it was not a bad spot, just wish it felt a little more new i.e. like the one on Mission Blvd. in Fremont.

Great easy and fast shopping experience. Unique goods - large sea food market toward the back. Pleasant shopping experience. Not crowded and almost no wait to check out. This isn't the largest 99 Ranch I've seen - but it still seems to have almost everything that the others do. Unique goods - Hello Kitty cookies and toilet paper or paper towels. If your looking for funny Christmas gag gifts I don't think you could find anything much better. Large sea food section in the back. When you walk around it is a very very intense aroma of seafood. You might feel as if your by the ocean on Fisherman's Wharf. Store was very organized and clean. Shelves stocked beautifully. Only improvement would be to maybe clean near the registers - the spot after food gets scanned and before it gets bagged. It didn't look to good - but it could just be worn paint or worn counter area that can't be cleaned. The kid brother loves these stores and so I'm familiar. I think it makes him feel less homesick to get familiar stuff that he grew up around. East West bank or whatever its called is up front. What more can I say? If you've never been to one of these markets you need to give it a try. Prices seemed very reasonable and overall convenient.

Check your receipts! Incorrect item at 1.62 lbs.

They leave the water running in the hot food bar area (next to the tables) which is very wasteful. There needs to be a better alternative.

    Open on Christmas Day?

Dear Harvey, thank you so much for your inquiry. On the Christmas Day, our stores business hours may differ. We would recommend to contact the store at 925-463-8899 directly for more details. Thank you so much for your question.

Why do they always pack the junk underneath?

    I've had the same experience

Do they carry kaffir lime leaf?

I don't recall seeing them being sold at any of the tri-valley 99 ranches..but you might call to see if you can special order them maybe.

    Do they sell fresh longanisa?

I've never seen it there myself, just the frozen ones. But, 99 ranches due vary alittle in terms of selections. So you might just have to call around to see if they do or not.

Do they have Louisiana crawfish boiling powder?

Not sure but I know they have those at Walmart and Luckys

If I remember correctly, they get some of their seafood locally, from Pillar Point Harbor, by Half Moon Bay. Other fish come from farther afield but quality and cost control is reasonable given the fact that seafood is expensive. I've never been led astray. Order at the counter, find a seat, and food will be delivered to your table. Never had their pasta before. Finally tried their fettuccine. Instead of Alfredo sauce, substituted with butter sauce. Selected shrimp with crab. OMG! So good. Pasta was perfectly al dente. Hate mushy pasta. This pasta was fully cooked but still had texture. The butter sauce was generously studded with garlic. Shrimp were large and plump. Fully cooked but not rubbery at all. Next time, will skip the crab which disintegrated into the sauce. Go all shrimp or maybe try with fish. The fried clam strips appetizer was a huge portion and totally unnecessary. The fettuccine was enough of a meal by itself. In fact, was so full after the clams, took most of the fettuccine home. Even as leftovers, the shrimp and fettuccine was so delicious for dinner the next day. To cap it off, staff from the head chef to the cashier/server were so friendly and helpful. They genuinely seem happy to work here. Only 1 suggestion, they should add a few TVs for World Cup viewing.

First of all, the ambience of this shop is really cool. They have a bunch of specialty grocery items all around the store of stuff that I've never seen before. The staff was super friendly and everyone really seemed passionate of what they were doing. It gave off a homey/cozey vibe. The sandwiches my wife and I tried were the Loaded Market Special, Market Special and the Padrino. Everything was well put together and all the ingredients complemented one another. Our favorite out of the 3 was the loaded Market Special. If you like a little spice I would highly recommend trying this one. The lettuce and sauce balanced out the saltiness of the pastrami and the bread was fresh. The cheese was nice and gooey and gave off a perfect pull. The size of the sandwich was perfectly sized. Not too big and not too small. If you're on a time crunch I'd recommend ordering ahead on the phone as they can get a little busy.

Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with our experience. We ordered the exact same sandwiches we had seen featured on TikTok, but what we received looked noticeably different and honestly wasn't nearly as impressive. The sandwiches were fine, but for the price, I expected a lot more, especially after seeing what was advertised online. I also found the experience at the sandwich counter a little underwhelming. I've seen several Yelp reviews mention how welcoming and friendly the staff are, but that unfortunately wasn't my experience. No one acknowledged me at the counter, even though they weren't particularly busy at the time. It just didn't feel very welcoming. Overall, I don't feel like the price reflects what you actually get in person. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but based on this experience, I probably wouldn't go back.
