I've never visited this location up until yesterday! It is located off a busy intersection, close to the NoHo arts district. They have a medium sized parking lot and I was able to find a parking spot. Upon entering the store, you walk in to form line at the register; there were two people already waiting and no staff at the counter. One of the customers flagged down a staff member and that is how we all got some assistance. The pick up process went smooth after that hiccup. The store also offers self check out kiosks . It's too bad this location does not have a pharmacy drive thru, which would greatly help people like me who have a hard time handling the stress of very long wait lines. The team is going as fast as they can, but the demand is high. Corporate really needs to add staff and more registers. Better yet, build a drive thru. They have been refusing to release my medications for a long time, making up excuses. I do not recommend this place!

My first choice CVS in North Hollywood. Doing little big things in the NoHo Arts District, this CVS resides on the wildest intersections of the San Fernando Valley possibly top eight, so be careful especially if local and/or on foot (as someone who enjoys going green often crossing the street at Vineland Avenue /Lankershim Blvd/ Vineland Place/ Camarillo Street can be a journey. The walk times are pretty long though, but not every corner is pedestrian safe). The parking lot for this CVS is shared with The Habit, Round Table Pizza, California Credit Union and Fresh Kutz barber shop. It's got room to get in and out, but limited spaces in an oddly formed triangular lot. The layout is very condensed and during seasonal months with big holidays like now the front can be overwhelming with lots of displays, though plenty in stock. I can't speak to the pharmacy here as I've never had anything filled at this location, but I can say they seemed to be getting to people really fast this past Sunday morning. I came in for some hydration as I tend to do on the go as well as to browse their selection of things on sale. Lots of deals on holiday decor, treats, cards and more. All the gift cards are toward the front and it's definitely gift card season (they have a lot to choose from). Mostly full shelves and areas, including the cold/refrigerated beverages, food items and so forth. Easy check-out and/or self checkout + friendly/helpful service. read more

Since Covid this location has really gone downhill. Appointments are scheduled, but not honored within the wait time and shelves are locked up. You can wait 10 minutes for assistance. I miss the two excellent pharmacists who are seemingly no longer there. They answered questions patiently and thoroughly. My recent flu shot was a completely different experience, and I have a giant bruise at the site. Never had that happen before! When I left, the store alarm was going off because the person who walked out in front of me had a full backpack of stolen items. No one stopped him. I arrived at this CVS about five minutes before closing. I only needed a quick minute to use the ATM, which is located right by the entrance inside the store. It would have taken just a few seconds. However, the doors were already locked, and when I asked if I could quickly go in, the employee responded in a rather rude manner, saying that the store was already closed. What made this experience more frustrating is that I had a completely different experience at another CVS nearby. I arrived there around five minutes before closing (or right at closing time), and a staff member let me in without any issue. I was able to withdraw cash and leave before the store officially closed. I believe situations like this depend heavily on the staff, and management should address this inconsistency. Customer service and clear, consistent standards are especially important for a large retail chain like CVS. read more

This review is for the pharmacy dept. The retail side is really good, staff is friendly and helpful, love the coupons for sure. But the pharmacy is the worst! After a 20 minute wait today the pharmacist refused to honor a Good RX coupon for a prescription. He was surly as all hell too. I've used Good RX several times before at this location. I asked to see the store manager, he said they required a barcode. I called Good RX, they said all that's required is the bin number which is plainly notated on the coupon itself. I called 2 other pharmacies, they said no problem. This isn't the first time I've had problems with this particular CVS pharmacy but it will definitely be my last. read more

The pharmacy reps were giving me.contradicting info everytime but the real reason im calling is because the jackass that called me back and was cursing to his coworker about a patient and than got fiesty with me on the phone. They couldn't do the most basic thing and make sure they were typing in the right subscriber ID number. My partner ended up paying for his medication out of pocket just because he was so frustrated and they wouldn't call our insurance to figure it out. Our insurance advocate called on our behalf and determined they entered the letter I instead of the number 1 in the subscriber ID. Assuming AI was involved and they couldn't be bothered to quality check it when it was a problem. Anyways 0/10 stars, would not return. read more

This is the WORST pharmacy EVER! Time and time again, I can always trust that this pharmacy will fail/ disappoint me. First they rarely contact you when the prescription is ready to picked up. And when they do contact you telling you it's ready, you get there, wait in line, and guess what, it's not ready. The situation that puts a cherry on top of it all-- I had a prescription transferred to cvs from another pharmacy. I show up to CVS because they never contacted me and I just wanted to verify they got the transfer. When I speak to a lady at the drop off area, she asked for my info and told me that they actually don't carry this medicine. She then suggests I call another pharmacy to see if they carry it. She then hands me the transfer request form. I contact Costco and thankfully they have the medicine. However, they needed CVS to transfer the prescription to them. The Costco pharmacy calls CVS asking for the transfer, but CVS says that they never made a profile for me, but they remember talking to me-- so they can't transfer the prescription. I tell Costco that the CVS handed me the request form and she says that CVS shouldn't have done that. They call CVS back and said that they basically can't do anything and the prescription is "frozen". Sounds to me like that lady should have never given me that form because clearly she needed it to transfer the prescription. Now I need to call my doctor's office, have them make a new prescription, submit to Costco, so Costco can order it and have it delivered.... Great, thanks CVS for the unnecessary delay, for failing to communicate, and failing to do things properly. Use this pharmacy if you want nothing but frustration, delays, and extra stress. read more

Been coming here for a few years. It's alright... The pharmacy is hit or miss. Sometimes it's an easy pick up and go but so often I stop by to pick up prescriptions and they aren't ready. The amount of times I've come and gone empty handed is reaaaal. The line can be pretty long depending on the time of day. My insurance has also vanished from their system and had to go through a process to get it back. Not that it's a huge deal but when things happen again and again it's like... why? I have also run into issues with the photo department. Prints have been dented, lost, misaligned, etc. Once they had to call the manager to help us out because they weren't printing right and he never once even looked me in the eye or acknowledged I was there. All the other staff have always been really kind though. Parking lot is busy but usually can find a spot somewhat quickly. I still feel like this one is better than the other CVS on Lankershim but that one has a drive thru which is nice so pick your poison haha. read more

I have been coming to this pharmacy for over 7 years and I can't believe how rude and patronizing they have become. Don't bother looking at their office hours. They don't follow them. I rushed across town to get there prior to their lunch break and I did. But they wouldn't give me my prescriptions that were already ready because they decided to close for lunch 5 min early. I was recently here and my experience at this location was amazing. I was helped by Jasmine and Anoush and they went above and beyond to help me and my mother receive her prescription. I called and went to three different locations and nobody was willing to help. Thankfully I called this location over the phone because from the very moment I spoke with them they made me feel at ease, and that they were really there to help. They processed my mother's order rapidly and it was ready within 30 minutes. Every other location told me that they could not help me and they even told me they didn't have any inventory. I have worked in customer service in some shape of form for the last 18 years so I am hyper sensitive to the customer experience. Johnny, the beauty consultant, floored me with the level of service that he displayed today, and I had to celebrate his caliber of service. I went to the store to find a moisturizer for a friend that lives out of the country. I showed Johnny the image as I was not able to locate it on my own. Johnny recognized the brand, and tried to recall where it was displayed. He walked three aisles with me looking for the item. He was personable, informative, and visibly committed to trying to help me. We were not able to locate the item. He was not content. He retrieved his sku gun to check inventory, and noted that the item seemed to be removed from the store's inventory list and offered to check other CVS stores for me. I was disappointed and resigned to leave. Johnny then offered to check the back just in case. He returned after several minutes to let me know that he was not able to find it. I thanked him, and turned to leave, and he asked me to wait. He then walked over to another aisle that we had not visited, and low and behold we were able to find a few skus from the line, but it appeared that the moisturizer I was looking for was sold out. I happen to notice one fallen box behind the other items, and low and behold it was THE MOISTURIZER!!!!! The both of us literally erupted in cheers. I was so grateful and felt like I had won the lottery. I was blown away be his commitment to not let me walk away empty handed, and even if I had I still would have written this review. I have had better experiences at this CVS in the past couple years, and today everyone one was so helpful I needed to update my review. The pharmacist helped me solve a challenging issue today and also initiated a transfer and got the rx I came in for ready in 15 mins, even though it was sent elsewhere originally. That was excellent. In the past couple months, other pharmacists also really did their best to help me with the authorization problems I was having on a specific medication. It was really frustrating for everyone but they really tried to help me, they even called my insurance and the manufacturer to help me try a coupon. Then someone on the floor helped me find a nasal spray I hadn't seen, after carefully checking the entire cold/flu/nasal spray aisle. It was in the allergy aisle and I hadn't known that was a separate area. They were easily able to spot it for me, I felt kind of bad since I hadn't checked the right aisle, but the woman was very kind. The checker at the register then helped me get the advertised discount on an item that wasn't coming up as the tagged price. I know this store can get crazy, packed and stressful. Luckily it wasn't crowded when I came in, and everyone was so kind in giving me the help I needed. read more

Came to pick up meds in the eve after work before a trip, pharmacy said open until midnight. It was like 8:30 or so and it was Already closed. Came back, same thing, so I had to leave on a trip and I could not take my medication. I tried also to call them before and nobody answers the phone. Came back today and told the pharmacists who kept arguing that the sign is not there. I know they have a tough job and they are busy, same with most of us. I came back to get my meds and they removed them because "I did not pick them up in the time frame they have". The pharmacist girl went to see the sign after arguing no sign was there, so I tool a photo and she said, oh , thats for the CVS STORE . came back 45 min later and now they tell me they don't have my meds till tomorrow. If you want your prescriptions filled or refilled accurately, in a timely manner and without the pharmacy manager being obstructive or blaming your doctor's office for not having Rx's available then go elsewhere. If you don't want to travel to the store and wait in line for a simple enquiry, then don't bother calling them, you'll spend hours on hold in between them hanging up on you then choosee another pharmacy. If you don't want to listen to the same recorded message at least four times each minute that you are on hold, find a different pharmacy. If you want attitude, terrible communication, awful customer service and enjoy spending hours in line or on hold, then this is the perfect place for you. If I could go anywhere else, I would, but unfortunately my HMO dictates that I use CVS. I have never had such a prolonged terrible experience with a business; all other things being equal I'd never set foot anywhere near this place. read more

Do yourself a favor and avoid this location, it's so badly managed, it's a health hazard. I can walk to it and my husband needed Claritin D for his allergies. So we went, trying to get in and out fast during these times. Not so easy, between a recent remodel (so not necessary since this is a newish store, they're trying to make it look like a Macys Cosmectics counter, not your regular store), store employees unloading boxes at almost every aisle and too many people wondering around and not practicing social distancing! They need to follow other stores rules and have people stock up while the store is closed! People who work here are rude and don't know where merchandise is located, I needed help to find some over the counter pills since the layout is different! She didn't know what I was talking about! I got Claritin D (pharmacy staff is a tad better). Unfortunately I had to stay in another line in the front of the store to get the other few items, mostly over the counter pills. Pharmacy line was fine, but the machines don't work and have to keep touching screens. Front line - well, badly organized. They have a guy behind the counter in a hazmat suit like he's straight form "The Craizies". OK, but people behind me couldn't stay behind the lines taped on the floor and were lining up behind me, right behind me! Someone from CVS needs to police the lane. I had to do it and folks got offended. I'm a Yelper, I'm social, I love chatting, but right now we need to do our part and respect rules to stop this virus that spreads too fast. We need to stop being sensitive and childish and respect rules! CVS needs to keep a line of people outside like grocery stores and let just a few folks inside to avoid such situations! The manager of this location needs to do a better job! I don't go out these days, staying inside is doing our part, but if I need to go to a pharmacy again this location is out of the question! This place is the worst in Customer Service. The pharmacists are the most condescending and rudest people I've ever seen at a pharmacy. I switched pharmacies after my 1st puck up. The managers here are non existent. The cashiers are great typically but over worked as they are the only ones doing anything. The items I need are typically locked up, today I tried to get a bottle of shampoo and conditioner which I saw were $90.00 each, and I wanted to read which one I needed but an employee was literally sitting in front of the locked counter on the floor and WOULD NOT MOVE! I asked for someone to open the counter, after 15 minutes, I ended up getting a cheap brand and will just go somewhere else to get what I need. This is why people shop on Amazon. I had a lot stuff to buy quickly today and would have walked out of there with over $250 in stuff I needed. I left with $15.00 in product, and bought half on Amazon and will get the rest at Walgreens on Lankershim and Magnolia, they are great! read more

I really wish I could give this CVS pharmacy no stars. This is by far the worst and rudest pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and find another pharmacy. For starters you can be on hold for up to 3 hours. 3 HOURS? I'm sorry but what could possibly keep them so busy that they can't pick up the phone? Every time I go in there most of the pharmacists are just sitting around. Next the pharmacist that work behind the counter are some of the rudest people I have ever come across. I was given the wrong prescription and when I told them that it was the wrong one the pharmacist raised her voice at me and snapped at me saying it was the same as what I should be taking. Every time I call to refill the prescription it takes them 2 weeks to fill it and OF COURSE it's the wrong one every single time. I've been very calm with them UNTIL I got yelled at. I called 2 weeks ago to fill the prescription telling them once again that I needed a specific prescription and they told me that they would order it. Fast forward to today, I get a text saying it's ready. I go in to pick it up and it's the wrong one once again. I told the pharmacist this and she cuts me off and raises her voice at me again. Something is very wrong with this pharmacy. When you have to wait for 1 hour and 26 minutes for someone to answer the phone. Usually it's "only" 40 minutes on hold. Something is very wrong when CVS texts "your medicine is being back ordered, there's a delay" and when 3 days go by and you enquire with a human as to the status, they tell you your doctor NEVER called the prescription in. Something is very wrong when your doctor sends in your prescriptions two weeks in advance and half of them do not show up on CVS system. My doctor tries again the day after they are due. To no avail. She tries again. The pharmacists still can not see the prescriptions in their system. What's going on with your system CVS? I give you one star because you are giving the Covid Vaccine and another star for the few employees who aren't rude and work hard. read more

I was just there as a brand new customer as I changed insurance. I needed to do two things, get 2nd shingles shot and pick up my prescriptions. I had a 1 pm appointment for shot because when I called store (30 mins in hold) I was told I " couldn't just walk in" I needed appointment. Secondly, I wanted to give insurance info over phone and was told I had to come in. I arrived at 12:50 for my 1p appointment and was told I'd have to come back at 2p because pharmacist was at lunch.... I said but I have an appointment and they didn't even apologize they just said, "again well pharmacist is not here. You can go to another store". I sad but I was told on the phone after on hold for 30 mins I HAD to have an appointment??? So, instead of it being a total waste of time I said ok well I'm a new customer and need to pick up my prescriptions. Here's my insurance info so you can apply my insurance. Guess what, I was told no can do because.... pharmacist is at lunch and we can't handle the insurance!!! So here I sit in my car waiting for the infamous PHARMACIST!! You won't believe this I just went back giving the pharmacist plenty of time to be back and I was told, "WE ARE OUT OF THE 2nd DOSE FOR SHINGLES!!!! Omg I am ready to pull my hair out. My CVS in studio city did not have my eye drop so the only place that had my eye drop was North Hollywood on Lankershim Blvd - it was already ordered , when I arrived my eye was already so irritated . The girl at the pharmacy counter said that the wait was one hour !!! I told her kindly if it possible make it faster since my eyes were already so red and could not even open my eyes ... without any sympathy she said sorry NO , you have to wait .
