Mr physician has been writing the same prescription for a year long and now CVS knows we are going into the weekend and if I took it elsewhere... Say Walgreens! They know the process! I just don't get it now they want to play Practioner. I came to write a review about the Pharmacy and noticed the 100 other one star reviews. No surprise. I came for blood pressure medication (Labetalol 200 MG; 60 count). When I got home, I realized I was given 50 of the 200 MG, and 10 of another mystery pill. The pills were all different sizes!! WTF. I went back to the pharmacy to have this issue dealt with, and was accused by the pharmacist in charge of "swapping pills" and "mixing pills from other bottles." ARE YOU F-KING SERIOUS? I would drive out of my way, in the middle of the night, so that I can swipe 10 extra blood pressure pills? For what? I can understand if it was Vicodin or some other Schedule 1 drug that could get me high or something. But seriously, BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION. Now my blood pressure is high again. What can I say, it's CVS. I come here, get what I need and I'm gone! Whether it's for medicine or alcohol they have what I need most of the time I come. Sometimes it's quite entertaining because you see a lot of different kinds of crazy people. I could literally sit in the pharmacy with a drink in my hand and sit here and watch people all day because you never know what you were going to get. I have used this location since moving to California, about five years ago. Even after moving from Irvine and being a 25 minute drive, I refuse to change locations. The pharmacy staff is the best I have ever seen, out of any other pharmacy. Used to be a loyal Walgreens customer before meeting Abraham, Alyssa and a couple more gentlemen who work there. Unfortunately, I have had chronic health issues for the last nine years. I see Abraham and Alyssa once a month. My husband and children use a pharmacy closer to home for convenience. I refuse to change. I saw corporate at this location a few months ago and I approached them to also let them know that I drive out of my way because of the people who work here. The store is OK but the pharmacy is terrible. Either they are incompetent, they don't want to take the time to help people, or worse yet both. They claimed to not get a prescription that my doctor's office called in the day before. They shoo me away, so I had my doctor's office call them again while I waited in the store. I get back in line, and they again try to shoo me away, but this time I tell them my doctor should be calling them as we speak so this time they let me wait. The pharmacist gets off the phone with my doctor's office and then proceeds to LIE to me and tell me they didn't have the medication I needed there and sent me on my way to find it elsewhere. My doctor's office calls me as I'm leaving the store and says that the pharmacist was rude to her but he said he could fill my prescription. Now at this point I don't know what to do as I was just lied to, so I asked my doctor to send my prescription elsewhere. Went in to exchange some scratchers, I was told that I should have came in earlier because they were busy and had a line which was bullsh*t, there were 2 people waiting behind us and they had 2 cashiers up front and 3 self check out counters, we had to wait just to be told to go to the gas station to change it, as if the gas station wasn't also "busy". It's nice that this place is 24-hours, but that doesn't mean much when you try to call in to see if an arm sling is in stock and the person who picked up (be it customer service associate or manager on duty) tells you to "come in and check it yourself". Thanks for saving me the drive because after that call, I would drive MUCH further for better service. Whoever trained this person should be fired. I work in retail and I would NEVER say that. What is an arm sling for anyways? Maybe someone threw out their shoulder and couldn't really drive here. So should I have someone drive there and take 10 minutes (20 minutes altogether) because you can't take 2 minutes to do your job? It was past 11PM and you guys were "so busy" to check. Good riddance. I'd been in here a few times and thought it was okay...just your average CVS. Some employees are very helpful. Like the time I went in and a young guy in a CVS shirt stopped me and asked if I had my CVS card. I was taken off guard to be asked before I even got to the checkout counter but once I pulled out my card he walked a few steps to a coupon kiosk and waved my card under it. Surprise! I had over $10 of coupons I could use for my purchases. Other employees are slow and clearly not happy at their job. I've been overcharged for items on multiple occasions and I've found that often the most basic items are out of stock. I've gone in for such things as Tylenol only to find the shelf empty. This is the most convenient drug store to where I live so I find myself coming here more than I'd want to but when I'm not in a rush I avoid this CVS and go to the one on Irvine Center Drive...or just go to Walgreens or Rite Aid. read more

Just picked up a prescription. One of the pharmacists was not wearing a mask and another had his mask pulled beneath his nose. When I got my prescription, it ended up being $338. I picked up the same prescription a month earlier and it was $45. When I asked the pharmacist why there was a price difference, he said my deductible was $250 and the rest was my co-pay. An $88 co-pay? While the cost was not the pharmacist's fault (it was an insurance mistake), I do expect an honest answer and not to be gaslighted. On top of that, CVS insists on you signing a touch pad using an attached stylus, so every person who comes in has to touch this stylus. There must be a more sanitary method of checking out. CVS, you could do better. read more

So it's always hard to write reviews about chains, especially one that's everywhere like CVS. This one in particular is one of the slowest CVS' I've ever been to. My jaw dropped down to the ground as I saw the loong line ahead of me... everyone was waiting for this one cashier to hurry it up so they could get out of there. Weird customers don't help much either. As I was paying for my stuff, the lady right behind me proceeds to plop all her junk down on the counter right next to me (the counter has NO room for that)... she was literally breathing down my neck as I tried to quickly get the heck out of there. All they have to do is fill in 2 item prescription First they say one is not there. Then they make me wait for 20 min but ONLY managed to do 1 of them. Now, they asked me to sit and wait again. This cvs location is open 24 hrs that is great however it is always hard to get my regular medication refilled , always takes over a one week and may be 3 to 4 calls to get them to contact my doctor for the refill. When I ask why the answer is your doctor is not responding. When I call the office they say the never got the request from cvs . So now I order refill about a week ahead of time so I don't run out . CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Irvine, California

It's been a really long time since I've been to a drugstore of any kind so when I had to find some makeup to put on my son's face for his trick or treating excursion this evening, I was stuck. The closest drugstore to our home is this CVS (originally SavOn Drugs) so this is where I went. There is your usual lot of drugstore cosmetics. I didn't want to spend a lot for something he's going to use once so I picked the cheapest brand available: NYC it was called. I remember when I was in college and all of us bought this makeup similar to this NYC brand. I think it was called Wet N Wild. What happened to them I wonder? After getting the makeup I browsed the aisles and found them to be very entertaining. The only time I bought food stuff from a drugstore was when I was in Hawaii where EVERYONE buys food stuff from Longs Drugstore. In fact, it was a ritual! So, in honor of my Hawaii days, I got some canned cashews and some ice cream (OK OK not really food stuff I know), but they didn't sell saimin or laulaus so hey... this was the best i could do! read more

About 10-11 years ago, at this location, we had a bad experience at the pharmacy where a family member was instructed to wait in a 7-person line all over again after the staff checked some information. Out of all of my bad memories involving U.S. pharmacies, this specific experience was the first one in my eidetic memory that contributed to my dislike of U.S. pharmacies, though at that time we did get an apology from a higher-ranking staff member and I don't know if the specific staff member in question works there anymore. Anyway, for a more recent experience, we shopped here to see what was on sale. Nothing came to mind so we just impulse bought a few things. I really like to CVS it's always really clean and employees are friendly. And parking is always available close to the store. I always find what I'm looking for their shelves are always well stocked. So what are you looking for I always find. And I like that CVS has coupons if you can download to CVS app so you can get coupons before you go in the store. read more

May be it is Saturday busy time. I am sure CVS like big chain pharmacy and healthcare providers knows they need to be prepared for the busy time given they have a appointment system and they have large pool of workers. Tonight I witnessed a manager Frank speaking to an employee as though he was a god and everyone should bow to him. The credit card system had gone down and a young employee was trying to do what he thought he should do and Frank was in makeup and this young man was clearly trying to get direction as to what he should do and from the makeup to the self checkout Frank was speaking with this young man in a loud voice loud enough to hear throughout the store in a very condescending manner the young man told Frank what he thought he was supposed to do and Frank said no that is where you are wrong at that point I walked up to Frank and told him that the way he was talking to this young man was rude and not very nice and that the entire store could hear him demeaning this employee and how unprofessional he appeared Frank brushed me off as tho I was a bother. This pharmacy is pretty quick and efficient, I just transferred pharmacys and they did not have my insurance info when I came to pick up my Rx. I gave it to them and they checked it in a timely matter. Was in and out in no time. Only down side to this pharmacy is the parking....good luck in getting out of the parking lot if you're in a hurry. It is congested with so much traffic and foot traffic due to the other neighboring stores. read more

Do Not Buy Gift Cards here. Employees will swipe it under your nose. How do I know?!?! Well, It happened to me. I went here to buy a gift card and was given only a receipt. I asked what about the little receipt with the amount in the card and gift card number, you know all the info in case you lose your card? I was told " we don't do that here". I thought that was very ODD and considering I never has a problem with buy a Visa gift card anywhere. I said OK. BIG MISTAKE!!!! The receiver of my gift card told me that when she tried to use it, there was $0.00 ZERO dollars left and that is was used 10 days after I bought the gift card. How Embarrassing not only for me but to the person I gave the gift card to. Shame on you to the employee who did this. I hope they recorded the transaction and CVS corporate will contact me a call cuz I remember who you are, the time and date I came in and have the transaction number on record. read more

This CVS sucks.. I had serious leg cramps so bought a hot water bottle at almost the middle of night (CVS brand).. when I came home found out it was leaking... Went back and ask them to replace it by opening and visually inspecting it first... The black dude on counter hesitated first bt did so on asking again with my situation... White lady working here was super rude and said you don't get anything on it as if I was asking her to pay back my money... Very very bad experience at ungodly hour of night... Painful and Sad!! I have not used their pharmacy, so this review is purely about the store part of the CVS. Like all CVS's, this one is chronically understaffed. However, this one seems worse than most. I've never seen more than one person behind the register, even when there's a long line. They really need to get self-checkout stations here since like 90% of the time people are getting less than 5 things. That's my main complaint, otherwise I'd come here more often. read more

It's normal to wait on hold for over 15-20 min for the pharmacy to be hung up on. Not just once but twice. It takes them 4-6 hours to fill a prescription when the doctor calls it in or a refill. They are the absolute worst pharmacy and need more people working or more efficient ones. I miss Rite Aid off Alton that closed. Their pharmacists were so helpful. read more

I really love having this CVS pharmacy in Irvine. This CVS is 24 hours so having a store like this open late at night is a plus for me. My doctors usually send my medicine to this pharmacy so I can pick up after the hours I'm at work. This CVS is pretty big compared to others and it is located in this cute little plaza with food places and what not. The only thing is that since this CVS is so big and it is the only 24 hour one, it tends to get busy at night and employees are all occupied. There was also a time where I waited in the line for pharmacy to just pick up for 40 minutes. It's okay though, I rather have somewhere I could go and pick up medicine late at night than no where to go. read more
