We have two CVS stores close to my house. Neither one of them had what I was looking for. The…read moreshelves were empty. So, I decided to drive all the way to Glendale to see if they had what I was looking for and they did. Went in yesterday around noon and all I needed to get was 4 value pack of Febreeze. One the Linen and Sky scent, and the other one their original Gain scent. I also needed to buy 4 Glade applicators for my plug-in Glade adapter. Well, found everything. The applicators--2 were clean linen scents, one was Hawiian breeze, and the other one was an orchid blossom. When I was looking for my items, another lady that was stocking more stuff, asked me if I needed help. I replied "yes, if you could please unlock those windows so I can get my items," She said for me to wait, and she will get the key. Didn't take long for her return. She came back, unlocked both cases, and I was on my way to the registers. Her name was Mary. Sweet Mary. She even told me "people steal stuff, and that is why we have to lock a lot of our items". I smiled and proceeded forward. Can't comment on their pharmacy, because we get our essential needs, medications, vitamins from the one that is a lot closer to me. Store was super clean, employees were very nice and helpful, has a drive thru, and ample underground parking structure. You can also park outside. Last, but not least, I had a $5.00 coupon for my $20.00 purchase. She honored that too. I wish that they can bring back that $10.00 care pass. I don't know why they discontinued that care pass? It saved us a lot of money. Now you have to sign up for it, and pay $5.00 for each month. Not beneficial at all. Total for all that was $37.03 including tax, minus my coupon. They also have great discounts all around the store. One of the best CVS stores that I have been to in a very long time. Keep up the great work! Overall, had a very nice experience at this CVS.

I had a very disappointing experience with the manager, Andrea. Since I was unfamiliar with the…read morestore, and was in a rush to get back to the hospital to visit my mother, I had to ask her for assistance three separate times. Each time, instead of helping me, she simply told me to press a button to call for assistance while she continued her conversation with a subordinate colleague. I found her demeanor extremely rude and dismissive. I was genuinely surprised to learn that she was a manager, as her interaction with a customer was anything but welcoming or helpful. A manager should understand the importance of stopping to assist a customer, especially when the customer is directly asking for help. Andrea did the complete opposite. Some additional training in customer service and the principle of putting the customer first would certainly be beneficial.

I usually go to the CVS located near Glendale Memorial Hospital. I happened to be in the area, and…read moreI remembered that I needed to make a purchase, so I popped into this CVS. Plenty of free parking. Many things to buy at CVS whether it be makeup, candy, junk food, dog stuff, medicine, etc, etc, etc,... I'm a member, so I frequently get discount coupons which is always appreciated. I highly recommend signing up. I prefer the CVS by the hospital because this CVS doesn't have self checkout!! UGH!!!

(Shopped 04/16/2026 TH @ 12:00pm, 03/02/2026 MO @ 3:00pm, 02/17/2026 TU @ 10:00am, many times…read morebefore and certainly many times after): You see... this place was anything and everything all at once vs. just a pharmacy! In recent years, I started coming to Glendale's East Broadway CVS Pharmacy location with some regularity as I took my mom for whatever this-and-that she needed. It was conveniently close to our P.O. Box, minimal traffic in the area except when the nearby elementary school let out, and the parking situation was usually easy. Because of these reasons, I then found myself shopping for random things because I was in the area. In particular, I frequented them for some of my favorite everyday-used brands/items: contact lens solution, lime juice for making cocktails, past holiday sale candy, shampoo, and toothpaste. Let's get into my latest shopping bags to give you an idea that this place wasn't just a pharmacy! PURCHASE(S) Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs 9.6oz Bag ($3.50 x2), Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Spring Sprinkles Miniatures 9.3oz Bag ($3.50), Reese's White Eggs ($1.50): I loved chocolate and peanut butter candy, so why wouldn't I want to raid the shelves once a respective holiday ended usually at 50%-off!? These four bags of Easter-themed candies "should" last me for at least a couple of weeks! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=rWl6cVgn9ZJ-0IvKIeNhlg Crest 3D White Toothpaste Radiant Mint 3.3oz Tube ($5.00), Hershey's Kisses Milk Chocolate Valentines Day 9.6oz Bag ($1.50), M&Ms Peanut Butter Cupid's Blend 9.48oz Bag ($1.50): My favorite toothpaste brand since I was a kid, I liked the way my mouth tasted after brushing, but I don't know about the whole whitening thing. Plus, my dentist would kill me if he knew how much candy I ate! And again, more candy this time Valentine's Day-themed! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=7o0H_sfZGFjgtRAmc2UwPg Pantene Pro-V Volume & Body 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner 12floz Bottle ($6.29 x2): I've been using this same shampoo since university because it had a nice fragrance and added some oomph to my fine and new thinning hair. Plus, less places are carrying this exact product, but CVS continued to do so at a wonderful price. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=EAGPhJhCcKvi289qw3Vdpg SERVICE I knew where everything was, so I rarely needed any assistance. But once I got to the checkout counter, the staff was friendly enough but never more than they needed to be which was fine. I believed they used to have some self-checkout counters but no more. Easy-peasy - thank you! PARKING (FREE): Located in an outdoor strip mall, they shared a sizable lot with several businesses, I usually found a spot. However, if necessary, there appeared to be spaces along the main drag of Broadway and all surrounding side streets - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Your standard big box convenience store with the pharmacy located along the back wall, the checkout counters right in the front, a refrigerated area towards the back-left wall, the liquor https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=vhuw7vrwurbTeDGP2MlvVg along the front-left wall, and rows upon rows of shelving https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=cdQff_ZvbBDkrXDlQNLqqQ that displayed everything else was in the middle of the entire store. A minimal amount of natural lighting came in through the front glass windows and doors while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=CRSJQYS1HoeRtgnW-nOttQ ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL By default, CVS Pharmacy's Glendale East Broadway location had become my favorite pharmacy to go to, and I don't see that changing. The prices were generally comparable except maybe the actual grocery items which I've never bought, I couldn't speak about the pharmacy which I've never used, and the sale on the holiday candy was phenomenal! The many locked-up cases were sad to see, but that was more for a longer social commentary discussion. The one negative I had with them was their mile-long paper receipts loaded with a ton of coupons you probably wouldn't use! But, I felt their loyalty rewards program was pretty good because it seemed like I always qualified for a $5.00 cashback coupon. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $37.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Everything was organized very well in any knew exactly which aisle to go to. I then checked out at the self check out, which made a lot easier. I was able to use my points and rewards. They're fairly easily redeem. I did come across a minor hiccup, but the team member was quickly there to be able to troubleshoot things for me. And a few moments later I was out of the store. It was very efficient shopping trip, which I appreciated.

After digging the box out of the trash we saw that the lights were now covered in garbage, so I called the store and spoke with manager on duty, explaining that I have the receipt and the box the lights came in but the bad lights were a disgusting in trash. The manager was unwilling to be helpful or gracious and didn't care that we made a large purchase or that we were regular customers and insisted that we had to pull the bad lights out of the trash, clean them off and return it all to them in order to get a replacement or a refund. They did not care that we were inconvenienced by a bad piece of lighting they sold or the fact that we had to spend out time now to drive all the way back to their store to deal with this. This unfriendly, dismissive event was but another that we've had at this CVS which has horrible customer service. We will no longer go to this store and will go out of our way to go farther to the next CVS in Montrose. Avoid this store, since they will make it as difficult for you as possible if something goes wrong.
