I used to go to Dana Drugs because they were a small, friendly, neighborhood pharmacy. But sadly they closed. I could not bring myself to go to the big chain pharmacies that don't seem to care and make you wait forever. Then I found Karen. These guys are awesome! Small, personable, they work efficiently to fill your prescription while you wait, the pharmacist is great, gives thorough instructions and is super on top it. If what you need is something they don't have, they'll order it and have it there the next day, or even advise where you can go to get it the same day if it can't wait. A man named George or something was extremely rude to me. I was recommended this pharmacy by a friend and was told to expect really great care. Instead I was talked down to by someone with an authoritarian tone. He wouldn't let me finish my first sentences, he told me I shouldn't be prescribed two medications, but im extremely disabled and I need both of them. He said my doctor shouldn't be prescribing me these together, but my doctor is a seasoned doctor on a team of 9 medical doctors that work with me to manage my disability. They are doctors from Cedars Sinai. He simply said he wouldn't fill out my prescription because he didn't want to. A prescription I've been prescribed for over a year. If this is the kind of person you can handle then this is the place for you, but just after 2 five minute conversations (most of which I wasn't allowed to speak) I didn't have the choice of going here. He told me "youre better off going to CVS" the pharmacy i told him that never has my medication?? So i don't know if that was some kind of jab. I never leave reviews, but here I am. If you're disabled then be warned and good luck. read more

At first this was the place to med's filled for my whole family. Friendly , accommodating and fast. But this has turned into a nightmare for my family. I was actually told one of our medicines where no longer being made. Which of course was not true. They partially filled an order on a control prescription and then told me the called the doctors office to let them know so we wouldn't have any trouble getting it refilled. Ha- well of course the office received no such phone call and it was a nightmare getting it refilled. I don't know why they have so much trouble ordering meds when they run out. The pharmacy down the street ordered it without a prescription to make sure they would have it and we wouldn't have any trouble. Horrible Experience Today: After so many years here this rude woman takes my call claims to be owner talks over me i had to force her to look up if Meds are even available and then when med was not in stock she did not want to transfer it to another pharmacy told me to do it. I've been using Karen for the past several months, ever since my pet cat became ill. The medication is always ready same day, and the rare times they don't have something in stock, they will let you know right away. They will always call to let you know that the meds have been prepared and ready for pick up. I really appreciate that as I only work in Burbank and i can plan to pick up during my lunch break. Also, I work at a veterinary hospital in the area, and we use Karen Pharmacy for some of our medication stock. Their delivery service is very helpful as it's not always easy to leave a busy office to pick up things that we need. They are always friendly whenever they deliver and on the phone. These people are awesome. I needed some medication for my dog, and they treated the whole situation as if they were dealing with a sick baby. After the Rx was called in by the vet, they called to discuss it with me before they filled it, then called me back to tell me when it was ready.
