CVS has a good extra care/rewards program. The pharmacy is often a long wait, no matter what time of day...you just have to suck it up, browse, smile, take deep breaths, stretch. Every twentieth or so visit, you get lucky -- no line, attention paid. This CVS location shares a parking lot with Ralph's, Habit Burger. The staff is usually friendly and accommodating. Had to go to CVS 2 days in a row be use pharmacy can take seemingly forever and when you're sick, the wait is unbearable. read more

Worst customer service. I chose this location to be my UPS Access Point. I received notification that my package was delivered and when I went there and waited over 15 minutes, the person said the package wasn't there. She said to call back, which I did and waited another 10 minutes I got a response from a rude person saying it's there without any information on how to pick items up. read more

These 5 stars are for Pascale. She was absolutely amazing and deserves to be working at an upscale salon with the amount of attentiveness, kindness and professionalism she has. She was in the beauty department while I was looking for a couple of things to buy. She ended up convincing me to buy a lot more than I wanted to, but let me tell you it was worth it. She told me to get this keratin hair mask by nexxus, and I had no idea what to expect from a little hair mask in a package. Pretty good as far as stores like these go. This particular CVS has good parking and a wide selection of items. Most people seem to come here for toiletries, make-up, meds, and things like that. I have yet to see someone come in here and walk out with a new outfit (yes, they do sell clothes here) or a new grill. Pharmacy has always been quick and easy to work with, at least in my experience. They have a drive-thru pickup/drop off that I haven't tried, but that's kind of handy. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. I dropped off a pain medication prescription for my mother who just had surgery and ask for it to be expedited. The pharmacist said it would take and hour to 1-1/2. No one was in line nor waiting for help. After waiting one hour, I went to the register and the pharmacist said it's not ready for another 15 minutes to a half an hour. Whyyyyy? You take one pill bottle and pour the pills into another pill bottle and mark it as received. No reason on a Thursday mid-morning for why this should take so long and with such a slow, rude pharmacist. Do not get it filled at this Burbank San Fernando pharmacy. read more

I would like to thank this CVS for their tremendous help when the cane I relied on for walking suddenly lost the rubber tip at the bottom when I was on the Burbank mall the early afternoon of Saturday, March 19, making me unable to use the cane. I hobbled straight to CVS, and the pharmacy directed me to the cane/walker department. The clerk in the cane/walker department (I think his name was Alfredo or Alfonse) was so helpful and not only directed me to a replacement for the broken part but showed me how to attach it right then and there so that I could use the cane immediately. I really appreciate this level of customer service and will definitely return to this store. read more

This is our local CVS. I wish it wasn't. Normally the shelves are unorganized & a bit of a cluster. In the past, we've noticed items have been used & put back in stock (Most likely not the staff's fault). For example, the wife bought a (Chapstick like) lip hydration gloss. When she'd brought it home, she didn't notice it was previously opened & there was lipstick all over the tip! (heh heh...) After exchanging it for a new one, the clerk apologized & said, "...it happens more often than not..." As for the pharmacy, it's 50/50 that I'm either waiting for an exorbitant amount of time to pick up the wife's filled 'scripts or I'm in and out of there in mere minutes. Half of supposed stocked pain, cold & fever relievers are out-of-stock as indicated by the EMPTY slots on the shelves! C'mon man. Remember to use your "Extra Care" CVS card. I walk out of there with lotion, tissue, t.p., condoms & a Budweiser "man-can", always saving a few bucks! The interior is showing age. The exterior is showing more & more "homeless" scrounging for loose change. I find it hard to give to a man asking for change while he's wearing grungy torn up flannel, but sporting $150 Nikes. I'll bet he's got a beemer hiding around the corner. As for parking the situation: DO NOT PARK adjacent to CVS building whatsoever. Do yourself a favor and park towards the Ralph's. Updating my review to say they have improved by hiring more people it's not the employees fault that they have long lines.

Now that I've been coming to this CVS for several years, I've been getting a lot better service and personal attention from the pharmacy. Several of the pharmacy techs know me by name (they say "Hi Ms P!" or call me by my first name, which by the way, isn't actually Kuniklo). Though it probably isn't a good thing that I'm such a regular at the pharmacy, I can tell that I get treated MUCH better now that I'm a familiar face to them. It also helps that I'm patient and polite. Yes, sometimes the lines are very long. Yes, they are often understaffed. Yes, the wait for your prescription to be filled can also be long, depending on what time you come in and the season (flu and cold season is the worst, of course). But that's not the fault of those poor pharmacy techs. People needn't be such assholes to them, but yes, there are plenty of customer assholes I've seen acting rude, entitled, and obnoxious. Considering how the techs are treated, I think they hold it together pretty well. I also like the service they provide in terms of calling me at home to ask if I want to refill a regular prescription. I appreciate this service a lot given that I often don't notice when I'm running low or am too busy to remember to call in a refill. Try being nice for a change, and I guarantee you that your experience will change for the better! read more

I'm giving it two stars just because it didn't look like a bomb went off inside- ONLY IN THE BATHROOM. I had to pee really bad so I used their public restroom and Jesus was it gross. I even took pictures to show my friends, that is how gross. I'm easy dude, just have toilet paper on a roller and soap. I don't even need hand towels. This place is gross. There was either blood or feces on the outside of the door, toilet paper was ON THE GROUND WITH BROWN STUFF ON IT, the hand towels were also on the floor, and so were the toilet seat covers! How can I use any of this when 1. It's already on the dirty ground? 2. It's on the ground less than two feet from where people uncinate and deficate and often miss! And judging by the way they look they miss a lot here! I'm not picky and I don't complain when I use a SHELL bathroom or something but CVS? Clean up your act! The best part is the daily signatures on the sheet of paper meant to ensure its being cleaned! Ha. Just burn it! I wish I had instead peed in the parking lot because I would feel less dirty. If yelp could have a WARNING--STAY AWAY rating, this would be a good one to use it on. I started coming to this CVS pharmacy for my prescriptions because it is open 24 hours and I work crazy hours. MISTAKE. I have been here over 15 times and every single time it seems to get worse. I am very patient but last night was the final time I am going to make myself go through this hell of a pharmacy. I have the same 2 prescriptions every time and more times than not they only have one of them. If they have both of them, then they make me wait at LEAST an hour. I went in last night to get them filled at 7:00pm and they said they weren't going to be ready until at LEAST 10:30pm. The girl behind the counter was young and rude and seemed like she would rather die than be working there. When I asked her if there was another CVS I could go to because I needed these quickly, she just replied with "I have no idea". "Hey, she could have been having a bad day and they could have been really slammed" in a normal situation that's what I would have said. But this happens every single time. No matter what time it is when I go in, whether it 11:15pm or noon on a Sunday. There is always a long line, always more than 3 people wandering around aimlessly in the back trying to avoid eye contact with you at all costs and it always takes me close to an hour for just PICKING UP! I'm finally taking the step and moving on, for my own sanity! It sucks because it is something that I need every month but really, people, it's not worth it! read more

I can spend an hour just walking around shopping.. plus for those last minute didn't have time to run to the mall get a lovely card and specialty gift card and your set.. I use my CVS card all the time and have saved alot on monies given back to me.. so CVS your good for my wallet and well being. This is usually my go-to CVS when I need things like shampoo, birthday cards, toothpaste, etc. They carry a decent amount of brands especially some natural ones, which I like. I recently opened up a CVS card and they send some sort of coupon to my email every week. I've never really asked the staff for help but the cashiers have always been friendly. My only complaint would be the slow line movement and the fact that there's almost always a beggar or somebody trying to harass you for charity donations standing outside. read more

I was a fan of CVS until I needed to use their pharmacy. I visited this CVS on a Sunday, granted traffic is sort of high due to the weekend, however, I did use their automated system to phone in a refill for my infant daughter. I chose the option to pick it up the day after I called in just in case her medication needed to be ordered since a lot of pharmacies don't carry pepcid in liquid form. I was disappointed to see only one pick up register open, when there were two, and only one other person working in the pharmacy. Two people total and there was a line of about 5 or 6 people, I was third in line. A lady in front of me had a buttload of stuff to get and that took a good 10 minutes due to the fact that the guy had to leave the register to get another lotion since the price tag was not on it. I do realize it was not the customers fault and nor was it the guy at the registers fault either. He doesn't do the hiring, etc. Well, it came my turn and sure enough, the medication had to be mixed and the pharmacist was not on the floor, she was on break. It may have been a while ago, but I did work in a pharmacy for over 5 years and I know that a pharmacist must be on the floor at all times in order for a pharmacy to operate, if not, it will be shut down. I guess this is no longer a rule anymore, the guy (who looked no older than 18....seriously) pulled out a framed piece of paper with typing on it, I guess it is no longer a law that a pharmacist must be present at all times, the medications that need mixing cannot be dispersed and consults cannot happen without the pharmacist present. Why was this not displayed sooner though? I came back a half hour later like I was told and the framed law paper was taken off the desk and put away. I think its important that that be out at all times for consumers! I have thought about reporting this to the pharmacy board as well. I don't like how this was done and how CVS is operating here. UPDATE!!!!! I am writing this update about 3 hours after I left this store. 2 1/2 hours after I left the pharmacy the first time, I got a call from the pharmacy. It was the kid that worked behind the counter calling me to ask me if the medication that they gave my daughter, my INFANT daughter who is not even 2 months old yet, was thick or not. I took one look at the bottle, and the bottle was only filled 1/4th of the way and it should have been completely full. The pharmacist had not mixed it properly and let me leave the pharmacy like that. I was then transferred to the pharmacist who answered the phone with "yeah?!" Totally rude, until she found out who I was. She then asked me if the medication was thick and I told her that the bottle was not even full. The second thing she said was "did you give her any of the medication yet?" When a pharmacist asks that, you know something went wrong. I said no, but what if I would have? She still has not answered my question, not even when I went in to get the right medication. I went in, mad as hell, and as apologetic the pharmacist was, I just couldn't bring myself to be nice to her. This was my infant daughter, and she did her wrong. Pharmacists are human, but you don't mess with MY daughter like that, you don't let me leave with the wrong medication, especially when it's something I cannot control. You can count on me reporting this pharmacy to the pharmacy board now, bright and early tomorrow. Such a shame. read more

CVS is one of my favorite spot for shopping, specially medicine, liquor and cosmetics. I have mixed experience for this store. Nice and clean store and properly arranged. Not good experience with Pharmacy. Information is not properly sync between the pharmacy staff. Couple times it happen that one person says medicine is available and when I went to store then she told me that no it is not available. Then I told her that I spoke to the another member and she told me that it is available. Then she said it will be ready in 1 hr and you will receive a call or text. After 1.45 hrs I gave them call to check the status then they told me yes it is ready. I am giving 3 stars only for the Store and for the pharmacy member who told me about the availability. read more

i just want to thank the manager of cosmetics named Pascale(which is a very unique and beautiful name) in helping me to find the best cream for my sensitive skin. No matter what department store expensive cream and serum i used did not help me with my itchy and dry skin on my eyelids and behind the ears. she helped me to pick the best thing for my skin. as soon as i put the cream on my eyelids the dryness was gone. even though the excema or dermatitis behind my ears are still coming and going but are so mild and not that bad. she is better than a dermatologist i think. Pascale you need to become a dermatologist. you are caring, kind, professional and know what you are doing. I am thankful for all the samples you gave me to try and it's been great. there is still hope in the world if people like pascale are among us. read more

Painfully slow service! Here's the reason for my dissatisfaction.My medication comes standard in 100 pills with 25mg dosage. The medication is already packaged in a container with the correct prescription. I saw the pharmacy tech grab the bottle! He told me to comeback in 20 minutes! He could have easily given me the prepacked container of medicine, like the previous time! He would have had me out the door in minutes! However, he choose to repackage the medication in a generic pill container, and inconvenience me! Such a waste of time and resources! read more

I have her the new medication but she hung up so quickly I didn't have a chance to discontinue the previous medication. I am stunned to find out so many people have left negative reviews about the Pharmacy here. They have I believe 3 different Pharmacists- 2 females and one man. I'm not sure of the Pharmacists name but he is a very nice and helpful man (unlike the females) The staff is very friendly and they know their stuff. It does take long sometimes but I understand why since I have worked in a pharmacy before. The store itself is not bad, just a bit unorganized at times. They do have a great selections of make -up which I enjoy a lot more than other brand name cosmetics. Great perks is that they have a lot of parking. read more

AWFUL!! I've never had such a horrible trip at a drugstore, I didn't even know it was possible. I'm NEVER coming here again. And I dealt directly with the manager who didn't know his face from his toes! I placed a one-hour photo order online. Got the email the order was received, 1 hr later got the email the pictures were ready to be picked up. Went, and they couldn't find my pictures, didn't know how to reprint them with their own machine (wtf??) and had 2 employees plus the manager futzing around like chickens with their heads cut off. I wasn't the only unhappy customer- another woman said this was the worst place ever and she had been here 4 times and every time it was like this. I've been a yelp member since 2008 and this is only my 2nd review and I literally logged on to complain about how awful this place is lol. And behind the counters- whew!! If this was my store i would be ashamed- junk everywhere, shelving falling apart, nothing is organized. It looks like a bomb went off. No wonder they couldn't find my pictures. I wish I could leave negative stars. Worst pharmacy ever! Pharmacy employees are so rude! Will literally roll their eyes at you if you say anything. Have gotten short meds here, wrong prescriptions, and lost prescriptions. They don't know how to read or fill prescriptions from doctors. Even my child's pediatrician called me to tell me to change pharmacies after an encounter/ argument about what the doctor actually wanted to prescribe. Apparently they don't discriminate in their rudeness or inadequacy. Super slow as well & their hours suck. read more

Of the multiple bad scenarios I have had with this CVS pharmacy, I will give you the shadiest: Dr. prescribed 18ml of a an antibiotic for my child's ear infection: pharmacy tries to fill 30ml. It gets denied by the insurance company because 30ml is "2 months supply" and they will only approve half of the prescription and then I must return for a refill (imagine getting 4 tsp of medicine, and then needing to return for 2 more tsps...that is what was happening). So after talking to the the insurance 2x, and then holding while they talked to CVS, and THEN having CVS talk to the Dr... It was pretty clear that the pharmacist had requested nearly DOUBLE the prescribed amount of medicine from the insurance company (and therefore charging MY insurance company double) and then advising us, the parents, to "just toss the rest". Amazing....and wrong. So, I've given their slow service and rude techs the benefit of the doubt because i've gone during busy flu season and I know how grumpy sick people can be but I will not anymore.
