This place is a joke. Be advised: complete a$$holes running the pharm. Got in line for a prescription at 1:26 pm. A$$hole says we can't give you your 1 prescription because they close for lunch at 1:30pm. Give me a break, it would have taken 30 seconds to ring me up. I will never be back. read more

Pharmacist Sahar R. is absolutely excellent! She helped me right away at the counter, was very professional throughout my visit, explained everything very clearly so there were no surprises, answered all my questions thoroughly, gave me 2 copies of my vaccination record and took the care to sign them by hand to make them look more official, and I didn't feel a single thing for my subcutaneous Varicella vaccine! She's super knowledgeable--I noticed a lot of staff going to her to ask more complicated questions, and she always had an answer. She also took care to make sure that the vaccine solution wasn't cold and was the perfect temperature so I wouldn't feel it. I still can't believe how painless the vaccine was! I truly didn't feel anything at all. Sahar is everything you could ever want in a pharmacist! Scheduling vaccinations at CVS is also so easy relative to Walgreens. I had a pretty bad experience at Walgreens today and wasn't able to get my vaccine (pharmacist left for lunch right as I arrived for my appointment [I arrived early and actually saw them leave], so I had to wait an hour, plus insurance issues), but I called CVS right after and they allowed me to get my vaccine promptly the same day. Scheduling is also available online, but I was able to get a same-day appointment by calling. CVS's pharmacy staff were also very nice and helpful on the phone. The only place where there could be improvement is that there isn't an actual vaccination room like at the 19121 Beach Blvd location (also an excellent place to get vaccines, but they didn't have the Varicella vaccine I needed). You get your vaccine while sitting in a chair in the corner by the counter, and shoppers in Target can see you. Not a big deal, but an actual vaccination room would be nice! Overall, I had an excellent visit, and I will absolutely try to schedule my 2nd Varicella vaccine with Sahar and the CVS Pharmacy team again! read more

The pharmacist was a very kind young woman ( don't remember her name). She made sure I was up-to-date on all vaccines. AND I didn't even feel the shot! I was shocked when I went to Yelp to get their phone number for a new doctor, and saw that they had an overall 1 star rating (only 2 reviews at this writing). Definitely not my experience after several visits. I was a long-time happy patron of the Walgreen's up the street, but received a notification that they would no longer be a "preferred" partner of my insurance company. That of course meant increased prescription prices. I visited the free standing CVS location across the street, and after standing there for several minutes being ignored, and witnessing what a disaster the place was, I ended up here. What a 180. Everyone has been extremely cordial, and more importantly, very professional and knowledgeable. As opposed to the harried crew across the street, even if they are busy I get a smiley shout from whomever is the attending pharmacist - "someone will be right with you!" An extra special shout out to pharmacist Thi Nguyen. I needed an injection and she is a real pro, and I swear I didn't even cry as she has a very caring/gentle bedside manner. As she was prepping me I saw her certificate/license showing that she went to Wayne State University in Detroit in my home state of Michigan. I asked how she, as a Vietnamese American, ended up in Detroit of all places, and she relayed some humorous anecdotes, and that she was the only Asian in her suburban Detroit high school. Yay, some needed culture in the boring suburbs of the Upper Midwest! See, good times can be had even whilst getting a shot inside my local Target. That alone was strange enough, and something I never expected to experience. Bam! So much for that 1 star aggregate rating. read more

I have an Rx for a controlled substance (Restoril) I take every night to get REM sleep. I was diagnosed with EDS and I don't do well in my junior high school special education teaching job without sleep. CVS has been taking medication out of my monthly prescription a bit more every month. This month they stole two weeks of medication from my subscription. When I called them on it they didn't bat an eye and gave me the 14 pills stolen. I think I should file a police report. This is a medication with high street value. read more

I am incredibly disappointed in this CVS. I am a very loyal customer and always get my prescriptions filled here( have always had a problem getting a hold of the pharmacy) but Nicole and Mary will forever be my favorite pharmacists. They are amazing. Any ways this has nothing to do with the pharmacy. My best friend is moving to A different state and just graduated nursing school. I decided to print out pictures and frame them. I also saw a cute photo cube. So it's also suppose to be same day pick up. I called three days after I placed my order and nothing was ready. I was so upset, I spoke to the manager. She was super sweet and helped me a lot. The photo cube was out of her control, totally understandable but it would be ready the next day. So I picked it up yesterday on my way to prepare my best friends going away party. They left a letter out ! Are you freaking kidding me?! First off, pictures look awful. The quality was absolute crap. But the face of it, I asked to say "We will miss you" not "we will miss YO" by that time I was so upset and had to give her the gift because she's moving and I won't be seeing her. TWENTY freaking dollars with that crap. CVS is NOT reliable. I always make sure to go to the pharmacy several days ahead. I have ran out of meds multiple times which has landed me in the hospital. I'm severely epileptic, 3 brain surgeries and all the least they could do is print out my freaking pictures correctly. I waited an extra week for it and was so upset. I was so embarrassed to gift it to her but my sweet friend had a good laugh about the story. read more

This is the last time I ever go to a CVS. They refused to fill a Tylenol #3 prescription for my daughter, not because it is illegal to do so, but because, blah, blah, blah some government BS, blah, blah, blah doesn't recommend, blah, blah, blah. The first reason was that the prescription pad my dentist wrote it on has check boxes instead of circles. So, they call my dentist for verification, and everything checked out. Then they told me that because she's not 18 they won't fill it. They couldn't tell me that when I dropped it off? "Is this the law?" I ask. "No." She replied. "So this is just a judgement call by you, the pharmacist?" Then she rambled on about the new guidelines for the department of Government Overreach doesn't recommend... She must have wasted another 15 minutes trying over and over again to justify her actions. Would you like me to explain? No, I'm going to take this and all my future prescriptions elsewhere. So, two trips to CVS inside Target and I still need to get her prescription filled. I'm so sick and tired of the extremism of politics these days. When it is easier to get heroin than it is to get Tylenol 3, prescribed after oral surgery, the world is in trouble. I thought it was crazy that a pharmacist can override an oral surgeon, but that just happened. Well, not really. I just went to the next pharmacy, no problems. No problems with the prescription pad, no problems with my daughter's age, no problems. Except I dropped an extra $50 impulse buying Christmas tree ornaments. See Target! You lose too, because I will no longer be impulse buying from you while waiting for prescriptions to be filled. Anyways, if you want to push your political agenda, I'm not buying. I will never spend another dime at any CVS. It was bad enough when they stopped selling cigarettes because of health concerns. Weird that they didn't do the same for alcohol, but I digress.
