Why is this CVS full of employees with attitude. Came in to quickly scope out the toilet paper way in the back since I was in the area anyway. I check every once in a while during this pandemic since I hate driving to Walmart, it's too packed. Anyway, I asked the front register girl if they had any of the hard to find lysol or clorox wipes behind the counter, she looked at me like I insulted her and shook her head no. This is just one example of why I prefer the CVS on Firestone and Paramount instead of this one, but again, I was already in this area running errands. With this whole Covid-19 thing I try to run all my errands in one day maybe twice a month. Last month I did go to the CVS on Firestone and Paramount. When I asked that manager with the long black hair behind the register if she had clorox wipes left she happily told me yes and asked if I wanted 2 from the case behind her. I said thank you since I do the shopping for both my mother and mother-law, both seniors, and I share the wipes since they are hard to find. read more

This place is horrible, I've been coming here for years and the pharmacy is a joke now. A line from the counter to the end of the isle and 1 person helping people!!!! I asked the store manager what the deal was he replies " it's out of our control, they've cut the hours and only have one person at the counter now" he said they've complained many times but cvs won't increase staffing or hours for the pharmacy. After 12 years of mediocre service I am officially never visiting this location or any CVS again. The woman giving vaccines and booster shots is not only rude, she's misinformed and ignorant. And this is clearly a branch wide problem as the Minute Clinic nurse practitioner who introduced herself as such (impressive?) and as being far too busy to a) take the extensive time required to give my daughter a booster shot or b) give us some idea about how long the wait in the 100% EMPTY clinic might be, is somehow also unaware the children can receive the Moderna booster. Both of these women took pains to inform me that she would need the Pfizer vaccine which is simply not true. Had they asked any questions at all or bothered to look at her proffered vaccination card clearly showing two doses of Moderna, or actually listened to the word "booster" that I uttered no fewer than 5 times, they would have been able to at least appear to be knowledgable, caring professionals. CCS Florence: Your pharmacist is rude and lacks even the most rudimentary social or customer service skills. Your nurse practitioner is a word I won't type here, also rude, unable to think critically, a poor listener, and DANGEROUSLY ignorant of which vaccinations are available for which age groups. My favorite part was when some lightbulb must have gone off and she declared regarding my daughter, "Oh she can have Moderna!", um yeah I know. That's why I just asked for it. I used to come here all the time and I never had a problem. But in the last couple of months this place has gone to shit. Pardon my language. Today I went in to get my medication and the cashier said "uhm you don't have insurance." I JUST filled a prescription here 2 weeks ago, how could that be? Apparently I wasn't the only one with this issue because there was 4 other people waiting for the same thing. The pharmacist was so rude when I asked how long the wait would be. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I ordered a picture of my daughter recently, with a free promo code I had and it was "lost". They didn't even try to look up in the system, they didn't offer to reprint for free. They didn't have an explanation on why it was missing. They were just like oh well. CVS is ridiculously expensive. They are double the price of Target and customer service is lacking. Lines are always long and cashiers are rude. Came here thinking I could grab some chocolates for the kiddies Christmas baskets, but no such luck. Even the bag of M&M's were $5, wtf? It seems like they try to take advantage of people's desperation, not very nice. The one thing I do like about CVS is that they have an abundant supply of gift cards. At least I know what I'm paying for and I know that I could grab some for any occasion like birthdays or Christmas. Check out your mile long receipt for some coupons and discounts when you sign up for their rewards program. The lady in front of me saved herself like $30 on $50 worth of items, that is amazing and I'm sure if I came here often enough to throw my money away I'd save that crazy amount as well. CVS is the closest pharmacy to my home and I used to be a regular customer. No more. I may frequent the store for greeting cards or balloons, but I avoid it for prescriptions. my decision to change pharmacies six years ago was reenforced. Two days ago my doctor faxed a prescription to lessen the duration of flu to my regular pharmacy, Walgreens. Walgreens did not have the dosage in stock and I suggested CVS. After an hour I called and was told Walgreens could not get through. I said to keep trying and then I decided to also call CVS on my own. While on hold for 45 minutes I put it on speaker phone and changed clothes, applied my makeup, styled my hair and then I hung up. Never, ever will I do business with them again. CVS corporate needs to hire more personnel. I see in previous reviews the same situations were noted. Not acceptable. Walgreens gets busy, too, and I have felt put upon to wait a mere five minutes for my call to be answered. Now I appreciate what I have!! Yesterday, they transferred my prescription to another Walgreens that is a couple miles away. With the Tamaflu prescription, time is of the essence. Be clear that this negative review has nothing to do with the CVS employees. They may be as frustrated as I with the work flow in their pharmacy. Phones are the lifeline of any business. This CVS is a favorite of mine because of the fact that it is open 24 hours and has a great selection throughout the store. Ok, now that I got the positive out the way let me start off with the cashiers. Whether you come in around noon or at midnight, the cashiers are some of the slowest i've seen. You come in to ring up your items and they don't even make eye contact, no conversation, no smile, no enthusiasm. Just kinda sucks the joy out of the place. I've dealt with the manager a couple of times whenever they cover the registers. They are the same if not worse than the cashiers that are there. They have their paperwork out and are doing inventory while they ring up your items. If you need something after hours, by all means stop in if you need multiple items. Other than that avoid and try out Walgreens down the street. read more

This place is open 24/7, so if you have an emergency, you can come here. There is a great selection of everything and it's clean. The security guards do a good job, too. The cashiers are generally upbeat and helpful for people who are working a graveyard shift (I would hate that, shout out to them). The "beauty advisor" here, however, got offended when I called her a "makeup assistant" stating "excuse me, I refuse to be titled as that when i deal with all kinds of beauty products." She had a snooty attitude and I walked off in tears of laughter, thus resulting in going to the CVS down Paramount at Firestone. She needs to realize she works for CVS, not the MAC counter. This CVS pharmacy has really gone downhill. I thought the one they have in the City of Bell was bad. They are unacceptably slow in processing RXs. They give you a wait time to start for filling your RX and NEVER fill within that time frame. They always go past the time and tell you 15 more minutes over and over. I'm switching my prescriptions to Ride Aid. I appreciate honesty and accuracy this locations missing on both. Tell me two hours if that is what it will take. And have it ready in those two hours. We thought it would be more convenient to have a prescription sent here by the doctor after my wife had surgery rather than our regular pharmacy. So, after picking up the prescription I asked about a couple other things... Q: "Do you have sterile saline for wound washing?" A: "I'm not sure, you can ask the Pharmacist there at the Consultation Window" Q: (To Pharmacist after 10 minute wait) "Do you have sterile saline for wound washing?" A: "No, we don't sell that here" Q: "Do you have sterile cotton tip applicators?" A: "No, we don't sell that here, try B&B Medical Supply in Bellflower". He actually took a picture of B&B's address he has on a card taped behind the counter for me with my phone! 17 people at the checkout area. 2 check stands open. Why do people bring their small children to CVS on a Sunday at 9:20 pm? CVS is now below Walmart on the food chain. (Note: Walmart has all the things I was looking for) Lesson learned. read more

[i have no "conditions" etc...] anywho had an dental ER & was prescribed antibiotics - 4 a day for 7 days = 28. i get home & start taking them & notice i'm running out, hum that's odd. i count them not enough. i look on the bottle 21 pills!!! why would they give me 21 when the label THEY PRINTED clearly says 4 a day for 7 days = 28???????? carazy! why would such a thing happen? i have to go back for 7 pills? if they ran out which i cannot see happening they should have told me they only had 21 that day & when they would get more in. This pharmacy has the worst customer service ever! They're extremely busy and only have one staff member accepting drop-off prescriptions. I waited in line almost an hour (only 2 people in front of me) and had to leave because my daughter had a fever and I needed to fill her antibiotic prescription as soon as I could. The staff is rude and never makes eye contact with their customers. They don't have consideration nor compassion for those waiting ridiculous amounts of time. Take your business to Walgreens!
