    Pancakes, eggs and bacon

Had a nice breakfast at Beverliz Cafe. French toast breakfast was delicious. The pancakes tasted like they came out of a boxed mix where you just add water - they were tough and not tender or fluffy. The eggs and bacon were great. I think I'll get toast next time. The cafe is cute and appears to be a local hangout. People are friendly and the wait staff are attentive. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Huge menu! Bowl of fruit was pretty generous and ripe. Breakfast burrito was an 8 out of 10. Chocolate chip muffin was ok but not anything special. Decor is very pleasant. It feels a bit like you're in Europe. Service very good. I would go back.

I searched Yelp for a place nearby for breakfast. I wanted a place where I could sit outside and enjoy the weather and people watch. Yelp always helps me out!! This place was super cute! It had a bright yellow awning, which made it easy to find. It had several cute, bistro tables, sitting outside, welcoming the hungry patrons. I walked in, and there were many tables inside, too, for those that don't want to sit outside. Quickly one of the staff greeted me with a smile and told me to sit anywhere I'd like. He was super friendly and very welcoming! I chose to sit outside, so I found a good spot for people watching. The first thing I ordered was coffee. They had many options for specialty coffees, which I would have loved to order, but I stuck with black coffee with heavy cream. I was surprised that they had heavy cream, because most people think that gravy cream is half-and-half. Which it is not. So that made my coffee drinking morning even better. The coffee was amazing and hot!! I am currently on a low-carb diet and the menu provided many options for me, which was great! I ordered a scramble which had ground turkey, veggies cheese, and it was delicious! Instead of hashbrowns or toast, I was able to get tomatoes and cottage cheese.. I know cottage cheese, and tomatoes doesn't sound very exciting, but it was very good. As I ate my breakfast, the gentleman checked on me often and was very friendly. I also witnessed him working with other customers, and he was friendly, welcoming, and had a smile on his face the whole time. I also saw that one of the employees does deliveries. He hopped on a bicycle with a basket that held somebody's order and went for a delivery. I thought that was pretty cool. I really enjoyed my breakfast and my quiet time on a beautiful day. I will definitely come back to this place next time I'm in the area.

Yum. Come here already. I come here for the eggs Florentine and add lox. Delicious every time. Great music, ambience, service I always come away from here w a smile...:)

Breakfast Burrito Bowl (with veggies) to go for $18 not worth it- they left out the potatoes.

I don't believe the quality of the food matches the cost here. I ordered a breakfast burrito bowl with veggies to go. They forgot to include the potatoes and it just lacked flavor. Not worth $18 at all.

Yummy cappuccino and Suzy's breakfast today! I just moved back to this neighborhood and now live a block away. I missed this cafe .

Yummy, fresh food with a nice little view. I missed this place! I moved back to the neighborhood and live a block away. Yay!

Sitting inside with a view of a not so busy street and rainy skies.

I really enjoyed the hospitality here. For me, personally, I love spicy foods and greasy foods full of flavor. I didn't get it from the standard chicken quesadillas but it wasn't bad. A little more on the bland side with not much flavor. The chai latte is incredible and the light music really brought the atmosphere together. I would recommend.

Nua is tucked discreetly inside a hedge on a beautiful street, across from City Hall, in Beverly Hills. You need to know where it is or you might miss it. I found it by chance while looking for unusual brunch places and it was more than serendipity, it was Kismet. I wondered what Nua, the name, meant. It seems it is most appropriately translated as "authentic" or "fresh". That certainly fits our experience. It can also mean "flow" or "movement" and that also applied as the entire time we were there, a cool, soft breeze wafted around us from a combination of the fresh air flowing in from outside on a sunny temperate California day and the delicate waves emanating from the brilliant Vornados (the only kind of fans we have in our house!) positioned strategically around the room. Our first impression was: wow, beautiful place! The mid-century decor and fresh flowers, the vivid colors that were well coordinated to confer a cheerful atmosphere everywhere we looked, and the glowing light streaming in from the huge windows enveloped us in welcome. Our servers were exceptional. Rachel and Josh took care of us as if we were family. They checked on us at the right times and made sure we had everything we could have wanted, and so we did. The menu is a dream, even for vegetarians. We had a hard time choosing, so look at my pictures to see what we got. Everything was fresh, unique, tasty, and beautifully presented. There was 1950s and '60s music bathing us in a soft retro mood, and the dining room was intimate and elegant. Parking: it is hit and miss. Sometimes the nearest public garages are closed or full. I would use the valet for the hotel, right around the corner. It is reasonable and convenient. There has not been a more perfect setting for this one-of-a-kind experience. But, for us, it will not be a one-off. We plan to return and soon. Loved it so much!

What happened to Nua???…read more It used to be a hidden gem; a warm, welcoming restaurant with exceptional food, genuine family-like service, and generous, satisfying portions. All of that is gone. The food is unrecognizable. The Israeli breakfast looked like a sad box lunch. The shook salad was essentially a bowl of arugula with a few stray vegetables hiding somewhere inside. And the famous Hummus Masabaha, once a signature dish worth returning for, has been reduced to a small cup of garbanzo beans with a drizzle of olive oil and a single egg, at less than half the size it used to be. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone who remembers what it once was. Bring back the real Nua!

IF YOU'VE NEVER TRIED PERSIAN FOOD, GO TO SADAF ASAP! You will not be disappointed. Bonus: The servers are incredibly welcoming and nice. A few tips. The "juicy chicken" is beyond delicious. Most people could get three meals out of one order, so consider getting it to share (or, like me, refuse to share with anyone so you can bring it home and enjoy all over again x 2). My daughter is partial to their beef koobideh, which she thinks beats her friends' mothers' version. The only slightly disappointing thing is the tahdig. Every time I've had this crispy rice, it is shaped like the pot it came from, so like a deep-dish pie of rice, with the crispy bits on top. Sadaf serves its tahdig with a stew, which I don't care for. But when I order plain tahdig, they charge the same $18 -- for $1 worth of plain rice! That's crazy! Even worse, you don't get the rice! They bring you a plate only of the crispy top portion of the tahdig, so you pay $17-$22 (depending on whether you order in the store or online) for what is just some bits of crisped rice. Maybe if you like the stew, this is worth it. But not plain, which is a bummer because I love tahdig!

We had to ask for it to go as our lunch break was basically over. Had to rush back to work and didn't really get to enjoy our food as there was no time left. In the end, we should have asked for a refund also as my order was close to 30 by itself. I just really wish they told us there was going to be a delay in prepping the food.
