It is definitely not the massive Targets that exist in suburbs and throughout the United States, but for the people that live in the area and for me who sometimes is in the area and needs to make a quick stop, it's super convenient, accessible, and the free validated parking is always welcomed. Due to its size, it has a lot less stuff than a typical Target outside the city, but having the essentials makes it perfect for getting in and out of. Shoutout connivence! hello human race and target customers, i would like to share with you the harassment, the prejudice, and the unpleasant experience i just recieved from miss jackie(door monitor) that was not just racist but totally uncalled for by this very hateful and mean target greeter at this location so that we can see to it that her behavior is expressed and dealt with because this person has no reason to be the go to when it comes to having a job anywhere including a target that has customers simply wanting to enjoy a pleasant experience when shopping. Jackie isn't a person that offers a kind hello let alone a warm experience. allow me to share with you my prejudice experience just received moments ago. i am a 58 year old white male living in a beautiful city america. now jackie is a human being just like me, but unfortunately she is not a pleasant greeter working the front of target. if she was i would not be here... no smile, no hello and definitely no welcoming personality either. before i could step in the front door fully i was being approached by her with a look of dislike and a disgust towards me that wasn't necessary at all and certainly could have been handle better with just a little more respect. i was tired and on my way home after traveling on my bike with a very heavy and now rain and dirt filthy over size back pack that i wasn't comfortable wearing inside the store just so I could purchase 1 item. so respectfully i figured that I would leave it by the door and ask the greeter if it would be OK. so i set it down and approached her with a warm smile only be shut down by her approach and her reprimand of telling me that I can't leave my bag there. when I attempted to have dialog with her i immediately knew that she wasn't going to hear it nor be respectful towards me let alone kind, i shut down my approach and said nothing and tried to not respond and hurry to grab my one item, but before i could walk away and ignore her rudeness she was heading towards my back pack making verbal treats to throw my bag outside on the sidewalk. i thought, really? wow! she was doing it all with a hateful smile towards me. i just couldn't believe it. so before she was able to actually grad my bag and throw it outside i grabbed it and put on my back and walk away. i thought to myself what a pooh butt she was towards me and after getting my item and giving this experience a thought i decided to not make my purchase and just walk away. but only after getting her name from another employee that has always been very kind, welcoming and patient with me in the past. I then simply walked out the door to leave. and would believe that she was actually giving me another spiteful and hateful smile and slight giggle. i couldn't believe it and i was so upset from her prejudice and spiteful demeanor that it upset my stomach. but like you and probably even her i am just a customer that wants to be greeted with a smile and welcoming hello when i walk into a place of business that puts greeters/regulator/loss and prevention employee at the front door. Jackie, you are such a pretty young lady to be so as a matter of a fact and spiteful like towards customers coming through the doors. i hope that you are approached and terminated from working a my local target because you aren't the person target needs working for them and your attitude is very ugly and completely not fit for any position when it comes to having respect for those who support your source of income and living. management, i pray to God that you consider my review and have this young lady removed from your place of business. you can do so much better than miss Jackie. please do something to make sure no one gets treated poorly by an employee that doesn't care to be working for your company and your customers. good luck and God bless you young lady. read more

I'd call this one a "fun-sized" Target, although there isn't much fun about it. Convenient, for sure, if you need some basic staples in the area, but it's so small that there's hardly any range or variety. If you want a specific brand, you're almost certainly out of luck. For groceries, you'd do much better to hop over nextdoor to Whole Foods, which isn't even markedly more expensive for comparable conventional options. Security presence is heavy, perhaps for good reason. It still makes the whole experience feel somehow fraught, like I'm shoplifting when I haven't even found anything on my list. At leas they do validate parking for up to 2 hours, which is probably the best part of shopping here. read more

I knew better, but I went anyway and now I remember why. Two Stars. They had what I needed, but the experience was awful. I only came to the 5th Street Target because it was the only place that had what I needed,a simple pen for black label for homemade gifts. I came against my better judgment, and honestly, I wish I hadn't. First off, the parking is a mess. You have to park in the garage and get validation to avoid paying $7. There's no handicap parking right in front of the elevator entrance either, which makes things way harder than it should be. I could have used street parking but didn't feel like being hassled by the men that wait in front of the store. Once I got inside, I started noticing a man, Hispanic, curly hair, maroon shirt, no name badge walking past me multiple times in different sections. First in the makeup aisle, then again when I moved to another area, and again a third time. It really felt like he was watching me, not shopping. He made me super uncomfortable. I was using the Target app to scan items and make sure I was getting the right prices. Just trying to get in and out quickly because, truth be told, I've been avoiding Target for a while now. When I checked out, one of my items rang up higher than what the app said. I went to Guest Services, showed the price on my phone, and was told I must've grabbed the wrong thing. I hadn't, I scanned it myself before adding it to my cart. All this over a few markers. I'm sticking with my boycott. I came here trying to support my own project and left feeling watched, dismissed, and frustrated. read more

Coming from out of state im glad this store was nearby and accessible. Got what I needed and a cute dress. One worker was friendly and inviting and helpful read more

If I could give this zero stars, I would. This target is a pain to get to, the parking lot is the size is the size of my left pinkie toe, and you're screwed if you lose the parking ticket even though it's free. This target would be a great place to go to if you're looking for a singular potato chip or piece of gum. They have literally nothing and the workers seem to be operating on their singular brain cell. This location sucks. read more

Went to pickup an order that I placed online. The sales associate was stubborn, unhelpful, and flat out rude during the whole transaction. I will not be shopping there again. read more

Terrific location right downtown. Very nice selection of items and good pricing. I got some kitchen staples!

Visiting from California. Have not been to Target since November. I was excited to make a purchase of several items from clothing to shoes to toiletries. I was using my app and scanning my items. The checkout girl passed me on to another sales associate who then proceeded to check two other people before finishing with me. I asked if i could be checked out. They seem annoyed i was using my App. I also wanted to order a quilt i. found on sale for $41.99. I was then passed on to a throws associate who told me if i ordered on line it was full price. I did order it but was told they could not honor the Sale Price. Very disappointed read more

It's been 1 whole year since I last left a review for this Target location & I have to say that, while I enjoy shopping at this Target store after a brunch trip to Snooze AM, which is located a few stores down..this store has lost some of its shine. My biggest "eh" about this Target location is the restroom. There's nothing worse than a nasty public restroom & since this location only has 2 restrooms that are coed shared, there have been a few times, where I just walked right out of the restroom because of how nasty it was w/ out even using it. read more

Cashiers here are awful. Asked dark haired guy working today how to scan my readers & he says use gun in self help register. Okay, Then I go back & ask him about parking validation. Rudely he says "bar code, clear bin". Sorry you hate your job dude. Don't be rude to customers supporting said job. read more

I needed to grab some things from a pharmacy while out for a walk in this part of Austin about a month ago and was pleased to happen upon this Target location. It was way cleaner and better organized than almost any Target location I've been to in years, so I was quickly able to find what I needed and get out. Definitely nice to have this around for some basics shopping. read more

Not the best target experience I have had. Not really ADA. If it was not for the helpful security guard seeing me struggling I wouldn't have been able to get in. Using a walker and on O2 I have to mind my steps. I asked for bottled waters. Was told they were on the back shelf along the back wall. I got there and there was only the gallons. Walked back to the front and they had a display by the register. I had to ask for someone to unlock a nursing pillow, really! A short shopping trip lasted almost two hours. No one wanted to help and were annoyed when asking for help. Thank you to the security guard. Will not be back to this location. Oh and had to pay for parking ;( read more

It has everything I need for any of my quick errands. Clean, organized, and great costumer service. I love that I can ride my bike here, and it helps to check the Target app for things that are in stock and inventory has been accurate. Regular Targets can be waaay too overwhelming and just busy. This one mainly has self-check outs, but there's always a Target employee nearby in case you need help, they also have two regular registers. Fair prices, some sales, will come here every time. read more

One of the many Targets in Austin. They have a free lot with purchase or paid street parking. Located next to a Whole Foods. Small but they have a good selection of stuff. They compact everything inside pretty tight. Good if you need trip supplies and basic grocery snacks. read more

Worst store Ive been in across the USA. The checkout people are among the worst I have experienced.

they say the best part of Texas is their southern hospitality where was that when i asked a question to the short girl with curly hair at self check . I asked if the parking was free because i wanted to make sure and she gives me the dryest reply not even explaining that the self checkout is going to print a "free parking voucher" for those who shop . read more

I have tried to shop in this store but it is a #hit hole. Is this the experience that corporate wants to promote? The grocery store section shelves are empty. The woman clothing department has stuff strewn out over the floor. The store is in disarray. The store is located in Stone Hill Shopping Center, Pflugerville Tx. read more

Weirdest circumstances in the world for me to end up at this Target multiple times. I was supposed to be in Europe on vacation when this Target opened, but alas Coronavirus happened and here we are. Happy to finally have this Target in my neighborhood, only wished it was a bit bigger. The 5 stars come from their employees. Obviously it's been a ****ing mess trying to get toilet paper thanks to all of the hoarders. I was almost out and kept going to this Target daily since their app said they had it in stock. It wasn't every time I went. I finally spoke with one of their team members who was going to be nice enough to take down my phone number and try to get in touch when a shipment came in. Then he disappeared in the back and found a big pack that came in on that day's truck. I've never been so emotionally moved from getting TP! read more

Small Target but has all the essentials. Also has a CVS attached which is very convenient. Lots of security so you feel safe. They validate parking in the parking garage read more

Not a fan of this Target. It's a mini Target, often doesn't have what I am looking for. It's right next to the Whole Foods on the East Side. They really don't carry a lot of what people are looking for. Many people go in looking for something, and then leave with something they settled for instead, because they didn't find what they were actually looking for. There is complimentary parking in the garage, which is nice. Just not a typical Target experience. read more

Very nice target that I enjoy going to. Prices are right, they have adult beverages for sale, everything is clean, and they allow puppies in

Great new store and design! I found everything I needed and store employees were very friendly. Love the new location and format. It's really awesome to have a neighborhood Target. Shout to the store manager, Joe. He's was very helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend that everyone go to this Target! read more

Came here for some Hanukkah stuff and was informed they don't carry anything. Like NOTHING for Hanukkah, not even a cheap menorah or dreidel. Of course there was plenty of Christmas decor. The store employee told me it was probably because they're a "smaller location." ...I'm confused. Are Jewish people not allowed to shop at a smaller Target?? Instead I have to drive 20 extra minutes out of the way to not feel like a freaking loser? Thanks, Target. Really screwed up on that one. read more

Place a big red target walking distance from all the east side apartment complexes? Let me just kiss it on the bullseye.

This location had nothing that I needed (my bad for not checking the location inventory in the app, I know). None of the face lotion or other items for which I go to Target. Mental note: it's garage parking so you have to get a bar code from target when you check out - the signs say it's on your receipt but it is, in fact, not. read more

I went into the 901 E. 5th St. Austin,TX Target to grab a couple things and I wasn't able to find the tylenol rapid release pills, so I walked around to grab a couple things and a gentleman named RJ asked me if I needed anything so I mentioned the Tylenol and he looked to see if they received a shipment but they did not so he was able to find me another store and helped me order and pay so all I had to do was pick up the order! This is my secret go-to place to stock up on some essentials during this coronavirus time period. Great location downtown and easy access parking if you aren't walking or biking. The staff had been super helpful and friendly. This place has been clutch during this whole CV19 sh*tshow. Came in for online order pick up and I was promptly helped. As I was waiting a couple of employees approached me to see if I needed help but obviously had been helped already.
