A so-so outlet of the CVS chain; the interior isn't particularly neat, the service is only so-so fast, but the employees are reasonably friendly. Was last in here to purchase toiletries when staying at a hotel, as well as to pick up some snack food. Snack food, they have in plenty. Travel-size toiletries, not so much. Particularly puzzling was the shortages of store-brand allergy medicine. Perhaps there was a run due to cedar fever season? Worth a visit if you're out late, inhaling substances that you really shouldn't be putting into your body, and suddenly find yourself in the grips of the munchies. read more

A gallon at $9.99? I thought it must be a mistake. Asked the cash register attendant to fix because it's a mistake. He called the manager to fix. Manager said he can't fix the price because it's not a mistake. Price is higher because of supply and demand. Then I realized that after the February 2021 winter snowpocalypse (the following weekend) they had raised the price. Went to this location for a COVID test on June 22. Three weeks later-still no results. The staff at this store take literally no responsibility for anything because "the testing is done at a lab" They will not advocate for you at all. They will only give you a generic hot-line number which is absolutely worthless. IF you can actually get through to a live person you will be told simply to keep checking your emails for notification that your results are in. They give you a blank stare when you tell them that you've waited for weeks and not received any emails. Well, obviously there's a PROBLEM that needs investigating because it shouldn't take 3 weeks to get results back! I attempted to pick it up multiple times, and they said it needed doctor approvals...my doctor called them to approve it, went back and they said the prescription expired. I've only used them as a pharmacy for 3 months but not receiving one medication for all three months; I will never be going back. They don't know what eff they're doing and due to their complete incompetence, I'm still without my meds that I need. The pharmacy department is one of the worst. Manager is very rude and unhelpful. I have a dog with epilepsy and they have screwed up filling his medication on more than one occasion. Not allowing us to manually enter our CC number when my husband forgot his wallet, and they were about to close, and unfortunately we were out of our dogs Meds and needed them filled that evening. Another time they didn't bother to let us know they were out of an emergency seizure medication, and had us waiting around for 4 hours expecting a call or text, yet no one contacted us to tell us they were out. This poor customer service and poor management can cause severe medical problems with their customers. People depend on pharmacy's to run efficiently and to be i. I went in here yesterday because it was convenient and I needed to get a new passport photo done. So I walked up to the photo counter which is right there with the check out cashier area and I stood there for what seemed forever .... about 15 minutes really. Finally someone from the cashier area advised they would be over in a few more minutes ... OK whatever it has already been way more than a few, but you know take your time .... that is what went through my head as I said, ok no problem. So the lady comes over to help me and I advised her I needed to get a passport photo taken. She takes out the digital camera and takes the photo. Then she goes over to the kiosk to begin to print. I could tell right away she did not really know what the heck she was doing. She told me that the photo did not take and we needed to try it again. So we went back in front of the big screen and then she told me that there was an error on the camera. I looked at it and it said that the memory card was full. She then tried to find another card, but there was not one with the exact same memory size as they were using. I mentioned to her that we could probably just delete some of the old photos off of it. She did not know how to do this, so I told her I could probably figure it out. She handed me the camera and there was a different error on it now that said memory card unusable. At this point any button we pushed was not getting rid of the error. She finally said looks like it is not going to work, I am sorry. Yeah me too... waste of my time. Both my proximity and perpetual need for random stuffs (lip balm, nail polish, gum, paper towels, eye drops and so on) brings me to CVS more often than I'd like. While the store itself is organized effectively, things don't seem to run very efficiently. The line is usually 5-8 people deep but it's really no fault of the associate who's trying to move things along as quickly as possible - ahem, fellow customers: CVS is not where you go to buy a week's worth of groceries. Stale magazines consistently outlive their designated shelf life after the new issue has arrived at other retail outlets - major pet peeve. Also, the prices at Walgreens are generally better. But still I continue coming because you're oh-so-close. I got juice, change for the meter, water, tweezers etc etc But . . . . . it's in front of the bus stop - so it has so 'interesting' people hanging out and coming in. A little uncomfortable. Okay so I'm only deducting one star because of ONE person. When I called to ask for some vaccinations (8/15/18) DANIEL answered the phone and he guided my husband through his questions, he told us to call back and ask for him. When I called back he was SO helpful and patient, helping us figuring out of my insurance covered the vaccines. However, when I got to the pharmacy, I realized the label has my old address (sort of defeating the purpose of getting them ready by the time I got there) and the person that helped me reprint the labels seemed SO BOTHERED to help. All I needed was the correct address on those records. She seemed to be the pharmacist, she was wearing a white lab coat and I believe her name tag said something like "Cassey Gracey" or "Gracey Cassey" no clue, but just by reading the reviews here it sounds like it isn't her first rodeo. In my opinion, I know everyone can have bad days, but if you work in customer service and have multiple complains, better change jobs, you're on the wrong field. When I realized that then reprinting the labels I apologized to her and she didn't even acknowledge me...she didn't even look up. So rude. I booked online with Minute Clinic, because I didn't want my high schooler to miss much time from school for a strep test. I drove 20 minutes out of my way, because the CVS website gave me a definite appt time and told me to arrive five minutes early and I would be promptly seen upon entering my code into the kiosk. I received confirmation texts including this code. When I arrived there was a crowd of people waiting and a harried provider (probably nurse practitioner) who announced the kiosk wasn't working and my code that I had to check in was not going to work. She said she didn't have any record of my spot in line and she'd do the best she could. This was not said with any sincerity. So... instead of being part of the herd of people that was being mismanaged, I drove 30 minutes north Medspring Urgent Care at Anderson Mill. Perfect experience and my online check in was honored. If CVS is having a problem with their kiosk, then the online check-in mode should be disabled. COMPLETE waste of my time. read more

We were in town for the weekend and it was typically the first place we would come across from our hotel where some necessities could be obtained. I really don't like CVS and this CVS was just like every other. Sure, they have what you need, but not always the brand or enough to make it through the day. They don't seem to care about restocking either. The employees at all CVS's just seem lazy and apathetic to me. Just as every other CVS I have been to, there are 5 people in line and nobody bothers with opening a second register. Luckily we were just relaxing on vacation and were not in a hurry. We wanted bottled water and there were a few brands stocked, but most of the case was empty. I woke up one morning with a headache after some margaritas the night before, so we went here at 6:30 a.m. for aspirin to find it didn't open until 8!!!?? That's just pathetic. read more

I normally shop at the CVS local to me, but my rx ran out shortly before I had to travel out of town. My own CVS was rather unhelpful in 1)letting me know they were out of stock and 2)that they weren't going to be in stock for days, even when I attempted pick up 2 days before I ran out. They told to me to call around where I was traveling. Not only was this location the first I tried, but they had my rx in stock, and even suggested another generic just in case mine had that on hand (I didn't bother. I felt that should have been offered to me by my local one.) Thank you pharmacy department for saving the day, and not making me wait 3 days (I'm not supposed to skip more than 1) like mine tried! The Pharmacy itself is pretty good. I do hate that it went from being a 24-hour to closing at 9pm! That sucks! And it affects me, since there is a Walgreens that's24 hours right down the street....but I still choose the CVS over crappy Walgreens pharmacy. The pharmacy typically has my presciptions & I can get it in 15 mins most of the time. Now the store itself is another matter! They have a horrible selection of basic items, especially pet items. The pharmacy department manager, Cassie, and her associate Lauren, do not even meet or present the profession levels defined in CVS's code of conduct. Neither one greeted customers as they patiently waited for prescriptions, drop offs or consultation. Both looked at you like cows grazing in a pasture. Neither were apologetic to the wait time. Neither seemed to even care. It's disturbing to know that both individuals have no clue as to who they represent. Apparently none of what the COC policy "I" read had any significant impact on their front counter presentation. I had to get the store manager involved to discuss the issues I was having and make them aware of the pharmacies lack of enthusiasm. CVS - TRAIN the pharmacy team to have listening skills, treat people with compassion and not as a pain in their day. Hire persons with people skills and train them to greet people, say thank you and/or just simply acknowledged those standing in line. I have about had it with this pharmacy. I moved closer to this location so I decided to have all my scripts transferred here from another CVS. One of my doctor's sent a script to the old CVS, no big deal. I asked this CVS to have it transferred over. They said it would be ready in an hour. I show up an hour later and I was told that they didn't get it done yet, to come back another time. My phone is blowing up with calls from CVS saying I had meds ready....sure enough. The old CVS! I went in today to get the script and they still haven't requested it. So this is #3 trips to get one script. I told the girl that this was my third trip for one script and not even a sorry. Carmen is the best! She called me back multiple times because I was having an issue with my insurance company. She called them directly and figured out the problem. Not to mention when I go in there she's typically running two registers simultaneously to try to accommodate customers as quickly as possible. This CVS is always busy and they do a ton of volume, so sure once in a while someone gets something wrong. For me it's all about the attitude of the employees and Carmen knocks it out of the park! Thank you!!! My only complaint with CVS overall is that their prices are insanely high. Even with all the coupons and discounts it's still cheaper to go somewhere else. read more

For Pharmacy staff - a world of thank you and just fantastic service. My Dad's $500 prescriptions were discounted only because a pharmacy rep there located coupons for them all to make it $174 (after insurance too). I did have to drive down from Round Rock to South Austin to pay for these but security feature that might be remedied with online payments. However, the extra mile helped a million times more when my father was in need. I didn't get the woman's name but was the evening of 6/17 Wednesday. Thank you CVS for having some wonderful employees that do care! In the last six months my husband and I have used this clinic to treat cold and cough systems and have both had to go to follow up appointments at different doctors. To get real medicine. I'm embarrassed to say I stayed at this same pharmacy for over two years. I called corporate twice in an attempt to resolve my issues, and nothing ever happened. The second time I called, I had to follow up again because the pharmacy manager lied and told the people at corporate that he had resolved the issue with me. I know CVS is a terrible place to work and that they are underpaid, but there is no excuse for the rudeness and incompetence I found here. They screwed up prescriptions on a monthly basis and consistently blamed my doctor. It was never my doctor's fault. Not once. They are rude, inefficient, and they did nothing ever to make up for their sometimes catastrophic mistakes. There are at least one hundred other pharmacies in town.
