I went to the CVS at 4424 Treat Blvd Concord CA to get my new bivalent Covid booster yesterday. What an easy, fast, and pleasant experience I had in this CVS pharmacy! Michael in the Pharmacy immediately greeted me with professionalism, positive attitude, and excellent service! He was extremely helpful getting me set up for my vaccine and filling my order for Covid test kits. I was treated very well by a Pharmacy Tech who gave me shot and after only a few minutes I was on my way! I highly recommend this CVS location! read more

I'm giving this CVS five stars because of the outstanding customer service I have received by one pharmacy employee in particular, Lisa. My Rx. is a very unusual one and has to be refrigerated. There were a couple of times my Rx. didn't show on the database. Both the pharmacist and another employee told me flat out they couldn't help me because my info wasn't on the computer. They even doubted aloud that I even had been to that pharmacy before! Then Lisa just returned from a break. I pointed to Lisa saying, "She's waited on me many times", to which she confirmed with a YES. Lisa jumped right in, figured out the problem, advised me to go home, call her back and give certain info....then we could resolve the issue. She was like a life saver thrown out to me in the deep ocean with no hope of survival until she came along! I wish more people were like her. The world would be such a better place! Stopped in here the other night for my first time. It seemed so much bigger than I expected it to be. This is the location at Treat + Clayton, and I usually shop at the Treat + Bancroft store. I liked this one better but it's a little less convenient for me. The large store had well-stocked aisles and they seemed pretty spacious and clean. We only had to walk up and down a few of them to find the things we needed but it wasn't had to find everything with their system of organization. Two cashiers were working. One was dealing with a needy customer so we picked the other line. Even though there were only a couple people ahead of us it seemed to be moving really slowly. Overall it was a great experience... except for the nightmarish wave of humiliation my husband washed over me while we waited in line. The 12-year-old-of-a-man I'm married to (he's says he's really 30) decided it'd be funny to fart as loudly as possible and then say "AMY??!!!!" Everyone in the OTHER line turned and looked. One lady MOVED to our line (why? oh why would she move closer?!) and then told me "it's a natural body function". WTF, Casey. read more

Sadly, seco canyon CVS was lying to me about my needed meds I needed for a bad demadex infestation. I called 7 am to see if they had my ivermectin in stock and she said yes, next day I called to see if it was ready and the new pharmacist said its out of stock and back ordered. I know its a lie I just talked to another pharmacist 24 hour earlier. I am going to have their records reviews and file a complain at State boards of pharmacy. I stood in a short line behind an employee named "Jeff" who was on his break. Sometimes I prefer to stand in line when I just want to slow down and be alone peacefully with my thoughts. If I'm eager to get what I need and get out quickly, I go the self-serve kiosks. After about 5 minutes in line, Jeff goes up to the counter and places the "next register" sign down to show the line is closed after him. I let him know that I had been standing behind him for a while, and now there were other people behind me. Additionally, there was no other register open, just one kiosk. The other kiosk was inoperable, and the man using it was there at least 30 minutes with staff assisting him to get his cash out. Meanwhile, Jeff is becoming irate because neither myself nor the people behind me are using the one kiosk that people are not desperately trying to retrieve "cash back" from. He's commenting that the kiosk is faster; it makes no sense to stand in line; it's a waste of time; it's stupid...and he's getting increasingly more irritated. He finally angrily grabs his hostess snack and soft drink and walks off. I tried to wait to speak with the manager of the day "Trent", but he was helping the man who was trying to get his money out of the kiosk. I have not had any problems like this before at this particular CVS. It's not the best CVS, and the one on Ygnacio Valley Road is closer to my home and generally better. However, I was profiled about 7 months ago at the CVS near my house and decided to get my goods at the nearby Lucky instead. If I happen to be near the CVS on Treat, I have shopped there, but on rare occasions. After being profiled at the Ygnacio Valley Road store and experiencing Jeff's need to control what he cannot control at the Treat store, I am finally over CVS. They can do much better with their customer care. read more

This CVS used to be awesome.....used to be. I don't remember how long ago, maybe a year or two now, but there was a change in management and the whole store has gone to shit since then. I used to shop there regularly and knew everyone's name and they knew ours and when we would walk in it used to be like "Cheers". The ladies were always working their asses off setting up planograms, rearranging the store, updating price tags and were clearly overworked and super busy but they always managed to be happy and cheerful and provide excellent service. Speaking of the ladies I don't think any of you work there anymore but shout out to Carolyn the previous manager (I hope Home Depot is doing right by you), Christine (I hope you got to retire and are loving it!), Jen, Tanya, Diana, Alma and Cheryl......you ladies rock and I hope whatever you are doing wherever you are your employer appreciates your hard work and efforts, I sure did! That being said I don't shop at this location nearly as much, I still get my prescriptions there which is really the only reason I go in there anymore and even that is a palaver as they have some people working in the pharmacy who don't know wtf they are doing and don't understand your questions when there's issues and can't communicate what the problem is or answer your questions so they make you go wait to talk to someone else, usually the pharmacist or pharmacy tech I guess, who knows exactly what the problem is and can easily take care of you. Isn't there training and requirements for working in the pharmacy? Used to be you had to be a pharmacist or a pharmacy tech to be back there at all? Now they just put any cashier back there to ring people up which is fine if there's no issue for your prescription but if it's not ready yet, not ringing up correctly or you need them to check to see if your dr sent it in yet then good luck! I assume there are underlying expectations from corporate that are to blame for the shopping nightmare that this place has turned into. I know corporate is pushing that self checkout nonsense so much that they won't even let cashiers just ring people up anymore and basically if you don't have a manager override or price adjustment needed you will be ushered over to self check, by the cashier who could just ring you up at the cash lane mind you, and they will basically ring you up at self checkout for you? Not sure how that helps? Maybe since there's two self check lanes they think that the one cashier can help two people at once but the reality is that the self checkouts almost always have some sort of problem, the cashier can only help one person at a time no matter how talented they are as it is physically impossible to be in two places at once. I guess corporate looks at it as though shaving off thirty second to a minute of an employee ringing up a customer eventually adds up enough to just replace that employee altogether with a machine thus increasing profit because that's one less person they have to pay. Fuck the customer and their shopping experience, screw the employee who now has to run two self checks and one regular cash lane. They're expendable anyway and will just be replaced if they don't like the idea of or can't handle the stress of doing the job of three people for the price of one! Not sure what CVS pays but I guarantee you it's not enough to be squeezed like that. Maybe if they didn't pay their CEO over 20 million dollars a year (that's just the CEO, not all the rest of the corporate higher ups) they would be able to afford to compensate their store employees appropriately and would be able to afford to hire and train enough of them to properly operate their stores. It not sure what the bonus structure is in stores but I doubt that regular employees or even store managers have any opportunity to make bonuses much less bonuses that equal about four times their regular salary but for some reason that seems perfectly acceptable for corporate! read more

We've lived in Concord for about 12 years now and CVS on Treat has always been our pharmacy. The last few times we have gone they tell us to pick up prescription after 6:00 which they have had since noon and when we get there the pharmacist is on their lunch so we have to wait another hour. It's ridiculous. I don't know how pharmacy's make their money but we will be leaving after so many years of going there. We will be sure our friends find another pharmacy as well. After literally a week of having issues with my prescription and playing phone (and fax?) tag with the pharmacy and my dermatologist, my prescription was finally filled and processed. Having called various times, it seems that many of the pharmacists who work here do not enjoy their jobs (or may have had some ~personal~ issues going on) but we're very unpleasant and the furthest thing from courteous, in terms of phone etiquette and tonality. One pharmacist even aggressively hung up on me after responding with "okay fine I'll do that!" when i asked if they could fax their questions over to my doctor However, today, i decided to call again since there had been no word on the progress of my prescription. And Pam answered. She was warm and welcoming and sweet, and she processed my prescription right away. I am a senior citizen and like to avoid crowds. I came to this CVS location early in the morning to get some cold medicine and photos. There appeared to be only one other customer besides me. The check out clerk and apparent manager were gossiping and continued to talk as I waited for assistance. After shopping some more and needing help in photos I again waited for help and finally had to interrupt them. Both refused to help me in photos saying I could follow the instructions on the screen. My voice was hoarse from the cold but I had a mask on. I was not asking them to touch anything of mine only to give me verbal instructions at the photo machine. Absolutely ridiculous. I come in with my father who is filling a prescription for my dog and I am asked to leave because they say they have a photo of me stealing some prior time. For one, I've never even been inside this store and I'm wearing a mask per their mandate. Instead of listening to me and maybe taking a second look and apologizing, they threaten cops. Before I got the CVS ExtraCare card, I hated shopping at CVS because it's pretty pricey. I would almost rather drive all the way over to Target in Pleasant Hill than buy stuff at CVS, even though this location is less than a mile from where we live. But now that I have the ExtraCare card, I love shopping at CVS! Every time I go there I get some kind of coupon attached to the end of my receipt for some kind of deal. Sometimes it's $2.00 off any allergy medication, or even 30% your whole purchase! (the 30% coupons are only good for three days. Great way to get me back to spend $ at their store) They have a huge selection of practically anything you'd need. I can get high-end hair products and yard refuse bags all in the same store. Like I said, their prices are a little higher than average. Get their card and you'll save a whole bunch of money. read more

They also have great prices on items when you use your ExtraCare card! Everytime I go here I scan my card to there machine near the cashiers which prints out coupons you can use! One time I received a 30% off all cosmetic and buy one CVS hair product get 50% off. You also get a coupon on the bottom of your receipt, last time I got a coupon for $4 off on a $20 purchase. I have loved this store for years ... and I am devastated that it's been taken over by CVS! Long's, although part of a chain, was almost like a "Mom and Pop store," in comparison to the sterile, no-frills, cold store it is becoming under CVS' ownership. I've seen some of my favorite products disappear, any decorative touches gone, those cool plants out front eliminated (!) I haven't checked the gift section yet, but that, too, will probably go by the wayside -- There's nothing 'fun' left; it's just a boring drug store. I'll be shopping at Walgreens from now on ... until IT is taken over by a company bent on making our drug-store-shopping a robotic affair. The positive aspect of this store is that it has everything. It's less like a drug store and closer to a supermarket. Also, there are at least 3 very cute girls that work here, which might be why most of the time I will go here instead of the shitty Safeway across the street. I know this isn't store related but I just wanted to give a special thanks to a heroic women, Miss Kristine! I locked my keys in my car yesterday around 2pm, it was about 92 degrees out. I left my window cracked so all I needed was a wire hanger, easy right? After walking to a laundry mat, a consignment store, togos, massage parlor, and a mexican restaurant I was exhausted...! I saw CVS across the street and called them immediately. Kristine picked up the phone and I explained my situation. She was very sweet and kind enough to check her breakroom for a wire hanger, which she found!!!! She really made my day, I can't thank her enough :) It made me realize that nice people still exist in this world. She totally went above and beyond, and that's what customer service is all about! Stopped at this store on my way back from a bike ride. As I entered an older female employee rudely said "sir, backpacks aren't allowed inside the store." No apology, no offer to hold my pack, just a very rude statement said in a way that implied that I was doing something wrong by coming to their store with a backpack. As I left in disgust, I see the other employee who was at the front of the store looking at me through the window literally giggling at the fact that they had just kicked me out of the store. I make a point to walk or ride my bike for any errands that my expected load will allow, and I have never been told to leave a CVS because I have a backpack. Won't be an issue at this store again. At all cost avoid this pharmacy and the one at 5408 Ygnacio Valley Rd, Concord. Have never dealt with such incompetent people (this time was Pam). When I first contacted Pam I informed her I wanted to transfer a Rx "for a 90-day supply" filled at Ygnacio CVS because the female pharmacist there hung up on me. I provided Pam 1-800 # to "call for the Rx savings program card to obtain instructions on how to remove the e-voucher from insurance plan". First, why does someone knowing going to work the pharmacy call line not have a pen handy? Pam called me back and said the card was denied. I called the savings program the rep informed me CVS sent in request for Rx cost of almost $12,000. I called Pam back and provided her Mckesson's 1-800 to call and I informed here AGAIN to "specifically ask how to remove the e-voucher from insurance plan" (note this is the 2nd time I speciifcally informed Pam why she needs to call the 1-800 #). Pam calls me back and says the card was denied again because max co-pay limit has already applied. What? This is the 1st time I am using this card. I called the Mckesson's 1-800 # again and rep informed me the log shows the call with CVS, but Pam only was asking about plan information and did not specifically ask how to remove the e-voucher from insurance plan. So I call Pam on cell phone while having Mckesson rep on landline for the two may talk while I listen. The Mckesson rep obtained two pieces of pharmacy identification from Pam and called the Rx savings program card relay team. The relay rep informs us she has removed the e-voucher from insurance plan and instructs Pam to reverse the Rx to the insurance. Pam's reply, "I can't another pharmacist has the Rx up on their monitor." What? She cannot inform that pharmacist to exit monitor? While waiting for other pharmacist to exit monitor, I asked Pam, "when you called the Mckesson's 1-800 # did you specifically ask how to remove the e-voucher from insurance plan"? Pam replied, "No, not specifically". Now Pam cops an attitude and says, "I do not know the status of Rx because Rx has been going back and forth so many times already." Well who's fault is that? (Hint: not mind and not the 1-800# reps.) Pam, finally says Rx to insurance is reversed. Relay rep instructed Pam to bill the insurance as primary and the Rx savings program card as secondary. Pam does and informs what my co-pay is, which was not what I expected. The Mckesson is about to explain when Pam immediately says "I going now for I have other customers". Why? What if there was still an issue on CVS side? I drive to CVS to pick-up my Rx. Lady at counter informs me the Rx is not ready for they only have 1 box (30-day supply) instead of 3 boxes and asked if I wanted the partial order or wait until Monday for entire order. I replied, I will wait for Monday. I walked down to the frop-off window where Pam is. Pam looks at me and says how may I help. As I mention my name she turns back to her monitor. I said, I just want to understand where the difficulties are? As Pam is working she points to her monitor and says, "It's an electronic thing." What? I mention to Pam that Mckesson rep informed me that she/Pam did not specifically ask how to remove the e-voucher from insurance plan when she called. Pam replied, "I cannot say what they said or did not say". Why is she lying? I replied, "when I first talked to you I mentioned that you needed to call the Rx savings program card to obtain instructions on how to remove the e-voucher from insurance plan and I repeated that to you in another phone call". Pam replied, "I never had so much trouble with an e-voucher." That's it! No acknowledgement nor apology for her incompetence. I return home. Half hour later I receive a CVS auto call saying my Rx is ready. I called CVS and good ol' competent Pam answers. I ask if she may verify Rx is ready for I just received CVS auto call. She replies, Rx is ready. I replied, so why was I informed the order could not be fully filled until Monday. She replied the warehouse shipment contained the medication. What, they could not check the warehouse shipment when I was there? Pam, replied we just received the warehouse shipment. Ah, like I am suppose to believe good ol' competent Pam that warehouse shipment came, they went through the shipment, and filled my Rx during the short period since I left CVS? read more

Zero stars. This CVS is just down the street from me which I thought would be amazingly convenient. The first time my boyfriend and I went in was around 9pm. We needed to make a key. We saw the key shop thing was closed but asked the cashier anyway to double check. He asked us what kind of key we wanted. A house key. "Oh we can't make any keys right now." Why did you even ask what kind of key we want if you know you can't make keys? Visit number two. Needed a few basic items. Everything is out of place, cluttered and the "sale" price tags tend to be on the right brand of product but the wrong product itself. We had maybe four items and we had to wait in the only open cashier's line for fifteen minutes. Other workers passed by the line of five people and casually talked to the cashier. Awesome. Today was my third and final try with this store. I had three items. Some lady just walked in the store and went right up to the cashier after the customer in front of me to buy a bunch of senior citizen cards or something. Again, awesome. No acknowledgement from either of them. A cashier opens her register and calls the lady behind me over to her as the next customer. REALLY? Once I finally get up to the new cashier, she doesn't say a single word to me. No hello, no do you have a CVS card, no total, no thank you. She was too busy taking to another worker, but the lady before me got the most friendly service. I noticed someone wrote in their review about her husband being treated poorly because of his skin color and tattoos. I can't help but to agree on this, I feel like I've never gotten anything close to "customer service" at this CVS due to being a female with many visible tattoos.
