Generally this location is clean, well organized and the staff is courteous. My issue is with the understaffed pharmacy. The wait time and line can get pretty insane and there's usually only one cashier working at any given time. I'm glad that this pharmacy isn't the kind that forces consults on all medications (I'm looking at you, Walgreens Mountain View on Grant Rd.) This location is the most convenient for me, especially since this location has a drive-thru. I just wish that they could run the pharmacy in a way that helps things move a little faster. read more

I recently picked up items for a customer. The older lady working there kept insisting for the customer's phone number to register him with a Walgreens savings card. She would say, "that's would I would do if I cared about my customers and wanted to save them money." First of all, if the customer has a Walgreens card, the business he is ordering through already has it and it gets applied. Secondly, whether the customer has one or not is none of our business. The reason why he may not have one is none of our business. Lastly, I don't have his phone number and even if I did, I am in NO position to sign up for one on his behalf. I've started using this location when a closer one closed down. The service has never been the best and now gotten much worse. I have over the last few years showed up to pick up my RX and it is no ready or the claim they never got the order. Today I stopped, no RX for me, I showed them my text stating ready to pick up. Newer Walgreens. Great wine deals. Very clean pleasant store and surrounding areas.Car cleaner, dog toys and wine were great finds. Surrounding areas are new houses and a fire station. Thats great if there is an emergency. The low prices on alcohol might get an older person a bit too excited. The whole neighborhood is newer and clean. Car care aisle carried some things I don't think I'd normally find at a Walgreens. They were priced half off as were so many items in the store. Gotta get the old stuff out to make room for new items. Wine aisle is a highlight. Such great variety and prices. Stocked up on some Veuve clicquot - normally expensive but here its within reach of almost anybody - especially for special occasions. Cashiers were quick even with substantial line. That is one of the reasons I like Walgreens - i feel like I can pop in and out without it having to be a whole afternoon like a Costco trip would be. read more

I had a horrible experience at this Walgreens and will never come back to this location. The woman who assisted me couldn't find my photo order, and I had to literally point out the envelope on the shelf to show her where it was (note: I do not work there yet I even could find my order.) Then, the woman couldn't even ring me up nor knew how to work the register. The rest of the staff saw that she was struggling, and didn't step in to help. I was there a solid 15 minutes waiting for the woman to find my order and complete the purchase process. Then, we went to the pharmacy to get "free flu shots" as advertised, and yet another rude woman told us they weren't free, (we even had insurance) and she tried to charge us $75 per vaccine. She rolled her eyes at us when we told her other drugstore locations don't charge us for free flu shots. We drove to Kaiser after this incident and got our free vaccines with no questions or judgement. What a joke. This place is run by a bunch of people who do not know what they are doing. Visited here for a flu shot midafternoon in a Tuesday. I made an appointment about 40 minutes prior to showing up to the store. This is the best Walgreens experience I've had in quite some time. Their pharmacy staff was very efficient, there was no large line or long wait. I was in and out in 15 minutes. The Pleasanton Walgreens every time I've visited for a flu shot had always taken 1+ hours to complete. I was quite satisfied that this location was quick and efficient. I didn't need to do any shopping, but it appeared they had plenty of staff available on the floor stocking it ready to help out customers. The store also appeared clean, and well stocked. read more

After making an appointment, receiving numerous confirmations, and driving 20 minutes to this pharmacy because it was the only location nearby with pediatric COVID vaccines, when we got there and checked in they told us they didn't actually have the vaccine. This Walgreens does not deserve my business. Not only is the pharmacy operations manager ridiculously rude, she seems to think that Walgreens will go out of business for accepting discount cards on prescriptions. I went to pick up my prescription today. When I mentioned that I had a discount card, she looked irritated. Insisted that I had to pay $33 because of my deductible. Then when I showed her the card where the price should be $20, she did not bother to tell me what she was going to do: acknowledge the discount or not. She walks around the pharmacy talks to another person, orders me to click the device to acknowledge what was on the pin pad screen. She could not be bothered to explain what she was doing. Then she rings the prescription at $26 and I asked why the $20 could not be accommodated, she just said that that's what shows up and that I may have already used the discount card. The prescription was prescribed to me for the first time by my Doctor today. :( The same person refused to price match the same items in Walgreens.com when I went to the store. If I wasn't busy that day, I would've cancelled my purchase to go online and do a pick up order. Duh. My family and I have been a loyal customers. Thank goodness for this Walgreens store, the only one in San Ramon. This store is so young - roughly about merely 3 years old, so expectedly the store has a newer look from the outside. This store m provides a good amount of parking space, making it convenient for shoppers. The inside of the store has always looked very nice, clean and tidy. The shelves are well stocked and the products are very nicely organized. The store has never been too crowded so it always makes a nice shopping experience for its customers. Moreover, the staff at this location are super nice and very friendly - they ask you if you need help with anything when they see you wandering around, and the staff at the cashier are always ready to help if you have any questions about pricing. I visited this store because I'd been looking for KitKat with 2020 Halloween special flavor - the witch's brew. It's a KitKat in marshmallow-flavored white chocolate coating. I'd been looking for this item almost everywhere but I couldn't find it. But thank goodness this Walgreens had it - on top of that, they had it on sale! Yay. This is by far my least favorite Walgreens! I only go now if I'm really desperate for a last minute item, but we are talking really desperate. It's close to home where I could literally walk to it, but I'd rather go somewhere farther than to deal with this place. The front end workers were alright when I interacted with them. But, the pharmacy was just plain awful. The staff is unfriendly and the techs are just so rude. I'm always so amazed by their poor customer service. It's clear they treat patients that way because they aren't competent in the work they do so they need to put up a front like that. It's so sad because I used to work for Walgreens many years ago and I would never have tolerated how the pharmacy staff conduct themselves. RUDE AND INCONSIDERATE! I made an appointment for a shot at the pharmacy through the Walgreens app. I received confirmation email saying it was at 5pm today. When I showed up the technician said "No your apt is tomorrow". As I showed them the confirmation email on my phone which clearly said today, they responded with,"No it's actually tomorrow, we have to order it still". This Walgreens is the closest and most convenient for me. However, this store is a lot smaller than their Alcosta and Danville stores. Their inventory is extremely limited and most items that are advertised in their sales ad are not even in stock. This store has friendlier employees than the other locations. I'm not sure if it's because I frequent this store so much. Lol. Silly me. I've been to this store over 50 times; but, just started to check in. I'm usually running in and out, so still forget to do so. It would be nice if this Walgreens extended their summer hours to 10:30 pm instead of 10 pm. I know it's just a 30 minute difference; but, people run in minutes before closing. AK is usually very personable and Mark was very friendly (he was great at their Danville store too). Had to go get my thyroid medicine today at Walgreens and pharmacy employees no gloves no masks! A couple Staff in the store had only mask sitting around their necks and not worn properly. Pharmacy person who answered the phone sounded like don't care. He didn't listen and wanted to blame me for not reading the medication notes where the change is "notified" to the patient. He verbally threatened myself and my elderly mother and created an unsafe environment in a public place/store. READ BELOW: We came here like we always do to use the chime banking services in which you need to go to the cash register to complete transactions such as a deposit/withdraw that is over the ATM limit. Staff MRUDULA & ROJARD completely denied the FACT that Chime banking was a service available at this location and they laughed in our faces and said chime banking does not exist when in FACT it DOES and is a service at their store. This store already has a history of bad customer service and has treated customers like sh*t. This Walgreens has no sense of customer service and does not respond properly for their own misgivings. I had placed photo order with them and I get a text from them saying order is ready to pick up. After few minutes I get call saying order has to be canceled. When I called back again the lady said there is nothing they can do, don't want to talk to me and put down the phone saying it's not "her problem". I was looking for help if order can be transferred to another store. Luckily I called walgreens customer service who helped me with this. read more

The one star is for the staff that is kind & for their attempts to be helpful. Walgreens is the most frustrating pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They think people can drive to their pharmacy multiple times a day/week in an attempt to get their prescriptions that were promised to be filled. Only to get there at the time agreed upon to find out nothing is ready. That happens 90% of the time with my 3 prescriptions. Oh, use the delivery option? That will annoy you even more. You pay for the promised same day delivery to get it 7 days later via fed ex. I wish I was exaggerating. I finally understand why patients are noncompliant with their medications. Because they can't get them. In the Walgreens world it is 1825, not 2025. I have no hope that Walgreens will do better. These issues have been ongoing for years, hence the bad review after I finally can't take it anymore. I am now one of the noncompliant patients without meds. read more

I was raised in San Ramon and lived there all my life until I moved for college. My family moved to Windemere when it was brand new back in 2005. The site where this Walgreens is, is where they held the neighborhood meet-and-greet before construction was even done on our homes haha. Literally on this site there was a BBQ event as an introduction to the new community. It's so weird when I go home to visit to see how much the area has changed. Anywho, I stopped by this Walgreens last month to pick up some essentials. Not bad for a local drug store. Found everything I needed fast and easy. Nicest people I should say This is my go to pharmacist and pharmacy techs, they are accommodating, quick, polite Comparing it to the pharmacist at CVS in Blackhawk which is across the street from me--- I drive the additional 10 minutes to San Ramon for Walgreens. I have an allergy to certain brands-- and Walgreens will special order things for me. CVS does not communicate well and is a stickler for whatever they want to do. read more

Like this place as it is at very convenient location , open late night. Even though Safeway and other shops are few blocks away, this location has well staffed so I can get help and check out quickly. All items are nicely arranged and I primarily go here for any over the counter medicine. This location has pharmacy which is where I go for prescription and any immunization vaccines. They also have COVID vaccination appointments. Other than medicine, they have many other things which I need for emergency like milk, soda, wine, water as well as pet food. They have sections with beauty products and personal care items. Things may not be cheaper like in Walmart or amazon but for me those are not overpriced and available immediately when I needed. read more

Very poor customer service. This is the second incident that we came for passport photo , we called first and everything is ok when we got there , they said the camera is not working. This is the same reason they gave us before. On the other hand while waiting for our kids transacting about their. Passport photo , my husband needs to use the bathroom badly, do we ask the cashier for the bathroom code but he said that they will be the one to open it we just need to wait at the bathroom. This store needs help. If you have signs out in the parking lot that you have curb side pickup than it should be correct. Well I placed a order on line for curb side pickup and nothing so I called the store to say I'm parked in the parking lot in front of sign 1 . ( they never have people working, the line is always long , best time to go would be when they first open maybe you will get lucky that your in and out.) Anyways they told me that they no longer do curbside pick up and I ask since when they say for a month now. BS I just picked up an item two weeks ago. So they tell me I need to go inside to pick up my item annoying. So I go in and ask I'm here to pick up my item and one worker says ok let me go check so she tells someone else and that person goes to the back to check and it's been 10-15 minutes now that I'm waiting, finally the person comes back and says that they don't have the item that I ordered and no replacement. 1why didn't it say that on line that it's not in stock. 2 why isn't everyone that works at Walgreens in the loop.
