    My first choice CVS in North Hollywood. Doing little big things in the NoHo Arts District, this CVS resides on the wildest intersections of the San Fernando Valley possibly top eight, so be careful especially if local and/or on foot (as someone who enjoys going green often crossing the street at Vineland Avenue /Lankershim Blvd/ Vineland Place/ Camarillo Street can be a journey. The walk times are pretty long though, but not every corner is pedestrian safe). The parking lot for this CVS is shared with The Habit, Round Table Pizza, California Credit Union and Fresh Kutz barber shop. It's got room to get in and out, but limited spaces in an oddly formed triangular lot. The layout is very condensed and during seasonal months with big holidays like now the front can be overwhelming with lots of displays, though plenty in stock. I can't speak to the pharmacy here as I've never had anything filled at this location, but I can say they seemed to be getting to people really fast this past Sunday morning. I came in for some hydration as I tend to do on the go as well as to browse their selection of things on sale. Lots of deals on holiday decor, treats, cards and more. All the gift cards are toward the front and it's definitely gift card season (they have a lot to choose from). Mostly full shelves and areas, including the cold/refrigerated beverages, food items and so forth. Easy check-out and/or self checkout + friendly/helpful service.

    I wouldn't recommend getting prescriptions filled here because if you try and call the virtual assistant hangs up on you every single time.

I…read morepreviously posted a five-star review because I was offered a gift card and another opportunity to get another $50 gift card after filling five prescriptions this was approximately a year ago. So the last time I was here was just a couple of months ago and my card was stamped and I'm on my way to getting my fifth stamp. Well for today when I gave the pharmacy personnel the card to be stamped to count toward my next $50 gift card the response was oh no that program's been over for a year. I explained to the person working and the pharmacist on duty at that time that it hasn't been over for a year because I just had it stamped about 3 months ago when I got my last prescription filled. The girl at the checkout counter kept on and on about no done now it's over for a year and mentioned something about 20% off replacing it blah blah blah and then said I could talk to the manager John. So I said well they're not going to know that I have my purchase because you didn't stamp my card and her response was you have the receipt so they're going to know that you got it today and I said okay and I they said just go talk to John okay so I'm going to go talk to John the manager. I go over to customer service to ask for John the manager and I am told that John is not the manager of the store John is the manager of the pharmacy and he's not here today. So now I'm clearly not happy that the two workers at the pharmacy clearly sent me over to the manager John assuming it's the store manager to customer service which she said yes go over there only to find out John is not the store manager he works at the pharmacy and John's not even working today. And can I go back and talk to the girls at the pharmacy no I cannot because they closed at 5:00 p.m. which is precisely the time that I went over to where they sent me to find non-existent store manager John. So that's my one star review I don't appreciate the runaround the lack of knowledge and the total argumentative attitude that the pharmacy clerk had about a program I was approached by Pavilions to join. A simple John is the pharmacy manager and he is not here today but when he comes in tomorrow you can call him and discuss it with him or come back in instead of sending me across the store full well knowing there is no John the store manager. This should have been handled differently. I am unhappy. Maybe I won't use this place again if that is how customers are treated.

I continued shopping, but eventually had to step out briefly to use the restroom at Ralph's. When I returned, all of my items had been removed, and I had to start my shopping over from scratch. This added a lot of unnecessary time and frustration. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Clear communication and better customer consideration would have made a big difference. I wouldn't recommend this location. They could have admitted "Yes, i apologize.." would have been more polite. Not only that I peed myself a little since I have stomach problems.

I thought maybe Walgreens might have it. Walked in yesterday, and no greeting until I approached the gentlemen in the photo area, and he said whatever that they had was in that section. Small selection in their Christmas decorations/ornaments isle. Couldn't find any type of Santa Claus. I guess Santa is still stuck in the North Pole. They were about to close, so I browsed the isles to see if I could find anything else. I got 2 beautiful, festive, Christmas oval shaped paper plates that came in count of 8 in each pack. Was on sale for $2.39 for each pack. Original price was $4.78. So I grabbed them. Also, got 2 Twix candy bars. Was also on sale; 2 for $2.50. Opened one and inhaled it w/out chewing first:-)) not joking! Employees were tired, I guess it was the end of their day, and they were in a hurry to go home. Raven was my cashier, rang me up, and I was the last customer to leave the store. They close at 10pm. Store was clean, except the bathroom. Toilet was not flushed, small little toilet papers were here and there, and the trash was pretty full. All of the isles were nicely stocked, items facing us, and a lot of sale items for the Holidays. Plenty of parking spaces.

    I have been a Walgreens customer for years and never had serious issues until I started using this…read morelocation. This pharmacy has been consistently unreliable and has created problems that directly affect my health. After moving from the OC to the SFV, I chose this Walgreens because it is the closest major pharmacy to my home. I have two prescriptions, and almost every single time, they are "not in stock." Worse, they dispensed one of my medications incorrectly, giving me two 50 mg pills daily instead of one 100 mg, and then billed my insurance as though it was correct. Because of their mistake, I am now missing a refill and have to go back to my doctor for a new prescription. I am currently without the necessary medication because of this location's incompetence. This is not an isolated issue. Other Yelp reviewers have reported similar problems. Even the Arleta Walgreens, where this location sent me because of their stock issues, could not fill the prescription because of the error made here. Their staff made it clear they were unhappy with the mess they had to deal with. If you care about accuracy, reliability, or basic competence, do not trust this pharmacy with your medications. Go elsewhere.

    CAUTION: My Mom left crying!…read more Today on, April 15 2022, my mom went in to show the pharmacy an opened bottle of medication they gave her. This is the Second time my mom has received her Thyroid Medication that's supposed to be sealed from Manufacturer, opened. After the first incident, she respectfully requested to obtain a sealed bottle direct from the manufacturer and yet, this happened again. My mom routinely picks up her meds and as usual this pharmacy bills her insurance. She took it home and when she finally opened the bottle, the seal had been completely tampered with and opened. (See pic) She isn't going to risk her life ingesting pills out of an opened bottle not knowing if anything is wrong with the medication. The Pharmacist dismissed my mom and made her pay out of pocket for a second NEW UNOPENED BOTTLE of medication. Since this is the second time and she's paid out of pocket twice , I plan to report this because I don't believe it's right for a Pharmacy to bill insurance and take her $90 copay for tampered medication AND then charge her a second time for a nontampered unopened bottle of medication that cost her $142.60 (receipts on hand). There was no corrections made, no apologies, no investigation in to the opened bottle they gladly gave her in the beginning of April. Yet, there was no hesitation in having her pay solely out of pocket, an additional $142.60 today because the Pharmacist said she cannot do anything. It is unbelievably frustrating to pay twice for the same medication within a few weeks! This practice is unheard of and a patient shouldn't leave in tears over her medication. I am going to look further in to this and do my best to make sure this doesn't happen to other clients. For dismissing my mom's concerns and handing her tampered medication to begin with, then getting paid out twice, one star is the lowest I can give. They should have taken the opened bottle back and investigated with their tech/pharmacy/ manufacturer instead of getting paid twice by my retired mom that's getting by on social security. This pharmacy got paid by insurance plus her copay for a bad bottle of medication that they take no responsibility for and, instead, made her pay out of pocket again to receive a sealed bottle of her medication. This definitely needs to be posted. Consider going elsewhere for your meds. If you decide to come here, BE very CAUTIOUS & OPEN/CHECK your bottles in front of them before you pay & sign! We are trying to see what recourse we will take.

The reason for the one star (and I'm being very generous) is in regard to Young In Yun. The worst customer service from a pharmacist. She was rude to my mother and myself for simply asking questions about their system. Don't know how CVS managed to hire someone like that given that pharmacists are there to assist customers with ANY questions. Young in Yun, you're not doing us a favor --it is part of your job. Young In Yun = RUDE So Young In Yun, before you hide behind your tall counter with the attitude that you're doing us a favor, buy yourself a personality with a side of customer service. For all I know Young In Yun might "accidentally" fill my prescriptions with something that might get me very sick -or worse...
