The manager at CVS at 900 N. Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA DOES NOT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE. He's from a foreign country and insulted me when I was buying a product he had to price check. The one Black, female clerk at the cash register was so scared that she wouldn't answer my questions when I asked about why the manager was taking so long to help me. Glad to see I'm not the only one commenting about the horrible service here. I can say the front staff are very nice from my previous experiences. The pharmacy-- my God -- really? Eye rolls, could give a F--k attitude, talking shit right in your face, " oh yeah she's the one that needs this -- eyeroll -- I don't know." They need their asses fired so fast it's not even funny. It also gives you a heads up on being a smarter consumer. Yes, we all want to cuss them out but when you realize the simplicity of yanking your subscriptions and bringing them to another more professional place, why waste the energy? Clearly the owner of the franchise could give a shit less. Lord if I owed a business and had all theses bad reviews I have someone in there pronto, for the behavior to go on tells you they don't care about you. My wife and I have been using CVS Pharmacy for years. The staff knows us well and have been nothing but friendly - It's wonderful to be known and remembered by staff. They are quite efficient and I trust their professionalism. Stephanie is quite smart, capable, and professional. The staff almost never makes mistakes, and if they do are quick to rectify. I simply trust them. The only reason I take a star off is because of having to wait in line to get help. Not fun but worth the wait. read more

On Sunday 2/12/12 Ok so I've given this store so many chances, but this last time. I went there to get a disposable didital camera because my daughther Sami was going to church camp for the week end and wanted to bring back some memories....right??? Well I asked for help telling the clerk that I was looking for this camera, she told me that they were out. Ok so I picked up a $9.00 digital camera and asked is this all I need to buy or did I need batteries, she took the package from me and look at the back of it and told me I would not only need batties but a pentiuem 2 prosser or something like that to make it work, but when I read the back I think it was saying that I would need that to get the pictures from the camera I'm not sure but thats why I asked them... the (photo experts) when I asked them that's what I need just to take pictures? the women told me yes. I was press for time so I couldn't go looking around so I just picked up a regular disposable camera (35mm) Ok fine well when she came back from her trip I went there to get the pictures developed on a Sunday around 3pm I went to the photo shop counter and stood there for about 5min. when no one came to help me I was told by one of the clerks that I would have to get in the regular line of about 9 people deep. With only one clerk at the regesters it took about another 5min. before she called for help. When I finely made it to the regester that clerk told me to hold on I need to go to the photo counter and they would call some one over to help. Well after a few minutes a clerk finely show up to help. I told her I can get hour and she agreed. When I came back to pick my order I went through the same thing all over agian this time when they called for help the girl looked like was coming off her brake or still on it cause she had on a hoody with a soda and chips in her hand she put them down and gave me my photos an rang me up, she seem agitated with me and Sami, I asked if we could look at them and she responed with sure go ahead she seem very aggravated with us, we felt rushed! when we got home Sami notice that there was what looked like she had a lip ring on one of the pictures of her. We thought that maybe some thing was on the lens, but when we looed at the negatives we notice that they had scrached one of the negatives. well needless to say I will never go back there agian!!!! read more

I came in to this CVS today along with my mother and aunt and had a very unpleasant situation at the pharmacy. There is a RACIST pharmacist working here, she appears to be Armenian and her name begins with an N. I won't even try spelling it out... We are a Mexican family. My aunt was there to buy some Claritin D which you need to ask for over the counter. When we arrived a Caucasian lady was at the register picking up a medication, this was at about 6:01 or 6:02pm. As we waited, my aunt began looking at an aisle directly across from the pharmacy, when the Caucasian lady walked away from the register my aunt approached to ask for her medicine and this Armenian pharmacist answered with a rude tone "We're closed!" This was only a minute or two after she helped the Caucasian lady, exactly at 6:04pm so my aunt was thrown off. I was a few feet away, but when I heard this I knew I had to step in. I approached and said "But you just helped out the other lady!" And the pharmacist replied "Our computers shut off automatically." I then said "it's 6:04 and hasn't even been two minutes since you helped out that other customer." She obviously didn't know what to do or say at that point so she turned over to what I assume was her supervisor (An Asian young man) and he told her to just take my aunts order. She had no problem helping out the Caucasian lady even if it was past 6pm, but when my aunt approached to ask for her medicine the pharmacist tried to turn her away. I remained next to my aunt for the entire transaction and the pharmacist was making faces in my direction, she was obviously upset. As I turned away I said out loud "RACIST!" and she automatically began to close the pharmacy down. As we walked away I could hear her talking about us to her supervisor and said "Such an attitude!" I heard this and replied to her "That was rude of you!" I have had it with this White Privilege and White Favoritism! This was ridiculous, that lady should not be working there if she cannot handle helping out a diverse clientele. My family is no different from the Caucasian lady who was helped out literally a minute or two before us, so why did she have to try turning my aunt away? I'm not sure who to speak about this situation, but I strongly advise you guys talk to that pharmacist. She deserves to face the consequences, if not even be fired. It's 2018, I know Trump is unfortunately in the White House, but if you're working as a pharmacist in customer service you need to know how to have respect! read more

Stopped in to buy some water, paid with a debit and got $10 cash back. Decided to put $5 of it into their lotto machine, the bill got jammed and I motioned the clerk for assistance. Someone came over to see if the money was visible enough to pull out, it wasn't, so the clerk called the manager. Manager was called, but never came down, just told the clerk to take my name and number. Said there was nothing they could do to retrieve it until the guy came to service the machine next week. I couldn't believe it! $5?! Really? I asked the clerk to call the manager. She did, and he reiterated what he had said earlier while watching me on the store surveillance camera as I waited. Again, I asked the clerk to call him to come down, she handed the phone to me and I turned and looked dead into the surveillance camera as I spoke to show I wasn't leaving. He reluctantly came down, with attitude in tow. Told me he didn't know me and didn't know what I had put into the machine. I realize they have issues with the homeless or shoplifters, but he made me feel like a common criminal for asking for my money back! I couldn't believe that I had to leave my name and number for $5 that I wouldn't be able to get back for another week, and would have to drive from Ventura to Pasadena retrieve. Absolute absurdity! After calling him out as being unacceptable, he finally pulled out a $5 bill from the safe, handed it to me with an insult. As I walked out, he followed me out to the parking lot and eye balled me! What a loser. They will never see me again and as far as that manager goes, I'm sorry that you hate your job, but get some customer service skills or find another job, and get rid of the worthless lotto machine while you're at it. In the past, I had received terrific customer service. Today, that changed for me. I received horrible customer service at the Pharmacy. They couldn't fill the prescription (due to some law change they say) and then even said that they don't accept "controlled substance" prescriptions from my dad's doctor. When I asked about that, the stellar pharmacy representative got defensive and dismissed me. Well so much for the customer at CVS Pharmacy. We had words that were not so cool. I've already suggested that they make improvements in the customer service training since their representative(s) seem to not be able to handle valid questions in a congenial manner. I will not go to this or any other CVS for a very long time to come. Easy choice to make after the treatment there. Thanks CVS for the great customer service of the past. read more

i made a quick stop here to buy eye drops because my eyes have been really red and i must have pop an eye vessel from using the computer and reading to long on it..i couldn't decide what eye drops to get and after staying in the eye drop section for nearly a half hour i realized they all said the same thing: They will get the RED OUT" so i decided to ask a sales clerk which one and i was lucky enough to find one immediately, she told me which one to buy and i finally was done and they did work within an hour so i was happy and she was very helpful. This review is for the Pharmacy and its staff not the rest of the store. I have never ever seen a Pharmacy worse than this place. Too many things happened here so I'll list them. 1) Doctor ordered my medication, I went to pick it up later that day and got told that it needs to be reordered because it was not filled in the first place. (I have no idea what reorder means in their context) 2) Went back 3 days later, and they said it needs to be reordered (yes again) 3) went back 4 days later and they said it was never ordered, therefore now it needs to be really REordered. I am not joking 4) went back a couple days later, they said it needs to be reordered because it is not in the system, when I started losing my patience with them someone went in the back and magically found my prescription ready to be handed to me. Just to clarify, this is the 4th time they are telling me that it needs to be reordered. I don't think they even know what the word reordered means they just keep on saying it. 5) Girlfriend ordered brith control online, went to pick it up, order nowhere to be found, has to be ordered and wait 30 minutes to be filled. 6) Called on the phone to get automatic refills done, automatic refill center won't accept the refill saying it is too early, but it was not, asked to talk to pharmacist, got put on hold, had to hang up after 25 minutes and 33 seconds of waiting. Just go somewhere else, these guys are not worth dealing with at all. read more

Well, the size is very nice, meaning more selection and more of a chance they have what you want. I will give them that. However, I cannot get past a lot of the ghettoness this store reeks of. There is constantly trash in their parking lot; whenever there is a holiday, they take out a huge chunk of parking to put up a lot for whatever holiday crap (pumpkins, trees, etc), making parking ridiculous. The outside looks incredibly uninviting, despite the fact it has a prime location on a corner. Inside, just about everything is under lock and key. I understand shoplifting is a real concern, but really, everything under lock and key, plus guards? That makes me even less inclined to go here. Once you've obtained your purchases, well, be prepared to wait. I've never escaped this store in less than 20 minutes. There are never enough lines open, resulting in a huge line. I can't say whether or not their staff is courteous, as I've yet to see one in the store that isn't in the pharmacy or cashiering. I avoid coming here. read more

I just switched to this pharmacy because Walgreen's no longer takes my insurance. It is the worst pharmacy that I have ever been to!!!!! THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG DOSE OF MEDICATION! Luckily I realized before I took it and called the pharmacy manager. They can't take medication back (which I understand) but would not give me my money back. The manager was VERY rude to me. If she is the manager, it's no wonder why there are other bad service reviews. I will never use another CVS again. My advise it to always double check your medication, especially on refills. read more

I shop here because it is fairly close to my home. I have no issues with the store but the cashier whose nametag says "Fran" is not very pleasant to deal with. She never smiles, looks like she hates her job and I feel she takes this out on her customers. It's like pulling teeth to get her to answer a question. I also don't like the way she tosses items on the counter. I am the customer and I expect friendly courteous service. read more

This cvs is horrible for photos!!!!!!!!!!!! i go to the kiosk and get the 1hr service and when i ask for my photo an hour and 5 minutes later the stupid lady says that there's no photo-clerk until 4????? so what if i were to of needed the photo right away for a gift or something. Can you atleast put a sign on the photo desk center or something saying theres no photoclerk until 4 instead of making people think they can get there photos right away!!!!! Anyways i would highly suggest not to use cvs for photos etc. Go to target or Walgreens. On top of that some of the workers act annoyed and it seems they don't like working there. read more

This review is for the Pharmacy at the CVS lake store. this place used to be my regular pharmacy, but the last time i was there i had enough and i will never go back. the main reason is the pharmacists are so rude, mean and act like you owe them something. Last time I was there, i was in a hurry so i called in advance to check if my meds were ready , they said everything was ok. Once i got there, and waited inline for 20 minutes the girl at the counter informed me that my insurance didn't go through. i was so pissed because i had called in advance to check and they said every thing was fine. then i had to wait in line again to talk to the pharmacist and he was the whole reason why i will never go back. i wish i paid more attention to his name, he had black hair, facial hair, and i think he was latino. but he was so rude, treated me like i was nothing, like a child. didn't apologize, made me wait even longer, no customer service. i will never go back there again! I've worked in customer service before and i understand what it's like, but the way he treated me was so disrespectful!! read more
