Store manager and heavy set black lady working at register are very prejudice. Regardless of living closer to this CVS, I prefer to go to another location. Whenever I enter the store, I'm either followed or have the most rude interactions from employees. I was even "helped" on the floor then at the register by the store manager(because he had been following me the whole time I was in the store) and at checkout, made a comment about me "doing a full transformation" because I had purchased a much darker shade of hair dye and a black shirt. Before I walked out of the store, the store manager hesitated to give me my receipt, looks over at the security guard, has the guard walk over next to me, and says "watch what direction she leaves the store in, just in case we need to call in to report her." I'm then given the most unpleasant stare and watched as I leave the store. I don't recommend this store to anyone that has a unique sense in fashion or tattoos. I have been trying for a week to get a refill on a medication for my mother, the straw that broke the camel's back was 7/31/22 when the pharmacy called stating the prescription was ready for pickup. I called to confirm the status before going down there again and they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. This is the most inept, incompetent, brain dead, lying, rude group of "professionals" I've ever encountered. Better to check their sales price. They don't change the price plate even though after it expires. Don't get a paper bag for 10 cents. It's very cheap quality and breaks in a minute. I don't think it's only here but all CVS's problem. Walgreen does better job. read more

I truly wish I could give this a zero. I have gone twice with large ish coupons, and both times have been accused of fraud...before even scanning to see if they work (which they did). The employee (I believed name Elizabeth) told me she had never seen that type of coupon (which I guess meant it therefore could not exist??). When I offered to tell her how I got it (ExtraBucks program) she said "No I don't wanna hear because I don't care." She genuinely put me down and it hurt my feelings a bit. I stoped by yesterday to get medicine , honey, and tea for my hubby. I was helped by Bridgette. She is so good at her job. I was super happy with the service. Before it was my turn to pay, I was listening to her with the customers. She was very sweet with everyone , even if she didn't speak the language. There was an elderly Latin lady and Bridgette was very sweet with her, it warm my heart. Now a days it's very rare to find and get good service . I will for sure be back to this CVS. read more

If I could give one star I would. I WARN YOU . Do not select photos from online and print them here. I was supposed to have 198 pictures, I went in and paid for them. When I got home I realized that I was missing many that I printed. I called them and was told that they can't control what prints from online, they offered no solution, so I asked what could be done. I have not been to one CVS yet that has good customer service. I have been to about 100 different locations including going on vacation to other cities and states. This CVS is by far one of the worst CVS i have been to in the past 3 months. wow! When you look at these employees they look like their ready to fall asleep their so bored.. I was told the former CVS Managers are being hired at Rite Aid.... Go Figure! CVS Sucks Monkey Balls! I walked into this cvs and the first thing I went to was the 75% of Christmas items. There was not much left to pick from but I did find some boxes of "Stompeez" These are slippers for kids. I was actually surprised they were there stacked really nice on the shelve next to some other things..I did find the size I needed. The regular price is like $14.99 or $19.99 There were about 5 or 6 of the same exact slipper sitting on the shelve in the Christmas aisle. Now the way they were sitting they were not just thrown up there as if someone didn't want them. These were sitting on the shelve and a few were sitting on top of each other. I decided to just take one slipper a few name tags, and some wrapping paper. When I got to the cashier (long long line like usual) I asked the cashier, Could you check the price on these? I was then told to check the price behind me on this self scanner. The item rang up full price. I walked back to the counter and said "Are these 75% off because there is 5 or 6 of these sitting on the shelve in the Christmas aisle. The cashier said "Oh no these are full price now since Christmas is over" Now I am thinking ok since Christmas is over and there are signs that say 75% off shouldn't you change the price to 75% for the one I am wanting to buy then you can move the rest, after all it's your mistake as a company for not moving these items from the Christmas aisle not the customer. Here is the difference between CVS & Rite Aid You go to Rite Aid and it's a Christmas Item or any holiday item and it's still on the shelf they will tell the cashier go ahead and give it to the customer for the sale price. The other day I went into Rite Aid looking for Christmas lights and they were already boxed away and put away. I happen to found one sitting in the candy area misplaced and everything was 50% off toys candy gifts etc I took it to the cashier it rang up full price. The cashier explained it was suppose to be sent back and but since you found one still we will give it to you for 50% off. This made me happy! CVS you need to get your head out of your ass! If you want customers you need to work on your customer service. If a customer finds an item in your holiday aisle the item should be lowered to the sale price especially if there is more than one of the same item! This CVS sucks and I am pretty sure all CVS Suck! Kenya, the current manager here, has gone above and beyond to help me and my boyfriend every single time we come to this location. We live about 5 blocks away and this is our closest CVS so we're here often. I never had the urge to comment on any business in Hayward but Kenya has saved me money multiple times AND has a smile on her face while she does it. It's also worth mentioning that it's mid March 2020 and people are going insane with all stores (COVID 19 - panic buying) and Kenya did not seem stressed or exhausted of the public. Came here just to grab a drink before my long drive home. I only brought $5 in ones with me. I ended up getting an Arizona iced tea which came out to be $1.05. I handed the cashier, Derek, $2, but he gave me back a dollar and said that he got me covered on the .05, which was really nice of him to do. Worst customer service I've ever received!!!! The pharmacy technicians and the pharmacist are so rude. Especially the technicians!!!! They act like they're doing their customers a favor by being there. If you don't like your job look for the type of job that makes you happy. Don't take it on to paying customers! Very poor service!! Unfortunately this wasn't our choice to come to this pharmacy this is what our insurance covers with our new policy. Worst service I have ever experienced. Today I dropped a prescription off while on my lunch break. After handing the script to a pharmacist they checked to see if they had it in stock and then I was told it would be ready in 30min. I returned 45min later and was told it would be another 15min. So, 15min later they informed me that they actually read my prescription incorrectly and in fact did not have it in stock. Not only that but if I took it to the closest cvs that it would not be ready for pick up until for at least 5 hours. So I decided to try the Walgreens across the street. Right away they said they were out but called another location a mile away and even wrote out the directions for me. I will be doing all of my business at Walgreen from now on. read more

CVS has the worse service ever. They can't get they're act together. They give you the run around. Sending customers to all different places to get prescriptions. I understand if it's not in stock and I understand if it's a controlled Med; that's not even the worse part. They send you away to another location that doesn't carry what you need; they don't take any initiative to communicate with each location. Today I was on the phone between this location and Newark. Newark states it shows in the system but Jackson location where we want to get it from says doesn't show in there system; after 7-8 calls. Only then the pharmacist said after I held and waited to speak to them 4 different times 30-45 minutes waiting. Still to say can't find my aunties name. They had her last name address birthdate but so argumentative. 8th call finally talking to each other; she told me her 1st name Connie doesn't show; so last name address birthdate she had the nerve to say you never said it was consolation. Really. After all that they didn't even carry it in stock. Been getting the run around since Saturday Sunday Monday now Tuesday . All that to say they don't have it in stock. The other days had me driving from city to city. I started today by phone, all day talking waiting going back and forth and now it's 2:30 to have her say you should have given consolation not Connie. So if your systems can't find her under last name address and birthdate; your correcting customer. Sounds like you have a poor system and argumentative pharmacist at Jackson street. The staff was really helpful on the phone at the pharmacy and also in person once I got there. I was having some issue with my insurance info covering my prescription and they were very patient while I resolved that and tried to do everything they could as far as checking out everything in their systems. The only reason I'm marking them down significantly is because I called about my prescription around 5:45pm, they said to allow an hour for it to be ready. I go on here and it says they close at 9pm, which is pretty standard for a CVS pharmacy, but when I got there at 8:15pm it turns out they actually close at 8pm! The store associate (not pharmacy) I talked to earlier said they closed at 9, the Internet showed 9, so I didn't bother rushing in. I took my dog on a long walk and slowly made my way down there. Had I known they closed at 8, I'd have gotten down there earlier! It really isn't that convenient for me to begin with, let alone having to come down twice in a row. What's worse is that the pharmacy associates are still there doing work, they just aren't open to pick up your prescriptions. It's very frustrating to see your prescription sitting behind a counter and having someone standing right in front of it telling you to come back the next day. Oh well, you live and you learn... Let it be known that the PHARMACY CLOSES AT 8PM!! And I think 5pm on Sunday! read more

If I could give negative stars. this place has earned it. The service here has always been sketchy since it became CVS but my experience ordering photos cinched it for me. I placed an order online for pictures for my nieces bday party on Sat. They were scheduled to be ready for pick up Friday night. After I received the confirmation email that the pics were ready for pick up, I went to the store. I had to flag the manager down to help me because I stood there waiting for someone to ask me if I needed help and they were content to completely ignore me. The cashier looks like an Elvis wannabe and is perhaps one of the rudest cashiers I have ever encountered. He was helping a woman and had rung something up that did not come up on sale so she inquired about the sale price. He shouts out to the manager as he was slowly walking to the photo counter to help me, what is the price of this? Rather than saying anything to me about going to check the price, the manager just walks away and goes to check the price for him. After he comes back, no apologies for just walking away despite that I had asked for his help before the cashier and I am the customer but then he goes on to ask me my last name. I give it to him and he says he cannot find them. He says just come back tomorrow. At this point, I am less than confident he is actually telling me anything I can count on so I push back advising him these pictures are a birthday gift and I cannot take the chance of not having them printed so ask if I should go elsewhere rather than wasting more time and gas returning to this store to ask if my order is even in the system and his reply is that I should just go elsewhere because the system is broken and "they" are going to be looking at it. I was disgusted at this point and told him I would not be returning to this store ever again. Walgreens is just across the intersection and never lets me down. Please spare yourself the pain of wasting time at CVS. I will say the pharmacy does not count as far as my assessments, but under this deficient management, they are doomed as well. read more

If you want to get your medications filled properly.... then DON'T.... I repeat DON'T have them filled at this pharmacy. My mother is very ill and so my Dad takes her prescriptions to have them filled. Not once.... but several times they have NOT gotten it right. Today she needed her pain medication. They typed out the pain medication instructions on the bottle, yet gave her the anxiety medication instead of the pain. Then because they have label everything with the pain instruction..... they will NOT fill her PAIN medications. We explained to them that they made a BIG mistake and yet they say, "sorry but we can't fill your pain meds. for another month cause we just filled it". WRONG WRONG WRONG. My mother is soooo upset that she's in a fit of tears. She's very weak and can't get through the days without her medication. She is in CRONIC pain and I just wish I was down in California because I would go to CVS at Jackson Center in Hayward and give them ALL a piece of my mind. If a pharmacy is making mistakes like this....BEWARE because you are putting YOUR life into their hands. It's a good thing that my mom is very aware of what her meds look like. She's been taking the same medications for years. She did tell me that she got notification recently that starting in September (i think), her insurance is switching her back over to Walgrens to get her medications. She and my Dad both state that CVS has often gotten things mixed up and they HATE going there for meds. So.... if you have a choice my sincerely advice is to go ANYWHERE but CVS. read more

Their service is terrible.i give negative star for the manager and the workers here.they gave me and attitude when i wanted to use my shop kick coupon for cvs.the cashier (tall,chubby,a.a lady) said they can't scan customer's phone an she told me to scan it myself on their scanner??? I was like wtf??? That is their job then why have the promotion and bother the customer to scan products on pos scanner??? She then ask the manager,take my phone and they stare at it for a good minute and kept telling me they are not able to scan the barcode bc their cash register doesn't work.these people here are really lazy and they like to trick customers.of course i knew it was all a lie.my friend told me she didn't have any trouble redeeming coupon at other cvs,but this one is special lol. Well,they gave me the discount eventually so why they keep making excuses??? They are so stupid!!!
