Medicine Manufactured in Croatia? Is this safe?
    David D.

Just filled a RX here. Here are some notes: ALL TARGET PHARMACIES are now CVS Pharmacies as of June, 2016. They are on the same computer system. So if you are registered at CVS, you are registered in Target/CVS. You can refill at any CVS. The Pharmacy is inside the Target at this location. It's next to front door off of the parking lot, make a right, and walk a few steps. Bathroom is next to the Pharmacy. Free parking validated for 2 hours. It's clean and organized. The Pharmacist was excellent, friendly, and fast. Rx was ready in 10 minutes and they texted me to pick it up when I was shopping in the store. It was a very pleasant experience overall. Prices are not low. CVS is not a cheap pharmacy. Target was lower before CVS purchased them. Costco is probably cheaper. MY ONLY CONCERN HERE--and it is a great concern, was when I got home and examined the packaging for the medicine. It said in small print, "Made in Croatia" by a Croatian Pharmaceutical Company it named. (See my Photo of the packaging). Is this safe? I am concerned with the quality control, and potency. Why can't they buy from company that manufactures in the USA?

I'm a Physician, as much respect and cared value that I give to my patients, I also expect that the staff here practice that on a daily basis. Today, my partner and me got our influenza (flu zone) and covid-19 booster (Moderna) vaccine. The pharmacist (female) that applied the shots, was EXTREMELY unprofessional and disrespectful. She made both of us hurt, I think from an intramuscular she went to intraosseous. She rushed the injection and half of it came out through my skin. After finishing she wrote on a half ripped sticker the information of the vaccine and finally went inquired about the booster for my husband. She didn't even look at us and left running the room saying "oh just do it online".

CVS in Westwood, how could I forget to show you some love…read more Located in the thick of Westwood Village/Westwood just a skip away from UCLA, this former 24 hour drugstore/pharmacy/convenience chain has a truly unique layout with from outside to in as well as below... Yep this two level Consumer Value Store has a lower level you can access when you first enter off the corner of Westwood Blvd/Weyburn Avenue from the street - on the main level you'll find the check out counters, self checkout kiosk and all their beverages, snacks, food items, beauty, selfcare and big deals. Below is where their pharmacy, homes goods, supplements, stationary, medicine and much more is. I hadn't been to this location in several years so it was fun to see what changed. Seems like they might be redoing some paneling along the stairs, hopefully something artistic to give them a little more pop and color. I didn't really notice any hand baskets or carts in place, but didn't really need much at all after running some errands close by. I know they have an elevator in order to be ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible, but couldn't remember what side it was on. Definitely don't mind the stairs, but a pair of ladies walked in and took up most of the staircase without a care in the world when I was coming up from below. I moved over for them not only because it's polite but because they could definitely care less about myself or the gentleman behind them. I did interact with some friendly CVS staff including a pharmacist who was helping a gentleman on the floor with some allergy medicine. You can definitely track someone down if you need assistances. Good deals, cool coupons and a smooth checkout made for a nice trip. Parking is street (meter), private lot off Weyburn in back or local paid lots close by but also a very pedestrian friendly area/neighborhood if you're local or coming from other places in the area on foot, bike or scooter.

Years ago in a post college job as free-lance advertising reps for an LA Weekly like bridal magazine, my partner and I would stop at the nearest 7-Eleven to refuel with some of the best hot dogs around and totally strong coffee. Best or was it that that repast was affordable and just plain convenient? Well it was. We liked it. And it was good. No one moved us along as we dined in our car, refreshed our makeup via the rear view mirror then moved on to the next appointment. 7-Eleven There's reason(s) we, my hubby and I rely on this store's convenience. Out of milk this is a walkable destination. (Other food stuff/groceries are also available.) Out of booze, yup we'll walk and proly a good idea as to not end up with a DUI. (Hey, young'uns us geezers lift a glass or two too.) Out of coffee (or too lazy to make it)? My hubby thinks the caffeine "on tap" here is on par if not better than my French press, Chemex®, drip or Nespresso® (Yes, I own ALL that barista equipment AND know how to use it.) Feelin' lucky? Get your lotto tickets here. On occasion we win a ticket or two. Hubby spends no more than $5 each week and I secretly match it in my Jimmy Choo™ shoe box for a dine out sometime in 2021. Print media. Since I cut hubby off from picking up the daily Wall Street Journal because I get the whole paper, the print edition too, online at an annual fee with access to archived articles, he is allowed to only buy the weekend edition here with a promise, let's just say a commitment to read the weekly stuff on my computer. Yeah, we're still married... Cuz we can walk here we avoid the parking lot which can be dicey. Out front there's Red Box video rentals and a Planet Earth bin to donate clean, used clothing and shoes (NOT my Jimmy Choo™ though); we do if I'm in a closet cleaning frenzy. Yeah, we're still married... 7- Eleven staff is ALWAYS swift, helpful and friendly!!!

Selection of beer was fairly decent, but I noticed that as soon as I walked down the coolers the guy came from around the counter and came down the same aisle, making no effort to conceal his eyeing me up like I was about to burgle his precious beer. Whatever guy. So I settled on two 22oz heinekens and go to the counter. He comes around and is the friendliest guy imaginable: "oh hello how are you my friend, thannnk you for coming in tonight"... The false hospitality was so thick in his voice you could have sliced it and served it in a pie. So he says "that's $11.97".. Wait a tic. 12 bucks for two beers? Why not go drink at a bar, there are probably better prices at happy hour, I said no thanks and he comes back with "how much you want pay?" Seriously??? We're going to haggle over beer pricing? Thought this was a minimart not a used car lot. I walked out with him shouting behind me "what price you want!!?" Sorry pal, not if you were giving it away. Try treating people less like vagabonds and more like customers. I'll avoid this place to the point that if it were the only readily available source of beer for the evening, I'd drink water instead.
