Once again I had a delicious dinner delivered to my home! The food is so fresh and delicious. What a fabulous evening meal after a hot hot day! The ROASTED BBQ RIBS were amazing. I tried something new TOASTED SHRIMP & LEEK WRAPS. They aren't exactly wraps but small braised patties and they are really flavorful! And finally I ordered STEAMED SHRIMP HAR GOW. My friend and I went to Xi'an for lunch today. I had the lunch Garlic Chicken with brown rice and bowl of Hot And Sour Soup. My friend had the dinner Orange Chicken, which came with broccoli, white rice, and an order of green beans. She wanted to have things left over to take home for her dinner, which she did. We sat outside, as she always does wherever she goes, so her dog, a Lhasa Apso, can come along. He had a good time watching other dogs passing by on the sidewalk. Everything was very good. read more

I almost didn't order from here because of some of the negative reviews. But I'm glad I did. The food was excellent. I think it might have been the best orange chicken I've ever had because unlike most orange chicken plates, this one didn't rely on heavy batter. It was more chicken and less batter so it tasted more fresh and of high quality. The Mongolian beef and garlic asparagus were delicious too. My only critique is that the protein dishes are very expensive so why isn't rice included? It really should be at that price point. Otherwise, great quality, tasty food. read more

If you are looking for authentic Chinese and especially Xi'An food, avoid this place since they are just a high end Panda Express or PF Chang tailored to Americans. The fact that I was the only Chinese in the restaurant and also they do not have chopsticks on the table tell a lot. We ordered typical Americanized "Chinese" food like the walnut shrimp, beef broccoli, Mongolian beef, hot and sour soup, Singaporean curry rice noodle and surf and turf fried rice. We have had good experiences at xian but don't ever go there for Christmas dinner. They were short staffed either by design or they didn't show up.people were waiting and 3 tables were it cleaned up for almost 15 minutes. The portions were much smaller than usual. Cashew chicken had about 4 pieces of chicken, and wonton soup had a lot of veggies and wontons but hardly any broth, and we never received 2 dishes that were ordered. They did take them off the bill but we left hungry. They were so unprepared for a night that is always such a very busy holiday night. We may go back on a regular night but will find something else next Christmas. This was a disappointing experience. read more

We loved the decor. We were 20 and they were able to accommodate us together. The tables are not huge, so we were able to still talk to one another during the dinner, which made us feel like at home. One of the worst experiences we have ever had. The staff is incredibly rude. My dad had eye surgery was unable to see well and has dementia. The male server came to table screaming where is my tip. Had lunch at this Chinese restaurant in Beverly Hills. It has some lunch specials going on. Xi'an is a pretty nice looking place, but it's still casual it seems. Of course prices are kind of high, but they're not crazy for the area. There's lots to choose from, whether it's meat or tofu. At lunch is when to go. It's got a little better prices at lunch. That's not saying a lot though. Kind of high but the quality is good. There's a nice variety of things. It's about $17 for a lunch special. We got a couple of the vegetarian ones of these. Has quite a few to choose from. I had the Mapu Tofu. Good one for those who like spicy items. She had the Tofu With Black Mushrooms. A little mellower in flavor. The lunch specials come with a choice of salad or a soup. Great place for not so Americanized Chinese food. It's only open for dinner on Sundays, and the rest of the week has lunch. And then they hang up on you at least twice per night. The only option is to order online. And then you get to wait 2 hours for delivery. And once it is delivered food is cold and seemingly leftovers not to mention make sure to check the bag before the delivery person leaves as they never include all items you have ordered. Best advice is simply avoid and much more reliable and appreciative options out there for better food.l read more

We ate here in January 2024 We came to Xian to enjoy a nightcap on the night of the Emmy's. The restaurant had ample indoor seating, TVs were showing the awards and the outdoor patio was completely empty so we had it all to ourselves. The hostess was very sweet and considerate, she even brought water for our dogs. The waiter on the other hand was very rude - but more on that later. What we ordered was great (foodwise). I wanted to sample different areas of the menu but we were having a light after dinner treat. We started with a Sizzling Rice Soup - light and fresh and very tasty. Sauteed Spinach, very well seasoned and not overcooked Xiao Long Bao - this was good, not the best Xiao Long Bao I've had but definitely in the top 10. Crispy Crab Wontons - these were good, crispy and a nice size and texture. Delicious Lychee Mojito but presentation wasn't the best and the drink wasn't the best if I am being honest - the drink may have been the item that I should have gone without but I am a sucker for lychee. Now, to the service. The waiter first took about 15 minutes to take our order for drinks. I placed my order for the Lychee Mojito and it took about 12 to 15 minutes to arrive. My counterpart mentioned the slow service and the waiter let us know that was because the bartender was new and learning. That's understandable. Next, we ordered our food items and he was very impatient once again with taking the order. Had a private birthday party for my son's 60th last night at Xi'an and it was fabulous. The food was delicious, the service staff could not have been more accommodating and professional and every one of the 14 guests there had a wonderful time, The planning was made very easy, thanks to Vicki and Cece, and the staff adjusted serving the various dishes accordingly. The hands down favorites were garlic green beans, crackerjack shrimp and the lemon chicken (my favorite). and for next time, I know to cut down on the number of different noodle dishes. One wasn't that different from the other, and there was a lot left over. We were not rushed at anytime during the evening, and the closed off private room allowed us to celebrate in a more relaxed and natural manner, without worrying about being too loud. Given the name of the restaurant, I expected more noodles but unfortunately the menu had nothing to do with Xi'an. And the noodles that were on the menu were awful. The garlic noodles had a really odd, unnatural flavor. We left it largely untouched. The other items fared better in flavor, in fact, I'd say the fish was quite tasty. Unfortunately the quality of their food has really come down over the past 10 years. Also, the prices has increased which is fine with me but the portion size has also become smaller Last week we ordered for pickup Kung Poa Chicken and an Orange Chicken. Each dish was over $30 each including tax. The togo container size keeps getting smaller. The best part is they don't even fill the contain to the top. Also, the orange chicken now tastes very chewy and hard. 1/3 of the container is just broccoli so there barely is any chicken in it. The food smelled so good as I walked by I had to give it a try .. I noticed a couple eating crackers Jack shrimp. I used to go to the mandarin in Beverly Hills and was a regular until they closed down. I am so happy to have a similar experience. Cracker Jack shrimp had a nice kick to it tangy sauce and a slight crunch Lettuce cups didn't have that much flavor little cold but it still was good topped with a plum sauce .. Chinese food on Canon in Beverly Hills?! No fuong young way?! I can't believe I always miss out on this place and look at all the food you get?! This is the first time at this restaurant and it was really good! Come here for lunch and you won't be disappointed by the portions. Caught them double charging for a bottle of sparkling on the bill but they quickly took it off the bill. All this food came under $20 per person.
