It is definitely not the massive Targets that exist in suburbs and throughout the United States, but for the people that live in the area and for me who sometimes is in the area and needs to make a quick stop, it's super convenient, accessible, and the free validated parking is always welcomed. I knew better, but I went anyway and now I remember why. Two Stars. They had what I needed, but the experience was awful. I only came to the 5th Street Target because it was the only place that had what I needed,a simple pen for black label for homemade gifts. I came against my better judgment, and honestly, I wish I hadn't. First off, the parking is a mess. You have to park in the garage and get validation to avoid paying $7. There's no handicap parking right in front of the elevator entrance either, which makes things way harder than it should be. I could have used street parking but didn't feel like being hassled by the men that wait in front of the store. Once I got inside, I started noticing a man, Hispanic, curly hair, maroon shirt, no name badge walking past me multiple times in different sections. First in the makeup aisle, then again when I moved to another area, and again a third time. It really felt like he was watching me, not shopping. He made me super uncomfortable. I was using the Target app to scan items and make sure I was getting the right prices. Just trying to get in and out quickly because, truth be told, I've been avoiding Target for a while now. When I checked out, one of my items rang up higher than what the app said. I went to Guest Services, showed the price on my phone, and was told I must've grabbed the wrong thing. I hadn't, I scanned it myself before adding it to my cart. All this over a few markers. I'm sticking with my boycott. I came here trying to support my own project and left feeling watched, dismissed, and frustrated. read more

This Target isn't a place of business that values customer service. Allow me to explain. If you go there and don't care then this isn't a review you need to concern yourself with. This place doesn't care if you never receive customer service or support. If you want them to treat you with customer service, good luck. Unfortunately this location doesn't know what that actually means. I just left there after being called several names and not receiving anything like customer service. The security there thinks it's their job to tell customers how they should behave and what they are allowed to do as customer. Silly Rule! I have never run into a security cop that thought it was there job to tell a customer what or how they are suppose to be when shopping at target. But this one did, and did he do it with rudeness. I have always been allowed to shop here even n if I have forgotten my bike lock. But tonight... NO! GET YOUR BIKE OUT OF HERE AND GO AWAY. CRAZY! THIS IS THE WORST TARGET I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. Visiting from California. Have not been to Target since November. I was excited to make a purchase of several items from clothing to shoes to toiletries. I was using my app and scanning my items. The checkout girl passed me on to another sales associate who then proceeded to check two other people before finishing with me. I asked if i could be checked out. They seem annoyed i was using my App. I also wanted to order a quilt i. found on sale for $41.99. I was then passed on to a throws associate who told me if i ordered on line it was full price. It's been 1 whole year since I last left a review for this Target location & I have to say that, while I enjoy shopping at this Target store after a brunch trip to Snooze AM, which is located a few stores down..this store has lost some of its shine. My biggest "eh" about this Target location is the restroom. There's nothing worse than a nasty public restroom & since this location only has 2 restrooms that are coed shared, there have been a few times, where I just walked right out of the restroom because of how nasty it was w/ out even using it. read more

Not the best target experience I have had. Not really ADA. If it was not for the helpful security guard seeing me struggling I wouldn't have been able to get in. Using a walker and on O2 I have to mind my steps. I asked for bottled waters. Was told they were on the back shelf along the back wall. I got there and there was only the gallons. Walked back to the front and they had a display by the register. I had to ask for someone to unlock a nursing pillow, really! A short shopping trip lasted almost two hours. No one wanted to help and were annoyed when asking for help. Thank you to the security guard. Will not be back to this location. Oh and had to pay for parking ;( read more

Worst store Ive been in across the USA. The checkout people are among the worst I have experienced.

I needed to grab some things from a pharmacy while out for a walk in this part of Austin about a month ago and was pleased to happen upon this Target location. It was way cleaner and better organized than almost any Target location I've been to in years, so I was quickly able to find what I needed and get out. It has everything I need for any of my quick errands. Clean, organized, and great costumer service. I love that I can ride my bike here, and it helps to check the Target app for things that are in stock and inventory has been accurate. Regular Targets can be waaay too overwhelming and just busy. This one mainly has self-check outs, but there's always a Target employee nearby in case you need help, they also have two regular registers. Fair prices, some sales, will come here every time. read more

Weirdest circumstances in the world for me to end up at this Target multiple times. I was supposed to be in Europe on vacation when this Target opened, but alas Coronavirus happened and here we are. Happy to finally have this Target in my neighborhood, only wished it was a bit bigger. The 5 stars come from their employees. Obviously it's been a ****ing mess trying to get toilet paper thanks to all of the hoarders. I was almost out and kept going to this Target daily since their app said they had it in stock. It wasn't every time I went. I finally spoke with one of their team members who was going to be nice enough to take down my phone number and try to get in touch when a shipment came in. Not a fan of this Target. It's a mini Target, often doesn't have what I am looking for. It's right next to the Whole Foods on the East Side. They really don't carry a lot of what people are looking for. Many people go in looking for something, and then leave with something they settled for instead, because they didn't find what they were actually looking for. Came here for some Hanukkah stuff and was informed they don't carry anything. Like NOTHING for Hanukkah, not even a cheap menorah or dreidel. Of course there was plenty of Christmas decor. The store employee told me it was probably because they're a "smaller location." ...I'm confused. Are Jewish people not allowed to shop at a smaller Target?? Might be the world's smallest Target. Selection is small due to the size constraint. Employees were super nice and helpful. You can park in the underground garage and get a validation ticket at checkout or at the guest services station. read more

Came in for online order pick up and I was promptly helped. As I was waiting a couple of employees approached me to see if I needed help but obviously had been helped already. Later was buying accessories for the device I had purchased and the store associate was super helpful unlocking some locked items for me.
