Great flavors, but wished they had more veggies or something else in the dish. Maybe asparagus or green beans or something that can give it a bite. But overall, i love this pasta dish! Needing a small break after going to an art exhibition, we decided to try Cuvee even though the location would seem to indicate less than a good experience was to be expected. We were quite surprised at the variety of foods available for breakfast and lunch as well as a fairly good selection of wines. We only had wine and beer but the service was good and the ambiance nice. Looks like a nice place for lunch, especially at the outside tables. read more

Speaking of hidden awesome restaurants! Cuvee 2 is by far the greatest discovery this month!! It's located in the CAA building right next to coffee beans. The food is decently priced and the portions are huge! All the salads are fresh and there are varieties of selections to choose from. I had the Ahi tuna with two side salads and it was pretty good! It's definitely a nice area to have casual lunch with friends or coworkers during the weekdays. They seem to have awesome wine selections, so I gotta check out what their deal is. I walked in here and asked what "Cuvee" mean't and the staff person had no clue(I looked it up and found out it's French for wine/champagne blend; the staff there should know that). I talked to the manager to make an order and was shocked at how rude the guy was. He just talked at me without paying attention to what I said with almost no customer sevice skills. After reading other reviews here; I can see this guy gets alot of complaints on his bad manners. This place is in the Century City office park with several other restaurants which looked like much better choices. read more

Solid, filling and healthy lunch spot. I got the turkey meatloaf combo, which comes with two salad choices. I chose the cucumber salad and the roasted veggies. The turkey meatloaf was moist but the serving size was really small for $13.50 (see pic). The cucumber salad was a refreshing take on an Israeli salad with a touch of feta to add a salty bite. The roasted veggies had a perfect char. The staff was efficient too - I got my dish in less than 5 minutes despite a huge lunch crowd. The place is VERY loud but there is a courtyard outside where you can take your food to go. I'll be back! read more

The service, the price, the presentation and the flavor are all top notch at this cozy location tucked under an eave between The Annenberg Space for Photography and CAA. Had the lunch special with sauteed swordfish, spicy broccoli and Moroccan couscous. Swordfish can be hit or miss, particularly in the preparation, but Cuvee got it just right - flaky, moist and flavorful, served on a bed of couscous with colorful red and yellow sweet peppers, and tender asparagus tips alongside perfectly steamed broccoli which even with the red pepper flakes was decidedly not spicy but the olives were a wonderful addition. Fresh salads, prepared chicken breast and salmon were artfully arranged in the deli case. Kinda a lowkey, power spot. I saw some Hollywood legal elite tucked away in a corner, quietly deal making under walls shelved with wine. Definitely a new lunch time favorite. read more

Great lunch option for when passing through Century City or checking out Annenberg Space for Photography. I work near by and often walk over to Cuvée to grab a bite. Salmon and sea bass lunch specials are my go to's but my coworkers enjoy the sandwiches and have complimented the crab cake salad. Outdoor patio is nice on a beautiful day and the people watching is top notch with the CAA building next door. Dishes come out quick and always with a smile. Grab a glass of wine to unwind and compliment your meal. Looking forward to checking out the breakfast menu. read more

New restaurants salivating over the prospect of a few thousand captive office workers robotically herding into the dearth of local lunch choices and opening their fatted wallets on a daily basis are becoming as omnipresent in Century City as the double digit price tags for the relatively microscopic sandwiches being served in these swindlers' palaces. But Cuvee was going to be different. When the price of a sandwich is north of $10, it just can't possibly be bad, or small, or flavorless. The menu looks good, and creative, and no one would have the gall to charge a ridiculous amount of money for just a sandwich if they can't back it up with quality and quantity. Ah, but if you've ever seen those Leptoprin ads ("When is a diet pill worth $153?") or the ad for the 4-minute-a-day exercise thingamajig known as the "ROM time machine" (which looks like a Rube Goldberg contraption that suffered a fall down six flights of stairs--oh, and retail price: $14,615), you know all too well the power of setting a price so insanely high that people feel absolutely compelled to buy your snake oil. That said, Cuvee opened today, and I figured, well, I should at least give it a shot. The food is mediocre. The prosciutto/mozzarella/tomato sandwich is shockingly flavorless, which, considering the ingredients, it most certainly should not be. Plus, for the price, it was very small, on a tiny little baguette, served with a small pasta salad (which, in fairness, was decent). All in all, considering the price and the quality, I'd give it two stars. Deduct a half star for the excessive plastic packaging. At the rate of new, overpriced, and perpetually crowded sandwich shacks popping up around Century Park, the twin towers will be awash in plastic mountains inside of 10 years. They offer free delivery in the area for a $10 minimum order, which is nice. What is not nice is that they forgot to include my co-worker's chips that are supposed to, but did not, come with the order. So I called down there (it's just right downstairs) and advised them of the omission, fully expecting that they would kindly offer to run the bag of chips back to our office, at which point, I likely would've said, no, very nice of you, but that's ok, if you could give me some sort of refund or something, that would be great. But no, they did not offer it. They said "how about if we give you 'store credit'?" Store credit for a bag of chips? What, like a gift card with a buck on it or something? This annoyed me, so I held firm. "No, actually that won't be ok. I'd like you to send the chips over, please." They said they would. It's been more than three hours now. No chips. Obviously, I'm not getting them. Obviously, I was never going to get them. Thanks, Cuvee. You've set a new record for the quickest pissing off of a new (and now former) customer. I work very close by so this is one of my go-to lunch spots. Have really healthy options. The specials are usually really good, with loads of seafood options (always cooked well). The quinoa is cooked and seasoned perfectly. I always get it no matter what I order as the main plate. The salmon is always decent. The sea bass is great. Melt in your mouth great. They also have a great wine selection and really delicious desserts. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. The parking situation is really bad -- that's why I only eat there because i have parking through work. Wouldn't otherwise pay for super expensive Century City parking just to grab a bite. The service can be somewhat slow during the lunch rush. But that's to be expected given the number of patrons they serve in the weekday lunch hours. read more

yay! so glad i went here today, because i discovered that Cuvee is better than it's neighbor, the Mendocino Farms chain. yesterday i got a banh mi from MF & it was OK. it didn't come with a side and was $16. today i got a turkey & avocado wrap from Cuvee. it came with a side of your choice AND a few pieces of a surprise pickle medley that sure tasted housemade to me! and it was just $15... so, Cuvee wins this one MF! Eh, it's ok. Definitely convenient for people who work in Century City, but it's not awesome. I recently had the daily special which was a sesame seed-crusted ahi tuna with quinoa and salad and overall I thought it was just fine. The crust on the fish was yummy, but the fish itself was not top-of-the-line (I mean, it was only $13). The salad was ok. A little soggy, but the quinoa was a nice touch. I will say they had a bunch of make-your-own options up at the counter where you can pick and choose a protein with two sides/salads, and maybe I should have done that. Next time! It's nice they have an outdoor patio, but honestly the service is pretty terrible. They served my coworker his food like 10 minutes before me which was just kind of awkward, and then they totally forgot to bring his side soup at all. I absolutely love their Cobb salad here (no bacon, no egg, balsamic on the side). It's delicious. Call me what you want but I am ADDICTED to that salad. I only get to have it once a week cuz this place is a little pricey, but like I said, I gotta do what I gotta do to get my fix. Their chicken salad (as in the mayonaise-based kind) is absolutely delicious here as well. This place is a good bet if you're in Century City and want something fairly healthy for lunch. The staff is also very helpful and accomodating. Be warned, check your order if you get take-out, because 1/5 times, it will be wrong. However, they are very quick and friendly about replacing it. UPDATE: While I still LOVE their Cobb, I actually ate inside last week and it was deafeningly loud. I had to practically shout to the person across the 2-person table from me to talk to them. I've been to Cuvee several additional times, and have successfully grown to despise it. The food is consistently lackluster, and the service is absolutely horrible. I have never been here without someones ordering being messed up or someone food being brought out 30 minutes after everyone else's. Oh, Century City... why do your lunch options suck so much? Cuvee is okay. They actually have a decent selection of food items. I normally get their chicken + 2 salads for $10 + tax. Most of the salads change every day, but there are so many to choose from that it's tough to not find something that looks good. I don't really enjoy paying $10 for lunch, but it's quite a lot of food, so it would be totally reasonable to save some for a mid-afternoon snack. AND if you choose your salads correctly, it can be a really healthy meal (the chicken is grilled). read more

I'm kind of bummed because I actually really liked the food here. I really liked the salmon I had and the salad options. But both of the times I went they got my order wrong which was upsetting and then I found a hair that was definitely not mine in my food. I liked the outdoor seating, inside you might be a bit more cramped and its darker. I think upon first entering you can get a little overwhelmed because there are so many choices! I would recommend taking a look at the menus then going to wait in the line. There is a salad bar portion where you pick a cold ever and some sizes as well as a kitchen menu. The kitchen menu takes a little longer so it might cause a bit of a wait difference if you're there with other people. This is a lovely little cafe near lots of high end shopping and is walking distance from Cedars (if you're not in heels). I met one of my favorite doctors here for lunch. It was significantly more affordable than Chaya or any of my usual lunch spots near Cedars. They have a beautiful selection of salads, sandwiches, and pastas and stuff. Order at the counter then find your seat and the server will bring your entree. Don't miss the impressive full coffee bar and dessert selection- gorgeous cupcakes, brownies, cookies... I only go here to get coffee because they have LAMill coffee. The coffee is good, but the service..well, how can i say this...um, SUCKS. Every time my co-worker and I would go to get coffee, we'd be charged a difference price. So one time I pointed out to the cashier that other places that sell coffee usually don't charge tax. She told me I could have my 25 cents back if I wanted it in a nasty tone. Guess what? I SURE DID TAKE IT BACK! read more

Cuvee Century City is a solid 4-Star lunch restaurant. I have eaten here at least once and sometimes twice a week for the past 2+ years. It's clean and well managed--the actual owner who has years of high end restaurant experience is there most of the time. There are many healthy choices which is what I look for. The meats, fruits, and vegetables are high quality and it's a good value. The service is super fast and its a great see and be seen lunch spot too. The to go containers are excellent also. I have had most of the salads and all the meats including the chicken, salmon, and ahi. This place basically keeps me alive many days and I am glad they are there. My personal recommendations: Basil/Tomato Pasta, Turkey Pasta, Spinach Salad, Cucumber Salad, Fruit Salad, White and Green Asparagus Salad, Salmon, Calamari, Chicken, and of course the Bean Salad. Ask for the brown bread over the white--it's the best. read more

The salads are quite good and filling - namely the grilled salmon salad and the chicken breast salad. Quality and size of the salmon filet used is good! Avoid the cookies, as they are overly sweet and seem to all be sugar cookies even if they're called something else, but the pastries are all pretty good (fruit cobbler, apple tart, red whoopie pie, etc.). Lattes are average. Price point is $10-$15 per entree, so I see this as more of a dinner place than a casual quick lunch. *Update* I have returned for a sit down dinner and it was quite nice at the outdoor tables and in the always beautiful CAA courtyard space. The bread they give you at the beginning is like a thin baked herb pita which is scrumptious. We had the cheese plate (delicious and fresh with walnuts and grapes and bread) and I tried the grilled salmon entree with spinach and quinoa which was superbly cooked. YUM!! Those lucky CAA swanks. They get all the good stuff. Everytime I'm at good 'ol 2000 Ave of Stahhs, I see the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, but must have looked past this little gem tucked next door, right on the lovely little (ok, notso little) courtyard behind the monolithic CAA building. The interior was cute and cozy, reminiscent of another Century City gem, The Cellar, but a little more posh. I tried a plate of 3 prepared salads, and they were yummmmy. Got to eat outside, get some sunshine, and service was swift and prompt, portions were hearty, and price was really no more steep than any other office drone cafe in the 'hood. My company caters from Cuvee every other week, so I've had Cuvee food for awhile now, although I've never been to the restaurant. So just commenting on the food, it has very clean and healthy taste. The menu is healthy with some beefs, chicken breasts, and salads. They carry some pasta as well that probably has too much mayo, but other than that, it's a good option if you don't want to feel guilty, but want to have a fulfilling meal. read more

Since I work nearby, Cuvee is a great option if I'm not feeling like eating greasy delicious burger-type food from The Stand (an equally awesome place). I know for some people this is pricy, but if you don't eat a ton then this is perfect. I got two sides: Mushroom Pasta (SO GOOD! With THyme!!) and Roasted Veggies. Came out to around $10 and they really filled up the plastic to-go box. I could have easily made that into two meals, or three snack-type meals. It is a tad on the oily/saltier side--but I personally like that and again, since I'm not devouring the whole thing it is not overwhelming. I would NOT drive all over here just to come here. Excited today I was, as I was fortunate enough to try Cuvee. Never had it, so I was intrigued. I had a sampling of quite a few items today, including the aspargus chicken, and panko crusted sea bass. Here's the key takeaways: 1) The aspargus chicken, was tasty, but drowned in some oil based marinade.... now thinking about it...perhaps butter. I ate part of the chicken breast, only to find that cutting into part of the chicken was pinkish. (undercooked). Other part looked okay. 2) Panko crusted sea bass was tasteless. Fried fish from long john silvers is arguably more tasty than this. 3) I've noticed some other reviews state that this food looks healthy. Well, of all the sides I tried, I did not find one which was not drowned in oil. This included the grilled veggies, couscous, angel hair, and red beet salad. And what I mean by drowned in oil, is that everything glistens... in oil. After your done eating, you'll notice your plate thoroughly covered in oil. Healthy? I think not...there are healthier choices when eating out. read more

DO NOT PLAN A GROUP EVENT HERE. The staff here was unreasonably rude and ruined a work event I planned. I made a group reservation for a work event a week in advance for 18 people at 5 pm . When I arrived at 4:50 for our 5 pm reservation the door was locked and I could see staff inside cleaning up. The doors are glass and they could see me waiting. Assuming they were preparing to open, I waited outside until 5 pm. At 5 I knocked on the door and the staff looked up but ignored us otherwise. After I repeatedly tried to get their attention they just signaled with their hands that they were closed. At this point, with a bunch of my colleagues on their way, I kept trying to get the staff to come talk to us so I could figure out what was happening. Eventually a man came close to the closed door but wouldn't open it. I explained the situation- we have a big group event and a reservation. He just walked away. Like he didn't even respond. Then I saw a woman at the register area with a phone so I called their phone number. SHE ANSWERED THE PHONE AND THEN HUNG UP! I could literally see her do it. I completely understand if there was some urgent problem that caused the restaurant to close, but 1) failing to call us earlier in the day to let us know they could no longer host the event 2) completely ignoring a customer who is just trying to figure out ur what is going on, and 3) hanging up the phone is UNACCEPTABLE! I was ready to spend plenty of money here and was looking forward to coming back for happy hour many more times in the future, but I will never be returning. read more

It's not that Cuvee has done something wrong to me but rather what they haven't done right for me in that they consistently serve grocery style store food. It appears pretentious at first with expensive bottles of wines showcased along their walls and framed Chateau Mouton Rothschild wine labels hanging by the door, but that quickly dissapates when you encounter their less than sophisticated service. Most of their food is precooked and prepared ready to be placed on a dish or in a to-go-order to appease the heavy lunch crowds from the surrounding office buildings. The Grilled Vegetable Salad with Goat Cheese is okay, and their grilled sandwiches are also okay. The pastas and fish are overcooked, and may be served cold unless you ask them to heat the dishes up. Parking is very expensive here and so this isn't one of those places you should bookmark unless you work in the area. read more

I came here to have lunch with a friend who works in the area. I loved the outdoor seating and thought the place had a better setup than its Robertson counterpart--much more logical and efficient. I ordered the usual seared ahi salad and had a great lunch with an old friend and even had leftovers to munch on later. Unfortunately, when I took the first bite of salad when I got home I caught the end of a LONG blonde hair, it took me a good 30 seconds to sift out the whole thing from my salad. I was just visiting the L.A. area and came here after I went to the annenburg photography exhibit. Pretty good spot for lunch. The service during ordering was not the greatest though... the guy taking my order wasn't too friendly and he kept talking to his buddy the whole time which made it a little hard for me to ask questions. Overall, I'd say this is the perfect spot to come in, order, eat, and then run. It gets pretty busy but there's plenty of additional seating outside. read more

It's more then what I like to spend on lunch but it's so tasty and a nice change from the mall! Out of the restaurants right in our area (Piknic, Habenero Grill, The Stand, City Express, Vista) it 's the best! The salmon salad is my favorite. I never get tired of it! The salmon is never fishy and it's huge! I like their plain balsamic vinegar and lots of lemon instead of dressing. Their sesame crusted ahi is really good too. I love their fish specials which are usually halibut or sea bass with grilled veggies and brown rice or cous cous. I get it with no sauce or sauce on the side to save calories. Their sandwiches, pastas, etc, I have heard are very tasty. I try and stay away from the fattening options. Their salad case always has terrific things to choose from as well. The soups are non dairy and omg the bread! I swear is the yummy bread from Cheesecake Factory! I haven't tried their desserts but the cookies and cupcakes are always calling my name.
