This CVS Pharmacy is a spot I only use for convenience, mainly because it's next to Whole Foods. That said, there's a newer CVS down on Adams Avenue with a drive-through that's significantly better and more convenient overall. This location doesn't have a drive-through, and I've consistently found it less efficient when I'm in a hurry. If you have the option, I'd recommend going to the other Adams Ave CVS instead. This one works in a pinch, but it's not my preferred location. read more

You don't want to work here? ro response. He messed up my $220 transaction, I gotta be on the phone panicking, I'm told they aren't happy with him he's not catching on. I go back to the store, told Sylvia what happened..no problem. Next time I asked Sylvia if the machine was working today she said yes Got to the register and he's the only one there. I asked nicely if he learned it.. No answer no apology he starts trying to start a fight with me... I remember you, you were bossing me around I said he should listen to his superior, he said she's not, I said you are new in training she knows what to do and you messed up a $220 transaction, he said he's done with training. He calls Sylvia upfront... She sticks up for him after hearing all of this and she said his long time coworker is not his superior just wow..and I have to ask for a supervisor every time he's there from now on! I live right next to this CVS and I've never had a problem here until recently. The staff they've been hiring lately are incredibly rude and unprofessional. One older female employee was especially condescending when I asked for help finding an item. Instead of actually helping, she vaguely pointed me somewhere and walked away to scan items, acting annoyed that I even asked. After spending 10 minutes trying to find it myself, I asked again and got another rude response that basically implied I was stupid for not already knowing where it was. Then she tried pointing me towards self check out when I needed to pull out money. Customers are not their first priority. I understand retail workers get busy, but being busy is not an excuse to treat customers with disrespect and attitude. If employees clearly hate helping people, they should not be working in customer service. This review is for Christabel (name on receipt), young lady on the pick up prescription counter on Friday, April 18 at 11 am. She is very polite. She took my information. I asked her if I would get a text when my prescription was ready. She said yes and also would be called on the speaker. I waited OVER AN HOUR sitting on the chairs right in front of her. The person calling the names is horrible, he mumbles. I asked another employee, "did you hear what they said?" She said she didn't understand. If this young lady was busy on the back I wouldn't complain, but she was at the cashier the whole time and she didn't have the common sense to check if my prescription was ready or there was any other reason for me being sitting in front of the pharmacy doing nothing for an hour. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES I could safely assume this young lady is trying to do a good job, but when there is no common sense and there is no training, the customers are left with nothing. read more

"Virtual Assistant" does not support customers with disabilities. Customers can only use this "assistant" by voice only. No other option. For those who are unable to speak or speak clearly, they will be disconnected and unable to refill prescriptions. In the past, customers could use keypad input. This option is no longer available at CVS. Perhaps it's time to look into Walgreens or Costco. read more

This place was jammed the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. They have everything you expect from your drugstore. Seeing all the people in line for the pharmacy was daunting but it moved quickly. The prescription I was filling wasn't ready. No worries there is this comfortable seat and I will wait for it. It is kind of an emergency. This CVS is awesome! A super friendly and helpful team throughout the store! The pharmacy team is amazing ! I had to switch from Walgreens (many years at Walgreens) to CVS when I started Medicare. My prescriptions are always ready when promised and very rarely do I have to wait for more than a minute or two inside when I pick up my prescriptions! Usually if the are more two people in line a second tech comes up to take customers !!! The CVS customer rewards program is awesome! Much better than any of the grocery chain programs! Very customer friendly and really pays great dividends!!! read more

The folks here are just wonderful. Huge thank you to the hard working pharmacy folks who handle so many of our medical needs at once. Tonight we had to get a prescription filled urgently, I left a voice message and they called me back within 10 minutes! Prescription was filled within 30 minutes. These folks are amazing and kind. My husband and I have been coming here for the last year and half, these folks always treat you with care and respect. The CVS staff are also so patient and work very hard. This CVS is unreliable and closed before their advertised operating hours of 10 PM on their door. I got to the door at 9:55 PM prepared to run in and grab one item, only to see a full store completely closed (as in, the employees decided to leave wayyyy sooner since the whole store was locked down at 9:55 PM). I hope the manager sees this and reprimands whoever was working the closing shift on 11/2. Very disappointed with the sub par level of service and commitment. I used to go to Sav on Albertsons for all my scrips but when my insurance changed unfortunately I got stuck with this place that in a word is a train wreck! Average wait time in the drive thru is easily 20-25 minutes. Scrips are never processed when they say they're going to be. It's such a joke that it's laughable. Never ever did I think I would find a company this inept at filling your scrips in a timely fashion. They even ask you when you want to pick them up. You tell them and they still aren't ready. Would give this place zero stars if I could. Horrible customer service. read more

Most annoying STUPID pharmacy ever! Moving my prescriptions elsewhere. Went to pick up today, got home to find my regular 90 day prescription contained only 12 pills. The tech on the phone had no explanation and there's no note on the invoice. Now I have to drive 5 miles back over there and 5 miles back at $5.00 per gallon for gas to get this filled properly. They did this once before and said it was for my "convenience" so my other prescriptions could sync time wise. Well that won't work AND THEY DID THIS ARBITRARILY WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OR PERMISISSION! Exemplary pharmacy! I was hesitant about moving from another pharmacy but our insurance insisted. I'm so glad we did. It doesn't get any easier than this pharmacy especially with the online resources. Huge shout out to pharmacist Noelle who was my hero today. I wasn't feeling well, my husband just had dental surgery and there I was at the drive-through with a handwritten script for three prescriptions! I knew I'd have to wait inside but the gal at the window wasn't sure if they had the meds and could take up to 25 minutes. I went inside and was so blessed to have Noelle wait on me. She was very kind and caring. She told me, "We always carry these meds." I told her my situation and she said, "We'll get it for you in about 10 minutes (I had not clue she was a pharmacist)!" I was treated poorly at this Huntington Beach location. I originally came in to print out 80 pictures from my phone. I had difficulty uploading the pictures. I figured out the issue. I was asked if I was okay by the cashier after being in the store 25 minutes. I said yes. The pics begin to print. As I was waiting for pics to print, the cashier asked me to pay while they print. I said no I'll wait until they're done printing. She seemed bothered by my response. I didn't want to pay because I wasn't done shopping. So after pictures were done printing, I went shopping in the store. As I was shopping, the manager asked me if I was ready to pay. I said no. By now I'm annoyed. I asked him if the store was closing; he said no. Once I got my things. I went to pay. The cashier had an attitude. She rung up my items and I paid. She didn't offer me a bag for purchase to put my items in. So I had to put my items in my purse. She did not thank me at all. The sad thing about this experience was the store was basically empty like a ghost town. You would think they would focus on being friendly and welcoming since they no customers. Wanted to give a special shoutout to Pharmacist Nancy and the Pharm Tech gentleman with the ponytail and light colored hair (sorry I don't know his name). I had a prescription waiting at Walgreens for 3 days because it was out of stock and I couldn't wait any longer due to my symptoms so I decided to call this CVS to see if they had the medication in stock. The Pharm tech answered the phone and he was so polite, he confirmed they had the medication and asked me if I needed the medication the same evening. Mind you I had just gotten off work and it was 30 minutes till closing for the pharmacy. Within less then 30 minutes, the Pharmacy tech was able to relay my request to Nancy the pharmacist and she was able to process my prescription right away. I was able to get my medication before they closed. They literally saved me. As someone who is a clinician myself (they didn't know that), I know how busy and short staffed they are. This review is for the CVS pharmacy location at Adams and Brookhurst. There are always long lines both at the drive through and inside to get my medications. The service is slow, they always seem understaffed and unable to serve the number of customers they typically have. They don't know how to manage their inventory either. I've gone severally times, waited in a long line only to be told "That hasn't come in yet" I'd recommend going to another pharmacy or at least a different CVS location. Believe the reviews, the male employee at the pharmacy is very rude. I've come here twice to pick up my husbands prescription and they have told me they do not have any prescriptions for him, even though they send him text messages that say his prescription is ready. He also told me that my sons face mask for his inhaler needed to be approved by my insurance. When I said this was "weird" he actually started to argue with me multiple times by righteously telling me it was not weird. But my doctor called & they told them it was actually because they were out of stock. So frustrating. read more

To the employees at this location: I understand life can be stressful sometimes and you may be going through personal problems, but it doesn't give you the right to take your anger & attitude out on others especially when they are your customers at work. The pharmacy sucks big time. I have regular prescriptions I need monthly. Somehow they manage to screw things up every time I come here. My doctor will send prescriptions and they will claim they never received them from my doctor. I can see one time but many times and different doctors. The pharmacy staff is rude and will do the flipping of the eyes at you. So unprofessional. I've been pretty much been told to be quite when I'm talking to them to communicate with them. I'm so fed up with dealing with this pharmacy and their staff that I'm changing to either Costco or Target. DONE read more
