This pharmacy has been a game changer for me but even more for my cats. Getting meds compounded has always been a challenge. Either chewy takes a week when I need it ASAP, or the other compounding place in Encino that my vet keeps trying to use can't fill my prescription (because it's controlled and they don't carry them). Seizure meds are not something that you can skip or wait to refill and because I'm human, sometimes I forget to call my refill in, but Blend is always fast. Aren, one of the owners, is always happy to take my questions and he's almost always there. He even went out of the way to make me a special, tiny capsule for my other cat's prednisolone. My vet wanted me to give 1/2 tablet every other day because his medicine only came in one size. I kept forgetting which day was pill day and which day was skip day, so we had a special, smaller dose compounded. Aren even made sure that my capsule was a custom color so I didn't get it confused with all the other pills for my other cat, and they hand delivered same day! They even carry SQ fluids, so I can get those local, instead of waiting for a shipment or driving on the 101. I can tell that the gentlemen that own this pharmacy really care about the community and we will be using them going forward for all our meds. read more

Just want to add my glowing review to the others here! Valley Drug stopped filling pet prescriptions, and sent my cat's prescription to Mixlab. They were clearly overwhelmed with the influx, made mistakes, canceled my order without telling me - and in the end, the formulation they sent was very different than the one we had been getting, oil based instead of water based. The cat absolutely hated it and freaked out, and then drooled for more than an hour afterward. This happened over the weekend, of course, and it's a daily medication. I reached out to BlendRx over the weekend, and Aren answered me right away!! He knew exactly what the issue was, assured me they could provide the water-based formula, and had it ready to pick up first thing Monday morning. He came out of the lab to meet me and was so lovely in person, so warm and kind. It seems that getting pet prescriptions filled is WAY harder than human prescritions, but Aren and Blend Rx were such a comforting, helpful antidote to the stress of this situation!! read more
