Recently I was surfing the net to source sun star gem brand Praxo brush go betweens. Notice CVS had an ad offering it for 9.29. Thought It also said buy one get on free. Went to CVS. Store is yuge! Luckily sections have a sign. Products easy to find. Found product and tag. Price: 11.79 buy one get 2nd 50% off. Passed Saw a CVS generic offering Advanced Soft interdental brushes for 6.79 with same buy one get 2nd 50% off. Saw "compare to Sunstar soft picks advanced". Thought it alluded to Sunstar go betweens. Compared it later with a Gemstar product I got earlier from Costco. They were the same. CVS mislead me with "interdental". The advance soft picks weren't interdental per se. CVS also required a membership to buy which I happened to have from long time ago. In contrast, Target & Walmart doesn't require membership to purchase ad items. Doubtful I will return to CVS again. FYI. Associates were either nice or slightly rude. read more

There's one pharmacy technician that destroys the customer experience for this location. I would include her name but she refused to disclose it over the phone. Her approach is crass and unprofessional. I usually don't have the time or desire to write negative reviews, but her behavior was SO TERRIBLE I reported her to the corporate office. She should be fired. I've been using this location for 5 years and will NEVER return. Avoid at all cost and send your scripts elsewhere. read more

CVS Pharmacy at 243 W Jackson St, Hayward, CA 94544 This is by far the best CVS we've visited. The employees are exceptionally friendly and kind. Every time we come here for photo prints, the service has been outstanding, and the customer care is top-notch. The quality of this location speaks volumes about the leadership behind it. I came here to look for a few items but ended up walking out empty handed. The website and app said they had the items but when I walked in, the shelf was empty. Either the store didn't update their inventory or the product is back in the warehouse but hasn't been stocked on the shelf yet. The shelves were super dirty and some items were misplaced. I arrived only to find out that the system was down and they wouldn't give me my shot. This CVS is run so poorly and the employees must really hate their jobs because they are so rude. They never have any stock and the lines are always long when I'm there. I work not to far from here and only come when I need cotton, toilet paper, cosmetics or greeting cards. They are usually out of a lot of things, so I usually need to go to another store to find what I need. The line is always long because they only have 1 cashier during the lunch hour. The cashier though is very friendly and talkative. But I'd rather go to Walgreens which is just across the street. read more

I have been going to CVS Jackson Street, Hayward for at least 20 years and have had my share of issues regarding their pharmacy customer service or therefore lack of. I ordered my insulin ahead of time via text and had to wait a few days for them to get it approved. I had dialysis today then headed over to there to pick it up but because they close at 130-200pm for lunch. I got there at 126pm and was turned away by the pharmacy Manager who said that the person in front of me was their last customer and to come back at 2pm. I said it was not 130pm yet and shouldn't take more than 2 minutes. She didn't seem to care. I went complain to a store manager and who had the same non empathetic and tried to make excuses. I told him he was full of crap and their sign says closed at 130PM not 126pm Their pharmacy has the worst Customer Service from not filling prescriptions or filling incorrect prescriptions and also giving the wrong medication without checking it. The pharmacy at the time bribed me with a $100 gift card not to report it in a complaint. Only reason I stick with him as I have all my records for the last 25 years or so, and it's hard to.Re establish that with a new pharmacy. Use another pharmacy and disregard using Jackson Street Pharmacy. read more

One of the worst pharmacies, there is always a huge line and there is only 1 person checking out. Be prepared to wait for 30 to 40 minutes for a simple pick up, Bigger issues - Pharmacist files claims with insurance even before you have picked up the medicine, for the next dose when insurance denies saying sufficient time hasnt passed, you have to call the pharmacy and ask them to update. Highly disorganized Have no clue about anything, do not get how to apply savings coupons and for everything say contact insurance. Being experienced pharmacists with medication costing 100s this isnt the expected response but they are so disorganized and short staffed getting the right prescription is a miracle by itself. Went in after my husbands oral surgery tired but relieved that there was no line at the pharmacy, i was disspointed in the rudeness of the pharmacist that was onsight, he seemed to talk at me not to me and rushed the questions without any regard. I expressed my discontent and left dissapointed. We all have pressure we're all tired, but if you're going to work with the public I suggest you do so in a dignified manner. read more

This review is solely based on the delivery service this pharmacy provides. I needed some medical items and they appear to power their delivery service from Instacart. I was able to get a free 14 day trial of Plus by providing my info and credit card information. Once items were delivered I went back into my Instacart account and cancelled the free trial (They still are giving me 14 days of free service) Can say that the delivery service is very speedy and I got the exact items I needed without substitutes. The pharmacy staff at this location are not pleasant workers... they lack concern for the person at the counter. No eye contact, dismissive and curt to say the least. It is the holidays2022! *This review is specifically for the Pharmacy center, not the store* I made an appointment online for a flu shot. I arrived on time and went to the desk to ask if I should wait in line or if there was a separate line for flu shots. An older lady was there to "help" me and went to ask a coworker. Her coworker responded and when she came back she informed me that they ran out of the immunization. I don't understand why I was allowed to make an appointment if there wasn't anymore flu shots, I could have saved my time and energy to go to another place that actually had the flu shots available. Beware, lately this store has been closing earlier than advertised. Showed up 15 minutes before closing today only the door was already blocked by a security guard. Schedule a shingles test a while back as my doctor said you can just stop by CVS and get it there. So schedule appointment and showed up, the lady working there (indian) said I don't have an appointment so after showing her my cell phone with confirmation she told me my insurance company doesn't cover it. I've been in line for 30 min there's only two people ahead of me and it's not the only time this happens. I'm so over this... When I was up next to pay I scooted my stuff up on the register and this rude employee Bridget I believe her name was put her hand in front of my face and called me impatient. WOW, this CVS store is THE BEST!!! Their entire staff is wonderful! The process of getting my Pfizer booster shot was super-easy, and as for the actual injection, I did not even feel the poke of the needle. Just left this place and just dealt with some skeptical service... I'm waiting in line, I'm the next person at register, the current customer is purchasing cold medicine and I hear him give his birthdate to the cashier, and I know this cuz he birthdate was near mine, he didn't have to show ID or anything. My turn, I also have cold medicine, she ask for me ID and for my birthdate, quite odd since you didn't do that with previous customer, then ask me to pull my mask down and tells me she is only doing it cuz of the cameras, another odd thing to say. the spanish lady that help me was very hard to deal with i dont know if she is having a bad day or what but it is still not an excuse to be rude and loose your control. she was being rude to me and arguing about me waiting to open a case. she was yelling at me and insisting i didnt wait that long instead of saying sorry she was very mean and makes me feel that I am wrong. she is a young spanish lady with a strong accent. she needs to be retrained to compose herself and to make sure that she know how to deal with the situation. if she is a manager which is i think she is then i think cvs dont know how to use their best judgment on promoting or hiring a part of a management team. read more

Cashier was awesome!!! A beautiful black woman greeted my little niece and I as soon as we walked in. I bought a little toy for my niece and the cashier greeted my little niece with a warm welcome and there was no price tag on the toy and her manager came and said, "hmm..no price tag? Refused to give me a COVID vaccine because they didn't know how to process a cash payment for it rather than going through insurance (my insurance will reimburse it, but does not work directly with CVS to process the payment). This was my first time shopping at CVS on Jackson. The service I received was exceptional. I was greeted by the cashier as I walked in, who was in the middle of ringing up another customer (and had a short line). She greeted me, asked if I needed help, and then told me which isle and which side of the isle the item was on. If that wasn't impressive enough, once I came back to the front of the store to get in line, another cashier opens up to help with the line. I must have been in the store for no more than 4 minutes. Based on this experience, everyone was friendly, knew their job; making for an ideal shopping experience, which is impossible to find these days. Thank you! read more

I usually don't go to this store often but recently I needed a passport photo and my nearest CVS has no passport photo service and they recommended this store - when I entered I approached the lady on the cash register to ask her that i need help with passport photo. She said pls go to Aisle 15 and I will be there - I went and I waited for 10 min and I returned to her as she was helping somebody else, I had an eye contact with her to make sure she knows I am still waiting - she closed her register and left and I assumed she is grabbing the camera but she went to the back of the store and disappeared. After 7 more minutes I asked another employee - and she finally called for camera assistance and asked me to go back to aisle 15. The camera lady finally showed up ( a third person) that the First Lady could have called right away to help me instead of leaving me waiting almost 20 min. The camera lady was very helpful and we had the photo printed in less than 3 min. Then I went to pay for the photo in cash register and I could very long line with one register open, and guess what, that First Lady showed up and she was chatting with the lady on the register and with the customers without being considerate to the people standing in the line. And to make things worse she just grabbed some paper towels to pay for them cutting the line without saying anything to the long line waiting. Bottom line - the service could have been done in 7 minutes and it took more than 35 min just because there is inconsiderate employee in the store. read more

The cashier Bridget makes uncomfortable comments, she tries to come off as nice & friendly but very invasive in what you purchase & loud. I understand with COVID and how hectic this are especially for anyplace that is giving COVID vaccines. But I heard people around me saying they had appointments for their vaccination at 10am, but when I had walked in it was almost 1pm. There's multiple of lines everywhere and no one was quick to address it not the Walgreens employees nor the Pharmacy staff, it took about 30 mins while I was there for the manager to finally address it and a pharmacy staff walked out as well to finally manage the traffic lines. Suggestion: this could easily be fixed with signs. This may be a whole CVS pharmacy thing, but I made a refill for my uncle's prescription through the phone, the day before and said it would be ready the next day which was today, called ahead of time before heading over to CVS Pharmacy only to wait in line for 30-40 mins and to deal with attitudes of Pharmacy staff to tell me there was no prescription. Maybe it's an error in the system Suggestion: if a prescription doesn't appear in your system simple say that it doesn't appear in the system. There is no need for constant back and forth bickering. After this experience I will avoid this Walgreens and having to go to this CVS Pharmacy. There's multiple of CVS pharmacy's in Hayward. read more

Terrible pharmacy service. First of all, they didn't input my # of refills correctly. They're usually allowed to double check the prescription because it's scanned, but they also FORGOT to scan my prescription and threw it away with no records. I told them I absolutely need it by Tuesday, and they said there's nothing they can do. I'm writing a review because they have messed up EVERY single time I've come in. Previously, I made about 3-4 different visits to finally get one prescription in because they kept giving me false information and blaming their colleagues. So, as I relocated to the Hayward area I decided to select a closer pharmacy..I picked CVS this was the worse decision I could have made maybe Walgreen's would have been better in hindsight. So I call give them my info they tell me they will call get my info a seamless transfer and transition. Boy was I wrong granted my prescription was there but my insurance had not been transferred. As I see my prescription and insurance card sitting.. the manager decides to help someone else. I inquire about my status of help to where I'm scolded by the manger and the tech yelling at me you need to stand by the counter!! I stated OK but I dont need you both yelling at me. I don't want to even give this store a rating. The pharmacy in the back of the store is great. BUT THE LADY WHO WORKS THE REGISTER EVERY DAY IS THE MOST RUDE, OBNOXIOUS PERSON. I CANT BELIEVE SHE IS STILL WORKING THERE. IM NEVER SHOPPING THERE AGAIN. I will use the pharmacy but never buy anything from that store again. I came from the pharmacy who didn't have bags for my purchase. There was nobody up front in line so I asked for a bag. It says "it's gonna cost you a dime". I said that's fine. I came over to CVS after getting very impatient at the ridiculously long line at Safeway. Luckily, it's not very busy at CVS and some of the prices for grocery is still pretty reasonable. The downside is the stock here is very low. I'm guessing they do not restock here very often because there was only one sad bag of Funions left on the shelf. If snack isn't a priority and drinking is your main concern you have nothing to be worried about. The alcoholic beverages are fully stocked on the shelf and fridge. It's not the cleanest CVS store I've been to and after certain hours they only have one register opened. Occasionally one hold up at the cash register can cause a short line to form. read more
